Pros: It was a very pretty and nice b&b! They even had a small jacuzzi and lounge area in the garden. The b&b had their own hen, who gave us eggs for amazing omelette for breakfast. Tasty and beautifully done breakfast with good coffee, honemade bread and cake and delicious local cheese. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: No A/C in the room which makes it hot during the period of our stay in july. But it is an old house with thick walls that helps to prevent the heat to come inside. They also had a fan and mosquito net, so it was not really a problem anyway!
Pros: Lovely family feel. We came in the late autumn so it was chilly outside and they had lit a roaring cozy fire. There is an adorably friendly dog. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the showers are hot. The breakfast is locally sourced or homemade produce... all absolutely delicious. The owners are delightful and make their guests feel at home straight away.
Cons: I wish there was a sign at the entrance. We weren’t sure if we had arrived or were on someone’s private property!
Pros: Amazing hospitality and lovely home made breakfast!
8.9 Excellent (364 reviews)
See hotel page Alberto Argonauta welcomes guests to Canelli surrounding by the Piedmont vineyards in Italy. His 3-star hotel, I Tre Poggi, The Originals Relais, is a former farm dating from the eighteenth century which overlooks the beautiful countryside of the Langhe region to the south-east of Turin. With just 14 bedrooms and suites, it is the ideal place to relax, recharge and enjoy the flavours of the region. The hotel has a wellness area, pool and restaurant.
Pros: The place The view
Cons: The room was very dark but it was the cheapest one.
Pros: Very nice location, close Canelli, but you need car because is on the hills. The area is full of wineries and fantastic food. The restaurant of Tre Poggi is aslo excellent. The staff is very kind - special Paula on reception desk.
Cons: WIFi can be better, because also mobile signal is poor. But you can enjoy location without work... :-)
Pros: Location is great. Minutes away from Canelli and still well isolated, with fantastic views on surrounding hills. Relaxing effect is immediate. Modern facilities, still well integrated with the landscape and harmonious. Polite and helpful staff.
Cons: Breakfast was below our expectations. No fantasy, the kind of standard calories pack to keep you going for the day you would expect to get in a 2 or 3 star hotel for one night stay business travelers. With the gastronomic wealth of Monferrato, it shouldn't be difficult offering some local products for a better experience. Cypress trees along the driveway would be perfect in a Tuscan property, but out of place in Piedmont.
Pros: The views were phenomenal and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely return.
Cons: Maintenance in our room could have been better as there were several light bulbs burnt out. Also, the spa was very nice but needed a little attention.
Cons: The food in the restaurant could be simpler -in a good way
Pros: Very nice staff and service.
Cons: Breakfast was far from ready at 8 AM on the day of our departure. The kitchen ran out of müsli and other food, and the ice cube machine broke down. No air-con.
Pros: The suite we had (Torre) is simply fantastic
Cons: With very few details excellence is at reach

