Central location. Architectural charm. Friendly staff. Smallish bathroom
Lovely old building with some nicely preserved features such as the old-fashioned lift shaft. Comfortable room, friendly reception staff and good breakfast. Unfortunately the Michael Caines restaurant was closed on the Monday I stayed there but my colleague who stayed an extra day was lucky enought to be able to eat there.
Friendly staff and ease of use of facilities Room was small and noisy
quiet room, private, nice modern setting in an older building. The cafe in the hotel was excellent--food and decor.
it was a beautiful hotel, clean the room was very small
The comfort, decor and location of the hotel The restaurant is top class, but maybe a little too pricey
The room was beautifully appointed and well decorated. The bathroom was extremely well designed and furnished. An outstanding accommodation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
The Glasgow Abode is stunning, the building, large rooms, high ceilings, comfortable surroundings all combined to make this short stay very pleasurable.
Prompt check-in and check-out, efficient staff
I found the stay comfortable, safe and clean. A lovely building with a fascinating history, which added to the stay for me. Staff informative and helpful- and smiling! The take-away breakfast is a brillaint idea. thank you.
Very attractive place to stay. Clean and comfortable.
The food was very well presented and very tasty There was no mirror in the bedroom area and not quite enough light at the bathroom mirror
The venison was out of this world - fantastic! The staff were also fun and friendly - had a super time in the bar! No hair dryers was unusual, however, must be common here as there isn't one at the Holiday Inn either!
Right from the hard working lovely staff to the shower, the whole castle was lovely. The room was in keeping with the surroundings and was very please to see a clean bathroom. The evening meal was well worth the money and would certainly go back again. The floor board were a bit squeaky but that cant be helped so was aware when walking over the floor.
The location at the foot of the Ochil hills was superb and handy for Stirling city centre. They need to pipe music into the bar area to break the silence.
The bar had draught beers unlike others we have booked on the website. The breakfast choice was exellent an I was able to get wi-fi in our room (although they said I wouldn't). Although the room was a "suite" and could have been lovely, lack of genral maintenance and decoration let it down. Room also wasn't very clean. The window had no view, instead it opened on to the roof well over the Kitchens whose very noisy extractors started-up at 5.00am so no more sleep even with the (single glazed) windows closed!
staff were friendly, room was spacious, good value meals, great location and parking was easy we are not normally people who criticize but the floors were super squeaky, this became really annoying!
I used to stay here regularly on business many years ago. It is great to see that the Kirkhouse Inn has maintained it's excellent standards, indeed improved them. My wife gave me 10 out of 10 for chosing to stay here!
The hotel was very comfortable with a friendly ambience in a professional, well-organised operation.
the friendlyness of the staff and the fact that I am a coeliac and they went to the truble of geting in the special bread which was very good. Our room was obove the air system and this was noisy although when reaquested the did turn it off
Staff were very friendly the first thing I noticed about my room was the musty smell which was a bit off-putting
Impressive room for the rate.
The separate 'sitting area' with tv Nothing
very helpful and obliging staff. Excellent food. Spotlessly clean and compfortable accommodation
myself and my daughter had a very pleasant stay lovely breakfast helpful staff pleasant room would definately stay again
From the minute we arrived the staff made us feel welcome, the customer service was outstanding
staff very friendly at all times. Food good. Great central location yet quiet
Friendly staff The most important thing and the reason I stay in a Hotel is for a comfortable bed. Th bed in room 3 was the most uncomfotable bed I have slept in. Also I would like my own key when out late
We both enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. We had a great 5 day break
The rooms were excellent - large, clean and comfortable. The staff were superb - very accomodating and helpful. We will definitely be visiting Stirling again and will stay at The Terraces Hotel.
I don't like typical breakfast (beans, eggs etc...) no choices in morning menu
the location to the town centre the road leading upto the hotel, was strange to locate due to the road lay out.
All the staff were quite efficient and friendly. The room had everything I needed. Very nice breakfast and everything was when and where I needed it. Great location, too, and a charming house to stay in.
The cleanliness, the proximity to the city center and the railway station, the good breakfast.
Excellent service , food was excellent Can't think of any.
Relaxed, friendly atmosphere, good food, good location in middle of village but back from main road.
Spacious suite Considerably over priced for both room and restaurant in comparison with most other hotels stayed in.
Clean and comfortable room, excellent food served well.
location, peace and quiet, good food.
Clean, good bed, goodfood & helpful staff Heat in bathroom uncontrollable. (Towel rail)
Staff were friendly and accommodating, meals were of good quality Our room and bathroom were both very small and in need of refurbishment
Close proximity to Duntreath Castle.Which we used for a family gathering. The manager would be more suited to running an undertakers. No greetings not sociable and no farewells.
Customer service from both staff and management.
We were only a 1 night stop over. What we saw was ok
