Located in Lamothe-Capdeville, LA MAISON DE MANON is in a provincial park, within a 15-minute drive of Montauban L' Estang Golf Course and Office de Tourisme Montauban. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Our hosts were fabulous. They shared information about the local tourist attractions and made good recommendations. A great view in a country setting made for a peaceful, relaxing stay.
Pros: Super location, friendly owners, great vibe, good breakfast
Pros: The location of the gîte was perfect. Near enough from Montauban but on top of a hill where we had splendid views and some real peace. The pool was great and Manon had a nice breakfast to offer. The room offered 5 sleeping places which are an unusual thing in the same room so it was perfect for our family.
Cons: The gîte clearly needs maintenance. The place was clean enough but you can tell it is too much work for two elderly people. If they wish to keep this house as a gîte, they would need to get some help for the general maintenance.
Pros: A charming country home with a breath taking view ... owned and managed by a wonderful family
Cons: It was utterly charming
With a stay at Le clos de la Salamandre in Duravel, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Château Lamartine and Fumel-Vallee du Lot Tourism Office. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very nice couple own and manage the property. Very relaxing stay. The bedrooms, garden area, swimming pool, breakfast are all of excellent standard. Next door to a campsite with a mini market and bar. Fridge available outside in garden area. Bike hire available including some e-bikes. Quiet roads and trails through vineyards by the River Lot with historic villages and sites nearby.
Cons: A bit too far to walk to local villages with facilities. You need a car to get to most restaurants.
Pros: Beautifully renovated bedrooms, with stylish bathrooms, and a lovely classic large dining table for breakfast. Lovely swimming pool and garden, and easy parking inside the property.
Pros: Everything. Loved the pool and the fridge near the pool. Ambience was terrific.
Cons: Wifi poor in our room. Could use it in the kitchen. Sign hanging outside the residence did not say the name of the accommodation. It could be updated. There was a sign on the gate but this was difficult to see when driving by.
Pros: We loved the ambiance and enjoyed talking to our charming hosts. Breakfast was included and excellent. The pool was terrific.
Cons: Wifi did not work well in our room. It was good in the kitchen.
Pros: Our hosts were excellent and very helpful considering out lack of French. We have no hesitation recommending this hotel to others. It was an unexpected bonus to be introduced to our hosts' ceramic and mosaic business.
Pros: A very comfortable room with modern and clean en-suite facilities. Good French Breakfast with a great selection of home made jams. We were well looked after. Very good value for money.
Cons: Not close to the village - you need a car or a willingness to walk 2.5km for a beer.
A stay at Le Presbytere places you in the heart of Puy-l'Eveque, and within a 15-minute drive of Château Lamartine. Featured amenities include laundry facilities, microwave in a common area, and refrigerator in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The house is in a lovely village and was really really comfortable. We had a private bathroom and the bed was very very comfortable and the room was quite big. But without doubt, the best was the breakfast, it was AMAZING variety and quality, The onwers were really nice and helpful all the time.
Cons: Everything was really good, no regrets at all!
Pros: The view from our balcony was fantastic. Sally and Paul were very friendly and welcoming.
Cons: nothing everything was perfect
Pros: Beautifully renovated building with a fabulous panoramic view of the Lot from our room. Wonderful, friendly hosts, delicious breakfast, great location. Perfect place to stay!
Pros: Fantastic view from the terrace and our hosts were fantastics!
Pros: Everything was great. The hosts are wonderful and charming. Very clean and confy.
Pros: Hosts Sally and Paul were very attentive, very helpful, yet not intrusive in any way. They made my stay all about me and even did some laundry for me, gratis! View here is spectacular and every room has access to a terrace.
Cons: Absolutely no complaints.
Pros: Good hosts and superb location with great view
Pros: Owners very nice and friendly. Good to be able to speak English with them! House nicely furnished and decorated. Good location with parking out the front and view of town from bedroom. Breakfast was well presented and tasty.
Cons: Private bathroom was across the hall so not an en suite.
Pros: Everything! The warm welcome! The cleanness! The breakfast Amazing people Came here two years ago and back again .....
