The room was clean and did not smell. It was spacious and even had a fridge/microwave combo. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. The air conditioner worked just fine and we enjoyed our relaxing evening in after a long day's drive and anticipating another one the next day. The ice machine didn't work but I can understand how that happens. However this facility has both smoking and non-smoking rooms. The hallways, lobby, and breakfast area smell disgustingly like a stale ashtray. I was terrified walking to our room that it was going to smell like that because there was no way we'd be staying if it did. Luckily the room smelling nothing like the hallway and we stayed but they really need to do something about it. I couldn't even stay to eat where there were a few tables because it was smelled so heavily of stale cigarettes.
The location was good. It was quiet No TV for 4 days out of 6, no refrigerator like other rooms had, twice we had no hot water, continental breakfast sucked, toast, cereal, and frozen waffles and at 9 AM it was gone so heaven forbid you slept in a bit.
The room smelled like a dog. The bathroom floor was sticky.
FRINDLY STAFF QUICK CHECK IN DIRTY SMELLY ROOM VERY HARD BED AC DID NOT SEEM TO COOL WELL EVEN THOUGH IT WAS IN FIFTIES OUTSIDE ?
The staff at the front desk was very friendly and accomodating. The location was good for my needs. The facility was very large but we were still able to park near our room. We had no hot water and had to contact the front desk and were told the hot water heater had to be reset. the room smelled sweaty like the sheets hadn't been cleaned I was slighty intimidated about sleeping in them.
The staff was great and very helpful. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. The room accommodations were sorely lacking. The room was damp and had a very musty smell. The curtains and blanket on the bed had holes in it. The mirror fell off the wall within the first hour of us getting into the hotel room. We originally booked a 2-night stay and stayed only 1 night because we were too tired to change hotels after we checked in late in the day. The hotel is in dire need of a complete renovation because the facility is quite old.
The breakfast was better than I had hoped for. Room access was through the exterior perimeter of the facility. Main area of hotel was very dark and guest room was in need of updating If not total renovation. Should be sold to a Ramada Four Points Franchisee and updated. The Ramada down the block is just fractionally superior. It kind of sucks as well.
Was in a first floor room near the reception desk. A lot of banging late at night that could have been guests in floor above. Confusion about whether or not there is an airport shuttle.
The gentleman who checked us in, was a total sweetheart. He was helpful, understanding, and very professional while still holding a warm tone. He helped my family and I know where each other were, and he was genuinely sweet. Thank you so much!
the bed was comfortable, liked the flat-screen tv, fridge, and microwave. hairs left in she shower, a couple hairs in bed too.
The staff was very friendly The biggest problem was the HVAC unit in the room. The mechanicals were so noisy that I was awakened every time the unit went on. It sounded very very dated. Another issue were the dust mites that got my allergies going. This was not unexpected. Overall, the hotel was an inexpensive place to rest my head that is need of an update. In a pinch it would do.
Everything was great! Great value and perfect location to visit the SUNY New Paltz University!
It was a good value for the money, conveniently located and had a surprisingly good little breakfast for such a small hotel. Suggest that you advertise Free Wi-Fi because we almost cancelled our reservation because nowhere was that listed! The fact that the hotel was under renovation and had no hot water-rather inconvenient!
clean breakfast included close to New Paltz Village without being too close easy access to main highways Entrance is easy to miss on Terwillinger Street
The room was simple and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and the price was right. Lots of cigarette butts outside despite the receptacle provided. That's on some rude guests but a sign or two might help.
hot breakfast with protein (eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt), which is sorely missing at most motels. Original room did not have microwave and fridge, which we signed up for. Replacement room had fridge, which we needed very much. Microwave in common area worked fine.
Outdated! Furniture falling apart and carpets were dirty. Only available hotel with room in the area or we wouldn't have stayed there. We checked after seeing the room. Needs a complete facelift.
easy to get to and owner was very nice upon check in.
Total dive, would rather sleep outdoors, and definitely do not recommend this facility to anybody. What I liked most was driving away. I didn't like anything about this facility, in fact the room I stayed in had an unpleasant odor, and the bathroom window was open with the closer dysfunctional so I slept with one eye open.
Good location the rooms were from the 1950's. Horrific painting, 1950's wallpaper, there was an animal in the room at some point in time and the owners must have locked it into the bath. The animal chewed half of the door molding off of the wood. The toilet paper was
No bugs, the floor was new, and the bathroom was clean. Took three room changes to get one that was secure and didn't stink of cigarettes. Very dated (70s) and run down.
Nothing good about that room Room didn't look clean. Holes in draperies. Could smell smoke. I will never stay here again.
This is an economy motel and was excellent value, location for West Point is great. The staff were outstanding and friendly. The room was immaculately clean and warm. Not a dame thing forxxxx a night. Great value for money.
nothing Attitude of owner when asked for refund. Belligerent and threatening. Refused to listen to legitimate complaints even after we advised him that we were going to notify you and the town building inspector.
The owner was very nice. I felt the door lock was not as adequate as I hoped, but served its purpose.
Convenient location considering my travel needs. It was really funky, I like old timey places like this... but not for the price I paid. Room had a musty smell, old furniture, water was very coppery smelling/tasting. All things considered, it was overpriced for the condition of the establishment. I would’ve expected it to be priced accordingly between $---
The hotel staff were very friendly, and the room provided the basics: decent bed, television, and bathroom with shower. Even free WiFi. The location was convenient to West Point and other attractions in the Hudson River valley. The TV remote did not work, and there was no alarm clock in the room. Also, the motel's credit card processor was not working, so we had to pay with cash. These were minor inconveniences that didn't bother us much.
Location is great for an Event at Anthony Pier 9 as its right down the road. Beds are a little uncomfortable but the room is clean and is a good value.
1 clean, comfortable, large space room 2 owner is kindly 3 great location, only 10 mins to woodbury outlet
This place was--- a night. The room smelled really musty but it didn't bug me that much.
Proximity to 9W, cheap, get what you paid for
It was located near where I wanted to be and the price appeared to be very reasonable. There was a musty smell, the front window would not open, the bathroom sink was loose.
The room was clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. It's a very basic motel. You need to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, etc. However, it lived up to my expectations. I do wish that the lighting was better in the room.
Old school motel on a roadside, clean, convenient to Poughkeepsie and Fishkill, where we needed to go. Room with full kitchen (but we did not need it). Worked OK for our needs, but it ain't the Hilton. Not like a chain hotel in both good and bad ways. (think time travel to 1960) Old school motel on a roadside. TV picture did not work, only sound. Front door w/o a good bolt you can lock from inside. A little run down, but still clean. Not like a chain hotel in both good and bad ways (think time travel to 1960)
