nicely decorated room / soundproof room at street side / airco / buffet breakfast (although limited choice) very small elevator / small bathroom (although not all bathrooms are the same) / bath/shower tap needs replacement
Friendly, helpful staff. Good location with old town just across the bridge. Will return.
Excellent location. Garage was important as we were travelling in our own car. We arrived on a Public Holiday (1 May 09) and the hotel was closed until 5:30 pm.We had been given a check-in time of 4:00 pm - so had to fill in 90 minutes before we could get into our room. Notice of Public Holiday and Sunday afternoon closures would be useful.
The room was very spacious. Very effective double glazing, once the window was closed no outside noise whatsoever. Central location, popular restaurant on doorstep. Undersground parking available but very tricky if you have a big vehicle.
The location of the hotel in Laval Although it was very useful to have parking facilities at the hotel, the garage had rather a bad smell.
Wonderful location in the centre of Laval. Clean and comfortable if not exactly luxurious, but good value. This is the second time we have stayed there rather inconvenient that reception was not open all day
Central Location. Quiet - Our room was anyway. Secure Parking. No bar or restaurant in the Hotel.
Location The breakfast was too basic
Convenient location The lift was small and had a very funny smell
Very nice location. Staff very friendly but couldn't speak English. Convenient location for attractions in the area, e.g. Laval, Rennes & Le Mans. Quite hard to find / Breakfast not included.
very nice staff, a good restaurant and a very good breakfast buffet. Nicely situated on the outskirts of the city with sufficient parking place. A nice place and great value for money.
Could arrive late , nice breakfast (I love French bread)
Good breakfast. Restaurant had been advertised (which is why we booked). Only when we arrived did we find it was not open at weekends.
It was clean, friendly staff, nice restaurant, food good, hotel easily accesiable and easy to find. Everything was good.
Friendly staff nice rooms excellent food The hotel seemed unprepared for the amount of guests there was a shortage of beer in the bar the staff had to go to local shop for supplies also they only had half a dozen pint glasses which was meant people had to buy half pints which made the night considerably more expensive as the price for half a pint was much more than half the price of a pint
it was quiert We did not find it for 1.5 hours road signs need to be better
Friendly staff, good service, even provided evening meal after resturant closed.Clean room which was excellent value for money.
staff warm and friendly attitude a little sparse, we were on a blokes trip to leman and it was adequate but I would hesitate to use it for a family trip
We rate this hotel as one of the best that we stayed at during our holiday and consider it the best for service and value.
Size of room, location, cleanness
Location near ring road. Nowhere near to simply go for a drink.
Easy to find location. Mattress was dipped in the middle where lots of people have slept - not good for my back. Bed also had stained sheets and had a blanket rather than a duvet which I don't find very comfortable. Reception staff not very polite when struggling to make myself understood in French, I asked in French if he spoke English but he was not happy with this question, even though I tried my best to communicate.
Friendly helpful staff, clean, great food location - quite far out of town (about 10 euros in a taxi)
Don't visit this hotel without testing the reastaurant !
location, near airport and fair out dated bathroom
You are the guest and nothing is a problem. The food both in the restaurant and for breakfast were excellent. I stayed in this hotel back in June and enjoyed the experience, and re-booked for this visit, I have re-booked for my next trip to Laval in june Next year 1. They only have one room with twin beds. 2. The service in the Le Capucin Gourmand Restaurant was not as good as in June. 3. As a smoker it would be nice to have a covered area at the back (It was wet on this visit)
Standard of the rooms & the hotel, the food, wine, the outdoor pool & the staff were second to none
so nice :-))))))))
The area was good and there was a lovely lake to walk around. the hotel offered lots of activities, and we took advantage of the swin golf and the pool, although this was very cold!! The cold pool (not the 29 degrees it should have been, I'm sure!). The dirty carpet in the room (stains, not actual dirt) let the initial view of the room down.
Great location beside lake. Very relaxing place. Pleasant towns nearby like Evron and others in Sarthe valley. Pool not good. Bedrooms not great and not value for money.
