My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely castle. It is a very elegant building with very good staff.
Peaceful location and building Customers should be aware there is not restaurant at the hotel and the nearest place to eat is 5km away.
This is a lovely chateau that has been beautifully restored and furnished. Despite the website promise of candlelit gourmet dinner, the restaurant is not open (well not in October) and arriving after a long day we had to drive 5km to the nearest village. There appeared to be only one man running the hotel who was good enough to show us around the chateau but whose duties did not seem to extend to helping with bags or opening the bar.
What a fab find - a grea little chateau. Located out in the wilderness, but only about 30 minutes from Nantes if you want to visit. Peaceful and relaxing. Rooms are very well decorated and equiped. The host very pleasant and serves an excellent french breakfast - sets you up for the day. Great court yard to chill out in and sip some vin!
The hotel had a nice setting and was quiet. The bar staff were quite friendly The restaurant was closed
Stunning place to stay, however as we were the only people staying there in July, and with no air conditioning, it was pretty uncomfortable, and a bit desolate
the cleanliness and the breakfast
Restaurant excellent. Staff helpful and friendly. Would certainly consider staying in this hotel again if in the area.
Convenient, practical, clean and friendly staff. No. We merely slept there for two nights whilst visiting other locations.
Staff were very accommodating. Restaurant was very good.
It was fairly calm, the bed was good. The staff present were not too well informed, however quite friendly. Not so good the fact that one should specify that 3 people in 1 room are not necessarily a couple plus 1 single! So 3 male guests find themselves with a french bed with one duvet plus an extra bed. This should be clearer in the room description.
nice room, good restaurant friendly staff no
Quiet, comfortable, pleasant service and attention to detail.Food was varied and well presented.Definitely a hotel we would use again. A small fault was the height of the ceiling above one side of the bed which, due to the sloping roof was a bit low for a tallish person such as me.
Cleanliness, friendliness of staff, location. Not exactly a bad point but I thought dinner was ordinary.
Facilities good. Hotel was almost empty - only about 6 other guests. Restaurant was closed and we were given a meal for E25, which was rather poor. I could not eat most of it and was given terrine, tomato salad, and 3 pieces of fruit for E25!
Ease of finding hotel. Excellent food in the Restaurant and plenty of choice for breakfast. Room clean and had everything we required with access to garden. Very good value for money. No
Clean, practical hotel suitable for one night stay. Staff were unwelcoming and totally ignored comments made regarding restaurant standards.
Staff were attentive and polite. Bathroom and bedroom spotless. Breakfast very good and service excellent for dinner.
The hotel was situated near to the access to beautiful walks around the Loire. The food in the restaurant was first class and the staff very helpful.
The food was excellent and the room was comfortable enough. We enjoyed excellent stroll along the river & to the local castle ruins.Excellent shower. The room was cold - the weather was exceptionally cold for May & there was no heating other than the towel rail.
The room was very comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the river. The food in the restaurant was excellent and breakfast was good. It is ideally situated for anyone cycling the Loire and had secure cycle storage.
A really nice little hotel, which we recommend. Although the hotel was cheap, it was very clean, had all the facilities we wanted, including touches like hairdrier, lots of towels and hot water etc. and the staff were friendly. Although some of the staff only spoke French, it was nice to be in a proper French hotel, rather than an 'international' one. It had the Seine the other side of the road, and we had a lovely view of this from our rooms and restaurant, as well as a lake with a playground on the bank. There was a good choice of evening meal, and the breakfast was really enjoyable and extensive. no
All fine, very friendly, and very helpful. Lack of English speaking staff made things interesting, however the staff went to great lengths to assist in communication.
Very tranquil setting overlooking the Loire. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food. Menu du jour was very good value.Delightful decor.
Location on banks of Loire, calm. No restaurant on Sunday or Monday
nice people, helpfull, good resturant, they have 1/2 bord price very good by booking with them directly
Brilliant! Stayed a week and used it as a base to explore the Loire. Lovely view out the window in the mornings. Very filling continental breakfast for €8. Wonderful food in the restaurant - tried to return in time for it each evening. Lots of room, good shower facilities etc. Plenty of parking. All very friendly. Excellent all round!
Friendly accomodating staff. Good, wholesome dinner, likewise breakfast. Hotel could do with a refurb but it did not detatch from a good family experience.
The manager (owner?) was very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, with great attention to detail, like tea & coffee-making facilities and lots of towels. The breakfast was very expensive, so we chose not to have it.
friendly. Old style hotel. Plenty parking. Family room Had to ask for towels for 3rd person in room which had been overlooked.
Excellent staff, very accomodating. Food very good, catered for vegetarian. Room was very clean and comfortable not expensive. Nothing
Nice welcome from the manager, really nice hotel that was well priced and well positioned. Clean room and good straight forward food and garage parking for our motorbikes.
Courteous and friendly owner, good location which was surprisingly quiet. Very steep and rickety staircase to upstairs rooms, bedroom(and especially bathroom) satisfactorily furnished but we did not like the dirty and stained sofa. This let the whole place down.
Friendly, no-frills, just what we were looking for, good breakfast, very accessible to the river.
The hotel staff was very helpful. As it was located in a very quite village, please do not expect life compare to those in city area. I was suppose to stay for two nights but change it to one night stay due to some last minute business meeting. They didnt charge me for the second night that i confirm.
Personal service Carrying luggage up the stairs to my room
The receptionist on our arrival was very good. The swimming pool was good The other receptionist we had dealings with was unhelpful one example- she said there was no need to book for dinner that night and consequently we went hungry as it was a monday. There did not seem to be a map of the resort/complex (if there was we were not given one) and the sign posts were useless. There was no information in english- re attractions etc in the area.
The shower was good. The hotel had no air con and had to open the patio door to a shared balcony with smokers. The room was very outdated and we had several biting flies. We actually checked out four days early and moved to a better hotel.
The staff spoke good English The layout was confusing. There needed to be better signage when you come in first.
beds very comfortable ,clean, and a heating if required.Staff excellent. a little hard to find, but turn right into carpark at La Pommeraye signpost coming from Montjean
it was very souless (for a business traveller)
It was very well located in a nice, tranquil area. Nothing
