Friendly staff, upgraded to room with terrace free. Bus from Ojén to Marbella is very irregular.
Very good feeling about the hotel, primarily because of the very friendly and helpful staff and the very cozy setup of the hotel and the rooms
village setting, histric building, tastefully modernised, in character with Andalucia, polite staff Quite hard to find so suggests you should email a good(better?) map. Parking is quite cramped - not a problem but not for the faintest of hearts
It was quiet and peaceful with a true Andalucian character. This hotel is a real gem hidden away in the narrow streets of Ojen- a beautiful place to stay away from the tourist haunts of this part of southern Spain. No. We loved it.
Right in the heart of a lovely village - an ideal start to our holiday. Recommended by my brother-in-law and we would most certainly recommend it too. However no lift. 1. Very difficult to find - your website instructions totally inadequate. Signs within village sometimes concealed behind vegitation or parked vans. 2. Road to it is very narrow. Our Seat Ibiza had about four inches to spare on either side - not for large vehicles!
hotel staff the nights noise
Very nice room, great atmosphere, clean. Great value for the money. Would definetly recomend it. Wifi didn't work in our room.
A great hotel with a very charming atmosphere and very hospitable staff in a small "pueblo blanco". Thank you for two nices stays!
Staff were excellent and friendly. Good, smallish pool. High standards of hygiene. Beautiful scenery and views. Comfortable surroundings and atmosphere. Prices of food and drink were on the high side.
Great views of the mountains. Our room booking was upgraded to a suite which was very well appointed, comfortable and clean. The food was excellent. Overall very good value for money. The road to the hotel is not recommended for nervous travellers
The chef and resturant are excellent. Many of the rooms have excellent views. The rural location.
It was a real surprise. The owner and staff excellent and very helpful. The food was very good. It is isolated but a good get-away location.
Was only there one night, but long enough to appreciate the spectacular view and delicious dinner. The long road to it,but the view made up for it.
relaxing lounge area with log fires burning, no television!!
the countryside and views were fantastic,we drove 60kms offroad without seeing another person.stunning terrain but obviously need a 4x4. booked because of the hotels rep for top food as it was my fiances 40th birthday albeit the chef was on holiday to which we were completely unaware. very very limited alternate restaurants
Impressive location. Helpful staff. Good food. Smokey fire. (And unseasonal weather!)
The wievs over the mountians, the silence, the fresh air, the surrounding nature, the friendly english speaking staff I prefer breakfast earlier than 9 o'clock, lets say 8 in the morning
The beautiful location I found the receptionist a little bit rude, she didn't show us around the hotel, just directed us to our room and didn't tell us anything about the facilities on offer.
The Location of the hotel was lovely
Nice setting (up in the mountains), lots of character, great for walkers and good food Rooms could've been cleaner (a few dead flies near windows), and not ideal for those with walking difficulties and who want to be close to the beach
The location - very peaceful and quiet. Very rustic but comfortable.
Friendly staff, though their approach to the job was a little eccentric at times. Fantastic location Limited menu for anything other than a short stay, although what was provided was good
Hotel is placed in a mountain with nothing and none around, nature is beautiful as well as the hotel - comfortable rooms, shared rooms and great outdoor facilities - terrace for dining and a swimming pool in a wood. Hotel also has a great restaurant and a huge variety of wines. No :)
The location-in the middle of the mountains.Intereting road with great panoramic view. wireless internet is NOT available
In one word, "charm"! Very relaxed, quiet, mountain-themed charming hotel. Location is good, if you aim to stay in the mountains; otherwise, the aprox. 15 km to Marbella are covered through a mountain pass and, therefore, slower than usual. No problem with hot weather at these heights, within the surrounding "Sierra de las Nieves" mountain range. The access road is typical mountain pass: full of switchbacks and blind corners. Go slow and stay alert. As such, Marbella seems farther away that 15 km would suggest. The meals offered at the hotel are all game-themed (venison, etc.) and very expensive (the alternative is Ojen, but it's aprox. 8 km away).
Beautiful location in the middle of the mountains. They recommend their kitchen, but it was really poor. You'd better look for a decent meal in Marbella (15 km). They used to have gastronomy, buy we think the manangement and the cook changed lately.
peace and quiet
