peacefulness, location, friendliness, helpful, gardens were a delight and the pool/spa facilities good but not well advertised. I would stay again so long as I was in a garden room. Our room - 1 - was fine in itself but was overlooking the road - no traffic - but like sleeping under the eiffel tower. Curtains did not fit windows so bright street lights all night. Not a good nights sleep and not frankly worth the £200. A shame as it is not difficult to find curtains to fit. Also no information in the room about the hotel/area/dining etc. All we got was an envelope asking for a tip at the end....hardly condusive to good feeling.
One of the bst hotles I have ever been. Very private and comfortable. A place to go again!
Beautiful building with a medieval feel, spacious, tastefully done up. Lovely large courtyard garden, covered swimming pool. Large rooms, very comfortable. Friendly staff. A really classy place where you could easily spend a week or two. Right in the centre of the incredible city of Aigues-Mortes.
The whole experience was very very good, i would recommend this to anyone, the reality is far better than what you see in the 'brochure'. Simply astounding. once inside the walls of the town, then Villa. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were great =] loads going on in the main plaza, loads to eats and shop. I even found a local supermarket bought beers and bread and other yummies from the deli then headed outside the ramparts to sit and watch the world go buy and the sun set. amazing =] The roads nearby and the bridge got seriously congested, if you just chill you get in soon enough. It is a major attraction for the area so it is expected i suppose.
I thought that staying at the hotel was a fantastic experience, it was a haven & a very relaxing experience, also the staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Hotel setting was also a bonus.
Everything was great !
The overall ambiance and attention to detail, close to a wide range of restaurants. An oasis in an historic town.
what a lovely Hotel, right in the centre of the walled city,a super pool in a wonderful courtyard, very quiet location,a good but sligtly overpriced breakfast for just a continental one,a tight squeze if you have a bigish car for parking in the underfloor but very secure garage,we simple loved the stop.and would have liked to have been able to stay longer in that area.
We loved the garden and adjacent swimming pool, room was nice and quiet; much care has been given to create a romantic classy atmosphere in the building. The price of the breakfast is not included in the roomrate and too high in comparision to that.
The hotel is near the centre of the city. The clean woman came to our room at 9:30 when it's supposed we had to leave the hotel at 10. She gave us the towels and bed clothes in a rude way and we had to leave the hotel before our hour. The room was in bad conditions.
The outside pool is a great asset. breakfast was adequate (not the best we had, but the food was wonderful in the evenings, especially the fish and the 'fig tart'. The owners were very helpful and even gave us a lift to the airport. Although some aspects of the room need updating, such as the bathroom, it was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable,
Given the proximity of the airport the hotel was remarkably quiet. The overall atmosphere was one of calmness and relaxation. The staff polite and helpful. The main attraction as far as my children were concerned were Vanilla and Tiger. All in all a really welcoming Hotel
Very friendly staff and excellent evening meal. Very convenient for Nimes airport.
Calm, relaxing atmosphere; very charming rustic building but quite sophisticated decor/ambience. Was worried about being so near an airport but only saw one plane and it wasn't very loud. Although only a stopover we all wanted to return for a holiday! although food was overall good, with a very nice breakfast, some disappointments at dinner (poor quality steak; over-peppered duck)
It was a beautiful and charming place to stay. The pool was large, lovely and clean. The pool area was well equipped with hammocks, chaise lounges and the staff provided pool towels. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable and clean.
friendly & helpful reception staff. beautiful pool restaurant not open
The loungers around the pool were amazing....bean bags and hammocks!. And I loved being waited on around the pool. The food at the restaurant was very tastey. A 3 course meal with some unusual choices but delicious all the same. Catered well for kids with less discerning palates. Little english spoken but just about enough to get by. The rooms were large and airey with air conditioning and wonderfully large showers. Quiet area but still close enough to Nimes airport which is a fabulous location for early morning flights. An excellent find which I would definitely recommend. no
The staff were very freindly and helpful, the food was very very nice and not expensive, the pool area was great . The hotel does have traffic noise .
