Pros: My husband and I booked a weekend here for our first anniversary. Anthony and Danielle were amazing hosts and created a phenomenal experience. The view from the room was superb and the common spaces were tastefully put together with both an artistic and homey feel. The breakfast was beyond what you could have hoped for! Most importantly, you could tell that they love their jobs. Hosting guests isn’t just a paycheck, it’s a way of life. We loved every moment of our stay and are hoping to return!

Cons: Nothing really. If someone was really picky they might say some of the decor was not modern but I like that. Homely.

Pros: This hotel was amazing!!! The room was bigger than I expected and clean, had a patio off the French doors (upstairs rooms had a balcony). The entire hotel was in full bloom with flowers. The hotel had a winery and tasting room with amazing wines, also at unbelievably low/reasonable prices! Stock your wine cellar here! Breakfast was delicious and satisfying.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel looked beautiful with the balcony window box flower display. We were greeted very warmly by our hostess who immediately invited us to a wine tasting of the family produced wines which was a very generous treat. Our room was very tastefully decorated and had a clean, modern en-suite bathroom. The breakfast was plentiful with a choice of savoury and sweet locally produced foods. Our hosts booked us into a local restaurant for our evening meal which was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed this stay.

Les Appartements D'alicia Obernai - Obernai - Bedroom

Overview Reviews
A stay at Les Appartements d'Alicia Obernai places you in the heart of Obernai, steps from Market Square and Obernai Tourism Office. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and luggage storage.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, comfortable apartment, helpful hosts. Amazing view of Obernai.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, ideally located on the market place with a private terrace accessible through a large window of the main room. Only thing to note, 2 stairs to climb to reach the apartment and an access to the terrace which requires some flexibility. Thank you for the warm welcome.
Cons: Nothing, but be aware that Obernai downtown is not easy to drive and park. But if you can walk 3 minutes, no problem at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the most beautiful apartments I ever stayed!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Nothing...maybe the staircase for the 3d floor..
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The flat was really cute, exactly as in the pictures, with no bad surprises
Cons: 1.No elevator, which for us was complicated, having a baby with pram. So if you really need the lift maybe this is not the best choice. 2. No dishwasher. It wasn’t very nice to wash dishes while on holidays, when you do not do it even at home. There was a washing machine though, but not needed for us. Maybe other travellers would appreciate it. 3. The bed was a little noisy. We slept in the same room with our baby first night but then we moved to living room as he has a very light sleep, and we were scared to wake him up. 4. The flat was really clean when we came, but there was no further cleaning service during our stay. I think they can provide it to you for an extra payment as I saw a note on the door, but it was in French and I could not understand it very well. We were trying to get some recommendations from the owner beside of what we saw online but we did not get much. However there was a book in the flat with some flyers which can be helpful. I think in general this flat is not very suitable if you have a small baby, otherwise it is fine.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant location, all day free car parking was within 500m of the stay.
Cons: External front door was hard to lock
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location: it was in the center of the village square of a charming, old French town. Comfort: two comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, beautiful bathroom. Also, Orianne, our host, was very friendly and helpful. We arrived during a local wine festival so we were treated to many festivities.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was right on the center square of town.
Cons: Had to pay to park but only from 9am to 7pm
5.4 Okay
Pros: The town is great.
Cons: The noise from the bar made it impossible to sleep. Also the bed was not very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wi-Fi not behaving nice at moments, but it was not so important in the end...
Cons: Super nice position, looking at town square, as in fairy tale. Very clean, quiet and equipped with everything you might need. Highly recommended! Fantastic stay!

