Nice hotel with "personal and historical atmosphere". Very good restaurant. Breakfast walk to Jean d'Arc tower to be emphasised Soundproofing btw rooms and corridor could have been better
We stayed here en route to, and then again on the way back from, a trip down to the South West French coast and we loved it! The room was more than big and comfortable enough for my wife and I and our two kids, in fact it was more like a suite! And at €88 euro's for the whole family you can't beat it really. Lovely little village, full of character, all very friendly and cosy and welcoming personal service, we would definately go back. Pool wasn't open when we were there but we weren't that bothered. Was a bit more of a detour from the motorway than we expected but it was well worth a 15 minute drive it to stay somewhere quiet with a bit of character rather than a chain hotel by the side of the motorway. Restaurant looked very nice but was a bit pricey for our stopover budget so we found a nice little place across the road and it was nice to get out and explore the village a bit anyway.
Small but lovely warm swimmimg pool.
The staff were very freindly and the food in the restaurant superb. The rooms were comfortable but lacked air conditioning which made them very warm.
Convenient location in town centre. Pleasant bar area. Large, clean and comfortable room. Very quiet at night
friendly and helpful
Just a one night stop over for myself with wife clare and three children secure car parking good location. We enjoyed the swiming pool after 12 hours on the road, very good meal good value would use this hotel again
very pleasant and helpful staff, and an attractive building set within a small town
Wonderful, quaint small hotel. Incredible food. Friendly staff, and did I mention the food......wow Well, our room while clean and neat, was a bit shabby. But we Americans seem to like everything new. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, or to stay there again.
Good size comfortable room.Pleasant location. mold on shower tiles
Clean, comfortable with excellent food. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Excellent location with easy access to local attractions. Our room was spacious, spotless and, at Euro 105/night, most reasonably priced. The food, service and ambiance in the restaurant were all first class. The village setting was charming and much enjoyed by ourselves and our dog. In sum, a great small country hotel in every respect. Nothing at all!
The restaurant was perfect! And delicious! Compared to the restaruant the hotel room was ordinary.
nice hotel, very nice spacious room, poor common rest areas, staff less than friendly, parking excellent, location alittle remote, did not have dinner there because of staff and language diffficulties staff attitude
Our suite was very comfortable and spacious and the hotel deserves its inclusion in the 'Relais de Silence' brochure. Whilst the restaurant is certainly smart and the food undoubtedly well-cooked and presented, the choice is from 3 fixed price menus, all dominated by fish. The only meat choices were quail and sweetbreads, which are not to everyone's taste.
The ambience was excellent. The evening meal was absolutely delicious and the service was pleasant and effecient.Keep the chef! No.
very good location ,exelent food ,clean and good service no
Very quite, cleanness, beautiful nature Would be nice if there was a bathtub
Very quite and peacefull stay. Would use this hotel again. No Complaints.
Comfortable, good bathroom, adequate space. Courteous reception. On-site parking fine. Good location very near historic center. Hard to know where to park when arriving.
Staff were very pleasant, breakfast was good.Decor is probably best described as being "mixed styles";overall a pleasant experience.
Good option value-for-the-money-wise.
location 1st room givin was very poor
Nice hotel in very good location. Short walk to shops & bars in lovely part of old town. We were able to park off the road in a large garage at the rear which was very convenient.
Almost nothing maybe the breakfast This hotel has not to be according me a three star due to a smal room and poor decoration
Good reception, easy parking, well located. Breakfast was fine and all worked very well.
Location was excellent & room size good. What is it with a certain type of French hotel and the en suite wc? This was another one where the wc is separate in a tiny room right next to the bed with difficulty closing the door due to knees in the way.
This hotel is located on the river, right across from the old city center. It's a 5-minute walk to everything. The place is a normal, clean 3-star French hotel. The staff were very pleasant, and their suggestions of things to see guided us to some out-of-the-ordinary events. No complaints at all.
Friendly staff and private parking No mention that a code was needed to get into the hotel late in the evening
The room was good size and very clean with nice colours; there is no door between the bathroom and the room- it makes it a little special, very nice shower. No air conditioning. Some rooms with no door between the toilet and the room....yaky , yaky yak. The staff - quite OK.
The hotel was clean and roomy, well located and the staff were very helpful. No air conditioning was very dissappointing.
Moe than adequate french country hotel - no aircon so might be hot in august - bar downstairs so sleeping with open window less good option - good honest food, only problem was we had early start and they wouldnt serve breakfast for us early - in the light of what passes for service in france this is pretty minor!!!!
Excellent location in the historic center, quite noiseless in the night.
goood room, large bathroom, excellent restaurant in trhe hotel, hotel garage available
Hotel is stylish with a nice relaxed atmosphere and good food Rooms are baking hot as no windows in upper mezanine levels and no air conditioning - do not stay in these rooms in the summer!
