the breakfast is fantastic **** the drinks were pricey ,bar was shut sunday evening
this is a middle level hotel that attracts a lot of tourist busses because of its location. it is a little overpriced. price via booking.com was too high. my bother paid $50 less for the same room the same night.
Staff were excellent in assisting us with taking the Subway and showing us different touring locations to visit. We called three times for a shuttle from the Viau Metro Station. When we complained to the front reception the woman responded " it wasn't me that took your call ". Thanks, a simple apology would have been fine.
The reception desk personnel, outside pool lifeguard and our room cleaning service staff manager was the most pleasant staff to deal with. Against my better judgement, I've let our room cleaning staff manager talk me out of commenting about our reasons for our dislikes, because she promised she would take care of the areas she was in charge of. However the hotel restaurant was another bad experience service was horrible never received the water wife ask for, my tomato juice watered down and something removed from inside the glass in front of my wife's view, the food we left approximately 2/3rd, and cost approximately $50.00 Canadian we were also their amusement that were laugh at, will never go there for anything. But at the McDonald their breakfast was great under $20.00 for two. The bar area I have not dealt with so, I can't say anything except if it's ran like their restaurant they need police their staff better and get in check with their prices.
Hotel Universal Montreal had a beautiful entrance. It was inviting. The staff were polite. The rooms were nicely appointed. My cousins and I enjoyed our buffet breakfast.
All aspects of the hotel were exceeding expectations Nothing
The pool (but was a little dirty), and sauna Hotel staff at front desk was not smiling, not friendly.
It was the ideal location as I had not far to go for day surgery at a hospital nearby. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful. The tables in the dining area were well placed, not to close to others, the linen tablecloths and serviettes added class and there was a nice ambience.
We went for an event at Olympic Stadium and the location could not have been better. We could leave our car at the hotel and walk. There was a band aid stuck to the counter in the bathroom when I arrived. I think it was placed there on purpose to hold the laminate counter in place (it looked like it was coming loose), but I didn't investigate further since it was gross.
The personnel at the reception and at the restaurant.
Nice room (but word is that many of the rooms have not been renovated, and that these are a disaster). Reasonable price. Inconvenient location. Unhelpful, barely competent staff. Single elevator for very large hotel means you either use the stairs always, or be prepared to add ten minutes to any trip to/from the lobby. Wifi did not work in our room—staff did not fix, apologize, or offer compensation.
Convenient location Location
The location, the hotel and the room were exactly like advertised. No suprises. Easy to get all sorts of food delivered and everything is within short distance. Getting downtown is easy with the highway close by. Security guards on site. Unfortunately, there was a "Bikers' congress" during our stay and they partied until 3am, and even with multiple intervention from hotel security they did not keep the noise down. I think the hotel staff did try their best but they were overwhelmed by the situation at some point.
Hotel Royal Versailles is ideally situated for the type of activities we had planned. Located off highway 25, this allowed us to reach one of our destinations in Montreal's north end in just over 15 minutes. The next day we met with family in the downtown core and used the metro system which is located just seconds from the doors of the hotel. Its location.
The subway (Metro) is right next door to the hotel which takes you to downtown Montreal. There's a large shopping mall right across the street. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Hotel Staff was very curtious and helpful and took the time to ensure that the group we were travelling with were all located in the same area. We are planning on recommending that our club use this next year for the whole team. Not alot of staff was on Saturday night, but they did indicate that if we had a team stay there and wanted to eat in the restaurant they would make sure they were staffed accordingly. Breakfast was served starting at 7 AM. I had mentioned that we would be gone by then due to sporting commiments and they made sure Breakfast was set up early at 6:30. Great service. Enjoyable stay!
Near subway Poor breakfast
the room and localization breakfast was poor
proximity to HWY cleanliness leaved to be desired (hallways, staircases); however, the room and bathroom were clean; access to room (2nd fl, east wing) was long, past open service/supply rooms, not very inviting or hospitable atmosphere in my opinion.
The location was next door to a subway station and my room was large. The choice seems to be limited for the breakfast.
Front of desk was quick and friendly. Needs renovation, as carpets and fixtures were old. Inadequate bedding and lighting, as well as an out of focus television that was unadjustable
Perfect location for our trip to Montreal for the world cup game. Limited number of parking spots when site identifies free parking, only 2 pillows were provided and they were both flimsy. And the air conditioners need to be replaced as they are filled with the slate smell of cigarette smoke.
Pleasant envirnoment, friendly hotel staff / very peaceful and safe / flexiability
I reserved 1 suite and 1 double room. When we arrived, only the suite was reserved. Very bad situation when you are 6 adults! I should confirm with them on phone. It's the second time I have problem with web reservation in Montreal
Special design, very nice hosts - felt like a b&b. Need bus or 15min walk to get to the metro.
warm, relax atmosphere location in a old area, outside environment is not nice
Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely room, good value.
I have never stayed at a hotel (Bed & Breakfast) with hospitality such as they provide at Hotel Auberge Manoir Ville Marie. Their service was excellent and they are most accommodating. Excellent & friendly staff and owners. There were 8 of us from 1 family staying here and it felt like we were in our own home. I would highly recommend.
Service very small bathroom
good rooms ror the family "5 minutes" from old Montreal it is not.!! You are unable to travel by car taxi or bus to downtown Mintreal in less than 15 minutes.
A little noisy in the hallway. Our room was on the main floor near to the computer and phone.
No bathroom in standard rooms. For rooms with bathrooms the price is much higher. This is not clearly indicated in the informations about this hotel given on your website
Small quaint rooms - very old but clean, hot showers, comfortable beds, perfect for single traveler on a budget, good jogging trail, close to St. Lawrence river Room very small for two adults, breakfast was just toast, cereal, coffee and juice, parking was very tight, Monday to Friday cannot park in front of hotel from 7:00 - 9:00 am, very industrial part of city
This is in a great location and check-in was quick and easy. Free parking. The bed was very comfortable. The air-conditioning unit did not work at all. The free wifi was tremendously slow... I felt like it was 1996 trying to search the web. It's a little on the expensive side for a budget motel.