Pros: very clean , great wifi signal , easy to find and free parking. Romantic B&B to spend a night in
Cons: The breakfast used to be better and richer in the past. The staff wasn't happy with our flight delay. The just clearly said that we are not welcomed after 10 pm cause it's not a hotel (as it was mentioned , the flight was delayed). The heating is central and not always work , it was too cold in the room

Pros: The whole entire place was really clean and decorated with taste. There are also parking places which is very handy (also, safe as the parking was behind the gates). Anne was extremely friendly, always making sure we got everything. Our apartment was for five people therefore, very open, big and comfortable. There was an extra toilet upstairs. The wifi worked with ease. It is only a 14 minute drive to strasbourg from this place. Also, near by there are many interesting little towns to visit and there are many supermarkets.
Cons: There is nothing that I didn't like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host is very kind and friendly. The accommodation is comfortable and better than in the pictures. We felt very comfortable and relaxed. Breakfast delighted us. If we have the opportunity again we will come again.

Pros: Our stay was great, the staff and owners were terrific, the rooms were excellent and so was breakfast. The facilities overall were exceptional.
Cons: Everything was very good
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Christiane was extremely helpful and friendly
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our room was clean and comfortable. Some of the breakfast items, such as the applesauce, were prepared from produce raised on the farm. The restaurant across the street had excellent food for dinner. A common room offered a place for snacks and games for families and groups.
Cons: The drive into Strasbourg is more challenging than I expected and our point in staying here was to visit Strasbourg. Some of the roads are very narrow and I would recommend arriving in daylight until you are familiar with the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We travelled through Alsace for 3 weeks and this was our favorite! The hostess and host were amazing and they spoke English well. The breakfast was delicious and the pool was so refreshing. It was a short, easy trip to Strasbourg and we loved being on a farm. Good restaurants were in walking distance. Truly loved it.
5 Terres Hôtel & Spa - Mgallery - Barr - Bedroom
7
9.2 Excellent (2,464 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located at the heart of the vineyards of Alsace on the famous Wine Route, the 5 Terres Hôtel & Spa MGallery by Sofitel hotel has brought the 17th-century building back to life by blending old-fashioned charm and techniques with modern and contemporary com fort and elegance. Take a moment to relax in one our 27 carefully decorated rooms and discover famous regional wines in our Wine Bar or as you relax in our Spa.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The spa area was free for guests. The pool and sauna were AMAZING! Beautiful, unique, spotlessly clean. Towels and fresh water available. We had just been to a hotel that nickeled and dimed us to death. $ for the spa, $ for the in-room coffee, robes, towels...after that experience, 5 Terres was a delight. Also, the breakfast at 5 Terres was truly the best I have ever experienced at a hotel. 7 types of bread and pastries, 6 different meats, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, fresh fruit cups, yogurt, dried fruit, fresh squeezed juice, 6 different fabulous cheeses, tomatoes, all the coffee you wanted...it was top notch in every way. I paid 30 euros for a pitiful breakfast at another hotel just a few days before. They gave us 1/2 slice of ham, 1 piece of cheese, 1 bread and 1 coffee. And it was NOT given with a smile. At 5 Terres all of the employees were super friendly and always had a smile. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Cons: We wanted to sit out on the terrace and have a bottle of our own wine but were told it would be a 30 euro corking fee. Otherwise we could enjoy the wine in our room. Our room was not the ambiance I was looking for on a lovely May evening in Alsace.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great facilities and really nice breakfast. Professional staff. Parking.
Cons: A bit expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room with a precious terrace and a very big bathroom Staff was super friendly and really welcoming, they gave us many suggestions regarding restaurants, activities and places to visit The SPA is not that big but it is Great for some relax Parking free and easy to reach
Cons: We would only have changed the lighting of the bathroom: it is automatic, and it means kind of a waste of energy during the day and far too strong during the night. All the rest was perfect and above expectations though
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel and spa (industrial chic), extra comfy room/ bed, very polite, attentive and helpful staff.
Cons: The restaurant is closed on Saturday (lunch time) and Sunday (all day).
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel right in the heart of picturesque Barr - 5 minutes walk from the vineyard covered hills surrounding the village. The lobby, restaurant and bar were all very stylish, as was the room (which was a bit small, given the price range of the hotel). Don't miss the tiny but wonderful spa in the basement, would definitely recommend!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super quiet, lovely town with fewer tourists and lots of locals. The hotel staff were incredible. Maybe my favorite stay ever!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool was awesome, breakfast was fantastic, staff was incredible, building was impressively reimagined as hotel. Highly recommend!
Cons: No mirror over the sink in our room but that is a minor nit (they were preserving the historical structure and mounted it on side next to sink)..
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I loved the comfortable seating and space in the public area for drinks.
Cons: The spa was really okay, nothing exceptional. I also liked the shower in the room but did miss a place to soaps.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very modern. Lovely mix of old and new. Great food. Beautiful spa. Everyone was more than helpful. Very quiet.Tasteful decorations for Christmas and thoughtful Little Gifts. Location Central and in walking distance of Restaurants and shops.
Cons: It took some time to figure out the appliances. They were very modern und of Quality but an explanation how to use them would have been helpful. Even so the lightning in the room was tasteful, it was sometimes not enough to light up the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Just perfect !

