Pros: Full kitchen facilities - fridge and freezer/gas cooker/
Cons: The shower curtain was loosely fitted as a free suspended one and not overly secure. The bed options provided a double and a single - both of us brothers were too tall to sleep on it _Head and Footboard - problem resolved quickly when raised - sofa bed in living area activated

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous hosts, delicious breakfast with homemade hams and local produce, big comfy beds and spotlessly clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect (if you have a car). Very close to Lorient and the beaches nearby. Fantastic breakfast. Very friendly staff, happy to give you all the tips you need, incl. on restaurants, places to visit, etc... Slept extremely well - mattresses are absolutely superb and the location in the countryside make it very relaxing. Family house very well maintained and fully equipped.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was OK - but why were there no eggs? We were told the Gites kept chickens which provided them with eggs. None offered to clients however. Room was clean but so HOT! We came back to find they had thoughtfully installed a portable air conditioning unit. However...see next answer.
Cons: We came back on Day 2 to find the owners had been in the room and removed the portable air conditioning unit without so much as a word. We had assumed (wrongly) that as it was offered voluntarily, it would have remained in our room for the duration of our three-night stay. Other guests had arrived by this time - maybe they got one night each... Slightly odd behaviour.

Pros: Very comfortable accomodations and amazing, delicious breakfast. Marylene was very helpful getting some supplies for us as we were walking the GR34 and there are no services nearby. She was also willing to serve breakfast earlier than usual as we had a very long day of walking the day we left.