We travel quite a bit. Booked two rooms. This was a very nice hotel. Thought at first that the small room was ours since in was large, until we got the the second room which was larger yet...dinning table area, desk area smartly designed to allow expanding surface area. Large bed was very comfortable, not rock hard or too soft. Food was excellant, as was the presentation....Price was quite fair.. some of the best meals in France, nice Chief is onsite and took a personal interest in our dinning.....Rooms were very up todate, kitchen..fully stocked..plates glassware.. with mini frig, dishwasher, microwave,cooktop... bath, new tower shower stall..walkin and roomy, hairdryers, closet for your personal items, web access... best with a network cable (available at the desk) or wireless and sound proof..windows, doors and hall door way design ( in compartments). Best rooms at the top have a nice view of the castle. Town was very nice, with shops and sites such as the old castle and river walks, but at about 7pm it can become quite closed up, best to be out and about early. Wish this owner had more hotels under his control in France because I would stay in them !! not a thing. I will stay there again. Excellant for both business or family travel.
very friendly and helpful staff, excellent resturaunt, room facilities very good and great hotel decor.
Good food, well served. Difficult to find even with Sat/nav. front door is not in the named street. Parking difficult - about 100 metres away - round a one way system virtually no parking outside hotel to unload/load luggage. Adequate but barely three star. no air conditioning.
The staff were friendly and the breakfast was fine The room was too small for a family. The layout was awful and there was hardly room to swing a cat. Truly a budget experience.
It was a good choice for an overnight stay not really
convenience to airport and town
We had 2 rooms as travelling with 2 teenage offspring. I x double which was clean and comfortable - no problems. SEE BELOW The other unfortunately did not match expectations. Under impression we were booking 2 singles from website info but when arrived seemed to be double with bunk over the top which was not appropriate for needs of two semi-adult siblings. This certainly was not clean like the other room and smelt heavily of smoking/BO and also suspect stains on the walls.
ease of use
room warm and plenty of hot water non smoking room, but bed top sheet smelt of smoke. room not sound proofed could hear people in the rooms above and both sides
good breakfast, cumfy rooms,
The room was incredibly hot but looked ok. It was only when I went to get into bed that I saw that the sheets had not been changed from the previous user, leaving me with crinkled sheets, and worse, body hair. At 11 at night there are no staff on site, so I had the worst night's sleep ever, on top of the bed. Still waiting for a refund.
convenient room smelt badly of cigarette smoke
Good rooms, good beds, good staff.
Dining Good for the price
The staff were very hospitable and the hotel very "homely". No! Although the decor was a bit "tired", th value for money was excellent.
Conveniently located in centre of nice town, restaurants nearby, and good countryside within easy reach.Characterful hotel, just as we remember France of old. Very friendly and welcoming owners. No problems
The location, the area and the countryside, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was extremely good
Hotel owner speaks perfect English! She is nice and friendly and will help in any case, if she can. I'm glad to see what a big work this family does to make this place even more nice.
The hotel staff was wonderful. Parking was easy. The restaurant was great. Overall it was a great value for the money in a very cute little town. The room smelled a bit of smoke. Also, we were there in the off season (late November) so the desk was not open 24 hours... in fact nothing was. They opened the restaurant only when we requested it. We had to have the door codes and the cell phone number of the receptionist to call for service. It wasn't really a bad thing but a bit unusual and may be difficult for travelers in the off season who don't speak French.
nothing do not stay here, avoid it at all costs. I had 5 flea bites when I left!! Surly staff, rubbish hotel
The shower did not have a shower curtain.
closeness to the airport and well lighted as i arrived at night. The room smelled very badly of smoke as if only recently vacated by a smoker. Very unpleasant for a life long non-smoker. However, bed linen was immaculate and didn't smell of smoke. Also could not operate the shutter on the window. Otherwise good.
A very basic facility for overnight stay. Great value for money. Washing/shower could be improved
The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, there was a modern, flat-screen TNT-equipped television and a separate shower / toilet. It was also cheaper than the nearby Etap hotel but provided a similar level of comfort.
Left personel instructions as the hotel was not stffed that day. Shower room too small - no shower curtain.
The room was clean and the toilet was clean as well. Everything was in French, even the letter left at the automated reception was in Frech and no translation in English. Check out time on the webiste was 11:00 to 12:00 however the policy in the hotel was strictly 11:30. Also there was a manual in the hotel for wireless internet settings, all in French. I was not able to use the internet as there was no translation in English.
Cheap and en route to destination, General cleanliness in rooms poor, old decor and stale atmosphere. Main reception and breakfast area cleaner and nicer.
Need to have air conditioning in the rooms and some interconnecting for families.
William, the manager there was excellent and most most helpful to us , I was very impressed with his efficiency and initiative thinking . It was a very convieinent location being a flight traveller and lots of good things about it . One of us had an accident on the first night , which resulted in wanting to seek emergency services but I could not find a phone number , this could have been a prob