We stayed one night between destinations. We enjoyed the pool and the restaurant. There is nothing special about the location.
Good food, nice pool and attractive outside eating area. Room decor getting a little shabby,in need of redecoration.
The view from the room, the staff and the position. For us,just out of season, parking was easy in front of the hotel. But in season it's a long walk to a (paying )car park.
Location right on the beach and only a minute or so from town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was a little small. We stayed early-ish in the season and the hotel's advertised lounge bar was closed by 8 p.m.
Great location €10 for breakfast is a bit much
Lovely area and staff. Really nice place to relax.
Very clean for the usual standards in France, helpful personnel, silent location.
The friendly hotel staff. The large balcony. Right on the sea front Decor was a bit dated. Bathroom smelt damp.
Great view, spacious room and bathroom,, would definately come again
The hotel was right on the sea front with a splendid, sea view from our balcony. There was parking (paying) in front of the hotel. The port and tourist shopping/eating area was just behind the hotel. In fact we would say the hotel lived up to its name, Splendid. The breakfast was very expensive. We do not eat a great deal so ate elsewhere at a fraction of the price.
Superb location almost on the beach lots of restaurants very close staff very attentive without being intrusive
wonderful room with great views and balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I felt breakfast wasn't really worth the extra money. There aremany places to grab breakfast around the hotel.
calm and warm the room was a little too small, no place to go aroud the bed
The room was quiet, reasonably clean and confortable. The staff was amiable. The plumbing of the entire hotel is very noisy, especially at night. The breakfast is poor and very expensive. The bar is badly stocked and also very expensive.
Quiet location, staff helpful, nice room
The staff are welcoming and friendly and the swimming pool is excellent. The location of the hotel is good for shops and the beach.
For a 3-star, it was an excellent choice. Very clean and comfortable. As we came into the lobby, the heavy smoke was disturbing and uncomfortable.
I would have liked knowing that the hotel accepted dogs in rooms. There was one barking 2 rooms away from mine in the afternoon as its owners were out.
Location, location, location- easy access to shopping places, beaches, airport and to the city of Montpellier. Very quite and walking distance to many places. For golfers, excellent place to stay, my bedroom was rignht on the golf course. The staff were very friendly and spoke fluent english which was a plus. I will definitel stay here when I go back to Montpellier. Just remember that the refrigerator is inside the closet. We did not know until the last day.
The swimming pool, the breakfast and the room cleaning
Did not like much. not very good. very poor maintained rooms.
Very service minded staff. Excellent location. Children friendly. The english knowledge for some in the reseption is very poor. Difficult to communicate if you cannot speek french. Limited brekfast ( served only at room ).
service could use a clock in my room. i forgot mine.
Hotel staff was very helpful for a language deficient traveler
Excellent location with great restaurant next door.
The hotel is right beside the sea/marina. Our room looked (as all rooms do) out over the pool and marina. the staff were very friendly and helpful. Recption had good english. The hotel lovely and private and about 300m walk from a selection of resturants and soft sand beach. The only draw back was a very small toilet in our room.
breakfast on our own terrace, friendly staff
Lovely place - very expensive considering it was 'off-season' and some of the amenities weren't open.
The location and the landscape were excellent. The setting and layout of the resort was also good but did not necessarily separate the business clients from holidayers. Breakfast was poor, there was one staff trying to do everything. During our stay there was also a business meeting which created a lot of discomfort. The business meeting was inevitably noisy with having their small group discussions by the pool while we were trying to relax. The group members had no respect for people having holidays talking loudly at 3.00am after their team building (?) events.
Ideally situated for access to the nature, excellent food and very comfortable accommodation in the Cabane de Gardian.
Lovely location, in the middle of little lakes with birds and all kinds of animals. Absolutely quiet. The restaurant is excellent.
