7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast is one of the best I've known: good variety and awesome quality. Congratulations! Views are very nice, and premises are actually luxurious. First time ever I find a pool table (and a huge one!) in a hotel. Location is good: very quiet, yet only a 5-mins drive to Moncao.
Cons: Wi-fi was veeeery poor (at least in my room), which is a shame for a place this category. Room rather small, without even a small desk; badly sound-insulated and -worst of all- without blinds in the windows. If (like me) you're a light-allergic for sleeping, you won't have a good rest in this place.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A lovely Quinta to stay at with beautiful surroundings and views. Although a family Quinta there is so much space/seating areas there is no feeling of being overcrowded. Owner can’t do enough and perfect surroundings for sitting with a chilled glass of wine or a swim in the pool

8.8 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was copious and fabulous. Glass of wine given by lady (owner?) at end of our evening. Would not take payment for wine. Very sweet people. Huge comfortable single beds. Lovely old house with antiques everywhere, situated on it's own vineyard.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious and comfortable master suite (suite principal). There is a pellet salamander. Breakfast is good. The staff is friendly. Very family atmosphere.
Cons: I would like a wood-burning fireplace. And better organization of breakfast when there are large groups.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: My husband lost his wallet at the gasoline station and a Spanish man found it and called Sophia at the inn . She contacted us with his number based on the receipt from the inn in the wallet. She saved our vacation (avoiding the loss of credit cards and passports)!we will be forever grateful plus they were bottling their wine and we were privileged to see the process as well as enjoy the beautiful quiet grounds. There was no traffic and the breakfast made us feel pampered. All 4 in our group enjoyed the quiet reflective evening.
Cons: There is no comment- we were very happy there in the comfortable beds with perfectly soft sheets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were located in a very traditional Portuguese building, but at the same time were very comfortable. We were welcomed by a very friendly staff, and were spontaneously offered a perfect glass of wine.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice Location and very attentive and pleasant staff that prepared an excellent full breakfast despite the very early time.
Cons: Nothing to note
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The breakfast was not very good
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house, very clean and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and well maintained old hotel with lovely gardens. Hosts were so friendly and hospitable. Loved their breakfast, with lots of fresh fruit and a variety of fresh Portuguese bread as well as bacon and egg.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is not a hotel it's a small palace. Large rooms beautifully furnished. Antique, or "time" pieces through out, beautiful gardens with tables and benches ideal for a snack or glass(s) of wine. Far from noise. It's an experience in itself. Try their wine, excellent and made just a few feet away
Cons: Not a negative. You could make better use of the great grounds
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The house and surroundings
Cons: Internet was lousy

5.5 Okay
Pros: Cleaness
Cons: Only one person for every tasks Poor breakfeast
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was brilliant. Room was fine and bed very comfortable. Spotlessly clean place.
Cons: The midnight curfew. Surely the owners should provide guests with a front door key, not tell them we go to bed at midnight and after then there will be no-one to let you in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and quietness was amazing. Great breakfast. Very good place. I will come back soon is possible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful
Cons: Unfortunately the street pavements outside were having their annual power hose cleaning. Very noisy but that was no fault of the guest house.
Convento dos Capuchos - Monção - Bedroom

