Pros: Location just off the main square in the town. Having booked a room with two single beds, on check-in we were allocated a large room which had one double bed and a second put-you-up type double bed rater than the usual two adjacent beds of the same quality, We queried this and were immediately offered two double-bedded rooms with an outer door - effectively a suite. Both rooms had a bath, rather than the shower in the first room. One of the baths was awhirlpool type - so this was definitely an upgrade! Xavier - who arranged the room change - also came over to the bar in the square to assist us with ordering food and getting a quiet table.
Cons: Not the hotel's fault but because of the one-way system access to the town centre is very circuitous, starting with Calle de la Industria, which made our spirits dive!
Pros: Good choice for breakfast
Cons: Nothing really
Pros: Potential to be lovely. Breakfast was good . Bedroom were fine . Parking a few minutes away .
Cons: It’s very much off the beaten track Unfortunately we chose this hotel because of the food reviews etc. We arrived at 5pm on a Sunday to be told the restaurant was closed . The only other eateries were nearby which the hotel also owned so we had high hopes. However The recommended restaurant was extremely poor . More of a bright lit cafe with very load music blaring . Ordered grilled chicken . It arrived cold , with frozen chips and a half of tomato. My husband ordered a large burger with goats cheese etc. The burger that he ordered arrived and resembled nothing like the menu . Extremely poor food. We detoured a couple of hours from our trip to go to this hotel but it wasn’t worth it . Very disappointing.
Pros: The location and the wonderful owners and the food is delicious.
Pros: Lovely room very clean and comfortable, excellent bed and shower.. Breakfast excellent. Room very quiet.
Cons: Room had too much furniture and too small. Also the windows looked out onto another property so could not leave windows open as they could see into our room. Restaurant meal at night very expensive and was not informed that main meals do not include vegetables or potatoes so only ordered a steak with no accompaniments.
Pros: This is our second one night visit this year. The welcome is very friendly, even a personal note in our room - lovely. Restaurant closed on Monday, but directed to a restaurant in the square jus yards away.
Pros: the comfort of the room bathroom was brilliant nothing else to add
Pros: Staff very helpful, evening meal very good value for money food excellent, breakfast again was excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel and jacuzzi in your bathroom.
Cons: Was loud at 5 o'clock in the morning.
Pros: I have stayed in hotels and eaten around the world and this hotel was my "tops". The hosts and staff were excellent in every way. The food, well "magnific" is the only way to describe its form , style and taste. If every hotel was at 80% of this supreme place, all would be well! Dr R M Reid
With a stay at HOSTAL RURAL MORATIN in Pastrana, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Pastrana Palacio Ducal and Church of Our Lady of the Assumption.
Pros: A very much needed air conditioned room and a cold pool on the terrace was a joy after a 500 km motorcycle trip in 35’c temperature. Stunning village with friendly bars and restaurants There is no parking at the hotel but a car park for tourists is less than 100 metres away Photos are of the village
Pros: Helpful and kind reception staff. Cosy room, just what I needed. EXCELLENT location!
Cons: Noise insulation was not good,. I could hear the couple across the corridor having sex at 01 am...
Pros: It's comfortable, the owner is extremely helpful and friendly. There's an outdoor terrace and pool which would be great in hot weather.
Cons: The only downside is that there's no car park - but there's easy free parking close by.

Pros: We have enjoyed every single minute of our stay. It is a magical location with stunning views. I told all my friends they should visit it We will be back
Cons: That I'd need to travel thousands of km's to enjoy it
Pros: Dinner was excellent and the view was absolutely amazing!
Cons: The only issue was that a couple of the lights did not work in the room. Everything else was wonderful!
Pros: Beautiful views. Excellent dinner. Friendly staff.
Cons: Wifi not working in suite.
Pros: Location, the caves and the pool
Cons: The way to get to the property :(
Pros: Amazing views and rooms.
Cons: Very detached location so reliant on food at the hotel. Very limited selection for evening meal but ok.
