Interesting building with real history. Breakfast served in spectacular cloistered courtyard. Good location for access to major sights in old city.
Excellent view from room window Rather noisy from next room probably due to a connecting door
The size of room, historic nature of the hotel, and staff. Breakfast is weak.
An enormous old cloister located right at the edge of the area pedonale. Room overlooking the local countryside. Nice staff, good rate. Bathroom door opened out -- a small point until you try to live with it -- what you get when you convert a cloister into a hotel.
The historical aspect of the origins of Il Chiostro Del Carmine are wonderful and very much in keeping with being in Siena which is a town steeped in history and beautiful buildings. The staff were all very charming and helpful making our stay very special and our visit to Siena a very positive one.
The location was perfect. Even had near-by parking that was inexpensive. Breakfast was amazing and the view at breakfast - incredible! Loved the story behind the hotel and our room was charming and very comfortable. The staff was excellent and very helpful. No lift, just stairs.
It is in an ideal location and is full of character nothing
Very pleasant experience to stay in an ex-monastery; has kept a lot of its authenticity. Impressive view from the superior rooms over the surroundings south of the city. Although at the edge of the old city, still very close to city centre. WIFI did not reach to the last room (with the great view) so had to sit in the hall for a connection. Room was on 2nd floor at the end of the hall and there is no elevator. Older people should take this in consideration when they book.
We had a bueatiful view, the staff was great. It was a little warm. We stayed there on the 10th of May, and they don't turn on the AC until the 15th.
very nice hotel something diferent than normal hotels excellent hospitality ,location .
The location-centrally located. The facility was immaculate and the staff was very helpful.
Loved the size and character - it was huge! We only stayed for one night, but we could have stayed for a week. Great location close to Il Campo and lots of good restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast was great - fresh cappuccinos and all! There was not a thing I did not like :)
Breakfast was great. The host was kind and business like and they were good about letting us leave our bags for a bit. Also I left something behind and they were good about sending it to me. I don't have anything
Closest B&B to my daughter's place at a reasonable price. N/A
New facilities, Clean room, abundant food at the breakfast table! Spacious room too! The distance! we had to drag our luggages up hill from the train station to the hotel.
The room and bathroom were both very clean and modern. The staff were excellent and incredibly helpful. The breakfast was huge with plenty of selection. Location was great, just across the road from the city walls and a 15 walk to the very centre. They can organise a discount for a parking garage 5 min away. I would recommend this B&B and definitely stay here again.
Spotlessly clean, warm, excellent position, it provided the exact needs for our visit to Sienna. A very basic breakfast
Very friendly staff, good location. Perfect place for students. No parking, only in the neighbourhood (10EUR/day)
Very well located, friendly staff, good breakfast and very new
The rooms and facilities were brand new, the buffet breakfast was good, and there was free wireless internet!!
Nice B&B and not far from old town around 1 km. Good breakfast. no free wifi.
Was easy to find and very close to the city center. Also the breakfast was more than fair and there was great variety of dishes. The hotel morning stuff was very kind and patience. Great location fo fair price. I did enjoy my staying. Air conditioning didn\t work. When we got there, the woman that received us did not have a clue of what to do in the city and told us "there is nothing to see here in the city". However the next morning the stuff gave us great information about the all area with maps. On the web site it said free parking for at the location which was not true since it is a no parking zone during the day.
Nice location, staff was friendly, room was clean. Thought the cost was expensive and should have been priced less. Wireless internet did not reach our room. Breakfast was okay, not great.
The appartment was very spacious, clean and in great location. Being able to access a lovely courtyard was a bonus in this busy city. Walter our contact was extremely helpful and very knowledgable.
well located. Very noisy street with drunk people chatting all the night.
Good central location. Clean and comfortable room. Vouchers for breakfast to use at good cafes nearby. Hotel staff recommended excellent places to eat in the evenings.
Very good location. Just a few steps from Duomo and Il Campo. Spacious room with wide windows , nice and comforable bahtroom. Variety in breakfas,t served in a cafe right next to the hotel. The kichenette was a great idea. You could have fresh espresso at any time. Since there is no nigth recepsionist it should at least have a vending machine for water beverages snacks etc.
Staff were very helpful with information about Siena. Good base to explore Tuscany.
Location is really good and the B&B is easy to reach. The receptionist speaks very good English and recommended us excellent restaurants! The room we stayed in was big and comfortable.
Gabriela and her sister were so very nice and helpful, always with big smiles. The breakfast had many selections from cereals, fruits, breads, pastries, cheese, bacon, eggs and espresso and americano coffee as requested. Breakfast area could only accommodate 4 to 5 tables so Gabriela staggered breakfast times for guests. The bathroom was very small but no big deal to us.
Great location for Tuscany and day trips to Pisa or Florence etc.