9.4 Excellent (27 reviews)
Located in Duravel, Château de Rouffiac Chambres d'hôtes Vignoble de Cahors is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Chateau de Bonaguil and SauveTerre Museum of Prehistory. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Fabulous opportunity to stay on a vineyard with welcoming hosts. Dinner with wines included was excellent and the conversation interesting. Buffet breakfast the following morning was extensive even though we were the only guests.
Cons: Because the hostess was cooking she was unable to join us for dinner which was a pity as it would have been good to talk to her more as well as our host.
Pros: Everything about this property was exactly what we were looking for. There was no sound of cars, all you could hear was the wind through the trees, birds, peaceful silence. The chateau itself is magnificent and the breakfast had every option we could think of for a French breakfast. The coffee was delicious (I'm a coffee freak) and the bread with the choices of meats and cheeses was fantastic! The small town is only a few minutes drive down the road and it has wonderful options for lunches and dinners, very quaint little town. The hosts were also incredibly kind! They didn't speak English but we were able to get by perfectly well. Not to mention the wine! This place is also home to a winery that makes incredibly delicious (and very affordable) wine. I can't say enough great things about this place, everything about it went beyond our expectations. If you are looking for absolute tranquility and to experience real southern France life, this is it.
Pros: Nothing was too much trouble. Setting beautiful, wine delicious, pool perfect. Would still be there now if we could.
Cons: Only my inability to converse properly with Madam. She was so nice & if we can return, I will definitely try to improve my French.
Pros: Superb place to stay in a wonderful setting. The hosts could not be more accommodating and friendly. Great rooms and an especially amazing breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend!
Pros: beautiful spacious light room and bathroom, lovey views, super varied breakfast, very friendly welcome
Cons: all was perfect
Pros: Very quiet, beautiful grounds, great service
Cons: It's very isolated
Pros: The property - house and land - were perfect, so beautiful. The breakfast was excellent. The pool is massive and perfectly clean, overlooking the vinyard. There are excellent wines on sale that are made at the property. Beautiful towns and villages to explore around.
Cons: The chateau is a bit difficult to find. It's important to keep in mind that there is no food in the chateau and no kitchen. You need to drive to the villages around to find restaurants. The challenge is to be in the restaurant before it closes, drive around mountans in the dark. Also, it is a wine-making region so there is a hard choice whether to drink and drive or not.
Pros: Quiet location, beautiful house.
Cons: Nothing, perfect
Located in Duravel, Le Couvent is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Château Lamartine and Fumel-Vallee du Lot Tourism Office. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice room with origal touch, good bed !
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Convent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Anne & Jean-François were really helpful before and during our visit. We loved homemade carrot cake for breakfast! Thank - you
Pros: The building
Cons: The toilet in our room didn't have a door but only a CURTAIN and had no ventilation. The sheets and the towels were not ironed. They were of grey color so we Could not be sure they were fresh either. Nothing looked really clean. Breakfast was basic. The place is absolutely overpriced for what it is. I would not recommend this B&B.
Pros: Lovely atmosphere - a very good French Breakfast every morning, Nice pool and lovely people.
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and helpfull. The appartment in the former nuns cells was very spacious. nice swimmingpool. Bonus: in the church and garden of the convent was a little concert going on.
Cons: The styling of the rooms is not my style. But that is very personally. Better signs towards the convent would be nice.
Pros: Loved the welcome from Anne and Jean-François. A very special place and very special hosts for a great experience. Thanks!
Pros: Staying at Le Couvent with Ann & Jean-Francois was like staying with old friends. They simply could not do enough for us. The Couvent was an amazing, beautiful and tranquil space to stay and relax in. We were even treated to freshly baked cakes every morning with our breakfast! It's walking distance to the local amenities of Duravel, but far enough to feel like it's own little space. With it's own Jazz bar and expo space, Ann & Jean-Francois have created something truly unique!
Cons: That we had to leave after a week!
Pros: Very nice and authentic place ; our host were very kind and attentive ; the breakfast with the homemade local cakes were great; the rooms were big and the beds comfortable. Nice villages around worth visiting.!
Cons: a bit close to the road, you could hear the cars when windows opened. but perfertly soundless when closed.
Pros: Lovely rooms, clean and comfortable. Wonderful atmosphere. Our Hosts were friendly and helpful. Could not find fault with anything.
Cons: Wasn't an issue for us but no evening meal is served so check local restaurant is open.
