For a very reasonable price, we got a junior suite with high ceilings, air conditioning, and a comfortable, king-size bed, with street parking just outside the hotel. After a two-week vacation, it was lovely to stay in such a soothing place on our last day, with such easy access to the airport (10 minutes' drive away.) The cantina served us delicious free tapas with our wine as well. No matter how long we let the water run, we couldn't get anything hot to come out of the tap!
Clean and modern room is offered with a reasonable price. There is a free parking space nearby. We ordered quadruple room, but in deed it was a twin room with four beds. There is no extra space - it was impossible even to open the closet door. Quality of the breakfast was not very good.
Excellent facilites & standard Use of public car park some distance away
Casa del Trigo is a nice place to stay in Santa Fe when you have an early flight from Granada. It's in the center of town, so it's easy enough to see all that Santa Fe has to offer. It's not a lot, but there is a SuperSol just across the street.
Convenience for Airport
The breakfast was a bit poor, 10 people has to sit together at the same table...
The facilities The price of the evening meal
Beautiful place and nice hotel. Friendly staffs, a lot of treatments avalible. You have to pay to use a swimming pool. No a la cart mune in the restaurant.
the location is spectacular, the roman baths and thermal hot springs are authentic and still in use as part of the hotel and its site (unique in spain), and although far from granada a very intersting accompaniment to a visit to the alhambra, old-fashioned european spa-resort style to the building and service is very appealing, regional food products such as olive oil and wine and the dining room daily menu items are very good with the table service in particular enthusiastic and cooperative, more italian than spanish in style. room 253 had a balcony overlooking river and full moon, maybe the nicest room i stayed in in two weeks of travelling spain. the setting of the resort is primeval, the route to it through spectacular rock format website maps should direct one to the hotel site and not to the town centre of alhama de granada, as the hotel site is distant from the town
the owner was espcially nice and did a special breakfast ( due to dietary need) and called me a taxi to go to the airport. I had assumed , as it was near the airport , there would be many taxis.. which there were not . So if you stay there because you need to be near the airport, they need to book a taxi for you. Not easy to find.. no signs , had to stop and ask at a local bar, as the village was dark and on an road , not well lit/signed.
the room and flexibility of the ownders It looked unwelcoming because it was the heat of the day and eveything was closed up and the front door curtained across to keep out the sun. Perfectly acceptable but no a good first impression.
Authentic spanish residence There was no bar or restaurant. Also there was no breakfast available.
Staff were friendly, room was clean & comfortable Would have been nice to have tea & coffee making facilities in the room
Really helpful friendly staff. Good value basic breakfast, just what we needed. We'd strongly recommend this hotel.
Please write at least 15 words The room was cold. The internet was not Free as advertised.
When we came into the room,it smeled badly. We had to let the outside air in the room for a while.
The easy acess to the hotel both ways from the main road. We were kept awake all the night by the cleaning staff who kept knocking on doors, our door was even opened and left open. The times of the self service food hall was very poor.
Spacious room for price Noise of Motorway traffic as our room was facing the road as opposed to one of the rooms facing the view of the valley.
It was convenient for our trip The restuarant was not open only the self service cafeteria was available
Not a lot, on arriving at the hotel my first impression was that it looked very run down On arriving at the hotel my first impression was that it looked very run down and on entering our room it proved to be correct.
convenient for the motorway yet in a quiet rural location - well worth the extra cost for a terrace and jacuzzi type bath! the access gate to the swimming pool was locked during our stay at the hotel but there again the weather was too good for swimming/sunbathing
Nice swimming pool very good for children Very good bathroom well equiped
The private terrace and the hydro massage tub The terrace overlooked the car park and the room was smaller than the terrace!
idilic country location decoror and comfort excellent sunday cena on the outside patio very helpfull staff particualy when it started to rain, The staff had will do any job attitude to thier work, well done. brekfast could be better !