Pros: We loved the location, it was very quiet and relaxing. The views were amazing especially during sunset. The swimming pool was very clean al all times and the personnel was always helpful and with a smile on their face.
Cons: The room we stayed needs to be refurbished as it was obvious that it was around 20 years old. The bed, although very comfortable, was a bit unstable. Nothing else to add.
With a stay at Palaterna in Pastrana, you'll be just steps from Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and Parish Tapestry Museum. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and luggage storage.
Pros: friendly and helpful owner
Pros: Toast with oil and honey, little sprinkle of cinnamon...... Fantastic,...... Great hotel lovely helpful people all around.... Great weekend to escape the heat in Madrid.
Pros: Hotel is nicely situated in the centre. Public (free) parking is nearby. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was ok (simpel but good).
Cons: The shower provided warm water after a long period of opening the tap. Shower could also do with some renovation F the taps (room 302). It took a very long time (20 minutes) to get the proper bill of our stay.
Pros: The village was really pretty even at the end of December.
Cons: Wifi wasn't the best, it kept coming and going.
Pros: Buffet Breakfast, just grand, and all that was needed in a day that was working up to a 30 C. midday Temp. The Americano coffee 5*.
Cons: Vile early morning sewer smell in bathroom lingered for an hour or so.
Pros: This is a lovely family ran, traditional Spanish hotel in what can only described as a beautiful location. The staff although not able to speak much if any English could not be more helpful and welcoming. Although we booked a twin room, they gave us a Double which was not ideal but I think they did so as they wanted to give us the best room they had, which had a lovely balcony overlooking the square with the fountain. At approx £50 per night for myself and my son, it was excellent value for money. The breakfast was very humble in the traditional style and again this was a lovely touch that we enjoyed. I would recommend Palertana and the village of Pastranas to anybody.
Cons: The only complaint would be that we booked a twin room but got a double bed, but even that was done with best intentions by the owners. Everything else was excellent.
With a stay at Posada de Zorita de los Canes in Zorita de los Canes, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Castle of Zorita de los Canes and Parque Arqueológico de Recópolis. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Anice quiet little town located beside the Tagus river with the castle ruins behind. Very easy to find. There was a nice restaurant down by the river.
Cons: The shade on the terrace.
Pros: Friendly staff and great breakfast.
Cons: Saturday night late arrivals between 10:30 pm and gone midnight!
Pros: the location of the hotel is stunning. We were greeted by friendly staff. very quiet time at the hotel but that did not deter us from receiving the very best of attention and care
Pros: What a scenery!!! Beautiful place to stay! Friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: Staying on a Monday night ... there is no open restaurant within miles (at this time of the year). No bar either. Be aware of this and bring something to eat and drink .... and you will have a wonderful stay!
With a stay at Hotel Mayno in Pastrana, you'll be a 4-minute walk from Pastrana Palacio Ducal and 6 minutes by foot from Church of Our Lady of the Assumption. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Planning an event in Pastrana? This hostal has facilities measuring 538 square feet (50 square meters), including conference space.
Pros: The location was ideal for a stop between North and Mediterranean Spain.
Cons: The breakfast was disappointing and the staff not as friendly as expectsd
Pros: We arrived late, but were able to find the receptionist. It was quiet and comfortable, pretty good for a two-star hotel. Parking right outside. Pastrana a very interesting little place, great church.
Cons: Breakfast a bit basic, but it was fine.
Pros: Hotel Mayno exceeded our expectations. It is a quintessentially traditional, family run small Spanish hotel located minutes from the beautiful centre of Pastrana. The hotel is spacious, clean with lots of charm. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating even though we arrived quite late. The room like the hotel generally was very clean and spacious as was the bathroom. Wifi was excellent. There is some parking right outside the hotel at no charge. Breakfast was adequate served by friendly staff with a rather unique slideshow with musical accompaniment projected onto one of the walls of the breakfast room whilst we ate! Beautiful view from our room.
Pros: The video show of the history of Pastrana during the good breakfast.
