clean and tidy, it was also easy to get to did not like the bolster type pillow, the shower had no bracket to hold the head. this made it difficult to have a shower.
Staff had little english, but went out of their way to help us. Good restaurant nearby. N/A
friendly staff and service, very helpful
Clean Well attended for Cleaning/Towels/Bedding (Done Daily) Good Continental Breakfast served in room Good Shower Bathroom rather cramped, but otherwise no complaints
Very friendly staff. Great breakfast served in the room. Very close to restaurant for all budgets. We were there for 2cv Rally and the hotel was a really nice surprise!!! The bathrooms had too little room.. Showers were handheld.
Although it wasn't ideal to meet our desire for a city trip, it would be convenient for motorway users. The bathrooms are fibreglass and feel plasticky. Everything is tiny and parking lot noise woke us up frequently.
Easy accessable from the highway. For that room rate one should not expect too much of comfort. Cleanliness of the room let a lot to desire. I had spiders on the walls and some dead insects in front of the bed on the floor. Shutters at window did not work. Internet connection weak and at very slow speed, often only at 2MB.
Easy to access once we had found it. We came for the Circuit de Remparts.
The air-conditioning. Depressing room. Too small. Could not wait to leave. Only place I have ever stayed where the guests were warned that they would be charged for any linens that they took from the room.
I was travelling from Disney Resort to Portugal. I made the booking without any information about it. It was an experience.
handy, overnight stop on our trip from spain to ferry port
The that the room was clean. Apart from the cleanliness,it was an exact replica of the F1 at Bordeaux. There was only about 12 inches between the end of the bed and the wall. This would cause any reasonably tall person to knock their head or shoulder on the coat rack. The shower must have been designed for stick insects and the best way to use the toilet was to reverse in.! The walls were paper thin and sleep was impossible due to unruly kids and loudmouthed adults. If any body expects a night's sleep, my advice is go somewhere else.
ease of access toilet and shoer areas a bit on the cramped side
I picked Angouleme as a convenient overnight stop on my way to Ouistreham Ferry Port. The hotel was ideally situated
The room was comfortable and very warm in the cold weather. The Wi-fi is very useful. The notice stating 'No guard' makes it obvious to thieves that there is no security.
Staying in what was obviously a genuinely old chateau. Surroundings were quiet and peaceful. Repro furniture in our room was disappointing. Pictures in the room were of English Castles and Stately homes, not French similar. We found this very odd.
Beautiful decor, all staff very friendly and helpful, very relaxing and pleasant stay, food excellent Nothing
Total relaxation and excellent food. Personal, friendly attention.
Excellent hotel staff Wonderful food Brilliant Room Gorgeous Chateau Flies by the pool was about the only bad thing we could say!
Excellent food, luxurious room, and a very welcoming and relaxing atmoshere. We will definitely stay again for a longer period. This is our second time at the hotel and the experience was everything we were looking for. The entire staff were efficient and very friendly. Nothing!!!!
The peacefulness, the pool, and the food. Also it was interesting that none of the staff tried to communicate with us in English after I introduced myself in French.
clean room; en suite; restaurant; environment; pool room a bit on the small side; breakfast - not much food left by the time we arrived for breakfast-food drink came eventually - but we had to ask
The staff members at the hotel are very friendly and helpful and the country scenery is very relaxing.
Welcoming owner who spoke English well, and who was very helpful. My room was upgraded because of the limited number of guests staying at the time. Breakfast variety was good. Restaurant staff were a little uninterested. Evening meal was very ordinary.
Swimming pool. Food was expensive, location poor in the middle of nowhere
Country atmosphere, very quiet mostly, very scenic, good restaurant For an english person not speaking much french, staff had little english
Its location The fantastically uncomfortable beds and the bed bugs that lived in them
Swimming pool lovely. Good food. Room had terrace with chairs good. Lovely setting. Pre-dinner drinks expensive, breakfast pricey and service at breakfast was poor (although excellent in the evening). Good dog walk and good for couples, less so for families.
The outlook from the restaurant to the lake is lovely, parking felt secure and the pool seemed clean and well maintained. It is easy to find from local major roads and yet a quiet and peaceful country environment. I thought the food overpriced for its quality and the menue limited, as it is in the country there is no alternative dining venue on the doorstep, which might be a problem if one was staying for a longer period.
The owner, his wife and son are friendly, effficient and are humorous. It is a simple country hotel with good basic food at a good price. The rooms are simply furnished and are comfortable. Would happily stay again.
We stayed one night, clean, quiet, comfortable.