When you stay at La Truffière in Puy-l'Eveque, you'll be 11 minutes by car from Château Lamartine. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage.
Pros: Very warm welcome, walked us down to a good local restaurant that we would not have found otherwise, very good breakfast.
Pros: It was well located in a pretty town.
Cons: We booked here because it advertised a good restaurant on site. Sadly it was closed. The only place in town that was open was a pizza place. Hardly our idea of a good night on a culinary break in France. The hotel felt very down at heel and needed a bit of TLC all round.
Pros: The breakfast was very good. Also tea making facilities in the bedroom, much appreciated and air conditioner
Pros: Comfortable and clean with a gorgeous view of the river and nice plentiful breakfast
Cons: Lighting a little dark in bedroom
Pros: More road noise than I had expected, and close to the church with bells which chimed the hour 24/7. Light sleepers should beware.
Pros: We liked the friendliness. I never thought the French liked the English, maybe it's always been the English not liking the French. Christof and his wife made us feel right at home. Nothing was a problem!
Cons: An outside pool would have been a treat!! Breakfasts were lovely, dinners, the best!
Pros: Price, the dogs, the wifi, bathroom cleanliness, good service upon check-in
Cons: Uncomfortable mattress, felt ripped off by the 8 euro charge for breakfast that consisted of bread, jam and a coffee, I complained upon check out and the clerk didn’t seem to care, if we had just gone to the restaurant as regular customers instead of hotel guests the price of coffee is $2 and the croissant $1
Cons: Excellent for cyclists. Great food! Great staff!

Pros: Wonderful bedroom overlooking the river. Owner was very helpful but we could not get wifi unkess we sat in receotion Liveky hitel in the muddle if tiwn but too expensive for what is offered
Cons: Lack of wifi in bedroom
Pros: The river view and the breakfast
Cons: The small garden below the rooms was very unkempt and breakfast should be served in riverside rooms
Pros: Great room. Great views.
Cons: My mistake. Forgot the restaurant was closed Sunday night. Unfortunately the only real option was la truffiere across the road which was not really up to much.
Pros: The location above the Lot is spectacular
Cons: The staff were not friendly. The restaurant for dinner expensive for the (not very high) standard

Planning an event in Fumel? This hotel has facilities measuring 355 square feet (33 square meters), including a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Everything. The owners and staff were wonderful and went out of their way to help us and make our stay very pleasant. The food at the restaurant was great.
Cons: Lack of vending machine or room service?
Pros: Lovely owners and wonderful staff - Great restaurant
Pros: Nice infinity pool!
Pros: not a lot
Cons: very poor breakfast, reluctant staff, could not control room temperature
Pros: Nice hotel with good restaurant and bar.
Pros: Beautiful quiet pool and terrace
Pros: Excellent lunch, well designed room and a good welcome.
Cons: Breakfast was very lilmited - old French style!
Pros: I have been visiting this area for many years, I have friends who live there ..The Henry is a typical Logis hotel of the area. It does exactly what it says on the tin. The food is good the staff are friendly and its good value for money. Apart for a small misunderstanding about my payment in advance, soon settled, as I had a receipt, no problem at all. I would happily recommend it to any one. If you use booking . com don't pay in advance as it only confuses them. P.S none of the staff speak English so some French is essential.
Cons: Je ne change rien, pour moi c` etait parfait.
Pros: Convenient parking, very relaxed friendly atmosphere and good food in the restaurant. Excellent value for money.
Pros: Convenient location, plenty of free parking nearby. Nice historic town to walk around, supermarket within walking distance and also a boulangerie. Beds and towels exceptionally clean, and room generally clean, although the stairs and corridor on first appearance left me wondering what to expect in the room.
Cons: Awful free internet. Not over impressed with management, but I think that comes from spending too many years on the road in English hotels - this is a different country. The restaurant menu didn't excite my taste buds, although it seemed fairly busy for midweek, so I guess they must be doing something right.
Pros: the bed was comfy and the staff very friendly
Pros: Very good value for money fantastic staff
Cons: Could do with a luxury suite wouldn’t have any issue paying more for it.
Pros: very helpful and friendly proprietors went out of their way to help us.

Pros: Lovely people who did everything they could to make our stay comfortable
Pros: The room was so pretty with a fantastic bathroom ! and the breakfast was really nice. The owners felt us welcome. They were friendly and pro-active but not intrusive. We enjoyed our stay and for sure will come back again.
