Elegantly restored house on quiet green, but just a very short walk from castle and cafes. Room was lovely, and our hostess was very gracious. A number of choices for breakfast. After being in tourist-central for a few days, it was relaxing to stay in a quiet residential area of historic homes.
Staff was phenomenal!! Very helpful in every way, went, by far, the extra mile. Nothing
The breakfast was good. There was no heat in the room. The handles to the heaters had been removed (obviously a budget concern). The blankets had pubic hairs stuck in them. The bed decor looked like it was used in a 70's porno movie.
dirty, damp, smelly rundown hostel, had to book out after 3 nights to find a real hotel.dont know how they get away with it.should be closed down, its a fire hassard to, no night staff its a joke
Clean, comfortable, efficient Breakfasts adequate but could be better. (Eg nicer bread, more variety) Would push up the cost I guess.
Nice area. The ceiling fell down on us in our room in the night!
Price Poor greeting on arrival - house rules read out with no welcome - a bit like going back to school
nohot water in ensuit and either scolding hot or freezing cold in bathroom
Not much! There was no where to park and I had to park the car a quarter of mile down the road, the was no lift, the rooms where in a shabby condition and the shared bathroom facilities where disguisting and to it all off we saw a cockroach in the breakfast suite and when we complained the staff were rude to us. Do not stay at this hotel its horrible!!!!
Staff were friendly and professional.
The room was quite big, It wasn't really clean and the breakfast was a little bit poor...
The location was the only positive. We didn't want to stay there. The service was a disgrace. The room was tiny and didnt look clean. The fact that im getting charged for a room I didnt feel was sanitory enough to stay in.
Very friendly owner and daughter. We had an excellent breakfast and the room we had was large, comfortable and really warm as it was a cold night. Ideal location for visiting Blair Drummond Safari Park.
We stayed in the 5 bed room (there were three of us). The room was very nice and light and had a nice view across fields. There was a large lounge/dining room which we could use. Our host was both attentive and discrete and makes marvellous porridge. The room was fine for us, although I think 5 people would get under one another's feet - there is plenty of room in the lounge/diner. The towel warmer was extremely hot. Towels a bit scratchy.
How approachable and knowledgable the owner was, nothing was too much trouble for him. Plus the breakfasts were wonderful. How quick time passed !
The owner could not have made us more welcome We were allowed to bring a couple of friends back ie husband and wife for food and drinks and then were told we were making too much noise - we were on holiday!!!
A lovely, small farmhouse, with amazing views of the hills. A very friendly family atmosphere, in a charming and peaceful location. The breakfast was freshly cooked with lovely produce. There weren't any. That's why I was surprised to see such a low rating previously.
Very friendly and informative staff. Easy to find.
We were visiting the nearby safari park and it was within 5 minutes drive, easily accessible, just off a main road, but quiet and relaxing nonetheless.
everything and would like to say many thanks to jon and family for an excellent weekend from steve denise tony lesley nothing
Nice staff, nice view...very quite!
First of all it was not a hotel, it was a B&B, and a poor one at that.We were shown into our room, where we had to stay all evening, we where not told there was a room where we could sit.We where just getting off to sleep(on a very uncomfortable bed) when someone sheezed,it was as if they where in the room with us.The towels where like sandpaper. The room was nothing like what I seen on the booking,it was all a mismatch of furniture, and the carpet was like something my granny would have in our living room.