5.8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good.
Cons: Unfortunately not worth the visit. The garden is nice and the building was elegantly renovated but the whole place is poorly managed. Avoid during winter as it's very cold and the rooms are not properly isolated. It took a couple of hours to warm up our room. The bathroom doesn't have any heating or extraction fan. Also avoid paying more for the suites as the extra space serves no purpose and the view is to the back of the building. Staff needs proper hospitality training. The first person at the reception wasn't fit for the role of welcoming guests. Be aware, the spa requires extra fees.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Very good breakfast. We loved the city
Cons: We kept getting locked out when we got back late due to the festival. The first night the gate was open but the door to our building was locked. Took us about 45 minutes to get someone to open the door. No card reader on this door. It was very frustrating as it was 3:00 us the morning and we were all very tired. The next time the gate was locked. We could get in through a small door with our card but Ed didn’t have a card and he didn’t come back until later. I had to wait to make sure he got in. After this we made sure we had 2 cards.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great pool in a wonderful garden! Very friendly staff, who took great care of our bikes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic historical building very well managed and with all the comfort
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, well estimated and sparkling clean. Nice staff, quite atmosphere and a nice garden to explore. Direct way and short walk to the city.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent as expected as this was our second stay. The staff were excellent although the level of English was a little low however they did their best and communication was achieved.
Cons: We liked everything.
6.8 Good
Pros: The Breakfast
Cons: The bar area, the hotel was completely empty, thy could have given us an upgrade
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The locality, very close to the town center. The breakfast was good and plentiful.
Cons: The water was not warm enough in the shower. The hotel was very quiet because of the time of year, so it lacked the atmosphere created when other people are around.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly peaceful place , a spirit of calm prevails throughout. The swimming pool was beautiful, the staff were super nice, our room in the new wing was modern and well appointed. The Convento was a convenient walking distance to the town center, you could even avoid the roadways by walking through the gardens and terraces. Breakfast was typical and good with local products.
Cons: The shower was a bit wonky, the pressure was so great the head would not stay in the holder ( that’s good on the pressure, bad on the head) and the lovely but oversized tub should have a little skid proof mat for safety.

Pros: Great location. Free on-site parking. Nice common facilities. Helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Cons: Very weak WiFi, at least in room 107.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived soaking wet, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The grounds were lovely and tranquil. They had a secure parking area.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: beautiful house with history and Nice decoration of local elements. right season to see the full blossom of flowers in the small but lovely garden
Cons: check out was not smooth when the creditcard machine was not working but the manager was very helpful to call booking.com to get payment settled down.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building nicely placed in Monçao. Nice room.
Cons: The room for breakfast was ridiculously small, with difficulties to move around and take the food when more that 5-6 persons were there. Food choice for breakfast was also very limited. This is not in line with the type/category of the hotel and not in line with the price.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The building is old and beautiful, nicely renovated with a nice garden. The parking area is spacy. The room was spacy and very clean. The bed was good. The breakfast was excellent with sweet and salty things plus fresh juice and fruits. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, their restaurant was closed for holidays. Would like to try it next time.
Cons: The massaging shower closet was very small even for a slim medium-sized person, not to mention a plus-sized one. The ventilator of the bathroom makes noise. You hear too well the noise from neighbouring rooms, their bathroom ventilators and toilet flushes included. However, this noise problem concerns most of the southern European hotels, so choosing another hotel wouldn't solve the problem. Use your ear plugs, and the problem is solved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel provided excellent and attractive accommodation for a 3 star rating. Everywhere very clean and nicely decorated with lots of homely artwork, ornaments, sculptures and features. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Nothing to dislike, bedrooms at front of hotel might experience some road noise from the cobbled street outside.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: big comfortable room, large bathroom, good water pressure in the shower, nice garden, very good location, spacious parking, good wifi, very good coffee (nespresso machine)
Cons: Manager/receptionist didn't speak English, so check in was a little bit difficult, but nevertheless he was very kind and helpful, They didn't provided warm food at the breakfast (no eggs, omlets etc.) During the booking we requested a room with two single beds but got a room with one large bed without any explanation

4.5 Okay
Pros: The room was perfectly adequate - clean and beds comfortable but.....
Cons: The guest house is above a busy garage (which is open from 0600 to midnight) on a busy road which seems to be a race track for motorcyclists. Very noisy. Hard to get a good night sleep. The manager / owner was surly.

Cons: The carpets, the ridiculuss breakfast hours but the worst is the so call Termas that sould be close for so long or renovated. I believe that is not secure and not good at all for the health of guests.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location the most and the fact that it’s a proper hotel.
Cons: I didn’t like the noise the maids make early in the morning. They make too much noise I couldn’t rest in the morning. The maids talk on the hallway, you listen the vacuum from the other room they leave the doors open when they clean, and they make lots of noise in the morning. It was horrible

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Facilities good but plain. Lovely town
Cons: In the spa plan you get only one access to the thermal bath down the road. This was not explained at check in so when we went for a morning session in the morning before we left, there was an extra charge.

5.3 Okay