Pros: We had a fantastic stay in a very well equipped and comfortable en suite room. The overhead fan in the bedroom was especially appreciated when the local temperature hit the mid-40s C. The availability of a guest sitting room and use of a kitchen was especially welcome. An excellent breakfast on the private guest terrace overlooking the Lot Valley was very welcoming as were our hosts Maureen and Phil who could not have done more for us. Will definitely use La Provençale again and would highly recommend it.
Located in L'Honor-de-Cos, Château de Loubéjac is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Montauban L' Estang Golf Course and Ingres Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Absolutely Fantastic. Everything was great. Don't miss this place!
Pros: Fabulous building with lovely large swimming pool and grounds. Bed rooms fairly basic although with a very nice modern well equipped bathroom. Games room with a pool table, happy children!
Located in Montcabrier, Domaine résidentiel de Mazières is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Château Lamartine and Chateau de Bonaguil. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly, Everthing was clean and tidy. The meals were very good value for money and you had a lot of choice.
Cons: The room was hot once you shut the door.
Pros: Most of all the staff Manon and Marco made us very welcome their hospitality was superb The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable The area was very pretty and peaceful Would def stay again
Pros: The nice view and calm place.
Cons: The location is really far from the town as very scare if you can't reach it before sunset.
Pros: Particularly charming staff in the restaurant. Quiet and convenient location. Comfortable bed.
Cons: I stayed 6 nights. My room was never cleaned, I had to dispose of my garbage myself. My room was infested with roaches, some of whom found their way into my luggage. The walls are thin so one can hear snoring and other noise from neighbouring rooms. The pool was cloudy on most days during my stay and the level of the pool water became quite low, low enough to make freestyle swimming impossible. Mobile phone signal is intermittent and many rooms have no wifi signal. Breakfast selection is limited and dull.
Pros: Extremely quiet, ideal to have a good rest ! Very comfortable bed. Room overlooking a terrace. Sympathetic staff.
Pros: It's calm, not expensive, the lady who works in the office was very kind to us and very helpful...Thank you for everything.
Cons: The spider and insects are hanging outside the windows, may be it would be better if you wash the outside with a hose during or before summer. We found some insects and spider inside the room and toilet and one hanging from top of the ceiling in the bedroom eventhough we didn't open the window. Also the top of the wardrobes was dusty. The place is a bit old but we're satisfied with that without a problem, it's equal to the price we paid. The location is very difficult to get to especially if you drive at night be careful. And there's a cemetery right opposite the place, I was freaking out to see it but lucky our place was way at the back far from the entrance.
The property is situated on the square of a charming 13th century village in the Lot, near the Dordogne and Aquitaine. The terrace, where breakfast and dinner can be served, has panoramic views of the countryside. The two double-bedded rooms are modest but practical and are in an independent wing of the house. If you want private facilities when booking one of the bedrooms you can make an exclusive reservation. The entire guest wing will therefore be yours for a supplement. Your host is Sally Gaucheron, a British art historian resident in the region since 1991. The range of services she provides reflects her interests: personal cultural tours, walking holidays, artist's or writer's retreat. Sally creates holidays for individuals and not groups. This region of southwest France is famous for its wealth of Paleolithic and medieval sites, picturesque hilltop villages and unspoiled and varied landscape. St. Cirq-Lapopie, Rocamadour and the Valentré Bridge at Cahors are the best known sites in the Lot. Many less familiar but equally delightful treasures await the enquiring visitor. Pech Merle is of international renown, both for its prehistoric images and geological formations. Bonaguil castle is just a short drive away. Lawrence of Arabia wrote about it in a letter to his mother in 1908: "It is so perfect that it is almost ridiculous to call it a ruin". Henry Miller describes the area in 'The Colossus of Maroussi': "It is not French, not Austrian, not European even: it is the country of enchantment which the poets have staked out and which they alone may lay claim to. It is the nearest thing to paradise this side of Greece. Let us call it the Frenchman's paradise, by way of making a concession." You can visit these sites and more without having a car! The solution is to book your own touring programme with Sally. However she is always pleased to advise you if you wish to remain independent. (Please note that the prices listed are per room and not per person).