Pros: Really good little chambres d'hote. The owners were lovely people. Couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast was excellent. The rooms are in a separate part of the house so whilst the owners are on hand you also have your own space. The facilities were also very good. Good Wi-Fi, great toiletries. The bed was very comfortable. The room had a shutter so was perfect for sleep without light.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything perfect, love this hotel, our second visit and we will return
Cons: Nothingb
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were able to upgrade to one of the larger rooms from the one we booked on-line. Our large room was very comfortable and elegantly furnished in a traditional style. The hotel is located on an estate, overlooking a grand country house and beautiful, spacious, well-kept grounds. The staff, especially the manager and co-owner, Brann, were very friendly and helpful. Our room and the hotel were impreccably clean. All in all it was a five star experience; we loved our stay there, the charming area and simple but delicious food in the nearby restaurants Brann recommended. We were quite sad to leave.
Cons: We opted not to take the breakfast (18 Euros) because we thought it was too pricey, although it sounded nice. There was nothing else to complain about.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful setting- the grounds wete a pleasure.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean and quiet. Lovely rooms
Cons: Very narrow steps up three flights of stairs. The property was way off in the woods so you had to drive everywhere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an ultra clean, quaint and beautiful little hotel. My wife and I loved the VERY comfy bed (I have a bad back normally), the great location, safe parking of our car and the REALLY helpful and likeable staff (all of whom spoke great English)! We came home feeling really very refreshed!
Cons: The only slight negative, if we were ultra critical was the value for money for breakfast. For 2 people this was 36 Euros, and when compared with say the cost of the excellent rooms, we found to be quite expensive for what was really a pretty simple breakfast. That said, we appreciate the hotel needs to pay for additional staff just for this and it certainly didn’t spoil our stay.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room at the top of the tower. The wonderful artwork. The woods and walks. The breakfast. The helpful and friendly staff.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful friendly service and exceptional location. Breakfast on the terrace was a delight.
Cons: We stayed during a heatwave. With no air conditioning it would have been good to have been offered a fan for our bedroom.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice outside location
Cons: Old fashioned
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Guests are special.
Cons: Small property with limited facilities.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly couple
Cons: The bathroom / toilet facilities . Could do with a on suite bedroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was larger than expected and very comfortable with bedroom, lounge, bathroom (with spa bath), separate toilet, and a central area with a billiard table! The breakfast was exceptional - fresh fruit salad, homemade yoghurt, lovely bread and croissants with unusual homemade jams (the peach and mint was superb!)
Cons: The first floor apartment was open plan with the rest of the house (dog gate at top of stairs), so there was no door to the central area which you crossed to get to the bathroom. All the rooms of this area had their own doors, of course.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners who were vey helpful.
Cons: Need to provide cups and glasses. The plastic cups are unsuitable for hot drinks.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Owner took us by car to nearby resturant. High standard of appartment
Cons: Cold reception. Surprised to see we were 2 men and we were insisting on 2 seperate beds. We had booked the apartment for 95 but owners insisted on us paying extra 40 e for having the two rooms
Overview Reviews
The Best Western Plus Hotel les Rives du Ter, opened in April 2005, offers 58 rooms all equipped with loggias, air conditioning, and views on the lake. There is no better place to combine work and leisure. For your meetings, six meeting rooms are at your disposal for a total measurement of 400 square meters. The biggest room has a maximum capacity of 180 persons. Book a table at the restaurant of the hotel "Cote et Ter" (90 seats - terrace), and taste traditional seafood and fish cuisine. And at last, keep in shape with our indoor heated pool, hammam, exercise room and massage showers. Enjoy your stay.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff, location is quiet and relaxing, breakfast a joy every morning.
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable room with lake view.Very peaceful location though a 35 minute walk to Lorient.Great leisure centre.Breakfast was particularly nice with good variety in buffet and the bonus of an electric orange juicer.Staff were really helpful and friendly.
Cons: Dinner service a bit slow on one of the two evenings we dined at the hotel.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel was under renovation and they mostly succeeded to hide this from the guests (i.e. so that it didn't influence hotel guests daily routine). Reception desk staff has good knowledge about nearby monuments and places that are worth to see. Hotel designer is somehow avanturistic (in a positive way). We were not able to understand what to do with a fish we got in the room. :-) You should check submarine base and sailing museum, just over the gulf.
Cons: There is a bad connection between booking.com and hotel IT system. Room with a breakfast in booking.com was charged as room without the breakfast and breakfast was charged additionally. Hotel manager personally promised to handle that.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, view from room, comfortable bed, good car park, reception staff very friendly.
Cons: Pool closed , quite expensive for stopover but lovely hotel in great location.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: excellent room size , good reception in and out, good location
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our queen size bed was lovely and comfortable. We went in the winter but the balcony would have been nice for a drink or a read if the weather was warmer. Staff friendly, good position, very calm and peaceful.
Cons: I thought the spa was a little too small. The swimming pool is a nice size if there aren’t many people. I think you should put up instructions for the sauna, no one took their towels in with them, which is what people usually do all around the world (I love spas!) also there were two young children in it and I’m not sure it was good for them, and no one seemed to take a cold shower after before going in the pool.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very calm. Incredible lake walk also most welcoming to children.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed in two interconnecting rooms with 3 children for one night on our way back up to Roscoff. Rooms extremely comfortable and very clean. Beside wellness centre and pool and opening onto enclosed terrace. Lovely breakfast in the morning. Set along a river- beautiful peaceful setting. Will definitely return.
Cons: Nothing
Chambre Hôte - Lorient - Building
9
8.9 Excellent (359 reviews)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: for starters The host Chang was kind to pick us up from the neighbour village since the bus dropped us there instead of Lorient actually on a holiday. The room was super comfy with a superb view. The house is surrounded by greenery and tranquility. There will be water, kitchen faciltiies, free tea, coffee and so on. The host is always there and if not he is a phone call away...Though there isn't much one would need. Perfectly suited for people with cars. There is a bus station 5 minutes away but the schedule needs to be checked specially in holidays...
Cons: The only issue is the morning bathroom use, 3 double rooms using the same...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Too comfortable
Cons: Shared bathroom
5.5 Okay
Pros: The décor. The air conditioning was a real bonus as the weather was hot. The location is handy for the N165 and Lorient.
Cons: We booked a room with private bathroom, the shower and wash basin was en suite but the toilet was under the stairs by the front door across the open plan living, dining, sitting room from our bedroom. A robe had been supplied, we now realise why, but we would rather not walk past people having breakfast to use the toilet. It would have been nice to have a bit more choice at breakfast such as fruit and cereal. The "swimming pool" was a temporary above ground pool approximately three feet high and eight feet wide not big enough to swim in. The property is a family home in a housing estate.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really comfortable, clean and welcoming. Room was excellent and a very spacious bathroom. Quiet getaway
Cons: You need cash to be able to purchase beverages. Not a dislike, just something to be aware of
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely house all amenities, good value.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is very nice and clean
Cons: Everything
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Kettle in the room with tea, coffee etc. but considering price facilities were good.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: I was there for work which was a 2min drive away, so the location was excellent. Surrounded by cafe's and a short walk to the waterfront. The owner was very helpful and friendly, made me feel very welcome. I'd stay here again.
Cons: Although the room was small, it was very comfortable. Maybe it could possibly have been improved by a small fridge or tea making facilities. I am also not a fan of wind-down shutters on a window. They feel like a prison though I am quite aware that they are very common in France.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: It would be good if the rooms had AC
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good WiFi and lovely owners. Very clean and great breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for two nights in July when the Tour de France was in Town and regard Inter-Hotel Lorient Les Océanes as a lucky find. We had a very pleasant and clean room, albeit up two flights of stairs with no lift but the hotel was within a fifteen minute walk of the Town Centre. Breakfast was good and plentiful and good value. We arrived quite late but the Manager, who was on reception, very helpfully 'phoned a local restaurant (La Brasserie du Coin) to check they were still serving. Parking is possible on the wide pavement, both in front of the hotel and across the road. A good stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great Breakfast room and great breakfast selectioo
Cons: While the room was comfortable the room furnishings need an upgrade,.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely friendly little hotel. Very clean and lounge/bar/breakfast facilities were great.

