The architecure of the place, that they have a libery and a room for children to play We wanted to check in with a child at 13.20h. The child wanted to go to the toilet. In the internet it said that check-in before 14 o`clock can be possible. The woman behind the recption desk did nothing to let the child go to the toilet. Than at 14.20 there were 2 new receptionist telling me I need a print out from the booking. But they cannot print out in the hotel. And the complete town doesn`t have a internet cafe with a printer. To show them my booking was not enough. To tell them the booking number was not enough. The child already had a wet pant. Than at 15 o`clock they finally gave me a key for a really grey and ugly room with 6 beds inside instead of 2, instead of the one with the nice picture from the booking plattform. The shower interiour broken, the curtains half existing, not washed. The breakfast toast and ham. I am a vegetarian. After asking both people behind the rection how to get to the aiport with the bus or metro. No answer. Besides, "take a taxi", somewhere is a bus. Somewhere in the hotel a small plan. No service thoughts. Did not even stand up to check why the 4 computer in the libery did not work. He only repeated. Put the password in the window of the computer... The password was not the problem. If he would have came behind the desk and checked, he would have known. I lost one day, the lazyness with which they worked was teriffic and the stay was a true horror. Not recommanded for families!!
When we arrived at Centre Esplai Albergue's reception, they reserved 2 rooms with 4 bunk beds on each one instead of 2 rooms with 1 double bed on each ones. Rooms were very dirty and beds were with mustiness! Images on website aren't really. Nightly staff was nice and friendy, while in the morning other staff was very rude.
Clean, big rooms, price. The location.
I liked the fact of only staying a few hours due to a flight connection Dirty, old, rooms are embarrassing
Friendly staff, good location, value for money. Functional distance from room to bathroom and toilet
Remember this is a hostel not a 5* hotel. Basic facilities but convenient for the town centre via the excellent transport system. Friendly people but they left you alone if you wanted privacy. Most important - receptionists are on the wavelength of the traveller. Unusual to have breakfast without plates so you had to eat rolls off a napkin. That's only minor.
It was right across the street from a metro/subway station and not too far from the beach. The noisiness of the people at night. People seemed to stay up all night. It was like living in a college dorm with activity at all hours. We had people who were staying at the hostel sitting on the sidewalk in front of the hotel playing music and talking until 4am. We had to leave at 6am the next morning so we did not get any sleep that night.
i thought it was okey, good price with a smal breakfast in the price, near to the beach and metro station, far to the bathroom,
There was a lot to like about the Hostel. The fact it was almost directly opposite a tube-station on a line which also goes to the centre made it the perfect compromise between quiet surroundings and accessibility to the city. The staff welcomed us when I arrived and gave us the full lowdown on surrounding businesses if we did not want to venture into the city at any one time. Going to the beach there was utterly brilliant, it was little used but had a life-guard right there, and the sea was beautilful. The twin-room was basically furnished but it had ample storage, the bed was really comfy and the air conditioning worked well which was a relief. The en-suite was also good. A very minor point but the shower seemed to work on a timed-basis, which was a little inconvenient, but I can see how it suit the dormed rooms, if not the two-person ones!