Pros: Very sleepy town Restaurants closed in the evening but thankfully found a bar serving tapas
Pros: The Receptionist gave us lots of information about the property. It was within walking distance of the town square and the old street with a few bars and restaurants. Not a lot of choice at this time of the year (September) but the cafeteria in the town square was great both during the day and in the evenings when the local people brought their children out to play. Served free tapas with every drink and a good range of snacks. It is a place well worth a visit if touring the area.
Cons: The beds made a groaning noise whenever you moved or turned over. They were not uncomfortable but we did not get a restful night's sleep
Pros: The place is full of intersting articles like a museum Very special A very comfortable place to stay
Pros: Family run comfortable and a friendly environment. Always there to help.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like
Pros: Close to the historic center of town. Parking is right in front of the hotel. Jetted tub. BIG room. Great view from the window. Very modern amenities. Staff communicates well in English. Room was ready early and the manager permitted us to occupy it for our convenience.
Cons: Could be just a little more parking. My sense is that when the season is in full swing, the traveler is left to use a public parking lot which is quite far from the hotel and in the wrong direction from the center of the town. Permission to park across the street partially on the walkway would alleviate and that may already be arranged when it becomes more congested.
With a stay at Hostal Campo Real Bed & Breakfast, you'll be centrally located in Campo Real, within a 15-minute drive of Parque Regional del Sureste and H2Ocio. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, laundry facilities, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It is a family hotel. The sun is the receptionist, mother prepares the breakfast and cleans the rooms. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We used the breakfast room and the kitchen as we were at home. There is a free carpark near the hotel.
Cons: There isn’t anything to say negative.
Pros: No parking but told it was available with no need to book.
Pros: Comfortable, helpful staff, clean and good value. The included breakfast is a nice bonus and the checkout time is sensible (midday). Recommended.
Pros: Very welcoming staff even moved his car so I could park very close Room very clean which looked as if all new flooring and bathroom it should have 4 stars and staff 5 stars Breakfast well above what others provide
Cons: I was lucky re parking otherwise parking limited but accommodation made up for that
Pros: Handy for Madrid airport. Great breakfast.
Pros: room excellent, booking in was great moved car for us to park near hote,l welcomed us to breakfast great little hotel
Pros: Comfortable bed, great shower! Good position to town centre, very quiet hotel.
Cons: Very hard for taxi to find as at end of obscure street. Not much in town - there may be 1 restaurant in town but it was closed, only a couple of other bars with limited snacks/tapas.
Pros: Basic breakfast but adequate.
Cons: Location no parking at hotel.
Pros: The hostel was what I had expected, they helped me find the place by sending me a txt it was great,I booked this place after the ibis I booked said I had put the wrong date in and it had been cancelled, she showed me on screen, but this hostel was great,in the morning I love my toast which they asked me if I wanted straight away so to me I am pleased with the place and hopefully will stop there again
Cons: For the size of the place I think they’ve got it right, only problem is parking
Situated in the small town of Estremera, Hospedería El Convento offers rooms with air conditioning and heating. River Tajo is an 8-minute drive away. The rooms features individual décor and include a flat-screen TV and wardrobe. Each has a private bathroom with a bath or a shower. The property also has a restaurant and a snack bar. Free parking is possible on site. Madrid can be reached in around 50 minutes by car.
Pros: The place was perfectly situated towards the east of Madrid. The lady managing the place was very helpful, it was in a tiny town and the local people were very friendly.
Cons: Bed was a bit hard but otherwise absolutely fine for a short stay.
Pros: Fantastic hotel in a great and convenient location
Cons: Every thing was great couldn't fault it
Pros: Very nice upgraded room. Very clean
Cons: First this hotel has only a few rooms. I arrived but there is no front desk so walked up the steps but no reception. At that point I made a reservation and from that received or made a phone call from the facility but they did not speak any english, we finally connected by text and google translate and someone was sent down who checked me in.
Pros: Excellent. I recommend this hospedaria. Cleaning is impeccable. Heating very good. And the more important is the small village atmosphere of the neighbourhood.
