Nice interior design. Friendly staff. No
Hotel owner was the friendliest ever - he was so nice! Lovely outdoor pool, lovely view from room and breakfast room. Very friendly hotel - will definitely return and recommend to friends
Everything was well run and all of the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Lovely hotel, short walk to main part of town. Staff were friendly and very forgiving of our not being able to speak the local language. The facilities were great and well maintained. The rooms were unbearably hot in the afternoon however we were experiencing a bit of a heat wave. The inside pool temp was too cold (the outside pool was lovely though). We were not able to take advantage of the great onsite restaurant as they didn't open until 7:30pm which was too late for our toddler.
Bed uncomfortable, pillows big, hard and not down or feather. Room not what we expected (very small, not what we call south facing except on balcony).
Convenient, nice rooms, great breakfasts.
The attention to detail, especially to the children
Front desk staff and owner could not have been more helpful, nice breakfast each morning (fresh apricots, fresh plums, eggs cooked to order, local cheeses, baked goods), beautiful location, owners have a yellow lab whom my child adored, room was rustic but very charming, clean, and nicely done, good bed, nice balcony for sitting and looking out. Internet service, while free, was spotty, so almost impossible to stay connected. Parking is tight (free but not enough available spaces for all guests). No air conditioning. Windows don't open in the two-story room, but the door to the balcony provided some relief. However, my son who slept upstairs with no opening windows or door, was very hot (in July), so we had to move his mattress downstairs on the second night.
Excellent staff and facilities. Well located for the bus stops and easy walk to town and the nearest telecabin. Would definitely stay there again. The beds were a bit small.
A well run, friendly and relaxed hotel with good amenities and fantastic setting. Madame Directrice was a little unfriendly when we pointed out that they had charged us for too many breakfasts.
Perfect for families with children, very good location, very good value for money, excellent team and services offered. They could improve the the amenities in the bed room.
Nothing. Unhelpful on reception.Beds very hard, uncomfortable. Very basic drab room, not as shown on website, as was the hallway. Certainly not a 3 star hotel.
charming accomodation and surrondings .stunning scenery, peacefull and relaxing but adventure/sports available.very helpful staff.highly recommended.
I am 50 and I stayed at the hotel with my 22 years old daughter for skiing. Nice cosy hotel, fine rooms (small but not tiny) with nice bathroom, well maintained, super staff, very helpfull and polite, speaks english very good - could not be better. The breakfast was ok and the dinner was superb. good ski room with boot heaters. 2 mn walk to the free skibus, wich also goes to the centre of Morzine.
Enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel and foremost the room, especially the hide away bed in the top of the roof for my children. Perfect summer location. Breakfast was tasteful and staff friendly.
Great chalet, unique rooms, clean fresh and great views over Morzine. Would definitely stay again and again!
Beautiful facility, quiet location and staff who were very considerate. No internet service in my room.
Stayed at a family room which was very clean and looked nice. Well maintained. There are a good jaccuzi and sauna at three star hotel! Restaurant was closed, so we should have been down to the center.
Good location, charming hotel, good cuisine (although somewhat experimental which is sometimes risky), staff/service in restaurent excellent. -Noisy nights/interruption of night sleep because of pub at basement floor: unacceptable for 3star hotel. Moreover the management did not really care about the situation. -Manager of the hotel very unfriendly, indifferent and not proactive in information sharing: very much surprising he did not care about his hosts and had a very arrogant attitude. -Fireplace only lit during the weekends? A pity since it took away much of the charm. -Sauna/jaccuzi/swimming pool: unpractical booking system, swimming pool not open in wintertime (whereas indicated it was) and not always extra towels available and bathrobes only available for suite room. -Restaurant: no sparkling water available during 4 days... No pragmatic solution available in the meantime, not in line with 3star hotel standards, to my opinion.
freedom to come and go, access to excellent walks, swim, view of mountains, access to town. Polite friendly staff. Quietness (Sept) minor :unable to make a warm drink in evening
I enjoyed coming back from a day on the bike on the mountain and relaxing in the jacuzzi looking out over the bottom of the slopes and watching the paragliders fly around. The room and the rest of the hotel are beautifully decorated and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is expensive, so we instead had breakfast in the local cafes which are plentiful.