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hostess and her hospitality was of someone you rarely meet and always dream about when you think of a bed and breakfast. Full of energy, friendly, warm and very welcoming. We loved our stay.
Cons: There is not really something we did not like. If there is anything we would have loved is to have had the dinner at our location but it was February and very low season.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This a typicall Alsatian refurbished house. All the materials and techniques used for the restoration are original and all the forniture is typical of this area. The host is great and, if you ask, is available tu give you every information you need on the house and on the surroundings as well. Great stay!
Cons: Everything was great. Nothing to say here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host Katrine was so friendly and hospitable. It snowed so it was cozy AND the grounds were beautiful.
Cons: Steep staircase up to room but manageable. What do you expect in a place built in the 1600’’s?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location in a quiet village. Comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent with everything you could possibly want.
Cons: Parking. Based on the description I had expected to park 'on-site', not by the roadside, so having to park on the roadside, albeit in a very very quiet location was a negative for me. The WiFi wasn't working either, which was unfortunate. These things considered I felt it was a little expensive and not good value.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room! Beautiful combination of new facilities and classic housing and furniture.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming place and the best hostess you could imagine. Interesting and exciting buildning with lots of historical objects to explore. Despite the house dating back 400 years all the facilities were modern, clean and comfortable. Nice to be able to cool off in the pool. Good breakfast. Comfy beds. No disturbance, very quiet and calm. Catherine will take the best care of you, she was so kind and helpful. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay which we ended up extending by one night.
Cons: It is a bit hard to get to by train and bus BUT if you travel by car it is perfect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great host, nice romantic place on a good location. Really enjoyed our stay. It was great we could use the bikes two nights for free!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and breakfast was delicious. Christelle was very friendly and had excellent suggestions for us to enjoy our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was very convenient for visiting Strasbourg and the Alsace wine route. The area of the house was tranquil. The room was very spacious and clean, with a large and comfortable bed. The bathroom had a nice large shower. Breakfast was good and the hostess, Christelle, was very helpful with tourism advice and maps. We would certainly stay there again and also recommend it to our friends.
Cons: There was no body wash or shampoo for the shower, so I had to use the pump pack hand soap from the basin.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Chez Christelle was lovely. It was a beautiful house situated in a quiet street about 25 minutes drive from Strasbourg and ideal for exploring the fairytale towns of Alsace. Our rooms were perfect, beds comfy and showers easy to work. Our breakfast was delicious and our hostess, Christelle was delightful. My family of six were all so happy that we had chosen to stay at Chez Christelle and only wished that our time there could have been longer.
Cons: There wasn't anything that we didn't like about Chez Christelle.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good breakfast with fresh eggs from the owner, bread and yogurt.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very delicious breakfast. The Lady is very polite and helpful.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice and large rooms. Quiet neighbourhood.
Cons: The check-in and welcome was very short and factual, not warm at all.
7.5 Good
Pros: The property is typically Alsacien and very well decorated inside. We had a junior sweet, which was lovely inside. Separate toilet and bathroom with a shower. Christelle very good at suggesting where to visit and very helpful with directions/where to park, etc.
Cons: With the stone floors/laminate flooring (which I think is easy to clean and look after), you could hear the other guests coming and going. Breakfast is from 8.30am until 10am, which I felt was quite late. An 8am to 9.30am start might be more suitable to most guests. Also, Christelle needs to ensure that all breakfast food is ready for the guests before 8.30am. Each morning we had to ask for milk or butter.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The host was wonderful and very friendly. The room was very clean and there was plenty of room for two adults and two children. The breakfast was delicious. Our host made us feel very welcome. She also chatted with us during breakfast and gave us tips on our travels.
Cons: Nothing. Wonderful stay.

