Very family-friendly hotel with apartments for families, playroom with pool and table tennis, swimming pool and very close to Montana village for shopping etc. Good shuttle to the ski slopes. Food in restaurant was excellent and the service from the staff was very good.
The apartment was comfortable and having a kitchen was very useful with our two young children. The staff went out of their way to help and were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to any one traveling to Crans-Montana.
The front desk staff was excllent and the rooms are spacious. The room service food was pretty good. The decor is something out of the 70's or 80's. I know it's mountain/ski type stuff, but it's pretty tired.
very kind attitude of the staff good service
The spa and the breakfast The room was sprayed with a terrible smell/ parfum too, too much
The hotel staff was very personable and friendly in my treatment. It is not a super fancy hotel but you can tell they take pride in performing their duties. The restaurant again wasn't super fancy, but it was obvious the chef cared about details and making sure the guests felt like they had a gourmet meal experience. I thought it was an excellent value for the money and the right balance for me between costs and comforts.
The staff was friendly and also the location of the hotel was fantastic The room we stayed was very old and it has to be renovated, also the bathroom is narrow a bit
Claudia, in the restaurant, was Superior. She was attentive and had a wonderful manner. The hours for the front desk are not enough and the front desk staff needs to be more attentive to the guests requests.
Very nice view Very expensive for what you got.
Hotel opened up on December 1st 2007. Completely renovated.Great views and a nice balcony, pleasant staff. Under Dutch management and staff speaks also Spanish. Very helpful. New and comfortable rooms, although small. Gant bed linnen. Nice smell. Seems like staying over at a friend's place. A great choice. Cosy. The breakfast was a little greedy. It could improve on offering a wider selection of teas (served in pot) whole rye bread, scrammbled eggs, freshly squeezed juices and whole fresh fruit (basket of oranges, kiwis, apples, bananas etc.)
The hotel is very nicely decorated and the rooms are very comfortable. The food is good and the views superb.
It was a wonderfull experience located in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Very professional service, delivered with passion to the guests.
Very friendly owner, great modern furnished room, balcony with fantastic mountain views, gastronomic restaurant and easy parking - highly recommended! no
Lovely friendly helpful staff, nice location. TV was broken - aerial had blown off the roof
The fantastic cuisine and the excellent staff. No
The view from the room was amazing and the restaurant is amazingly good.
It's right next to the bus stop "mollens" and the stuffs are nice. The view of breakfast room is beautiful. Internet is not free.
well-run small hotel with a good bistro and also a top-class restaurant, which might be a contender for a Michelin star.
It was good enough, nothing fancy, but good location in a very beautiful town
Friendly stuff, free parking, free wlan, clean room Coudn't close the window (broken), small and old room
The location was good, very close to the city center of Sion. The entire hotel smelled like old smoke (the smoking law in Switzerland is not up to EU standards) and the rooms had very outdated technology. True to the price/performance ratio throughout the entire country, this hotel was not worth the money it charged and was rather disappointing.
Cleanliness in the room was good Traffic noise at night. Unmanned reception so poor security. Mediocre breakfast and insufficient quantities. No information about hotel facilities. Booking site said swimming pool and restaurant - neither available.
the view fromt the hotel was perfect.
The hosts were wonderful and very friendly! The rooms were very clean, and the common area was really nice. The views from the chalet were amazing. Highly reccomended chalet!
Helpful and friendly staff. Quiet location.
The room was very clean. very nice staff. breakfast buffet was very nice. the view is beautiful from the room. and the place is very quiet. The bathroom could use some hooks to hang your clothes with and a curtain over the window. but this is very minor.
Everything! Surberb location, Chalet was lovely, very clean and quiet. Great views overlooking the mountains. Thank you Gary and Karen for your great hospitality- we will be back next year for another relaxing break. No the Chalet des Alpes was great!
We really enjoyed our room and the view from it. The owners were very keen to inform us about the sights and possible activities in the vicinity of the chalet.
The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and supplied with everything we needed or wanted. The chalet owners were extremely nice and helpful in planning our day activities.
Warm welcome, nice communial room, gift bottle of wine and plenty of bottled drinking water in rooms. Unusual to pay 100% up front without any possibity of cancelling in case of accident or illness.
A wonderful place! Peaceful, beautiful area, clean comfortable rooms, really nice and friendly owners. -
The owners were very helpfull and kind. The house is clean and nice, warm and comfortable. The countryside is wonderfull, very close to the mountains, lakes, forests...