Pros: Staff was exceptionable in making us feel welcome. Travelling with two small children was no issue - they were catered for in every way from special meals to high fives with all members of staff. We would recommend this hotel any time!
Pros: Comfortable hotel at a picturesque location. Great restaurant with wonderful local wines
Cons: Car needs to be parked in the town square nearby, no dedicated parking available
Pros: Everything was superbe!!! The owners were very friendly and caring and the hotel was nicely decorated (Italian touch!!) Good breakfast with Cappuccino (home made cakes were delicious) SPA was absolutely A plus indeed!!!
Pros: The room we got was huge !! The had a great night sleep there and really comfortable. The breakfast was as expected, no frills and all the basics where there. She asked upon checking in if we wanted eggs or so the next day for breakfast then she would make them especially for us. We had dinner in their restaurant as well La Teca, really amazing truffle pasta. The couple the owns it is truly passionate about their hotel and restaurant and you can really see and feel that ! They know a lot about the local surroundings well. It was an amazing experience for us and we would definitely go back there !
Pros: The bed was excellent and very comfy in a spacious room.
Cons: We thought that there should have been a hot course option for breakfast
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming concierge
Located in Montabone, Agriturismo Al Castle is within a 15-minute drive of Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica Acqui Termi Golf and Casa Bertalero. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We could not fault our stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. The check in and out was slick and easy. Great value for money. Rooms were clean and well presented. The views were beyond fantastic!! A fabulous hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it
Cons: cost intransparency especially for food we have consumed. This led to an overall bill that felt too high. Make sure that people u derstand what they consume. Offer tappas kind of things..
Pros: View from restaurant
Cons: Breakfast was disappointing, tea was cold among other things. Bed uncomfortable, shower went cold after 2 minutes. No dinner service on one night without any warning, private function given preference over guests. We stayed here two years ago and it was perfect then but not now. Lots more wrong but it’s not my job to point everything else out.
Pros: Everything was very good.
Pros: People food area
Cons: All just very good
Pros: Fantastic location on a hill with killing views, super restaurant and very nice and spacious rooms, marvellous place!
Cons: Nothing. The road leading to the hotel is somewhat challenging, but that only adds to the charm in our view.
Pros: Very friendly hosts, comfortable room, panoramatic view. Fantastic cuisine. Thank you very much for the amazing experience
When you stay at Agriturist Rupestr in Canelli, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Forteto della Luja and Gancia. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The welcoming personality of the owner, who seemed genuinely keen to do his very best for his guests, and the delicious food he cooked (at a very fair price) made up for the shortcomings of the accommodation. Having got rather lost in the nightmare network of roads around Bergamo/Milan we arrived very late for dinner, but were met with a smile and the same menu of five - luckily quite small - courses that the other four or five tables were having without a word of complaint for our tardiness. The road snaking up into the hills above Canelli was not easy to find, but the position was great and the views were wonderful. The layout was a bit tatty around the edges, but the pool was well placed and very welcome after a day's sightseeing in the beautiful countryside.
Cons: If you want to experience the world's smallest en-suite shower room this is your chance, squashed into the corner of what wasn't a very large bedroom to start with. There was nowhere to put anything - no hooks and only a small shelf - the basin plug leaked so you had to keep the hot water tap running the whole time, and the mastic holding one of the sliding glass shower doors in place gave up the struggle at the first attempt. The bedroom was full of heavy and dark old repro furniture, the same sludge-green curtains and bedspread as in all the other bedrooms, and some pretty anaemic lighting. Altogether a rather depressing experience. Finally, the breakfast was pretty dire even by Italian standards. The coffee was all right and there was cheese and ham for the North Europeans, but there were no cereals of any kind, a tiny slice of some sort of sweet tart accompanied by a small meringue (I kid you not) and some small slices of bread (stale on the first morning) with packets of butter and jams.
Pros: The family was warm and friendly. Food and wine were provided in a delicious, locally sourced gastronomical delight. We cried a bit when we had to leave.
Pros: Good location and beautiful environment
Cons: We were a litre bit disappointed with the food, it didn’t really match our expectations of food from Piemonte. One of us is a vegetarian and they constantly forgot about that and didn’t make an effort to make vegetarian alternatives. We also missed some kind of relax area outside (not the pool).
Pros: Excellent hosts, great food and wine. Lovely location in the middle of the vineyards.
Cons: All was great
Pros: Great place, great facilities, great dinner, great owner, thank you for all Georgio Best Peter and Sascha
Pros: Everything! The view is just magnificent, the pool refreshing and the food delicious. And the room was also large with a comfy bed. Would definitely recommend everyone to have dinner at the property!

Pros: A wonderful place up Canelli with a fantastic host! The warm welcome , the beautiful room, the lovely atmosphere in the house and the yummy homemade food made us feel like home and not wanting to leave. Thank you Gilberto for this great weekend, our dog and we enjoyed every second!

Pros: Very nice room, very good bathroom, very friendly and helpful staf, delicious breakfast. Hotel is very central for exploring Piemonte.
Pros: Patrizia and her staff were amazing. We arrived tired and they offered a caprese salad, melon and prosciutto and bottle of wine on the lovely terrace. Breakfast was delicious, architecture and design impeccable. Could not be more impressed.
Cons: No comfortable chairs in the room for 2 people and No bathrobes. Minor details but sometimes you just want to lounge in your room and it wasn’t conducive to such.
Pros: Patricia and Paula are both welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Pros: What can I say. This is an absolutely stunning hotel in a renovated Monastery. Simply amazing quality of fittings through out the hotel. Everything has been completed to the highest standards. The owner herself was lovely and could not be more helpful to us on arrival. The hotel is located at the top of a hill so driving to it can be a little challenging, but the views are worth it.
Cons: The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are many a short walk away so not really a big issue.
Pros: Beautiful place in a mixture of modern and old, magnificent view over the village
