With a stay at Bluebird Hill Farm B&B in Alpine, you'll be in the mountains, and 19 mi (30.5 km) from Oregon State University and 29.9 mi (48.1 km) from Matthew Knight Arena. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Quaint, country side setting with picturesque , rolling-vineyard views. It was absolutely lovely! Definitely off the beaten path; which created a quiet and relaxing stay. Hostess Sue was wonderful! Breakfast was delicious! We are coming back soon!
Pros: Neil & Sue were great and the facilities and environment were super. Their wine was amazingly good and overall the experience was outstanding.
Cons: They had lots of bees to contend with during the day
Pros: The owners were so incredibly nice...and helpful too, of course! Property was located up on a knoll with absolutely gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains, vineyards, and countryside...breathtaking!
Cons: The B & B is lovely....just a heads up...there is a shared bath for two bedrooms.
Pros: Wonderful hospitality in a home on a vineyard. For people interested in wine this was wonderful and needs to be more advertised on the booking.com site. It is a stunning site and hosts gave us wonderful information about other vineyars
Pros: Tranquil setting
Cons: shared bathroom too many knicknacks made it hard to find space for personal items
Pros: The property at Bluebird Hill is breathtaking beautiful. The vineyard and the facilities are so well kept and in pristine condition. The people are equally spectacular. Sue and her team were very welcoming and great hosts. Highly recommend for wine lovers and a romantic getaway for anyone! Thank you! We'll be back for sure!
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Pros: If I could rate our stay at a 12 I would ! Sue and Neil were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable hosts. The scenery is spectacular, Sue's breakfasts are as tasty as they are unusual and the accommodation is modern, well maintained and comfortable. But the highlight was that we were invited to take part in the picking of the grapes and the making of the 2018 vintage of Bluebird Hill Rose. This was great fun, but serious too. Neil explained the processes and what he wanted, making us part of the small team. Sue even provided lunch. Oh! and the whole range of Blue Bird Hill wines is great! For wine lovers like us, Blue Bird Hill is a really special place and so are the people who own and run it !
Cons: Be prepared. Blue Bird Hill is quite isolated, and would have been even more difficult to find without SatNav and maps. The surrounding area is beautiful and has some other vinyards you can visit, but the local town only has a pizza joint, so you will need to go further afield for restaurants or food. Driving back in the dark need full attention . But being well away from others is part of its attraction too.
Pros: Setting is beautiful -- looks out on the surrounding rolling hills and vineyards. There are a dozen nest boxes, nearly all of which were occupied by bluebirds or swallows. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. Because the other bedroom was not rented the night we stayed, we had the large bathroom to ourselves. Small refrigerator downstairs in the living room was generously stocked with water and yogurt. Sue was flexible with breakfast time, and happy to share stories about their vineyard.
Pros: Everything was amazing, Sue and Neil were awesome. The location was absolutely beautiful and the room was very comfortable with stunning views. The wines were fantastic. We could not have asked for a more relaxing experience for our anniversary weekend. We can't wait to go back!
Cons: That we couldn't stay longer!
Pros: Great setting at a working winery. Fantastic hostess and weekend custom breakfasts. There are stairs to living floor and bedroom, so mobility issues are relevant here.
Cons: I think a room fan would be advisable for nights. It tends to cool off at night here and a way to bring the cool night air in to the room would be helpful.
With a stay at Guest House Inn Junction City in Junction City, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Fiddlers Green Golf Course and Oregon Air and Space Museum. Featured amenities include a business center, multilingual staff, and a vending machine. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: There was a funky smell in the entry area.
Cons: very old and out dated. furniture very uncomfortable. paint coming off the walls. carpet has not been cleaned or replaced in years.
Pros: The room was very basic, but it felt clean.
Cons: They do not man the front desk. I never saw anyone just working thee. Even at 8 in the morning I had to ring the bell to and then wait a couple of minutes for someone to appear so that I could get the bill. Same thing checking in on Saturday at about 5PM, I would generally expect someone to be tending the desk at those times.
Pros: Very convenient, was also very accommodating on checking in a little early
Cons: A lot smaller than expected and out of date
Pros: It was clean and inexpensive. We stayed in this hotel because it was the best one in the small town we were visiting.
Pros: Avaiability. I had been in airports and planes 24 hours. Very tired. This was close by. Motel worker kindly accommodated me checking in with a smile at 12:30 AM
Cons: Hard bed. Water pipes quite noisy. Maybe it was me being over tired
Pros: Good location. Staff was nice.
Cons: It is very dated. A few small repairs that could greatly improve the appearance.
Cons: Dirty room. Mattress 40 years old. Room was damp and musty. Smelled like pets. Shower was ice cold.
