everythings no complaints
The price was very fair and we were treated well there, bar the breakfast. The breakfast certainly needs working on. They starting clearing away long before it was due to end (10.30 am) and the yellow mass that was the scrambled eggs was cold, as were the mini sausages etc. It seemed almost impossible to get hot coffee, the stuff that was in the thermos flasks was at best luke warm. The french coffee appears to be exceptionally strong, black as the ace of spades and no amount of milk was going to dilute that (no microwave around to reheat it once one had added half a jug of milk).
Friedly, knowledgeable staff and a beautiful, large, contemporary room in the heart of the town. Looked brand new. Free internet in rooms.
Room was excellent, clean & comfortable Staff clueless at reception, how do you get internet access ??
The hotel is modern, luxurious and stylish. The rooms are terrific and the staff polite, helpful and courteous. Also a very secure underground car park. My wife and I stayed for one night only on a Sunday. Apparently on all Sundays in this hotel the bar and restaurant are closed. The only room service available was an expensive full meal. Luckily we managed to find a restaurant that was open in the square.
Excellent and very helpful hotel staff. Comfortable room, everything decorated with style
It was very clean and modern. Parking charge in Hotel garage €13/day. Breakfast buffet was disappointing.
I was traveling with a male friend of mine and you had us booked in to a room with a double bed. The result was we had to pay significantly more to stay than we were expecting.
The volume of the piano in the dining area could be reduced
Extremely fancy hotel with very nice service and breakfast for an adequate room rate
Receptionist was informative. Secure parking is a good feature The plat du jour at dinner was poor. The waitress took far too long to take our order. It took far too long to even get a drink, about 30 minutes
Very clean room, well appointed, friendly staff, working wifi! The food in the hotel restaurant was bland.
oui many dust on the tisseu of the bed.....
Other than pleasant staff doing their best in the circumstances, and an acceptable breakfast buffet there was nothing to commend this awful place! See above, filthy bathroom did not help!
It was on our route, was comfortable and affordable. We had parking and it was ideal as a one night stop on route to our holiday destination. We thought the directions as to how to find the hotel were not that clear.
(1) The Hotel was not located in the centre of Tabes, like it stated on the little map. It's located almost outside of the city. (2) Staff spoke hardly any English. (3) And Poor public transport connections to the centre.
Nice room with separate toilet in room, new shower, being renovated, close to town.
The owners were friendly and attentive. The room was modern and comfortable for a business stop over. The hotel is situated on a corner of the N21, a main road with lorries passing througout the night which made sleeping with the window open difficult.
Very helpfull proprieter , nice pool A little dark and old fashioned
Friendly if jokey service, good secure car parking, easily located in town centre. Quiet room at the back facing the nice garden and pool. Room a bit tired, breakfast a bit thin, some noise from someone running about the hotel in the evening.
Lovely room overlooking the garden with lots of space. The owner was charming and humoured me by allowing me to speak only in French. Excellent breakfast
Secure parking. Friendly owners. No tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Poor selection for breakfast.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking was private and secure. The room was spacious. Noise from a room above kept waking me up in the early hours. As I appeared to be the only guest I concluded it must have been the owners living quarters.
Location just opposite to an construction area.
Well kept hotel -clean and tidy.Very good meal in resturant.
The staff was really very nice. We had a light dinner at the hotel that was actually pretty good. The rooms are quite nice and the place seems new. There was ample free parking on-site. It was a little out of the way and hard to find, but that was probably because the directions given on Booking.com are wrong.
Clean but basic. Rooms too basic and not much room, especialy in the toilet/shower rooms. We were inconvenienced by our key fob not working one day and we had to phone for someone to let us into our room. We had to wait for around 30 minutes until they came out. The hotel is not manned 24/7 and this caused a problem at times if you wanted a drink etc.
300 meters from highway exit, clean however small. Restaurant looked very good. We had a promotion price .
Good location for visit to Lourdes and surrounding area. Small rooms but normal for Europe. Good restaurant at location with good prices.
Close to the road, very clean and neat, the staff very nice and friendly. Rooms, bath and WC too cramped, too small. With 2 persons and 2 pieces of luggage one could hardly move around the room. Ideal for 1 person. The facility could not be found by the navigation system.
Hotel was more spacious, and decor in restaurant and reception area was much better than others of comparable price. Room was clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. In spite of its very convenient location close to the motorway exit, the hotel was difficult to find by putting the address into my GPS. They have a huge advertising banner outside but the hotel's name is not very evident.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was good at a very reasonable price. The location is good for the mountains and the surrounding countryside.
The waiter/manager spoke good English and helped us with dinner
For two people to stay for 36 Euros I think is extremely good value.
ease of use for the moterway ,ease of euse to find and staff very freindley no internet use which they used to be
The hotel was clean but basic and staff friendly. The Wi Fi only works near the office and not in the rooms. Need to get a stronger router. You will need a car if staying here as it is on the edge of town.
