The friendly staff, the cleanliness of rooms and the design. It was also very quite with no noise in the day or night. The food was really great as well. One of the best hotels and best value hotels we have stayed in in Spain. No everything was great.
The convenience of being near to train station and therefore Barcelona without having to deal with the heavy traffic in Barcelona. Easy walk to station with interesting shopping on the way. Apart from not getting a bed for my 13 year old - all was good.
Cheap for GSM tradeshow The Taxi to the show is 25 Euros one way. There is a train 15 minutes walk but never took it.
No parking, air conditioning was not working, needed to change room.
Nice staff and nice design Breakfast far below the usual 4star level in Spain, no choice of fresh fruit. The shower was always overfloating to the room, very ennoying. Situation rather noisy next to high way.
Its new. Plus the location. it is 15 mins walk to the train station to go to center of barcelona,. and also 10 mins walk to the beach, on the way , you can see many stores. I like the fact that its not in barcelona center. away from the noise. but still convenient for both car and walking. its 10 mins ride to center if use a car. none
Design is excellent! Good location. close to beach and not far from Barcelona
Very nice and clean room. Friendly, english speaking staff. No disturbing noise at all was heard during our stay.
Very polite hotel staff, free internet and classy room. Veery goooodaa ;)
the closeness of the sea
I booked room with double bed but when I entered the room there were 2 single beds. Staff said double in Spain means 2 beds. Anyway they changed the room. There were no hair dryer and second blanket in the room but you can ask for them at the reception. There was no switch for heating so we could not turn on the heating.
Service was great, hotell staff was really kind and they helped us whenever we asked.I would choose the same hotel if I go to badalona again
Hotel staff was very friendly, near to Barcelona There was railway between the hotel and beach.
The location is very good - just some metres from the beach. And very good connection to Barcelona by train.
t was exactly what I had expected. The rooms were just as specified. Excellent
The greatest thing about this hotel is its location - it is only a couple of minutes from the Badalona station, and the centre of Barcelona is about 20 minutes by train. However our stay was not complication free (the air condition unit was broken first night), the reparation was made as soon as possible and the compensation was offered.
The view The train
I liked the amazing view from our balcony and your beds. They are really comfortable. There was smell of sewage and there were a lot of ants in our room.
the rooms were excellent
It was very easy and very cheap to get into and out of Barcelona on the train/metro although the trains in the evening were only once an hour. The breakfasts were very good and they had a good menu du Jour in the evening. The hotel was spotless and good quality fittings everywhere. There is an excellent supermarket nearby and we used the mini bar to store our stuff without any complaints from the hotel. Parking was easy right outside the hotel or under cover nearby. There was not a convenient socket near a mirror for my hair stuff. The lighting was very subdued for reading. Take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as the station is very near. The restaurant is closed at weekends and there are only 2 cafe/bars both of which allow smoking inside.
friendly staff, very welcoming Perhaps the chice of breakfast
Very good.. Why not free cold water on this hotel, like hotel Maritime in Barcelona 4 stars ?
Magnifique, la liste est longue : - breakfast for 4 euros possible - possibility to leave the car face the hotel - the water is treated - the mirror in the bathroom has a stuff again the moisture - hotel at 20 min from center by car directly with autoroute - air conditioning good and free, procure a good smell in the room - the window can not be open at first but you can ask for a pass at the welcome - personals for breakfast and room 300% nice at the welcome 60% 100% depending on the person - 2 dustbin on the room - useful sponge 4 shower - hair dryer - automatic water closet - gym room - the swimming pool is not too big but I realy like it a much it's very class super clean and calme and too class - internet 4 free - printer 4 free. Hotel at 20~25 min from center by car directly with autoroute - the window can not be open at first but you can ask for a pass at the welcome - you can hear when some one leave the room or enter ------------------------- other positive point there is a shopping place next to the hotel - Free parking possible
The hotel is recent and modern. The restaurant is good. Difficult to find. The map in Via Michelin and Bookings points to a wrong city (Sta Perpetua). On top of this the streets around the hotel are all one way, you can turn around the hotel before finding it. The hotel is actually joint with the supermarket PUNT, so better follow this direction. The car park is shared with Punt, 10 euro/night.
