We spent only one night because we had to drive on the next day . But we were very satisfied und we will sty again in this hotel if we are again on the same way. no
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Buffet Breakfast was excellent
Very pleasant and helpful staff. We learned a great deal about the region from informative discussions with staff. The hotel is within walking distance from our favorite restaurants in Susa, the Meana (a real treat) and Miro (for pizza). Free wi-fi in room. Highly recommended. Nothing that comes to mind.
It was just a night stop for us. We were driving from Rome to Paris. Town is very quaint and the scenery is breathtaking. Breakfast room is comfortably large. Typical rolls and coffee. Coffee was great. Beds were a bit hard. No onsite parking but had public parking just around corner.
The staff were very nice and helpfull. They recommended that we travel to France over the mountain rather than through the tunnel. It made our holiday. Breathtaking. It would normally take an hours drive but give yourself another 90 mins as you will want to stop all the time for photos. They provided me with private under cover parking at a reasonable cost. The room was clean and had en-suite facilities. The town interesting with Roman ruins had good meal in the square. The towels were bits of cloth suitable for taking your skin off and the pillows and bed uncomfortable. The breakfast was the worst selection that we have had in any of the 9 hotels travelling through Europe. The croisants were disgusting and in plastic bags and the bread just as bad. There were wonderful bakeries nearby. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone just travel a bit further before stopping, I suggest you stay in Modane in France.
Breakfast was not very good (lack of service and bread and cheese)
Proximity to town Poor air conditioning
Helpful and friendly staff. Super dinner and breakfast. Comfortable room despite not being able to control the air conditioning which was regulated by the hotel staff.
Small, friendly, off the beaten track
Very pleasant hotel, the big and spacious room, cleanliness, an order and service at very good level.
Only stayed one night but staff very friendly, room newly renovated. Walls very thin, Girl on reception in evening only spoke Italian but there was someone who spoke a little english and was very helpful.
Nice location on a quiet street, with a lovely mountain view and a picturesque church at the top of its hill. Olyx itself is a nice town to walk through and is in easy driving distance to ski slopes and a myriad of valley and mountain villages. This small hotel is nicely decorated, very clean and well maintained. Good breakfast, and the restaurant is excellent for dinner. Service was friendly and helpful. Convenient, ample, and free parking is provided half a block away. It would have been nice to have lobby computer available for guest use.
We only stayed over night on our way somewhere else - arrived very late (just before they went home for the night 23.00) and had breakfast in the morning. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms spotless. The hotel had a cosy feel to it and is newly refurbished. The girl on reception in the evening didn't speak anything but Italian, so it was a little difficult to communicate. Last possible check-in is 11pm, as the staff go home then, so make sure not tobe late.
Kindness and Elegance.
Superb service attitude of staff; very helpful at every turn; couldn't do enough for you. Lovely dining room and great food!
Friendly helpful staff. Very clean. Enclosed car park. Excellent food. Very good value for money
The room was clean and comfortable, and after several issues, the staff finally did try to be helpful. The food in the restaurant. It was of a very poor standard, hot dishes were served cold, the meat was too tough to eat.
We very much appreciated the splendid hospitality offered by the manager, Francesca Buono, who in fact did the design for the interesting renovations that were completed shortly before the Olympics in Torino. She gave us a sampling of regional specialties, as well as information on restaurants and attractions, and she even found us an excellent local mechanic for our rental car. The hotel is nestled high in the Italian Alps above Torino, a perfect location for outdoor activities all year long. We were there only for an overnight on our way from Tuscany back to France, but we would certainly enjoy staying there much longer on another occasion.
Staff was very friendly. Bus service to skipiste was very well organised. Good skipas discount via hotel Breakfast was very poor
Quite and peacefull pleasant staff
The Manager - was the rudest women I have ever come across. If you made your own arrangements outside of the Hotel and she wasn't going to make a Euro or two out of it she turned into a beast. Never in my life have I been spoken to like that from someone whom was meant to be looking after us in our stay.
Excellent service by friendly staff. Good hotel-ski pass deal. Very comfortable and clean rooms and facilities. Good food.
Exceedingly helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food.
Modern fixtures and furnishings. Well maintained. Friendly staff. Staff failed to provide breakfast on time two of the four days of our stay (breakfast room was locked and lights were off). Room a little too warm; no air circulation without opening balcony doors which allowed noise and insects into room.
The whole atmosphere, scenic and quite Hotel. Staff didn't know the code for the wi-fi
Nice family-run hotel. The hotel staff were very nice and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay.
Very clean and comfortable, however modern and bland. Chosen merely as an overnight stop, we asked for traditional cuisine, and were absolutely stunned. The restaurant on the ground floor, La Stellina, gave us the best meal we've ever had in Italy. We left it to them, and we had a gourmet tasting of seven different platters, two pastas and three different puddings. They were all brilliant, delicious, and superbly cooked.and the chef and the staff were really happy to talk to us about the local cooking, and wine (which was so good we took some bottles home) All this cost three of us £109 euros. Despite the bland exterior and characterless surroundings I would go back like a shot. Very good value. Please tell them, they deserve it.
Quiet location, ample parking Restaurant rather average, no additional pillows for bed available
Clenaliness and promptitude of staff In the morning the breakfast was poor and the waiter was just witing for us to leave
We ate there once when passing through and wanted to return for a stay.
Very convenient for a night pause on a trip from France to Italy, easy car parking, hotel restaurant is perfect, the small city is inviting for an evvening walk around.
It had a family room which meant that the kids could share with us rather than sleep alone Top bunk bed quite high for a young 7 year old. The door to a connecting room allowed sounds to trvel quite freely between the two rooms
the staff were extremely helpful and assisted us with directions (in italy and France), restaurants, roads to cycle on and even the internet. Excellent. Drew
Modern room, good sized bed and good quality linens. Well equiped, bright and clean bathroom facilities Heating only went on at 10.30 in the evening - as we went in winter, it was extremely cold during the afternoon and early evening, and the hotel would not do anything about it.
price, staff, location, value for money
The hotel staff and resturant staff could not helpful and accomodating. This is a family run hotel that is well managed. The food in the restaurant is regional foods and if you take the server addvice you will find it to be a verry good experience. There is no elevator, but the staff will take your bags to your room.
The staff were very helpful, which we appreciated as strangers to Italy. The hotel was conveniently situated for shops cafes. The town, which is set in beautiful surroundings, has histoiric buildings and an interesting park.
welcoming to bikers , helpful providing secure parking.
It was very comfortable and well presented Nothing
Quite a large hotel and very friendly and obliging. For example we asked for late check out and we were allowed to keep the room up to 6 pm. We even exceeded that and it was no problem for the hotel staff and we were happy. Huge dinner at night was very reasonable price. Lobby area cosy and relaxing. My two children loved it - so did I. Our room for 3 was not so big and the third bed (mine) was not so comfortable and some chill air was getting in at night (it was minus 15 outside though). But the bedding was good. If I could have had a room with a bath tub I would have taken it!
Very friendly staff, family run with excellent food. Transport to and from slopes. English speaking manager.
Pleasant atmosphere, excellent hotel
friendliness and helpfulness of staff; the good food; perhaps more information re day to day events.I missed the afternoon tea, so often associated with skiing holidays - perhaps a less formal eating 'cafe`' where one could get a single course and coffee, might be worth thinking about.
the staff were brilliantly helpful; they had a minibus and driver to get us to and from the slopes, and even gave us a lift to the train station in Oulx, free of charge.