Easily accessible from both Malaga and Granada airports and centrally located to explore the area. Friendly staff, rooms adequate and very clean apart from beds exceptionally hard! Extensive menu with good food. Popular with the locals if you are looking for real Spain! Smoking in the bar and hard mattresses.
The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings with tremendous views and also a fantastic swimming pool. The air conditioning did not appear to be working properly.
Delightful hotel, pleasant staff, beautiful location and excellent food.
This was an overnight stop en route to the coast. The swimming pool area is well laid out with a stunning panoramic view over the mountains. The food in the restaurant at dinner was excellent and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is well signposted from the autovia and is only five minutes from the main road. The rooms are comfy, clean and well appointed. The buffet breakfast was adequate although a little lacking in choice.
We Loved our seafood paella for dinner . The service was also lovely.
Welcoming General Reception Area. Excellent swimming pool. Good food and restaurant not easy to find for newcomers to the area
Fabulous hotel with friendly staff.
the setting was beautiful and the room decorated tastefully. Breakfast was ample and varied the trout for dinner was dry, tasteless and small portioned. The dining area with drapes outside ws shabby and gave a bad impression
Nice view from the room and pool-area. Riofrio is a fine little village with good and cheap fish. The motorway. It's close by but it's really not a problem.
Very good all round hotel. Choice of menu was limited.
Location- brilliant views to mountains, peaceful surroundings but well placed for visiting Granada & Cordoba.Staff were excellent- very friendly & helpful. We stayed half board & the menu del dia was very good. Access via Rio Frio was not too easy better to take the road from Loja.
Room turned to the back of the hotel was surprisingly quiet, despite location at frequented high-way
We were able to park immediately outside and were assured that there were security patrols overnight.
Luxuryies Very loud hotel due to long coridor, thin walls. Coming and going of hotel guest over the whole night.
Easy to park outside. Cafeteria for coffee etc in morning. Bit difficult to find, not well signposted.
Great restaurant. Staff and service excellent. Good location 2 mins from the A92. Great Value for money. What more do you need?
It was very nice location. The breakfast & staff was very nice. And was very easy to find.
Staff friendly and helpful, food was good and good value
We have stayed at this hotel about four times and think it is a charming place with lovely views. The staff are very professional and friendly. i highly reccomend it Nothing at all to be critical of
All staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. It is in a good location for travelling to and from Granada/Al Cala La Real. 1. We were in a group of four people but there was a problem with one of our evening meals, it was returned to the kitchen but come back still not cooked properly, we chose another meal but the wrong one was brought out, but it was eaten and was good. 2. There was no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms & no hairdryers.
Friendly staff...was a business female on my own..and felt safe!!,,,have to go back there soon...nice to get up out of the Costa! Nice balcony overlooking soo many olives!!..very quiet/tranquile..prob good for exploring the area...oops! except for some guy snoring next door!!..lol..men!! Says breakfast for less than 3 euros..but was not asked if I wanted one!!TV only had 2 channels.....music..or Spanish..but only one..politics I think.....still!! kept my Spanish up!!!....tiring after an hour! though! As ever in many Spanish hotels....no tea /coffee making in room..but the coffee in the bar is great!!
The location was ok for exploring the nearby castle & prehistoric caves - but only if you can find them yourself. The rooms were clean & the bathrooms were a decent size & functional. This hotel was a big disappointment. It's not recently constructed as the booking .com website advertised. Rooms very tired looking, small & basic. The corridor was soulless with peeling paint. The rooms at the back of the hotel have a locked steel bar gate over the windows. Balconies available only on the noisy road side. Our room was very noisy with some sort of fan/aircon/refrigeration unit on the roof above. Very helpful staff member found us another quieter room though. The whole hotel is very noisy. Most staff were unaware of local attractions on the website. One barman did know, but that was on the day we checked out, so missed out on most things to see. Staff have very limited English. This hotel is very overpriced for what you get
very noise and the shets are not clean