Very pleasant location alongside a lake. Within easy reach of a number of attractive Brittany and Mayenne towns. Excellent restaurant with a good choice of menu and good wine list. Majority of staff spoke excellent English. Although described as a Relais de Silence we were very conscious of the noisy main road at the front of the hotel and had to keep the window shut at night to avoid disturbance. A very small room with limited storage space so not ideal for a long stay.
The location was convenient as we traveled through the Loire Valley. Price was one of the most reasonable for a clean place to stay. Hosts were very nice. Not that it matters but the rooms were stripped down. An old building could have had great decor to make it more inviting.
this hotel is in a really sleepy part of france the small village is picture postcard a la carte menu does not suit all.
Room adequate and very clean with beautiful outlook across rural France. Dinner (nouvelle cuisine) very elaborate but not cheap! (Not out of the way either, though). Service was friendly.
garden I didn't feel 1yr old was welcome in the restaurant.
The staff all talked very good english and they were all very helpful
convenient for local area we came down to breakfast at 0915, choice was poor and water for tea was cold
friendly staff, secure parking, swimming pool. lovely setting, very quite village, u can only eat in the hotel or a small creperie down the road, other than that theres nothing there. If u only want it for a place to sleep then its perfect, we travelled to Le mans every day so was perfect for us. We would go back here again. booked a double bed got two singles, also led to believe tea/coffee facilities in the room and there isnt, these were a disappointment, but we delt with it, food although nice we felt over priced and not much of a choice. Breakfast doesnt start til 8, really we needed it by 7 as we were out early each day.
The setting, the lovely gardens, the generous toiletries and cute little Jack! The bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned and smelled of urine.
We only stayed one night because we were en route. However, we were completely amazed at how nice it was. Next year we will definately stay there longer.
The helpfulness of the staff Not applicable
Lovely spacious rooms with good views and swimming pool. Excellent food and breakfast. Nice to have free enclosed parking. Lovely hotel. Nothing to dislike!
Small hotel in small village in France. The hotel is small. Rooms are clean but facilities not new. Hotel administration doesn't take care about maintenance of the facilities in good condition. Swimming pool actually works only in summer time - it was not mentioned in advertismemt. Price 9 euro for breakfast is too high for this smallest breakfast I've ever seen in France.
Breakfast was a little sparce.
The staff were very very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The food was excellent - and the staff very friendly and helpful A bit tired - perhaps needed a bit of updating
The room was very comfortable and the food was superb all with friendly staff, great weekend.
The location was excellent and off street parking a useful bonus. Staff were friendly. My room was noisy. I could hear evey movement from the room above both footsteps and plumbing. The hotel had a slightly run down air. The restaurant was closed and the garden looked neglected. With a bit of care it could have been lovely.
We were the only guests at this hotel, and though we were led to beleive the hotel would be accessible from 11.00, we found it was closed until 17.00. The room facilities were poor and did not include tea or coffee making facilities. The restaurant was closed and there was no provision to eat at the hotel. The reception did not know of anywhere local that was open so we could eat. Thank goodness for a local baker. We cut short our stay as it was indicated that the provision would not improve. All in all, we were extremely disappointed, to the point that if I knew where thae nearest Campanile was we would have gone there and cancelled our room.
The hotel was in a good location with cafés and restaurants close by. The WiFi connection was very poor - even standing next to it didn't work (there were a lot of networks all using the same channel). The restaurant was always closed. The TV used to turn itself off at random.
close to city we were not there long, and unfortunatley we arrived on a day the restaurant was closed
Simple, clean hotel - ideal for short stay as a base.
It was very close to the town of Domfront and is situated in an attractive building with lovely gardens. Very convenient and plentiful parking.
Covenient location to town
Easy to find. Restaurant and bar in building, with reasonable quality food. Good size light airy bedroom. Decent shower. Private parking on site. Views across the river. They could do with sun blinds in the bar/breakfast room. Uncomfortably hot in there during beakfast.
Basic but perfectly adequate. ~Good location for town next to main square. We had no trouble changing our room to one with a bath as requested. No drink making facilities in the room but we took our own so it was no problem. Television hard to work but that's not what you go on holiday for!