The hotel was very clean.
easy from motorway
price small room
very clean and convenient location very very cramped space for breakfast in the morning
Decor tres fatigué. 3 etoiles limites.
Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff who spoke excellent English but who nevertheless indulged us in practicing our rudimentary French. A short stay, but very positive and trouble-free experience.
Good breakfast. I didn't feel it was a 3 star, more a 2 star. Decor awful (tastewise).
The Foch is a perenial favourite with the Brit's who visit the midi Pyrenees- Extremely homely and relaxed. The decor is dated but that is part of the charm especially fro people who have fond memories of earlier visits.
Great central location
Clean. Good location Definitely not worth 3stars. Too shabby
The front desk person there during the days was helpful. He recommended restaurants, gave me directions, helped me with the telephone, and looked for local numbers. I'd recommend requesting a room not on the street. The noise from the street was loud. And I would have liked air-conditioning.
Friendly, attentive staff, good location
Excellent location; simple, friendly place.
Well situated, friendly and helpful staff. Good value
close to centre of Tarbes Can be a little difficult to find
It was excellent value for money and I would stay there again
Great downtown location Old decor and furniture. Small room. Elevator does not stop at the level of all room. We had to move our heavy bags up and down half a level (very inconvenient).
We give 10/10 each time we stay here (This was the fourth visit!). The courtyard at the rear of the hotel was in bloom, & all plants were in tip-top condition - obviously cared for - very nice to see!
The location. Very near to the train station. Town centre is around 10-15 mins away.
Warm welcome by owner. Especially clean room. Quiet, cool courtyard room. Lots of local information and good suggestions on what to do in Tarbres. Loose toilet seat
It was on ground floor as requested. Toilet not flushing properly, the manager checked it as requested, but I repaired it.
nothing GPS would be very difficult, old equipment, smelling horrible inside rooms, small space, price is not correspond to quality
Very clean and modern hotel, and the facilites were more than I would expect from a hotel in this price range. Secure parking, and a good location. Although we didn't use it, free WiFi was available. The en-suite was 2 separate rooms, 1 toilet, and 1 bath / shower. Our room had views of the Pyreneese. Next to the hotel is a very good restaurant with a choice of set menu, and excellent wines.
Nice people, very helpful, speak a little english $10 taxi ride to get into center of Tarbe (or 30 minute walk)
not what was expected,it was on par with formula1, full of vans, car park space limited if you arrive late, no swimming pool as described,it is a local authority pool across the traffic island. The resaurant is attrocious, had a entrecote steak,or best describrd as grisle. did not eat there the next night just ordered a bottle of wine and when brought to table was told we could not drink it if we did not oder a meal, the guys a pratt.will never stay there again !!!!
Its location in the centre of the town, its proximity to easy parking and good restaurants, the friendly and helpful hotel manager.
to much noise during the night- dancing-disco's in the center until 6 .00
location and friendliness of staff. antiquated plumbing
The standard of the bedroom was reasonable, having been recently redecorated. The receptionist on arrival did not know how to operate the credit card machine. We therefore had to pay cash for the room.More importantly, we were kept awake all night by the noise from the disco next door and when we left the hotel at 7am to catch a train there were drunks lying in the street outside the hotel door
Big family rooms. Bathroom was to small and shower was in bad condition.rooms are very noisy .
Nothing the rooms, location, parking, finding the hotel was impossible, staff was out of it.
The friendness of the staff
well situated for touring the city and surrrounding areas
Very clean, very friendly and very good value for money Nothing
The manager was outstanding. He was friendly and helpful and got up at 4am to make breakfast for all the cyclists that were leaving early that morning for their event. The hotel was great, but i did not like the town Tarbes at all.
The proprietor was very courteous, friendly and helpful.
The hotel is good with excellent staff to take care. Bar and coffee shop is excellent.
Clean and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff Right on the main road although traffic noise was not a problem after 10 pm
The proprietor was charming and very helpful
Friendly and was expecting me
brilliant location to visit many of the main areas for walking and enjoy the beautiful pyrrenes. Bruno was always cheerful and so helpful each morning.
The weather was great. The location to the centre of Marciac meant you did not have to use your car all of the time if you wanted to go off site., The lakeside location and a nice walk around it was very pleasant. The pool was clean very well presented and was in an excellent location.,There were not to many properties, The staff were friendly and the problem that we incurred was sorted out, which Perhaps the short hours reception is open, proved unhelpful to us. We could not hire a bike for the afternoon only, it also this led to us staying a night in another hotel, however they did resolve the issue and took note our comments. This was reassuring.
Excellent location, very helpful staff, great idea to have appartments and chalets with the facilities of a hotel no kettle or cups large enough for making tea
The lake was a great sucess. The pool was shut, and this was the main reason we booked it because of the children! It should mention this somewhere. Also, the accomodation was very small, and we needed to upgrade, as two rooms didn't mean two bedrooms - slightly misleading.