Het erg fris en schoon. En het personeel is zeer goed. Er zou gratis wifi zijn in het hotel, het lukten ons alleen niet om daar gebruik van te maken i.v.m. verkeerde gegevens op onze kamer.
the bed room and bathroom were large The lack of an iron/ironing board was unfortunate
Nice room It is not finished yet. No access to pool. No iron or ironing board in hotel. Gym is 3 machines. Menu in restaurant is limited.
an excellent hotel. Beautiful, comfortable rooms. Good staff. Location on 3 out of 5. The second time I stop in the future, if you plan to arrive in Barcelona. Select this hotel. ---
quiet location. good views over to vineyard slopes. great evening meal. steep drive down to parking area, but not a big issue.
An nice boutique hotel - very good service, excellent ability in several languages, great cuisine, quiet pastoral setting near large urban area all amenities without urban noises and hassles. The road off hte main road A5002, was a suprise- we did not think any hotel off this washed out road was possible, but we continued and were delighted to discover Porta d'Alella perched on a hillside!
Location, staff and quality of food was very good
Staff very friendly and understanding, unfortunately I expected more of this hotel and hence my comments with regards to the negative sides of the hotel description. The images on booking.com misrepresent the rooms in reality. All in all a little dissapointed. Hotel offered to change the room for a similar one as shown in the images.
Nice location, personalized service Not for business. Wireless in the room goes on-off. gsm reach limited too. Bfast could have some choice (fixed menu)
I liked the kindliness of the staff, the simple, but confortable room, the good location of the hotel (outside the downtown, but 15 minutes from there by metro) mainly the language problem, they don't speak any language, exept their native language, The other problem was the noise on this front of hotel (the hotel locates too close a motorway flyover)
AC installations were swithcing off automatically after 1 or 2 hours. I think for the economy of energy.
close to metro station, very friendly, helpful staff breakfast- there is no big variety of choice
Your hospitality, friendly and family-like atmosphere and communication. Englishspeaking staff. Nothing we did not like.(you cannot do anything about the high-way noise). But very comfortable that there always is one of the staff who is able to understand and speak a little english.
Overall the hotel was nice to live in and the staff were friendly. It's also in a good location close to Barcelona. Most of the staff can't speak English and sometimes ignore you if they don't understand. Also there isn't a good selection for breakfast they only offer you some toast or a croissant with some tea or coffee. No eggs or cereal!! Its would have been good if they had a menu in multiple language so it is easier for customers to order. They can't provide you with lunch or dinner either because they don't have a chef. During the time that I was there for two days we didn't have any hot water because of some gas problems in the area. I think the hotel should have made some alternative arrangement while they sorted this problem.
lovely area, beach few minutes away, very spanish. it was quite cold inside the hotel
Good location but the room is too small!
Despite language issues, very friendly and helpful. Good value, and I expect to go back again. EXTREMELY close to the Sunday and Tuesday market. Less than 1km from a very clean and comfortable beach - Forget Barcelonta beach with pollution, building works, and hard sand. Reasonably priced hotel bar. Double glazed, Air con, Tv in each room. 3 blocks from the Metro system. Buy the 5 day pass if you're there for a while. Covers almost all transport. Had no concerns about the staff, for the safety of money or valuables left in the hotel room. Had a minor problem with the room at the start, from a previous tenant breaking a lock, would have taken an hour to correct, changed rooms with no hassle. Internet access is too expensive. The rooms have single beds only. A double is just two singles pushed together.
liked the location from the venue CCIB,also well connected by tube ,train, tram, bus
Right in the older center of Badalona. Simple, actually not a real hotel and in fact more of a hostal of which some rooms have inroom bathing facilaties. Very cordial desk people, but you need to understand and speak some spanish. Parking € 8 a day right next door in the yard. Just a stroll away from center, shops, restaurants, beach, train station etc. Only 20 min train from Barcelona P.za Catalunya. Free wireless internet (only in lobby but signal does not reach rooms). But not a place to stay more than 2 days. Wireless internet does not reach in the room. NO breakfast, but so close to one of many cafés so not a big problem. Rooms and bathroom could do with more heating.
The best is place of the hostel. It's situated near the sea in suburb of Barcelona. The price is also intresting. Staff doesn't know English.
Friendly staff, simple and affordable room, lots of shopping nearby (just go toward the beach) and a large grocery store, beach in walking distance. I stayed in a single with a shared bath: there is a sink in the room you can use for brushing your teeth and things. Shared bathroom is fine for a quick shower and toilet use. Nice location just outside the city. Very thin walls.. I slept with earplugs in and I still woke up my neighbor's evening friend. A bit of a walk to the metro, wouldn't recommend it if you're wanting to do a lot of Barcelona sight-seeing.
