Good, comfortable, 4 stars hotel. Nice staff, private parking, bike parking, swimming pool and good restoran
Hoteliers are so arrogant and rude to guest. i never ever exprienced such kind of people.
modern smart clean rooms air conditioning not working first 2 days. Breakfast was not good
Overworked staff with poor attitude, poor quality food, self service buffet no al a carte menu available.
Good area with nice facilities
Very nice room, beatifully designed
Bedrooms are spacious and fairly clean. Excellent, prompt, dependable staff and reception desk. Air conditioning works very well, and there is a minifridge in the room. The beds are comfortable. Other reviewers commented on the noisiness of the passing train; in my room with the windows closed it sounded like faraway thunder, and wasn't loud enough to wake me up (and I wake up with almost any noise). Location is very bad. It is on a secluded road without any restaurants or shops nearby. Must drive, or take a taxi or a train to get into Rovereto or other nearby towns. On closer inspection, the sheets and towels were not very clean, though the rest of the room was impeccable. The hotel restaurant has high-quality food, but it is predictably more expensive than comparable restaurants in town.
Staff and restaurant was great Internet was poor and seemed to block basic sites like web based email. Hotel was hard to find even with navigation system in car
The rooms and aircon was very good also the restaurant in the evening was very good. The breakfast was typical Italian, not much choice and even no fresh espresso! It came out of a tourist machine!! No danish in a four star place?the restaurant could do better with Fresh OJ and fresh baked eggs and bread.
new rooms, interesting design, good food, nice landscape arround, good price. We will come back.
Very nice staff. Large rooms
Fantastic location on the Lake Garda, superb views. Excellent location for water sports - windsurfing, yachting but also for walks. If you travel from Austria to Italy is a very good place for an over-night stop. Designer room and very spacious for three adults. No heating in the rooms (it was October and quit cold), but is the Italian law to switch on the heating only after mid-october. I couldn't see any a/c either in the room but I supose it doesn't get very hot in summer as it is practically in the mountains. We also had a leak at the bathroom sink wich they couldn't fix being on a sunday.
It is close to the train station, the service in general is good. Some of the people (not all) working there are kind of descriminatory to people from other countries.
the cleaning services were good there is no bar at the lobby, the wi fi was very bad.
It gave the impression of luxury, was interesting in design, and friendly. There was no Bar in the Hotel, or restaurant, which meant we spent nearly 200 euros in the Hotel down the road.
very good quality environment and friendly staff. Very good buffet breakfast.
It was one of the very few hotels that offered accomodation for a family at a reasonable price. The Hotel was fine but the whole town shuts at 2100 so if you are eating out, eat early!
New smartly refurbished frontage and foyer, staff very pleasant, rooms fresh and clean and excellent buffet breakfast
Good location This hotel looks better than it is. Strange smell in bathroom from air con, worst coffee I have ever tasted, staff helped but were distant.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff. They even booked an appointment for our dog. This is our 3rd stay at this hotel and will not be the last. Not applicable
Staff Internet WIFI is quite expensive but first hour is free
Very good Any restaurant and bar
We thought the location right by the lake edge was lovely and because we had a room overlooking the Lake we enjoyed the views very much. Good internet facilities despite the fact that you had to ask the reception for a password every time you wanted to use the machine. The hotel restaurant had good food. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in ( within the recommended check in times). Parking is a real problem at the Hotel. Only a few temporary parks immediately outside and we had to park our car, a ten minute walk away,as provided by the Hotel.
The location was good. It advertised wlan and air-con. it did not have either of these. Not value for money. False advertising. I stayed there because it was supposed to have these facilities.
Superb location. No air conditioning or fans in rooms = extremely hot rooms during summer months. The free parking "near the hotel" is actually a lone parking lot some 10 minutes walk away.
Our room wasn´t prepared at time.
The pool is nice, the location in the area is nice the air conditioning does not really work - it makes only noise - no cold air!! there are not enough chairs and sunshades in the pool, and they do not clean the room in all the time you stay - even if it is for a long time
Big rooms, nice location room was located in the basement with no view and iron bars around the 'balcony'
Please write at least 15 words
aircon room, the balcony and the lovely swimming pool.
