A great "Chambre d'hôtes" experience thanks to a very welcoming host, a lovely decorated and peaceful room, and a delicious breakfast.
We were welcomed by the owner when we arrived and we have been offered fresh drinks. After a brief chitchat, we have been shown our room. It was absolutely lovely. Simple, rustic, with a light touch of Provencal decoration and very good bed and pillows. There's a private excellent bathroom with a shower and toilet, separated from the room. The location is a good starting point to discover the Verdon Gorges. The owners were very friendly and always available and it was so good to be in a relaxing environment. Nice breakfast too, with home made jams and honeys. It's been a pleasure and we will most probably come back.
Nothing. All good.
Wonderful location Wonderful house and Wonderful hosts. My new favourite place in France
We liked everything, far exceeded our expectations
My partner and I were amazed by this stay! There are so many good things to say. To start with, the attention and hospitality of Natalie who was always enthusiastic and ready to recommend things to do and tell us about the surroundings and local products. Second, the location! The guest house is part of a farm surrounded by lavender fields and beautiful Provence nature as long as the eye can reach. It provides complete relaxation, disconnection and wonderful quiet sleep. And still there are so many things to do, there's a magnificent pale blue lake just 10 minutes away with car, tons of wineries and small villages with great local restaurants. And finally the breakfast with fresh croissants, honey from the farm and homemade marmalades in the amazing garden.
We wanted to have a nice, relaxing, little holiday in Provence… and this is exactly what we experienced. Le Petit Fabre is so quiet, nestled on a farm amidst incredible gardens and fields, not far from the lake of Sainte Croix du Verdon. We felt centered within Provence at a superb time of year (we intentionally wanted to see the week of lavender and sunflowers blooming at the same time, and I imagine that all seasons are quite nice there). We had easy access to everything we wanted to see. Our stay at Le Petit Fabre was PERFECT in every way!! This B&B is beautifully decorated, updated and within keeping that every dreamer of Provence would imagine a French farmhouse surrounded by incredible landscapes - should be. The details for décor are LOVELY! The owners are so genuinely nice and welcoming! They also gave excellent suggestions of special areas to visit and restaurants nearby. Breakfasts were delicious, and the shaded patio was very relaxing. We wanted to bring home the precious little outdoor patio boss (a sweet petite Siamese)! Due to the solid structure of the building, even during a very hot week of the year… air conditioning is not necessary. Inside was cool and because the location is practically within a high valley surrounded by hills, the afternoons and evenings brought shaded, gentle breezes. We felt at home in the midst of beauty and tranquility.