The location was very good with a magnificent view as the hotel stands a bit higher than the rest. It was also very quiet and comfortable as well as very clean. Overall we had a nice stay as our room was very cosy and warm. There was no wi-fi and no lift.
Excellent rooms - spacious and modern. Hotel was virtually closed down (for 2 months before ski season starts) Disappointed no restaraunt and bar open in the hotel. Continental breakfast in room ok but expensive for what we got.
Friendly staff, central location. Excellent restaurant 'L'Atelier' with superb food in beautiful dining room. Comfortable room. Lack of a shower. I would have thought these days most people prefer to shower than take a bath.
practical. near the center. However the name is not very visible so we couldnt find the hotel easily.
Location of this hotel was fantastic, right on the central square of the town. Very handy for the local bars and restaurants.
Location Location Locaiton. Owners seemed nice. Fairly typical Morzine chalet style hotel, in a classic junior suite the decor was very dated, a hand held shower in the bath, very poor sound insulation between rooms. There was a wedding the night we stayed - I would have appreciate being told about this in advance - load music was paying until 1am which you could hear all throught the hotel
All the staff we're very helpful and curtious on our arrival I wasn't as happy with our room allocation so they we're very happy to show me another which was the one I'd seen on the website and wanted so all resolved in the end. Our Food was exceptional in the Resturant! Even though I believe this hotel is a non-smoking hotel there was a smell of cigarette smoke up on the landing which of must of risen from the Reception area in the Hotel and my husband actually saw the lady owner of the hotel smoking at reception which was not good! Also beds were quite hard!
Very good value, excellent food with interesting five course dinners and a great fondue Savoyarde on one evening. Lovely clean newly refurbished room under the eaves on third floor with beautiful wood ceiling and a fab walk in wet room type shower with loads of hot water. Comfortable beds too. Fantastic ski to the door location next to the Morzine lift and 'road train' stop for the Super Morzine / Avoriaz lift just outside the ski room. Free underground car parking a bonus in bad weather, especially if doing the Geneva ski weekend thing. And the pool was great to use after a days skiing as well. Perfect really. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, no spoons, machine made coffee, weak orange juice etc. but the hotel was such good value and the dinners so good it didn't matter. Not keen on TV's being on all the time in lobby, dining room and so on.
great location literally next to pleney ski lift , basic but very functional , all thats needed for skiing or summer sports.staff good owner very helpfull , we had a great time & would definatly stay their again
We were very pleased with the staff, the rooms and the food (half board recommended) Prefer to have a hook to hang the shower wand so that one can take a shower rather than a shower bath.
Good location, close to amenities. swimming pool in pleasant garden area. Bedroom dark and a bit dingy, bad lighting (couldn't find clothes in wardrobe or see to put make-up on!). No hook for shower. Basic buffet breakfast, no variety - got boring by end of week.
Very friendly service, simply, but clean rooms, sauna was available! Very good value for many, if you do not plan to spend time in the room. -
enjoyed the location and the facilities very much. a BIG + for the pool in summertime :)
The location was lovely as we had a room overlooking the river. The restaurant was excellent and the service very friendly. The beds were a little bit small and not terribly comfortable
nice views, nice part of town, not too far from ski lifts, good intrnet, friendly staff although they speak very little english good food although i would have liked more ample free parking. slightly expensive and a bit cold in the room.
The evening meal was very mediocre (bland food and poor quality cheese and meats). The rooms are in need of refurbishement, and are not at all soundproof. Also, it was obvious that certain staff members were smoking regularly in the establishment. The reception are and communal toilettes smelled heavily of smoke.