Extremely friendly hotel, with excellent location and well furnished room. The staff worked very hard. We thought that the insistence of paying cash for all drinks each evening was a real nuisance - they could have simply taken a visa deposit. Food was very german, rather than italian.Vegetarian food was fairly low profile
the view was fabulous and the staff were friendly and helpful
We were given a fantastic room with stunning views of the lake. The lady/gentleman on reception was always friendly. We had booked a bed/breakfast room and we found that breakfast was very unorganised. We didn't really know where we were meant to be sitting, or what we were supposed to be doing! Food, however, was faultless and lovely.
Fantastic view!!! From the pool and the room!
The area was nice & the view of the Lake was good. The attitude of some of the staff, in particular one of the waiters who was rude & obnoxious to everyone. The swimming pool surrounding was very poor. My husband had splinters twice just walking on the wooden decking, which were between 1-11/2 ins long. One hit the bone. The water in the pool was also extremely cold. As we were B&B & not 1/2 board, we were not allocated a table for breakfast like people who were staying 1/2 board, meaning we had to scrabble around to find a free table, making us feel like 2nd class citizens.
Fabulous views, quiet location, short walk down quiet lane to center, hotel and facilities good. The restaurant service and the breakfast quality meant we did not wish to eat there on an evening.
Stunning location and we were lucky to get a superior room with a huge balcony overlooking Lake Garda for a good rate. Beware the standard rooms however, as they look out on a wall of rock and must be very gloomy.
The swimming pool and the nice view to the the lake In our hotel room we could see only rock. Between the rock and the room the was a terrace, but it was dark and was not cleaned for a long time. As a four star hotel we actually expected a little bit more.
Very pleasent staff.very clean and tidy.excellent location.beautiful scenery. Air conditioning in bedroom could be alot better.not cold enough.
Rooms design and location are very good. Bathroom in new but very ordinary. Hotel is 3 km above see but view is excellent. Hotel stuff is not very professional. Reception stuff is very unfriendly and you have to wait very long people on bar. Rooms and rest of hotel could be more clean. It is pity because hotel is on very special please and design is super so stuff should take more care about their one facilites.
The hotel staff was nice, the room we got was really spacious with an LCD monitor (instead of the usual mini TV sets), the bathroom was big with a bath tub and shower with massage, it was very peaceful, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean. The hotel has a garage with limited space though but I think some public parking is possible.
Good bar and breakfast Lack of organisation of breakfast tables for the number of tours. Outdoor swimming pool clean but very cold and a long way from the hotel
Pool is not directly linked to the hotel, you have to take a short walk around an olive grove
Room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was better than the norm. The one lift was slow and there were no clearly marked staircases.
nice rooms with balcony, lovely outdoor pool in peaceful garden, flowers and overlooked by hills, reserved clients, complimentary afternoon tea/coffee and cakes each day, close to rival del garda. overall very good spot. dinner in evening had a limited/set menu not going to suit kids or sophisticated palates
the location right in the center and the restaurant
Very good and comfortable. Exceptional value for money. Quiet, clean, well furnished. Perfectly staff. Nothing to complaint
The booking process was absolutely excellent. I phoned on a Sunday and had no problem getting through to Active Hotels. I was given superb guidance, the man whom I booked the hotels with with even helped me choose the best stop over places. As I was driving from uk to Greece his help was so valuable. I had 2 dogs with me, the man at Active Hotels made finding a dog-accepting hotel so easy. Would throughly recommend Active Hotels, every stop over was excellent, thank-you.
Very nice hotel with excellent service. I would gladly stay here again.
Nice centrally located hotel. Poor equipped mini-bar. Coffee wasnt what I expected. Wlan expensive.
Quality of hotel & very helpful staff
The staff at reception were very helpful and very friendly. The hotel had free coffee in the lobby with the latest magazines ( pity I couldn't read italian). An easy 150 metre to the train station on smooth pavements so easy to pull a suitcase. Close to shops, supermarket, museum, Everything in easy walking distance. Breakfast not included in the rate but I knew this when I booked.
Location. It is near the train station and on the main street of Rovereto. The hotel is family run and is very clean and the staff for the most part is very helpful. I have stayed here before and the breakfast this time was not as good as the last time we stayed.