Excellent staff,rooms were very comfortable.
This was our favorite hotel of a 3 week trip. Easy to find, incredible views from our room. The rooms by the breakfast area might be noisy in the morning, but our room upstairs was spacious and quiet. Great shower. Great hosts. Nice breakfast. It was an all-around perfect stay.
Efficient, friendly and informative staff. They made us feel really welcome and went out of their way to help. Little bit far away from centre and a little bit of traffic noise from dual carriage way, but the buses were very good, taxis expensive though.
The facilities were lovely and the owners were extremely gracious and helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer!
The room was absolutely lovely and everyone there was helpful and friendly. The place was hard to find
Very welcoming and an excellent location for our purposes. We could park the car and easily take a bus into Siena. Gabriella was very helpful about suggesting places to eat.
an exceptional stay in a lovely eighteenth century typical Tuscan farmhouse, The warm welcome and superb breakfast were an added delight.
We were not at the hotel very much except to eat breakfast and sleep, but the hotel owner was extremely helpful with information about the city and allowed us to store luggage after our stay and called us a taxi. She was absolutely adorable. No. It was extremely clean and welcoming. Everything in the room and restroom were first class and new. It was close to the bus stop to go into the city.
Location. Confusion over booking, breakfast limited in space and range.
its location poor breakfast
It is a very convenient place to stay due to its prossimity to the Il Campo and the Duomo. The staff is very polite. Price is OK and confortable clean bed. We stayed in a room with a very small bathroom, like one square meter, but for one night it was OK. There was some noise in the morning while breakfast was being prepared.
Very nice people, very friendly, and very polite. The room is very nice, clean and quiet, the price is also good. Maybe the bathroom can be better, bigger and with more light, but it was more than okay for us.
Our accommodation was upgraded for us, and we were very pleased to have extra room and facilities, as our daughter had travelled from London to spend some time with us in Siena. We appreciated the personal service given to us, and enjoyed our stay very much.
interior is perfect, the stuff is very friendly- a girl came at 6.30 specially for us to make breakfast. The bathroom is wonderful- big, modern and clean. The floor is made from stone and in October it was extremely cold! The location of the room was not very good- the B&B Siena In Centro is not a hotel, you just register there and after it the stuff sees you to the place you will live, but they can do it only between 3 and 7 pm, the check-in is not convenient
Run by a very friendly, helpful family The facilities are split over 2 sites, reception is at number 18 (not 19 as advertised on the website). Hard to find without a good map. But worth it
1) location: very close and convenient to all major sights. 2) character/history of hotel residence, the fact that it was supposed to have a more intimate feel about it, being owned and run by a family. 3) you could self - cater to some extent, as there were kitchen facilities. 1) my room - it was supposed to be a double room for single use, but the single bed was a converted sofa, with no room for a double bed (indicates the smallness of the room) and the bathroom was very cramped. 2) My friend was accused of soiling the mattress of the bed in his room; he was even asked to pay for a new mattress. However, the accusation was entirely untrue. 3) Poor breakfast
The hospitality of the owners and the suggestions for restaurant-highlights
The hotel staff were very professional, especially Michelle and Hazel.
The check-in time is until 20:00. I was late because transferring in Tuscany by bus. The reception lady, Maria Luisa, is kind to leave me the message and came to me while 22:30. She is friendly. The house is very comfortable and you can have very good view from the balcony. It should be NO. 1 in Siena.
Quality of room, service, and and superb view
Location (with view), Breakfast, Bar area, Free internet
the excellent view , the free internet in the room The hotel reception closes at 8 P.M. It reopents at 7 AM . So after 8 p.m no one of the hotel's staff is in . So you are alone in the hotel. This made us feel a bit unsecured. To enter the hotel after 8 PM you have to enter a code in the hotel's main door
Beautiful terrace for breakfast with a panoramic view of the city. Attractive room with a comfortable bed. There is no one on the premises in the evening. I needed a blanket and had to call someone at their home to come over to get one, which they did promptly.
The very warm welcome and the relaxed informal style, it felt like being at home, we rate the service very highly. The attention to detail was excellent, the breakfast choice was superb and to be able to sit out on a private balcony to have breakfast with a view of the city and the Duomo was a delight. When returning to Siena we will definitely use the hotel again.
good location and great staff. rooms are small for the price. rooms are small
This hotel is really one of the nicest ever seen. What a location, what a views! /
A beautiful quaint hotel in a well located area with great staff!
hotel staff were very helpful room a little stuffy.
The staff. They were so kind, cheerful, courteous and very helpful. Nothing.
Free access to tye internet. Quiet room on the parking lot side of the hotel. Acces to busses to go into Sienna Town. Easy parking, free. No
Clean bathroom Room was basically underground... had window, but it was a window well of about 4 feet deep.
Free internet access Smal bathroom