Cons: Nothing!
8.3 Excellent

Pros: Great room in a century old historic building which was beautifully renovated by the owner. Great warm host prepared awesome breakfasts and gave lots of recommendations for locations in the area. Downtown Strasbourg either 15 min by car, or 30 min by nearby tram.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had a perfect stay! Very good breakfast!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was beautifully furnished & decorated, the bathroom large & modern. The owners very welcoming & we had a glass of wine in the courtyard on our arrival.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner Laurence made our stay really special, she went over & beyond with kindness & service. Very clean, fresh sheets, fresh smelling towels!! Owner & daughter both spoke some English which was fantastic! Fresh baked goods daily for breakfast, if you prefer croissants in place of stick bread that can need only to ask, here they aim to please!! Offered to drive us to the hairdresser (tho we walked, wasn't far) & made the apt. for us to get our hair done. We came to stay 6 days in an affordable place & ended up making special new friends. Weren't planning on returning before we stayed here but will be back for sure!!
Cons: Some plants or flowers in the outside seating area.. would make it so much cozier out there :) Bathroom door needs trimmed in downstairs bath as it scrapes the floor when you open or close it. Otherwise.. No complaints!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: First of all, the owner, this really nice lady herself, who’s heartwarming, funny, open-minded, talkative(but not annoying at all) and very tentative, already made the stay special. We enjoyed our small talks with her at breakfasts, feeling like spending time with a new friend, like staying at home. She always checked with us when we’d like to have breakfast on the next morning and then showed up there every morning, making sure we had everything we needed. There’s a decent choice of breakfast for a small guesthouse, different kinds of cheese, marmalades and breads (sweet and salty). You can pull your hot tee/coffee or grab a cold drink from the fridge anytime you like, like at home:) Oh and we got fresh towels everyday, thanks to the lovely lady. The house speaks for itself, authentic, romantic, well balanced rustic charm and mordern living comfort, with many tasteful decorative details. The location is not only perfect for visiting Strasbourg (20 mins by tram, the station 5 mins walk from the house, the ticket is quite cheap), but also if you wanna take a ride on the famous “Wine Street” and visit those lovely wine villages, just ask the hostess, she’d be happy to offer you insider tips.:) You have everything you need in walking distance here. Last but not the least, you can park your car safely for free in the yard, which normally costs 10 euros or even more per day in the city! All in all, we enjoyed our stay so much here and wanna thank you again for your hospitality and the heartwarming “surprise” for us in the end(it was delicious :)) Schöne Grüße aus Düsseldorf