Well situated, right in the centre of Sion and very near train station. Nice bathroom. Friendly staff. Very expensive for room and services offered. Nothing at all special about room: no view, no effort at decoration. "Double bed" actually divided in two by a metal bar. Insipid breakfast.
The rooms were clean comfortable and big enough. The situation of the hotel was convenient. Plenty.
On arrival the receptionist was friendly and spoke English. The room was clean. There bathroom was fitted for sufficient towels, paper, and soap for our one- night stay. The tv included two bbc channels. Great complimentary breakfast -- real coffee made in single cups. The room was not large. The shower was designed merely to vex anyone attempting to use it -- tiny and barely functional. The room was a bit too warm due to insufficient ventilation opportunities. The check-out receptionist was loathe to curtail her personal phone call to dnable us to pay and leave. We did not eat at the restaurant, as we had a rigid music schedule to follow, but Manor restaurant directly across the street was incredibly convenient. Overall, mediocre value for the money, but the other hotels in Sion are very expensive.
Staff were wonderful. The room was large, comfortable and well kept. The view was excellent. The location is right in the middle of Sion and about a five minute walk from the station. I paid 90 CHF per night, it was well worth the money.
Central location busy town too central
Staff with multiple language skills.
Good location. Small room and too small bathroom. The rate is expensive for the room. Besides, no one at the reception when I arrived at 15:00. I had to call the number written on the door to check in. The hotel staff on the phone told me my room number. He had left the key in the room.
the hotel is too noisy it is opposite a bar which is very loud until 3 pm in the morning so not a place to stay if you want to sleep. It is not cheap either and for a sleepless night you would be better off in a car!
Right in the middle of town so convenient for shops, bars and restaurants. When next in the area we'll definitely be staying here again. Good value for money compared to others in the area. Breakfast was a little on the mean side.
Good location, nice and clean room, and breakfast included.
Good location, very friendly and helpful staff, nice room, a very good and cosy bar and restaurant with delicious food. Dogs welcome.
very quite position; very good restaurant
The hotel provided free transport to and from the ski station
Nice Shalet Hotel with friendly atmosphere. Helpful staff and friendly management. Cosy lobby bar and nice chimney. Very nice food. The restaurant did not have the menu in English however the stuff was happy to assist with the translation.
Very nice staff, always there to help. Spacious and well maintained rooms with good view. Confortable beds. Excellent restaurant with chalet atmosphere providing delicious meals. Nice location. They have a useful shuttle bus to the ski lift. This hotel seems very well managed.
The position in Crans Montana I would have prefered it if there were "No smoking" areas
Great price, great room, great restaurant Wireless internet wasn't working
Crans is very expensive, and this is one of the best quality/price options. We arrived around 23,30hs and there was nobody, thay have left the keys aat the recpetion.
Comfortable rooms. Clean. Pleasant place to stay. Each room had three beds. Plenty of wardrobe space. Free bus was good, but we couldn't follow the timetable easily. No vegetarian food option in the restaurant, but easy to find in the village. No security latch on the door to the room.
The people was very friendly and the hotel was so clean i wish they have Prosseco but no complaint
Very warm and comfortable hotel. Buffet breakfast was simple but good quality with excellent coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking nearby. Good ski storage and shuttle service to the slopes (Euro 4 per day). The entire hotel was spotlessly clean. Location is about 10/15 minutes walk from the village centre.
Beautiful views fron south side rooms on the eastern end of the hotel. Inattentive desk clerk (he was on his cell phone most of the time)
The price is reasonable considering the rather nice view over the villages. And breadfast is good in European standard. Room is clean as normally found in Swiss.
Friendly and very helpful reception. Room was pleasant, what one would expect for a ski area. The rooms with the best view were also on the road side, for me too noisy so I changed to the mountain side.
The staff were polite, friendly and efficient and we were relaxing in our room very quickly after arriving, a great relief after a long day of hiking. It was a clean and comfortable 3 star room. The hotel is attractive with nice lighting. I didn't see the point of having expensive bottled water for sale in the room. With Swiss mountain water in the tap, surely someone would only pay 4 CHF for a little bottle of Henniez by mistake?
Located in a very nice place with familiar but extremely professional staff. Rooms are clean with all facilities also for business traveler (internet connection). The food is very good as well.
