Snapper inn is located in Miyakejima. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and microwave in a common area. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Amazing food. Friendly staff.
Cons: Shower room is not connected to main building, so it requires a 10 second walk outside.
Pros: Best service I ever had. He picked us up at the airport at 5am, got breakfast ready, got us to the electric bicycle rental place, helped us prepare our dinner (we bought stuff at the supermarket), got breakfast ready the next day, and helped us go from the bicycle rental place to the port. I have no idea how we could have done this trip without his help! Room wise, the room was wide, had tatami mat and a very comfortable futon.
Pros: Noda was a brilliant host. We were collected at the ferry port, dropped off at the airport, equipped with snorkel and goggles, introduced to any local information we were searching for and very well fed. Always again.
Pros: I don’t speak Japanese but they tried hard to help wherever they could, transferring my bag to the ferry port while I spent the day elsewhere, making me a mackerel sando for the road etc.
Pros: I had a very good time here even though I don’t speak Japanese and the guy running the place only speaks a little English. He will pick you up from the ferry and bring you back on the last day. He provided me with fins, a snorkeling mask and a bigger backpack for free and also dropped me off at a beach one day. The food was delicious.
Cons: This has nothing to do with Snappers but be aware that there is not much close by. If you have an international driver’s license rent a car. I used the buses which are quite inexpensive but they only go every few hours.
Pros: Comfortable futons, clean, spacious room, sea view from the balcony, delicious home-cooked breakfast, a highly recommended guesthouse. Hiro, the owner, went above and beyond to help us and make sure we squeezed everything we wanted to see into our short trip.
Pros: The owner was very friendly and helpful and requested good spots for watching sea turtles and observing bioluminescent fungi. The dinner and breakfast (japanese style) were very delicious.
Pros: The host is very friendly. He knows a lot about local birds.
Cons: The dinner was ok but the fish was a bit salty to us.
Pros: Noda-san was very helpful from the moment of booking. He sent me a mail asking if we want to do the Dolphin Swimming. Unfortunately, he didn't have the schedule on the weekend we were there, but he recommended some other shop who can speak English. The Dinner was so good, and breakfast was regular Japanese - rice, natto, miso, fish. Noda-san drove us from / to the ferry pier, very welcoming host! Definitely recommend! Snapper has a bending machine, which sells beer as well!
