Located in the heart of picturesque Old Town Monterey, the historic Casa Munras Garden Hotel & Spa holds the distinction of being the first hotel in Monterey. True to its Spanish heritage, the hacienda-inspired design of this charming property embraces the California outdoors with relaxed, expansive grounds, creating a captivating environment for warm, welcoming accommodations. Whether traveling on business or enjoying a well-deserved vacation, the Casa Munras Garden Hotel & Spa offers a wide array of amenities to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
The service was great and accommodations were perfect for our needs. The fireplace was a nice touch :)
Central location, walking distance to downtown and nearby restaurants/shops. Easy parking.
Under construction (not noted prior to making reservation). Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Shower over tub did not drain appropriately.
Clean and comfortable beds, bathroom clean, service great. and close to the boardwalk, we walked everything therefore, did not have to pay for any parking down town. very nice, will stay again next year and whenever we go there. very nice
that we didnt stay longer!
I loved the look and feel of Casa Munras. Once we drove off the street, it felt like we were in a very private resort. The staff was very friendly and courteous, and we really liked using the Esteban Restaurant for some of our meals. We especially enjoyed the Happy Hour! The food was delicious, and the wait staff was very pleasant. We also took advantage of the spa while we were there, as they were running a very good massage/facial special. We probably had one of the best massages we have ever had and did not feel rushed or like one in a long line of customers that we have felt at other spas. The outdoor hot tub was a lovely, relaxing way to end our spa services. My daughter and I came to relax for a couple of days, and that is exactly what we were able to do here! We look forward to returning!
Good central location in area for what I come to do every year. Drop my daughter off at CSUMB and do some golfing. Walking distance to plenty of dining options besides restaurant on site. Small spa on site is nice. If you catch one of their many specials, the stay is a great value for the money.
Beds & pillows are a little too soft for my liking and parking is a little tight if you drive an SUV or minivan.
Great updated room
I liked the look of the place!! Very quaint and clean. Nice staff!! Great outside bar restaurant.
I didn't like that there was no air in our room. I wish the staff would have told us about the fan in the closet. That way we would not have been woken up by seagulls taking soo loud in the morning.
This hotel is overpriced for no apparent reason. The staff was rude and the room was disgusting!
Beautiful remodeled rooms loved the look and feel of everything . Super comfortable bed
The hotel is old and you can hear every footstep every loud conversation every television .. The walls must be paper thin. We had to move rooms for this very reason and it turns out it wasn't just noisy people above us it's just very loud in genera . My advice would be to stay on the second floor if you can. But not super relaxing for this very reason
I liked the comfort of the bed and room as well as the in-house bar.
It was expensive.
This is a great place. The rooms are well appointed and ours was convenient facing the pool. The condition of the room was great and overall the facilities were well kept up and in accordance with the upscale feeling of the place. The pool was great, clean and comfortable. The location of the facility is central to Monteray and pleasantly away from the tourist trappings of the wharf and Cannery Row. A very convenient bike trail connects Monteray and Pacific Grove and is the best way to see the sites. We definitely recommend this lodging and will look for it upon each visit.
The rooms propagate sound more than desirable. This may be due to ours being able to be shared with one next door. Otherwise no complaints!
Waitress at our restaurant in the morning for breakfast was extremely informative really understood her food and what was in them and very understanding of dietary conditions.
There seemed to be some confusion about the third-party payment, and how long our stay was scheduled for.
The Lumina Day Spa massage and facial was awesome!