Pros: We love staying there
Cons: Will return
Pros: Every thing was nice and clean the owner was very nice and helpful
With a stay at Western Motel in Junction City, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Fiddlers Green Golf Course and Oregon Air and Space Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Poor location and no pet area
Pros: The staff or owners were very courteous and attended to whatever I needed plenty of parking there is a Safeway Market right across the street which was very convenient
Pros: The room was clean, the beds comfy, the outside noise minimal. The check in process was a little difficult due to my hearing and the gentleman's accent but he tried to be clear and I tried by having another person "hear more clearly".
Cons: Please change the packaging on the soap....we had to use a sharp knife to access the soap bars and it was a little disconcerting to get in the shower and not be able to get the soap out of its package without a sharp knife. Someone with arthritic hands would be unable to open the soap without help!
Cons: not enough towels bad soap too small of beds for for people bathroom dirty
Pros: Clean room, fridge, micro, comfortable bed, good a/c and heat. Appears to have been re-modeled recently.
Cons: Lighting, room was very dark.
Pros: Clean, modern, updated. Close to my kids' home.
Cons: Gentleman that checked us in was stressed with 3 different parties checking in at the same time, also he didn't know how to program the card key. As a result, he let each patron into their room, then kind of left us dangling. Turns out he was waiting for his daughter to return to program the keys. We did get our card key within an hour of checking in, so, all in all, not too huge of a problem, just a little odd. The only other issue was the pillows were too 'fat' for us, but of course, that is a personal issue!! We would stay there again.
Pros: Family owned
Cons: Decafe coffee
Pros: No ice available. Ac didn't work well. Staff didn't communicate very well. Possible language baier. He didn't speak or understand english very well.
Cons: No ice on site, hard to communicate. Bed hadn't been cleaned under. Hair in shower.
Pros: For under $70 including taxes, my room with a single queen bed was an excellent value. It was freshly painted, recently remodeled, meticulously clean and tidy, and equip modestly but with all the basics, including refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, soap and shampoo, a heavy duty heater and air conditioner, and even a slab granite countertop for the bathroom sink. Across the street was a Safeway with a Starbucks for morning coffee and gas pumps with low priced gas.
Cons: The exterior architecture was quite modest, but it was freshly painted and well maintained.
Pros: Good coffee. Nice staff. Young man on duty when we arrived helped me with my comouter. Convenient location.
Cons: The room could have used better lighting.
Pros: Location was good for what i was doing.
Cons: Wifi was slow. Trains are very close.
The Travelodge Halsey is located in the heart of the historic Willamette Valley, Oregon. Surrounded by mountains, the view throughout the valley is tremendous. Located on a multi-purpose property you will find a charming restaurant and lounge newly built in 1998 with an 1800s theme. A store, deli and full-service fuel facility are also onsite. Once here, you will be just minutes from the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, golf courses, fishing and boating. Historic Brownsville is 4 miles east where you can visit the Brownsville Museum, the historic Moyer House and several antique shops. Take advantage of the self-guided covered bridge tour, a 35 mile loop. Electric car charging station on site. Pets welcome.
Pros: Large room with enough room for their table and chairs to sit comfortably. We like to bring our own food when we travel so the fridge and microwave were nice. However, the freezer compartment could have been defrosted of it’s ice buildup.
Cons: Could use an upgrade to the bathroom.
Pros: Free breakfast! And there is a field nearby for the dog to run and use the bathroom.
Cons: This was far away from any civilization, rooms were dirty and smelled weird.
Pros: If you are doing different sites in diff directions, this is right in the middle of every where and good value for money.
Cons: Need better wifi.
Pros: Complimentary breakfast with ur room was free and very good
Pros: Not much the toilet was broken the shower was moldy
Cons: The toilet broken moldy shower and staff kinda rude
Pros: It was clean and the fridge was very cold
Cons: The place is very old and outdated. The beds were hard and even though there were 3 pillows, they were flat and old. The room smelled strongly of moth balls which was nauseating.
Pros: The room was large. It was quite and comfortable to the point that I overslept. And I was happy to have a refrigerator in the room.
Cons: Vacuum the carpet under the beds.
Pros: Outdoor pool beside our room, the 11 year old grandkids loved it. Restaurant on site was convenient. Room was large.
Cons: Check in person was surly. Room was full of tiny ants. They crawled over me all night, very unsettling. Breakfast was by coupon in the restaurant and although of acceptable quantity and fair quality we prefer buffet style. The motel is clearly of older vintage, maybe late 60's early 70's, and it shows.
Pros: We stay there for August music concerts and it is located in a good spot for us. Like the restaurant, bar and pool.
Pros: This is a convenient place to stay for our event that we attended. The hotel is older but the upkeep is great. The hot tub is like bath water other than that it is an excellent place to stay. The free breakfast is nice in the restaurant
Pros: Location and hospitality
Pros: Love the white sheets and coffee maker also love loved the location but just a little too far although I did like the driving experience going and coming to the location
Cons: Maybe adding a little fridge to cool things