Pros: I try not to stay in accommodation in the centre of little Spanish towns because of the narrow streets and often difficult and tortuous access and parking problems - having to drag suitcases around the streets etc. - plus satnav often sending one round in circles (four circuits in this case). Luckily the town was, despite it being the start of fiestas, very quiet so I parked in the narrow street outside to book in and then left the car just up the road overnight. This is not an hotel. It is rooms on the first floor of a property occupied by the owner, accessed via a single street door and a steep staircase. You are signed in and payment made on arrival then given a key for the room and the front door and left to your own devices. Having said that, the room was excellent; well-designed with quality fittings.... so no complaints at all. My problem with my stay here was that I didn't manage to find anywhere to have dinner or breakfast the next morning (see my separate comments about what I didn't like.) I suggest the owner of El Convento does a little more research and provides proper advice as to what is really available in town as far as dinner and breakfast is concerned. The fact I couldn't get anything to eat or drink really spoiled the experience.
Cons: My gripe about my overnight stay is not with the owner of El Convento although I think I should have been made aware of likely problems. It is with the town itself. The recommended restaurant, a short stroll away, is, according to one of the local residents I was speaking to, rather erratic as to its opening times. I therefore thought I’d better check at the bar and they said they would be open for dinner at 8.00pm. I sauntered into the square at 8.20 to find that they’d decided not to open at all. The place was in darkness, bar and all. Someone told me there was one other restaurant on the main street so I walked there to find them sweeping up and closing. They suggested the petrol station cafe/restaurant on the main road out of town so I hiked it back to my car only to find them also closing up for the night. The waitress, having heard my story, offered me what was left of the croquetas on the bar which I hurriedly ate with a glass of tinto. I then bought a Kit Kat at the petrol station shop and drove back, extremely brassed off with the whole experience.

A shared living room features a fireplace and sofas. Guadalajara and Madrid are both around 60 km from the property. Madrid Barajas Airport can be reached within an hour’s drive away.
Pros: Location picturesque. Very tranquil. Relaxing spa pool. Originally booked as no availability in Madrid. 55 mins drive to Madrid airport.
Cons: WiFi signal No tea or coffee making facilities Couldn’t get any snacks
Pros: Very friendly staff (they are usually not there, but show up when required), fantastic view, relaxing and beautiful spa (not very large, but big enough for a few people).
Cons: The rooms could be a bit bigger and breakfast offer a bit more variety.
With a stay at Hostal Gastrobar Carmelo in Villarejo de Salvanes, you'll be 29.8 mi (47.9 km) from Parque Warner Madrid and 30.8 mi (49.6 km) from Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
Pros: The friendly service
Pros: Nice small hotel run by Spanish staff, good bar, great food in restaurant
Cons: Basic accomodation. Noisy inverter for heating. Restaurant closed Sunday evening.
Pros: Quiet, comfortable room, parked outside hostel,
Cons: Restaurant was under refurbishment, but others are close by
Pros: Clean rooms, nice bathroom and great location outside Madrid.
Pros: Clean room, friendly staff and the fridge on the landing
Cons: Stairs to the room. Temperamental door lock, rock hard bed and pillow having said that we slept well
Pros: There is a gorgeous gastrobar where dinners are served with fresh ingredients and superb dishes. We had live jazz whilst having our dinner. It was an absolute gem of a discovery.
Pros: A lovely evening meal
Cons: The fact that the small but lovely en-suite didn’t have a sliding door I found this embarrassing
Pros: This hotel is literally just off the motorway - SO easy to find, less than two minutes from the motorway, superb location. Warm welcome and taken to room even though I was early. Room was warm and comfortable with English TV, wi-fi was good too. Plenty of parking available in the street, free. restaurante / cafe / bar attached, very friendly, good prices. Highly recommended.
With a stay at El pontifical in Santos de la Humosa, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Karting Club Los Santos and Castle of Pioz. Limited parking is available onsite.
Pros: It is a really quiet place in a beautiful small city. The room was confortable and the equipment were good.
Cons: The breakfast is only possible after 9h30 which is really late in case of business trip. The restaurant was close the three evening I spent. Parking could have been easier with a remote for everyone.