A nice hotel in centre of Roveretto. the room and evening meal were very nice. We even had tea/coffee making facilities
nice atmosphere, surroundings, to small TV set, beds in upper floor (we stayed in 4 beds apartment) were small
Nice hotel with very friendly personnel. Good room price for that location and quality. The sauna and the pool are very nice after a rainy autumn hiking day. The sauna is pretty good even in Finnish standards. Rooms are clean and ok, a drying radiator in the toilet is good for wet clothes. Breakfast ok. Quite limited restaurant services in the evening, only a small bar. This was the low season and dont know if the case is different in the summer.
Walking distance to lake, fantastic setting, large, clean, modern rooms, late check-out, helpful staff -
the ventilation from the room is very noisy and you cannot sleep well. no restaurant and they offer you a room service, you can order pasta but they don't tell you that are frozen pasta's and warmed up. you are happy that you can order also they have no TV. only video on demand.
Good location. Effecient yet friendly. Nice and warm inside as it was very cold outside No
Very good location, clean and nice rooms, excelent food in the restaurant, the breakfast was a little limited in choice, but still ok. No.
clean, friendly stuff, exellent location, very close to the lake, breakfast was good room was very small & dark
it was perfecty situated for sailing, windsurfing, biking or just strolling the lakeshore. Plenty of restaurant choices nearby.
Asked for a single room with gardenview but got a room with lake (Garda) view. The hotel is directly at the beach of lake Garda, next to a windsurfschool and - facility. Excellent when visiting Torbole/Riva del Garda (north side of lake) Room was just a room, nothing more. Small bathroom en simple facility, but it was enough and good for the low price.
The views are very impresive - good small but good swimming pool. Quiet. Breakfast quite good Only go if you are a cycilist or have a car. The only road leadind to nago which isnt by the lake is a busy dangerous road with out a path even then path down to lake is quite rocky. I do tnot think that this was clearly stated- we wasted a lot of money on taxis
Friendly staff, free organised bike tours (need your own bike), ok pool, fantastic view, nice breakfast.Clean. While room (single) was clean, amenities were rather minimal even for Italian standards. Small shower. No airconditioning (they prob never thought they would need it.. climate change requires even mountain hotels to rethink their clients cooling needs). Few accessories (only one small soap bar for example and not changed when past its 'use by' date). Perhaps i simply needed to book a more expensive room to get these 'essentials'.
Very friendly staff and a very beautifull place to relax. The beds have house dust mites so be carefull....Otherwise great. Not to forget the very rich breakfast.
v helpful and friendly staff no
Fantastic View of Lake Garda and Staff made us feel welcome. Room was clean and comfortable.
not much Firstly the hotel was completely out of the way with nothing anywhere near it. One of the reception staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. The air conditioning system broke down after 3 days and although we were assured it would be fixed the following day it still wasnt fixed when we were leaving 3 days later. The cleaner in the hotel thinks she is running it. She was telling us when she would clean our room and the reception staff asked us to vacate the room bfore 11 if we wanted it cleaned. So basically you have to get up early every morning if you want your room cleaned. And when we didnt and asked for housekeeping the cleaner started ranting and raving infront of us. By far the worst place we stayed in,
The view was fantastic, the staff was smiling and very helpful
Very nice and clean rooms, absolutely gorgeus view from the room balcony, from all the common areas terraces and from the dining room. Over all tastefull design and detail to guests comfort. The grounds of the hotel are very relaxing and inviting for exploring. Excellent breakfast - wide selection of food. The signpost for the hotel is almost invisible - easy to miss. The road is a little busy during the day - but it gets quiet in the evening and is down the hill from the hotel.
To be honest, the room was ok, it had a very high wood ceiling which was covered in cobwebs. To me, that is awful, i hate creepie crawlies and that was such a big put off - the bathroom was tiny and in all fairness, the place was overrun with spiders, earwigs etc. Won't be using this hotel again. It was located basically in the middle of nowhere. About half a dozen places to eat further down the road but not fantastic. View from our bedroom window was good but is a bit over-rated on other reviews. However, that is my opinion and not necessarily everyone elses. Tiny bathroom, overrun with creepies
Beautiful view from hotel, very welcoming and helping staff, nice equipment our room was without a view
