It was very modern, clean and comfortable and within easy reach of the town centre. Northing
close to centre of town. Modern hotel with good room facilities Have stayed there twice nd the price I paid on my second vist was much increased and will make me consider other options in the future
A comfortable room for relaxation and accessable bar and parking. The breakfast buffet did not have much choice.
Good location. Comfortable rooms, lovely decor. very quiet. The restaurant menu was limited and seemed expensive. For breakfast we went to a nearby cafetería, much cheaper!
large room, clean new furniture, nice bathroom, good location, easy parking
The rooms were large, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of quality food. Staff were polite and helpful. I would have like tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Staff were friendly & helpful, rooms were clean, bar was good. A good centrally situated hotel.
We enjoyed our stay in your hotel
excellent room and corridor lighting fair location
very modern but still comfortable finding it
We loved everything, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, the restaurant staff were professional but not stiff or unfriendly.A fabulous hotel in a wonderful region of Spain where we heard no English spoken, wonderful for those of us who prefer the real Spain. First stay at a Parador but not the last. We could not find fault, only regret was not booking extra days.
Location (center of town), enough parking places, wireless is free, swimming pool with free towel wireless is not available in rooms.
very beatiful restored old convent in the center of the nice little town of Almagro. staff were very friendly and helpful, dinner was great and the swimmingpool most enjoyable. we liked our stay very much!
Everything. From the moment we drove into the courtyard. Everything was perfect. The food excellent. The room tranquil and comfortable. The whole stay was just so relaxing. We will visit again.
Beautifull parador, but unfortunately a little modern rooms. Center of town (plaza Mayor) is great and has a lot of atmosphere. We were lucky to have stayed in this parador during a festival, so we enjoyed a live performance in open air As mentioned, the rooms did not compare to the grandeur of the parador itself
Lovely old building, with great bedrooms, well positioned in the old town. A good bar. Reception staff were a little off-hand (and not very polite), our bags were marched off to our room with not a word said and almost knocking over my wife in the process.
This was one of the best Paradors we have seen, a beautiful and very comfortable high end stay. Location was great for visiting this must see town. The hotel is just our style of comfort based on purely local design and simple beauty.
Wonderful buildings The breakfast which was included was spectacularly good Not terribly impressed with staff compared to the other hotels we stayed at during our 2 week journey through Spain
The setting was pretty, especially outside. Close to the town. -
The staff at the hotel was very helpful in spite of our lack of Spanish. It was 1 block from the Plaza Major with many outside tapas cafeterias. Very comfortable beds! Parking was listed as unavailable but there was plenty of free street parking. We traveled in May. Our needs were accommodated nicely when the staff determined that our room was on the second floor and my 87 y.o. mother would be more comfortable on the ground floor. Hotel full of wonderful surprises and courtyards!
It was old fashioned, but magnificently appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. We wished we had planned to stay another day.
What a wonderful experience at Casa Rural in lovely Almagro. Delightful owner and such a charming, interesting residence filled with Spanish character and interesting artifacts. The breakfast was amazing and extremely generous - we didn't need lunch! We loved everything about Tia Pilar and dined at the Parador nearby which was our most memorable meal during our short spanish trip.
We were looking for a town and hotel to stay in on our way from Madrid to Tarifa Spain. This was the perfect spot. The hotel was amazing. I think I took more pictures of the hotel than anything else! The courtyards, pool, deck, sitting areas, and rooms are all amazing. The building is the perfect blend of old Spain with modern conveniences. The hostess is so kind and helpful. We walked to the plaza in the evening for dinner and we felt like we were truly experiencing a spanish way of life - not just a tourist stop over.
Lovely quaint hotel with old knick-knacks on display throughout (more like a family home than a hotel). Room was comfortable and spacious, air-con was very efficient. Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely. Couldnt find the pool until we were about to leave and still not sure if it was for residents use as it seemed to be surrounded by washing.
Very rural and no English at all! Excellent breakfast.
Casa Rural Tia Pilar has an excellent location to attend the Festival de Teatro Clasico de Almagro. The decoration of the house is lovely and the rooms are a dream. The bed is comfortable; the linens are very agreeable; the bathroom has a wonderful hydromassage shower. The breakfast buffet is absolutely delicious. You can enjoy the comfort of a modern hotel and also walk around the house to see the antiques as if you were at a museum. Undoubtedly, the best hotel I have stayed at.
Its beauty and charm, antiques, patios, and hospitality of the owners. Quiet, comfortable, and an excellent breakfast too. One of the best places I've ever stayed. Your description is accurate. Guest reviews not shown.
Excellent Staff who were happy to recommend restaurants and bars.Parking was good and at an affordable price. Wi Fi worked well
Very central so easy to leave the car and walk around the pleasant small town. Clean and modern. All the other hotels we stayed in of this standard had a hairdryer and a safe and most had a fridge so we missed these. For continental breakfast we were given one cup of coffee and one slice of toast. We would have been better going to one of the many cafes around the hotel.
A smart, clean hotel with plenty of on site parking. Good location for the centre of Valdepenas such as it is which is not much. Friendly and helpful staff. Nothing
Convenience/location/friendliness of staff Could not settle with credit card as pdq machine was u/s
Location of hotel near center of Valdepenas, friendliness of staff in recommending restaurants, safe underground parking (max. 1.7m in height) Small size of beds
Excellent hotel, choice of old or modern rooms, good location for town and exploring La Mancha.