Cons: Very very small room. Narrow roads and poor parking
Cons: Impossible to park in the street.
Cons: Bed not that comfortable
Cons: It was unclean and the service was very poor! Would not recommend this venue to anyone in the future
Pros: It was small but beautiful
Cons: The shower will overflow but this is due to the design itself
Pros: Breakfast was good with a cold meat and cheese selection, bread, croissants, yogurt, coffee, tea and fruit. We also had lunch but unfortunately there was no menu del dia so it was a bit pricey. Also we wanted to sit outside but apparently there were no brollies to sit under!! Good wine list.
Cons: When we arrived we had to wait a long time and hunt about until someone came to the door even although we rang the bell often. There were no hand rails on the stairs and as all facilities were down stairs this created a problem. I had to crawl up the stairs on my hands as I was unable to use my stick. The space between the wall and the shower glass was very small - a real squeeze. There was a coffee machine but nowhere to plug it in, in fact there were no obvious sockets in the bedroom at all. The table on which the coffee machine sat was only there to stop the radiator falling off the wall. During the night pieces of plaster fell off the wall onto the bed waking me up with such a scare.
Pros: The room
Cons: The breakfast was reaaally late
Pros: Nice room, easy access well explained, lots of help if needed. good facilities . Its quite different from most hotels in a nice way . Contemporary Boutique is the way i would describe it.
Cons: Not a lot ! TV could have an english news channel would be nice. Small thing but proper soap dispenser in bathroom and shower. It was a personal thing but i wish the reception hallway was lit better. This is an amazing building that has been converted sympathetically .

Chincho is 40 km away, while Madrid and Barajas Airport can be reached in an hour by car. Cuenca is 110 km away.
Pros: Very friendly staff and the location in a lovely Spanish Village
Cons: Disappointed with the view from our bedroom, the wasnt one, just a roof, we had been told there would be a view Would of liked a complimentary bottle of water in our room
Pros: Perfect distance from Santander to Alicante for a stop over.Easy to find. The beer was cold
Cons: Very Basic bed.
Pros: Friendliness and very helpful
Cons: Breakfast only started after 10am
Pros: Staff is friendly and very helpful
Cons: One of the beds of 4 was a bit uncomfortable.
With a stay at Hotel La Atalaya in Fuentiduena de Tajo, you'll be 13.8 mi (22.3 km) from Antiguo Convento de los Trinitarios and 13.9 mi (22.4 km) from Church of Santiago Apostle. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
Cons: It needed more heating
Pros: Good location for our purpose. Clean, large room
Pros: The food and proximity to transport
Cons: There should be sockets close to the bed to charge phones.
Cons: The room was very basic, the bed was uncomfortable.Opened the door to the balcony which was dirty, and the grill was full of cigarettes ends. Flies everywhere, even got into the bedroom. I would rate this more as a hostel than a hotel.
Pros: The food was very nice. Bar staff pleasant. Close to the motorway for onward travel to the south. Room very clean.
Cons: The room was very cold. The air conditioner/heater didn't work properly even though we tried various settings. There was nobody in reception to report the problem.
Pros: Very convenient for the motorway. Nice meal and very reasonable cost. I had two courses with a decent bottle of wine and good coffee for 10 euro.
Cons: Nothing much.I was very satisfied.
Cons: Everything about from the staff
Pros: Dog friendly
Cons: Unable to understand prepaid breakfast options. Could be written down even in Spanish would be a help.
Pros: The value is good. It does what you need as a standard hotel.
Cons: The host is very cold, doesn't show any interests of helping guests. My phone could not connect to the wifi. It is by the motoway petrol station so you don't expect a quiet stay.

Cons: Mattress a bit lumpy
Cons: The room was small, the bed uncomfortable, the sheets had holes, the room smelled like mold.
Pros: Clean towel every day, bed made, bins emptied etc.
Cons: At the time (February) very difficult to get a cooked evening meal. Quite rural and isolated, so probably not much demand. This is more to do with the location than the hostel though.
Pros: Everything Is PERFECT!