We can not get dinner in the hotel. Even more, we can not get a glass of beer at 21.30 - they have closed entertainment at swimming pool. You can stay at your hotel room (small house), but aircondition does not work. Next day they gave as a breakfast for free but this is not what we need travelling around Provence and coming far from Slovenia
big size of TV Thi is definitely not a 4 stars hotel! Poor cleaning service, some of the rooms are not cleaned before 3 pm. The lagune behind the room smelled incredibly. Towels to the swimming pool are lent only on a deposit of 40 €! So guests use their own and let it on a chair as a reservation all the day. So when you come to the swimming pool, all chairs are "occupied" even there is nearly no one.
swimming pool, horse riding restaurant and breakfast very expensive
Good food if limited choice and interesting rooms no
beautiful new, clean condo in a very nice complex; great pool; good location. poorly run: the management of this fairly new complex seems to be unclear about the nature of the facility resulting in an odd combination of hotel and holiday rental property. The experience would have been infinitely better, if the hotel/rental policies had been made clear from the onset.
the location is good accomodation clean and reception very friendly not too expensive all round a good place to stay only the appearance of the hotel apartments rather stark a bit like cell blocks !
Good location, right next to supermarket, and close to beaches and attractions in the area including pony trekking and funfair. No airconditioning in the appartment, and you are required to clean before leaving (property inspected before check-out). Also address is not shown on many sat nav systems, so had to phone for alternative street name.
The hôtel is clean, good location and large enough for my 5 chidren family! The kitchen is well équiped. Nô soap neither in kitchen nor bathroom, we were locked inside thé résidence after Check out and there was noone at thé réception...a manual opening would have been easier :-)
Heavy attention to the security 1)we had to make our bed from unfolding a couch(reception statement)
Very comfortable room with excellent views. Easy access to beach. Evening meal menu was limited and poor value compared to restaurants nearby.
Proximity to beach and marina. Spectacular views from sixth floor bar / restaurant. Although the views were delightful, dinner in the restaurant was mediocre, the menu very limited and the bar withour character
I liked particularly the location, just in front of the beach. The breakfast is too expensive regarding to the quality/quantity. The hotel is noisy very early in the morning: cleaners make noise.
welcoming and helpful
kindness, hotel position little info about surroundigs available
Excellent reception. Manager very kindly lent us his map book. Theyh could not have been more helpful. Very polite. Room looked out over canal and our parked car. Spoke very good English.Thoroughly recommend Logis Heraclee Nothing
Hospitality was warming. nothing
Monitored parking Handy location Friendly staff, good language skills For *** rating one would expect a kettle and some coffee making provision
Position of the hotel overlooking the French waterways. The view from our window was of the high brick wall.
Family run hotel in a nice location on the shore of a canal. I was afraid it could stink in August, but it did not. Very friendly owner. reasonable price. No lift.
Very helpful and nice owner who spoke English, the hotel was well placed to explore the surrounding cities and countryside. The room was exceptionally hot and the air conditioning did not work, the bathroom had no ventilation which meant the room also got the heat and moisture from the water vapour making the room more uncomfortable. The town itself , St Giles, is not very tourist friendly and you wouldn't want to choose it as a holiday destination, but it is good as a base.
Had air conditioning and plenty of street parking. Had balcony but no view since the walls were high. There was internet access but the connection was poor at times.
staff were excellent frm arrival to departure
hotel room recently renovated. green surroundings food was medium quality
room spacious, and well equipped large parking even though expensive (not included in the rate) the pool was always overcrowded
The location and view over the golf course Breakfast was rather disorganised and cooked foods kept running out. As a none cheese/cold continental meat consumer I feel that 12 euros in addition to the room charge was too much for cereal/bread/pastries - however I would probably stay again if in the area.
Wev are very pleased. In general very polite and helpsom staff, nice rooms and facilities.
Affordable price, parking, good location; good buffet breakfast Poor choices on the restaurant menu; very mediocre food.
Swimming Food of restraunt was not delicous for me.
walking distance to golf course! La Grande Motte is not the most pictoresque location to be! ugly 70s architectural monster complex...
