Ease of use as a stp over point from Spain to Guernsey Nothing
The attached restaurant had a great menu.
Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Nice, quiet area. We stayed in a fully equipped, two bedroom house in Nantes in a gated complex, with a swimming pool, in an excellent location for the same money we payed for Campanile Marmande. I think Campanile Marmande is overpriced.
The fixed price menus for the evening meals were excellent value I was unable to pay using my credit card (from High Street bank). I had to use American Express.
Nice, clean room, room tidied and clean towels every day. Easy to find on the outskirts of town. Preference to be roomed at the front; a new building is being constructed at the rear so building noise from early morning.
nothing poor reception.very basic rooms
Easy to find. Car parking area. Good food. Friendly staff. Was able to make a hot drink in the room I.e tea coffee and biscuit.Would have liked more than two milks and maybe one or two extra tea bags as one of the tea bags was a herbal one out of the two. Nice clean linen and towels were supplied. Nothing much to complain about other than some noisy neighbours quite late - decided to take a bath - which seemed to go on for quite a long time. Can't fault the hotel for that.
No heating in the room.tea making facilities not good. Room door needed fixing.
convenient to our destination of Cocumond. the Restaurant at the hotel was great. the room was small for 3 I wish we had booked adjoining rooms, I would not have changed my mind in staying there.
all good, friendly staff and great value for money
Impressive building and location. The differential in price between the various grades of rooms was not justified.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the brasserie and restaurant was excellent. The room in the relais was spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated. The golf courses come right up to the hotel with no other grounds to walk or relax in. Breakfast was not good - fruit salad had been made several days and croissants, etc ran out by 9.15am.
the location is very peaceful and the views were lovely no room service
The location, facilities and setting are excellent. Dinner in the brasserie was good value with a good selection of wines. N/A
Splendid location - meals, including breakfast were good. Rooms comfortable and well appointed
The hotel was beautiful and authentic. It was in an idyllic location, surrounded by vineyards and a golf course in the middle of the country. Our room was quite large and we had an amazing meal in the Brasserie. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The location is in the countryside, so a drive to any of the towns, such as Bergerac.
Superb room, great food and beautiful scenery. None!
peace, quiet, views my partner was sick after our first meal at the hotel. obviously this was rather unpleasant.
I enjoyed the entire experience of my stay at your lovely hotel, in particular the setting of your chateau is very beautiful, the dining experience was terrific, I would be delighted to recommend this location to friends. Thank you. There was a misunderstanding re the accommodation in my case. I understood from the internet that it was possible to have three people stay in one room, that did not turn out to be the case and as a result our stay was a little more expensive than we had budgeted for.
Excellent restaurant, very good food
Friendly family hotel to which we were returning after a gap of 20 years! Could do with a face-lift....but restaurant excellent.
The swimming pool and the appearance of the dinning room Rather small rooms - cetainly no room for king bed
Great location, lovely hotel with very friendly staff Honestly, there were no bad points
Traditional French hotel, the way they used to be. Nice little town. Good restaurant. You could stay here for weeks, it would be lovely. Aircon for when it gets hot. Room 17 is small suite, with separate room for kids. Nothing, it was exactly what we wanted it to be.
This is a typically French hotel with a swimming pool in a nice garden setting. Proud owners, keen to please. Nice restaurant, with good service and food. Comfortable rooms - quiet, and not too modern.
A very pleasant stay, in a comfortable room at a realistic price. Secure car parking in the centre of Duras was a bonus
The bedrooms were to small and in need of renovation.
Great location with nice restaurant and pool. Probably as good a 2 star hotel I've ever found No one spoke english, which is surprising as its a tourist hotel. Also, whilst the staff were O.K. they were not overly polite or helpful. When we booked in and out, staff watched as my wife and I struggled with our luggage. Very surprised with that behaviour!!
no tea making facilities
the staff were very attentive
Excellent receptionist, Ther samm The smallest Double Bed ever experienced in a hotel No Restaurant for Sunday Evening Guests
Pleasant and modern Nothing apart from the restaurant was closed
Value for money. Restaurant had been closed.
Excellent meal in resturant.Nice pool as well.
The overall standard of the hotel and helpful staff Even though the hotel has a restaraunt it looks like it is closed for the foreseeable future
We use it usually as an overnight stop on our way to Spain. Cindy and the staff is very friendly and helpful if needed. no
It's location, it was peaceful - no disturbing noises late at night. It was clean, comfortable and welcoming N/A
Clean with comfortable bed & good breakfast & friendly service. Restaurant closed on Sunday night - inconvenient when we had travelled all day - and most restaurants in town were also closed on Sunday eve.
Very clean facilites It would be nice to be able to make hot drinks in your room - tea etc
The room was clean and comfortable, large bathroom with a window that you could open. For the price the the breakfast was poor. No choice of fruit, yoghurt, cake, or cheese.
As we depended on rail travel, the Hotel was well situated opposite the Railway station; however access to the town was 5 minutes, so it was situated. The Hotel owners were very attentive and helpful. The Hotel is fairly basic, but is a good base.
It was cheap and friendly, and provided a welcome break in a long car trip. It was exactly what we were looking for.
The simplicity of French accommodation. Situated conveniently near to the station if a little noisy. Menu du jour was substantial. Friendly staff who spoke English rather better than our poor French! Location on the street meant that it was noisy in the morning but that was expected.
It was great, nice and helpful/welcoming host and hostess, a clean and comfortable room, an excellent and very good value meal in the evening. This is not a luxury hotel as the price indicates, it is however pleasant and quiet.
Please write at least 15 words if you do arrive at the given check-in-times, but not at a specific time (which is not mentioned in advance) you have to wait outside of the hotel, call a french phone number and wait for about a half hour...