Very friendly staff to welcome guests. Interesting tour of the hotel and its interesting interior and facilities The ultra modern bedroom with its light sensitive windows and high tech gadgets did not offer a relaxing feel. similarly the breakfast room was stark and uninviting. Ther hotel lacks soul.
the ambience is very nice even though the mixture of very old and very modern is a bit questionable use of spa facilities for an extra 30€ per person
Very poor location, right next to an expressway, trucks roared all night, room smelled of smoke (we requested a non-smoking room) and located well outside the community. location, room, noise,
I liked the layout of this motel. There was a pool. The restaurant was very good. Being beside the motorway made it convenient as a stop on a long journey.
Large room, parking outside, permit pets, fridge in room (altho broken!), outside space, excellent breakfast Fridge in room broken
Location. Good overnight stop from Santander to Southern Spain. On A4 but no problem with road noise at the back of the motel. We booked this hotel because it had excellent reviews on the restaurant. On the night we stayed the restaurant was closed and only bar food was available. We were very disappointed and would not have stayed here had we known in advance.
Staff were friendly, tapas in the cafe was excellent, dinner local cooking very good. Rooms were basic but very clean Rooms need updating very old fashioned
I was travelling to Marbella so I just needed a bed and breakfast location and that proved to be just right, thank you.
Easy access to the hotel just on the autoroute which was an ideal for our convenience Although classed as pet friendly, the pet had to stay in the room so one would be advised not to have a too boisterous animal. Evening meal is in my opinion too late 9 pm. On the meal times, there was a cafeteria where one could have a light snack but expensive. If one has been travelling all day then it would be advantageous to have an evening meal a bit earlier to enable a reasonable time to go to bed in order to start off the driving early the next day.
Hotel (Motel) good location for someone who needs a hotel near the motorway, good food and helpful service. I woulld suggest any one with a large wide car to park at the front of the hotel, space near the bedrooms very narrow.
All good No bad points
Wonderful atmospheric old building. Convenient location close to A4 Motorway. Restaurant menu rather limited with strange dishes and quite expensive.
Lovely atmospheric old building
Excellent hotel in a lovely village, Tapas was generous, dinner very good. Staff very friendly and very clean. There is a swimming pool. You do need to have some knowledge of the spanish language as only one member of staff spoke a little english on reception. Would recommend this hotel
Staff were very helpful when we had a problem with our car. Would have liked a more comfortable sitting area.
A mini 'Parador' at a mini price.
Helpful staff; serenity; uniqueness.
no good food the food
We chose this hotel as a break journey between Cordoba and Toledo. We found it surprisingly elegant - the open plan was very different to other hotels we have stayed in and reflected the architecture and mood of the original building (which was very old) though it had been totally refurbished. Dinner was especially good and great value. I am told it is open for lunch and dinner 7 days. I would definitely recommend eating in house.when staying here. Air conditioning didn't work because it was autumn and it seems it is only switched on for extreme weather.
Convenient location for transit to north Spain , room was comfortable staff pleasant and had command of the English language.
Wonderful former convent in a small town, its attractive rooms set around a central covered courtyard with fountain playing. All the staff were most friendly and helpful. Our room had beautiful Mooorish tiling and decor. Most impressive. The evening meal was excellent, the best we had on any overnight stay. Altogether a repeatable experience. Nothing.
On first place the hotel is decorated with a really nice taste (typical Spanish decoration from La Mancha). And the staff is extremely nice, always willing to help or give tips on where to go and what to do. It was a great experience and we will come back.
Beautiful hotel, very clean, staff were lovely. Outside area with pool and sun chairs was lush.
Lovely, and very typical Spanish Hotel. The staff were exrtremely friendly although the langauge barrier is a constraint at times. (We thought we knew enough spanish words to get by but found it very difficult to be understood at times). Manuela, who is one of the staff, was particularly helpful and knew a little English which helped. (She speaks fluent German). Lovely little pool area and given the whoel idea was to relax and do nothing - its a great place to do just that! Well done & Best Wishes to Pablo and the staff
Surroundings and decor were lovely All rooms had showers but no baths.
The buffet breakfast was very adequate - the bacon and eggs were very good. Freshly squeezed orange juice would have been welcome.
Good, easy and free parking; nice staff. None.
Very convenient. Walking distance from downtown Almagro, and well located within the region to visit other arweas of interest. The price is fair for the summer.
Great value for money, about 10 minutes walk into town. Good to have a swimming pool albeit small to cool off in.
Decor Their system would not accept either of our credit cards so we had to pay by cash which we had not budgeted for.
We thought it compared with the Almagro Parador very favourably (we stayed there 2 years ago) and was much better value, especially the restaurant where the menu del dia was excellent. No. The reception area and staircase were very impressive. Nearer the centre would have been better but 500 metres isn't too far.
Dinner/ day menu- very good and not expensive Small rooms
Good stopping place between Madrid and Andalusia region, otherwise not much to recommend it.
Own parking area, huge rooms with high ceiling Two of two offered rooms were smoked
everthing pretty acceptable. Shower not great
Very interesting, luxurious apartment Too many steps to get to our rooms (on hindsight, we should ask for room with easier access, but what we got was so nice....)
Impressive hotel and associated buildings set in its own picturesque grounds. Facilities/ services were excellent. Large room.
Our stay was a very short stay only for one night but it looked an ideal place for a good rest
friendly staff especially the lady who served us breakfast and the receptionist. Good air-conditioning. Clean.Good breakfast. We had signed up for secure parking but the garage was inaccessible due to the council digging up the pavement in front of the hotel. The receptionist seemd surprised when I said I wanted to cancel the parking! However, we were able to park across the road. The room was minute - getting in and out of the shower was an experience!