It was a very welcoming hotel and we felt comfortable from the start. Rooms were excellent, patio area very relaxing and a superb breakfast. Charging 10 euros for parking, which they only do in July and August
Kindness of the staff. Very close to the beach. Room clean and perfumed.
Abundant parking outside, no need for € 10,- hotel parking. Just a small walking distance from beachside promenade should be mentioned as a pre. Breakfast buffet splendid and breakfast terrace with pool and seaside view very pleasing. The Hotel is named:"Thalasso Mediterranee" and that name is on the Hotel. Les Corallines is nowhere to be found. Restaurant prices are not compatible with the quality of the food. Quality of food at seaside restaurants also very poor.
Great seaside The food (dinner) was not so good and the price of it was too high
Superb location with private pool and only a few steps from a white sandy beach.
Hotel plays second fiddle to the spa
Clean modern room with facilities & patio view exactly as advertised.Helpful & unobtrusive staff. Lots of facilities & amenities available but these seemed to be part of the Spa resport & appeared to be only available at extra cost.Unclear on what was and what was not available to guests as part of the hotel cost.Because of this I did not feel I used all hotel facilities.
From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely helpful we had to leave our vehicle 3kms away as we arrived the day the Tour de France was arriving in town and all roads were blocked. so we had to leg it to the hotel. The hotel room was large and we had a balcony with a view of the swimming pool and the sea. We even had a view fom the bathtub. The swimming pool was the best I have ever expereinced, it was enormous and just the right temperature a pleasure to swim in. Nothing all good
stylish hotel interior, perfect location near beach and restaurants, good swimming pool, sauna and hamman sauna and hamman closed on sunday, expensive spa treatments, basic bit more oldfashioned standard room furniture compared to stylish rest
Very good hotel, but could be better for just a few simple changes. Location is perfect. Pool is wonderful. Rooms are nice with a good balcony.Staff are friendly. Lots and Lots of restaurants near by and a very big Sunday market. Only 41 rooms so hotel never to busy. Negative comments below are advisory only. Restaurant is ok but a little expensive. Breakfast is simple and fine but also expensive. Finding the hotel is not straight forward and getting into their car park can be difficult.
The leisure and spa facilities at the hotel were excellent. Great staff - extremely friendly and helpful! There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
a quiet hotel away from the town but near enough to be convenient outside of the buildings looking a bit shabby, no English language TV
rien no frigo-bar , not easy to find the way to go to the hotel
Complex really nice, good rooms, especially having a fridge...great idea. Pool excellent, and great menu. Accessability to Aigues Mortes, especially on foot.
a very well organized hotel, clean rooms, nice view, friendly personnel and only a few km from the town of aigues-mortes
Airco in room, the bath tub, big parking lot Aigues-Mortes is not really within walking distance, you need a car really. Breakfast was ok, but seems more destined for international travellers (the offered patisserie was disappointing!)
The friendliness of the owners. The rooms were very clean & the beds very comfortable. The rooms were a good size. There is a bar & also a restaurant which was ver good. TVs in the rooms & Canal TV in the downstairs bar/lounge area. We were there in April but I think that in summer it would be ideal for families with young children. They were doing maintenance work on the swimming pool & play area which to me suggests that the place is well looked after & cared for. the owners didn't speak any English but tried very hard to be helpful which is really all that I ask!!! Only down side is that there is no lift althouh there are rooms on the ground floor & the stairs are wide & not too difficult.
We like the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. The parking is easy. There is plenty of room outside for walking our dogs. And the dinners are excellent. Oh, and the wifi ALWAYS works seamlessly. For business trips it is crucial.
Booking by internet and reception when we arrived were very easy. The staff are friendly and continental breakfast adequate.
Good value hotel, rooms a bit basic but nice pool and terrace. Good breakfast. 20 mins drive to Nimes. Unable to connect to wi-fi in room (2nd floor at back)
Great pool, great food
Friendly staff who made you feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. For a 2* hotel the restraunt was very good.
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice garden outside for walking our small dogs. Easy, secure parking right outside the door. Excellent food. Simple, free wifi. Charming view of the countryside and animals from our window.