Central. Make sure you get clear directions to hotel, we didn't and had great difficulty finding the hotel.
spa facilities, good breakfast, good restaurant, nice view
spa facilities included in price are great, restaurant is good, staff very helpful, and we also had an excellent view. would certainly return here. i asked for a double bed but got the all-too-common two twins pushed together... many hotels seem to have phased out doubles, but sleeping with a canyon in our midst was not real comfortable.
Hospitality, cleanliness, location
The spa area, position, restaurant I think the breakfest was not so good.
Friendly atmosphere, and comfortable. Good location.
the view, the spa and the food pillows too soft
I thought the food in the restaurant was excellent and nicely presented. It was easy to get to and easy to get anywhere from there. n/a
I like their food in the resturant. The location of the room. It was in the back side of hotel.
Location, nice and friendly staff and procedures in resto, fair room quality. Inaccurate room made up (no dust-off works, bed sheets with holes, unleft tips caused no shower gel suspensions nor soap bars left after room make up works on the last day of our stay. Will you stand it?
quiet, handy for Arolla, close to motorway, warm and dry after a days ice climbing
The hotel is very clean, very good value for money, good location, big and free car park, free internet (good at the first floor). There are only one chair in the rooms, not good when you are in a couple having to access the internet.
The hotel was clean, convenient and a goo valu for the money. Breakfast is a bit pricey at 15.00 per person
A decent place to stay after a long drive and was able to drink and dine outside on what was a very hot day. Thought that the restuarant meal prices were a bit expensive 16 chf for an omlette.
Basic hotel, close to Sion, easily accessible by car. For budget minded travellers. Lack of air conditioning.
went to watch golf at crans nice half hour drive away nice breakfast
location relative to ski resorts only one towel for two people in the room
The hotel is very comfortable with good restaurant/bar and play area. The cot provided was very good and the staff very helpful and proffessional.
the easy acces It is better if all rooms were nonsmoking
a normal price even if it was New Year's Eve.The bathroom is new with a big shower; nice! the room was a bit smelly but just need to open the window and it's fine.no fridge. breakfast too expensive 15-/pers.
Would recommend it to friends, pleasant location, good service and food
Friendly service, great food, good internet access, ample parking, close to the ski slope. All around fantastic!!
quietness, friendliness and professionalism of the staff
Great location and beautiful views from everywhere, comfortable rooms, good value
Staff was amazing and the room was perfect. Very accommodating to special needs and requests. Great view with balcony. They double charged me for my room but they were quick to fix the mistake. Very respectful staff. It was about a 15 minute walk from the funicular but you could take a bus if needed.
Yes. Staff was not prepared to deal with internet booking , therefore the same person gave me two different infos. First, everything seemed to be paid over the net with my credit card ,and when I payed the minibar , she said the bill was not paid so I have to trust her and made the payment again (or not) I will have to check on my next bill
Fantastic location. Very efficient and friendly staff. Good food.
Fantastic south facing room with balcony view of the Rhone valley and Alps. Very clean room room & hotel. Good Breakfast Stayed at hotel in May. Quiet season. No hotel transport available when we arrived on Funicular rail. Hotel is 20 minute walk from station. Because of low season & few guests hotel did not operate the restaurant for evening meals, (only breakfast, which was good). Booked hotel having read reviews about hotel restaurant. Was dissapointed with this but otherwise everything was good.
The view from our room and the restaurant was stunning. The staff were approachable and friendly. The evening meal was outstanding with a good choice of local wines reasonably priced The free bus system was erratic and confusing
very relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. They seem quite fond of music which is always nice. The breakfast was ok, but could have been a bit better. The rooms were very nice, but did not have much character
Comfortable mattress, good linen, well equipped bedrooms. Nicely refurbished in contemporary style, but with warmth. Breakfast was continental, buffet style meal which was fine, but it would have been nice to have been offered proper coffee and hot milk instead of the drink coming from a push-button machine. But that was the only thing I think that could have been improved.
Like the name. It is in the centre of Montana town. Clean, well made room. However, the price can be a little too steep for a 3 stars hotel and the check out time is at ridiculous 10.30am. An iron will be great too.
Central location, reasonable price, friendly service.
Overall the Hotel was excellent, the only negative was there were no ironing facilities.
Hospitality and friendly staff Nothing
Nice and quiet environment. Good location. Easy to access and to get to interesting places, and not too expensive. And free wifi.