Extremely helpful proprietor and staff. allowed early check in so we could change and go skiing, also allowed us to use facilities the afternoon after checking out to change out of ski gear before heading to geneva. None
The staff were helpful and accommodating. The room was small but clean. I was glad there was a bath rather than just a shower.
Good location for ski slopes right beside cable car to Avoriaz. Clean and friendly. Good food. Rooms tiny-even quad/triple rooms.Dreadful shower. Very expensive for standard of room. Swimming pool/jacuzzi and sauna all separated from each other and disappointing.
Location, kitchen, rate for weekend break We did not find the (young )management very friendly. No smiles, no interest shown. Not the type of hotel that made you feel welcome. Restaurant Staff was friendly and helpful!
friendly staff and a fantastic location, will definitely go back very charming room, if anything just a bit old.
Pretty room, quiet location, no traffic noise, easy access to the mountains. Good quality food for supper. Not a very jolly hotel, with indifferent service. Not acceptable to have coffee at breakfast from a machine. Could only play table tennis if you either brought your own bats or purchased them from the hotel.
The hotel had excellent facilities, with the outdoor pool, and indoor hydro pool. Large sunny garden with sunbeds etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were buffet style with lots of choice and variety, and very relaxed. A minor point - would have appreciated an opening window for ventilation, as there were only french doors, or maybe some form of air conditioning, as we stayed in summer season.
The layout of the bedroom was cosy due to the wood panelling (although a little cool at times). The food was outstanding and high praise was given to the Chef. The hotel is in a great location; next to a ski hire shop and cable car station. Overall, very picturesque, staff were welcoming and amusing, and fantastic for skiing or walking in the Alps. The whirl pool and sauna would have been better next to each other and no robes or slippers were provided.
location to lift was excellent. the hotel was noisey in early in the morning (from 6am !!!)
Lovely views and not too expensive, it suited us for an overnight stop to see friends No internet in rooms, rooms very small
Friendly Staff, comfortable rooms. Getting back in the hotel at night!
Food and freiendly
We didn't know what to expect from a chalet in Morzine; stars aren't reliable indicators because they're all around the 2/3 mark. We were there for the thrills of summer sports and mountain biking and in all honestly we expected a bed and a bit of grub. What we actually got was an absolutely lovely little chalet, with simply fantastic staff, and - I'm not a foodie by any stretch of the imagination - but the food was phenomenal. For half-board dinner, there wasn't one night that we thought about trying a little restaurant somewhere down the road. There was no point; dinner was - and I can't stress this enough - fantastic. Don't be daft. It was awesome.
In general everything very nice. Only the wifi was broken in large parts of the hotel, so I could not access it from my room. That was a bit of a hassle. According to the hotel manager (who was very nice) they had had a problem due to a storm a few days before my stay. Very good breakfast (for French standards) and excellent 4 course dinner.
The breakfast and dinner were great value and the hotel staff were always helpful and responsive.
Good location. Very helpful staff. Clean facilities.
Food is first class, especially the cheeseboard. Renovated rooms are nice, the swimming pool and Jacuzzi are a welcome feature after a hard days skiing. The staff are extremely friendly , helpful, and speak good english. Highly recommended for a half board ski hotel, in a great location for the main ski lifts.
Hotel was fairly clean, room small and functional, in need of updating but fit for purpose. If taking a bike (especially a large downhill bike) there are curved steps to negotiate down to the bike room, so not easy to get in and out. Reasonable location, easy ride to lifts. Slightly limited breakfast. Nice swimming pool and garden. Would recommend as a good value hotel to stay when in Morzine. Could just do with a big of updating, slightly more choice for breakfast would be good. Easier access to a bike store.
I like the food which it was good ,i like to ski and the skiable domain.
We had to cancel the booking at short notice due to a cancelled flight. The hotel helped us rebook and did not charge us any cancellation fees. When we got to the hotel the staff where absolutely fantastic. The pool was great after a days mountain biking. Location is near to lifts, closer to the Super Morzine than the Pleney. I regularly visit the area and this was one of the best places I've stayed for location, value and facilities.