5.0 Okay
Pros: We loved this hotel, only 6 beautiful rooms, very comfortable bed & pillows, very clean, lovely bathroom, excellent location, good parking facilities, great staff. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: They let us stayed in Hotel Le Colombier since this Le Pavillon 7 is annex of that hotel. Breakfast, fantastic. Services, fantastic. The room rate, fantastic. And staffs, fantastic. First of all, location is very nice. In the city center of Obernai, but just one street back of main square so even in the night it is not noisy. Staffs were all friendly and hostage. We had problem with air conditioner, and it was not fixed in first night. But they changed our room with upgraded room. Also even before we stayed, they had good suggestions to us. Everything was perfect. This is the hotel service we prefer.
Cons: Fortunately, we could stay in two rooms. First room was nice room but had a problem with air conditioner. In the bath room they had bath tub and toilet was different. Second room, we had been upgraded the room. But shower room was honestly down graded... no bath tub, shower room not blocked. It was really clean, and we had no problem to use. But only it was the thing we missed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, size of room and it was clean
Cons: No proper shower and a bit cold even with heating on.
7.9 Good
Pros: Perfect place. Renovated and clean. Wonderful breakfast.
Cons: No internet in the room. Heating was also not working and we all got ill … No real door for the WC … it was as a part of the room. Too expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Right in the centre of Obernai Pavillon 7 is a great place to stay. Comfortable and air conditioned our attic room, though not large, had a big bathroom from which we could see the church spire, the bedroom windows looked out to the brick wall next door. Although not a problem for us the room is accessed by two flights of spiral staircase. Our bicycles were secured in the garage of the hotel across the road where we checked in and breakfast is served.
6.7 Good
Cons: the noise and the strong smell in the room

7.1 Good
Cons: Sad and cold welcome by the hotel receptionist! The room had less square meters than set at the hotel website (Executive room). The hotel tried to sell us a bigger room, but we did not accept.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was absolutely amazing and staff was really nice... The quality of the rooms may vary according to budget. We booked two rooms because we were travelling with our children, which made the stay a little bit expensive...
Cons: The furniture in the rooms looks a little bit old... but at the same time comfort is guaranteed so at the end we enjoyed our stay. The swimming pools areas are very quiet so it's hard to relax a while with kids.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This a great modern hotel with fancy rooms, restaurant, pool, and spa. We loved our night there, just too short period.
Cons: It's not for a quick stop during driving. Due to traffic we arrived late, and the pool was already closed. Considering the high price we would expect 24h pool, or at least till night not closing at 8PM. We booked it just because of the pool and spa. Only the "fancy" expensive restaurant was open, therefore even more money on the bill. We would have preferred to eat in the "basic" restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfiest bed we’ve ever slept on. Friendly staff. Fairytale building. Lovely town. Indoor pool better than the best spa in the UK.
Cons: There were some building works going on and as next to outdoor pool didn’t use it, but it was too cold to swim outside anyway, so swam in the indoor pool which was AMAZING!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the outdoor area and outdoor pool. One of the staff members poolside even came round offering slices of water melon to everyone around the pool. Reception staff were very helpful. Carpark
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: When we arrived after a very long drive, we were told the hotel restaurant was closed on Monday evenings so we had to walk up to 15 minutes into town to find somewhere to eat. Not easy as all the good restaurants were very busy and we were just lucky. No information given at time of booking as to the restaurant bring closed. Very disappointing.
Cons: Information must be given at time of booking about restaurant closures.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, tradition style accommodation Helpful staff. Superb breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in town; excellent service throughout
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice location, at walking distance from the village. Nice swimming pools, nice dinner. Nice room and very clean.
Cons: We did not take breakfast, I think the price is a bit exaggerated. The receptionist who welcomed us was very helpful and kind, also with the luggage, but the one who was there when we came to pick up our luggage after having lunch in town did not bother to help us and left us carrying the luggage ourselves. She was not very kind, nor very polite. Did not really fit in the nice hotel. She made us feel that we were a nuisance to her.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing selection of food for breakfast. Very accommodating staff that were very helpful even though our French is very poor. Everything was very accessible. The outdoor pool was beautiful. Our family room was very spacious and good value for money. The evening meal was delicious. We only stopped for one evening en-route from Italy but it felt like a very good rest and refresh in such a short time. We plan to come back. The only negative is that in the evening there is only the A La Carte restaurant and as a family with two children more food options would be much appreciated. There is a new spa building going up so perhaps this may give more eating variety in the evening.
Cons: See above.