Pros: The room was nice and clean, but noisy. No door to bathroom/restroom. The staff was nice, but didn't speak English at all. Breakfast was ok.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, comfy bed and lovely alfresco evening meal and alfresco breakfast.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find on the edge of town. Excellent breakfast and friendly host who gave restaurant recommendations.
Cons: Lots of steep stairs up to the room. Noise from traffic and plumbing system during the night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is a little isolated but very close to major road (noise was not an issue). The room was fine/good although plenty of stairs as we were in the roof area. However the staff/owner were excellent and although the breakfast was basic the evening meal we had there was very good value and fantastic quality. I think it was probably the best meal we had during our 10 day holiday to France.
Cons: Just a lot of stairs to our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: good location the owner very friendly & staff . went to Guidel-plage half hour by car the owner recommended had a nice walk along the sea in the wood lovely place .

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and confortable room. Just a few minutes walking from the downtown and the ferrys. Hosts were very helpful and friendly.
4.5 Okay
Cons: Absolutely overpriced for this ugly room. The toilet flush didn‘t work at all and during the night I couldn‘t find any sleep because of the loud noises. WOULD NEVER GO BACK!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: close to town. #13 bus to the Eric Tabarly and Submarine museums is right there. Thanks for the concession tickets. Parking is good and €4 for a motocycle.
Cons: Its not the hotels fault that it was so hot, but it was their fault that they were prepared to do nothing about it, not even considering a fan, which, I tried to explain, would be a smart business move. So if it's going to be over the high 20c and your room is on the top floor and facing the road, I'd suggest you try somewhere else because you won't get much sleep. There was a persistent and annoying plumbing noise from the bathroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Bathroom is very small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable clean helpful staff , great jam, garage for motorbike
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely staff doing their best in a property badly in need of refurbishment.
Cons: This is an old property looking very tired. The first thing that strikes you as you go upstairs is the worn and ingrained carpet and the shabby upstairs corridotmr. Some minor improvements have been made (usb sockets in the bedroom) but the bathroom door was simply hanging from runners with no means of closing properly. The room (which was one of the more expensive) was very small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great for overnight- location, clean, convenient and friendly staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very pleasant hotel, very close to the centre. The staff were very helpful and answered all our questions, breakfast was fine, nothing too much trouble

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, efficient, convenient and good service. Free and ample public parking very close by. Buffet breakfast satisfactory. As good a place to stay in Lorient as any if in town for one or two nights.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good room, spacious and clean; comfortable
Cons: I drove to the hotel, I found a parking spot, but it's a public parking so you depend on your luck, basically. You're near the city center, so that's great, but the hotel's surroundings aren't that pretty
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room with a very comfortable bed, good pressured shower with free wifi to your use. Staff was very welcoming you.

Pros: The staff are really friendly, and go out of their way to help
Cons: Nothing really, maybe a little bit expensive.

6.8 Good
Pros: The location, very close to the station and nearby restaurants, excellent breakfast.
Cons: I don't think it's appropriate for a member of staff to enter my room unannounced when I am in it without very good reason. A knock on the door is only polite.

Cons: Too much of the shabby in the shabby but chic style.
9.5 Excellent

Cons: Rather pricey wine list!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Super location, friendly and welcoming, room excellent
Cons: Food good but not as exceptional as on last visit - despite gaining Michelin recognition and not cheap.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The setting and the food
Cons: The silly groups of fairies etc. in the gardens
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting was beautiful, the views from the dining room were very picturesque. The old mill was a very characterful building and the cottages around the grounds were lovely.
Cons: Our cottage was in a nice setting, but it was quite far from the restaurant, it would not have been pleasant if it had rained.Unfortunately there was not 'hot' water in our room. Although we were compensated for this I would rather have had the hot water. Because the hotel is set in a valley there is no wifi, which in the 21st century is a disadvantage. Breakfast was disappointing.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great cuisine. Quiet and romantic location.
Cons: Completely overpriced. Not up to 4-star quality standard. Old rooms in cottages scattered over the property. Damp and mold smell in the room. Old, passée bathroom with electric socket for the hairdryer and an old-fashioned timer-heater, no paint anymore on the doors and windows. Poor service at the restaurant and reception. Very weak wifi. Disappointing wine selection for the all-in with wine menu. Poor breakfast, completely overpriced.
7.0 Good
Pros: Dinner v good front of house staff very helpful and the manager? As good as you will find!! Who held it together and they need to keep keep that Chief or they are doomed!
Cons: Bookings should send directions!!!!, TomTom just no idera spent over one hour past the square, well we lost count. The furnishings, very little attention to detail, the budget, what budget ??? bed must be army surplus, sorry for the negatives we were so looking for ward to our stay. It is a interesting building but ounce through the doors that ends shame.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The surroundings are stunningly beautiful. Superb restaurant, but not cheap. This was apparently it's main selling point and purpose in life.
Cons: The bedroom (room 20) and en-suite needed a good overhaul. In fact the bathroom needed gutting and bringing up to date. The room is seriously overpriced in spite of it's lovely surroundings.
6.8 Good
Pros: Restaurants wine on offer was very, very expensive !!
Cons: May be offer a house wine, more affordable.