It was central, and friendly staff. Very basic but value for money. Clean and reasonably comfortable. Nice sun terrace. There was no internet connection except in the front hall where the seating was limited and uncomfortable. It was also rather noisy throughout the hotel
convenient location (5 mine to the subway 20 minutes to the center of Barcelona). good service for the price. thin walls (can hear the TV sound from next room), shared bathroom, staff does not speak English
Friendly stuff, helpfull, hotel close to a see, i the center of small city (a lot of shops etc available, small really clear room Bad wifi quality, thin walls :)
i thought it was okey, good price with a smal breakfast in the price, near to the beach and metro station, far to the bathroom,
Friendly staff, good location, value for money. Functional distance from room to bathroom and toilet
Remember this is a hostel not a 5* hotel. Basic facilities but convenient for the town centre via the excellent transport system. Friendly people but they left you alone if you wanted privacy. Most important - receptionists are on the wavelength of the traveller. Unusual to have breakfast without plates so you had to eat rolls off a napkin. That's only minor.
There was a lot to like about the Hostel. The fact it was almost directly opposite a tube-station on a line which also goes to the centre made it the perfect compromise between quiet surroundings and accessibility to the city. The staff welcomed us when I arrived and gave us the full lowdown on surrounding businesses if we did not want to venture into the city at any one time. Going to the beach there was utterly brilliant, it was little used but had a life-guard right there, and the sea was beautilful. The twin-room was basically furnished but it had ample storage, the bed was really comfy and the air conditioning worked well which was a relief. The en-suite was also good. A very minor point but the shower seemed to work on a timed-basis, which was a little inconvenient, but I can see how it suit the dormed rooms, if not the two-person ones!
It was right across the street from a metro/subway station and not too far from the beach. The noisiness of the people at night. People seemed to stay up all night. It was like living in a college dorm with activity at all hours. We had people who were staying at the hostel sitting on the sidewalk in front of the hotel playing music and talking until 4am. We had to leave at 6am the next morning so we did not get any sleep that night.
The comfort, the ease of acces to the train station and the beach. The buffet breakfast had few options and hasn't change at all for 10 days.
nice hotel staff, very helpful and courteous far too noisy due to the main road in front of the hotel
only that location . realy i did not like the hotel at all bucause the pictures that i saw at the net are not the same in the hotel which was so bad to me and my family .
The Hotel front is main road very busy road and nise too mach.
big balcony with sea views (there is only two rooms with big balcony). beach and trainstation was near. nice little hotel. room furnitures was old. breakfast was boring and same everyday.
No bar or restaurant also building work going on at the hotel and no mention of this at the time of booking. Got charged €6 day for parking my car as well.but I think this nshould be free if you are stayingn at the hotel. Breakfast very limited and the same wouls have bben nice to have some variation.
Nice, decent room with personal bathroom, fridge, tv and wi-fi. The market place is under your window, perfect for daily fresh food and fruits. The metro station is also very close, just three minutes walking, and the center is some twenty minutes away. The hostal stuff is very warm and friendly, including the menager! The renovation is underway, not a minus, because it will be a huge benefit for the hostal, but it was a bit unexpected. The good news: they don't start before 8 A.M.
Friendly and helpful staff, rooms are clean and well kept.
Clean room, free internet, nice staff, acceptable price Tight parking place, for about 6 cars.
Our experience was acceptable for the money. The rooms had a very clean and modern design but sacrificed functionality in some sorts (i.e. placing the toilet paper holder right next to a very thin shower curtain). Free internet was offered but was not wireless. The neighboring areas were a little shady which made walking to the train a little unnerving at night. They offer parking but it is a very tiny lot and is limited to fewer than five spaces. All in all, we got exactly what we paid for. The hotel is not in Barcelona but is still a train ride away. I would still recommend this hotel for budget travelers who need an overnight stay but not for anyone looking more than 1 to 2 nights.
It was clean and functional for a trip to Barcelona as train ride into centre was only 20 minutes. Bit difficult to find so directions from station or a better local map would be useful.
Everything was absolutely perfect and highly commendable. La Llagosta is itself a great place, but the hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the station, and the train will get you into the centre of Barcelona in just 20 minutes. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. Excellent! There wasn't anything I didn't like
Very private came & went as we pleased with no problems at all.
The room was big. Nice flatscreen TV.
