10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house has been beautifully restored to a number of rooms. We stayed in the Orchid room which was really lovely.Nice little touches from the owners , Ian and Margaret, home cooked brownies and chocolates . Security of the rooms was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was great and was made up of eggs from the chooks out the back and a lot of local produce. Ian was a veritable mine of information on the history of the property and the town in general which was very interesting. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it highly.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable and spacious semi-rural retreat within a short drive to restaurants, shopping and places of interest. Great for a relaxing escape.
6.8 Good
Pros: Space, good quality finishes, bed linens
Cons: 1, It’s super quiet area as we expected have a great sleep. 1st night there was annoying buzz irregularly happened all night, we had to put ear plugs to sleep. 2nd day we called them and told them about buzz, they came back said it probably was air-con, they couldn’t fix it on Sat evening which is understandable, they suggested us to turn off air-con when we sleep. That’s it! Even not ask if we need a heater? Consider it’s probably under 10 degree overnight and how much we paid for every night, it was not great solution at all! 2, When we arrived and wanted to make a cup of tea, opened fridge door, found both water and milk were frozen solid. The glass water bottle even broken and fell out to glass pieces on the floor. We guess it must previous guest left fridge in coldest mode but no one checked. When we told ladies who delivered 2nd morning breakfast to us, no offer with new bottle of water or fresh milk. 3, The bath room design is nice and spacious, but not a single hook can hang clean clothes. The floor tiles need good scrub for dirty marks. 4, There is no anti-slip under Rug in living room, very annoying when you sit on sofa and put your feet on rug, but rug slippery and not stay. 5, There is no slippers in the room(we could not find), imagine in mid of night under 10 degree, no air-con, put ur feet on cold floor go to bathroom...thanks god bathroom floor tiles with heat underneath. We tried to find channel to share our feedback with estate but nothing in the room allow us to leave comments to help them improve. I am not sure if it’s because of their confidence or arrogance, the only channel they encourage us to leave comments is here on trip advisor. So here we are! Consider how much we paid and what we experienced in last 2 nights stay, we feel it’s not worth those money at all!! Unless they put some energy to improve their routine and service, we will not recommend this place to our friends!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The cottage, and view/location, is beautiful, and was a lovely, new way to experience Bendooley Estate. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom is stunning, and waking up to sunrise over the lake is perfect.
Cons: The main drawcard for me was the bath. I love taking long baths and was looking forward to relaxing with a book and soaking for at least an hour. The hot water ran out after filling the bath up halfway both times I attempted to have a bath and didn't reset for hours - this was super disappointing given it was the main drawcard for staying.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Roominess of the accomodation. Every amenity that you could want on a short stay, iron and board, microwave, tea and coffee facilities (loose leaf tea, cappuccino maker) heated bathroom floor. Ease of checking in. Only required a pass code which was sent to us by text.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The grounds and the accommodation were delightful
Cons: A table and two chairs were required for a comfortable breakfast. We did not realise that it was D.I.Y. Breakfast which was great but no one explained this.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent

Cons: could have provided eggs.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location and how lovely the room was
Cons: A bit expensive and not a full breakfast. Was nice though with the breakfast provided to be able to have in the room
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed very comfy. Heating worked will in Henry Lawson cabin.
Cons: Bathrooms should have some form of heating. Bathtubs not that comfortable - can’t really put your head back. They could do with two extra power points in the kitchen area. The sensor light in the bathroom is unnecessary and stays on for too long once activated. The heating in Banjo Patterson made a noice.

Pros: We have stayed a few times at Briars always good.
Cons: No Briars Inn, and it won't be around for quite a while by the state of the building. Having to go off site for most meals. No bar facility for the thirsty traveller.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location. Amazingly comfortable room. Property itself is stunning. A pond to walk around a chairs to sit on to catch the afternoon sun.
7.5 Good
Pros: The outlook from our room; plenty of space for storage of clothes etc; TV could be moved to suit best viewing position; plenty of space to sit on lounge away from bed; clean and comfortable; good lighting throughout which made reading easy; provision of plates and other crockery along with a microwave was great. Well set out.
Cons: Room was noisy due to other guests; our last night had a crying baby next door who cried from 1am until 3am so not restful for us. If we stay again, we will request that we are not located near families with young children; bathroom was very cold and had a draft when the light was on as the fan came on too causing an updraft. Bath towels were too small for adults....much smaller than the ones we use at home.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting, beautiful environment!
Cons: Disappointed that the tavern was still not open, as it was an enjoyable place to eat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room we had was spacious & comfortable with a very pretty view.
Cons: The Coffee in the room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was served a la carte for the hot dish and the usual serve-yourself for the rest, which was a nice touch. Our bacon and eggs meals were subsequently hot and just cooked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Set in a stunning location with rooms overlooking the lake and gardens, I found this property wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were well appointed with a king sized bed, air conditioning, additional heating, kitchenette (including microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery, etc), Foxtel, stereo system, dressing room, bathtub, separate sitting area, dining table, etc. The check in staff were beyond lovely and made me feel welcome from the minute we met. The grounds of the accommodation are picturesque with a gazebo, heritage buildings, the lake with its own resident ducks, walking tracks, tennis court and plenty of peaceful places to sit and take it all in. Highly recommended if you want to get away from it all for a few days - only a five minute drive south of the main shopping strip of Bowral.
Cons: I cannot find fault in this place - it was perfect! I will most definitely be back.

Pros: The gardens, the pool, location
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very rustic and charming
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: we loved the fireplaces dotted around the interior. the staff were all more than happy to start a fire place upon request. Breakfast was great, good variety and quality of food. the gym facilitates were excellent and the gym itself was nice and clean
Cons: I would say the TV's in our room weren't exactly the best. as usual with TV's in hotel rooms these days they tend to operate poorly. but this is not a biggie, we're not there to watch tv
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was located in a lovely position overlooking the garden and receiving the warm winter sunshine. The variety of breakfast options would have suited all tastes. Enjoyed the open fireplaces within the spacious common areas and enjoyed the outlook from our room onto the central courtyard. The surrounding gardens reminded us of our recent holiday to Italy and Slovenia. Lastly, there was no traffic noise.
Cons: Possibly the inclusion of block out curtains over the plantation shutters to stop light from getting into the room from external lights and when we were there the full moon.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Such wonderful and cheerful employees, especially Jason. So accommodating. Staff were very helpful and only too eager to please.
Cons: The heated pool wasnt warm at all. I thought the room would be bigger also, but still lovely and cosy. The fireplace is a must.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was superb. Breakfast was provided in a room that provided a nice outlook of the gardens of Milton Park. We were able to see native birds feeding on seed in a bird feeder just outside the window.
Cons: Milton Park is perhaps a little far from the towns that are near by. Although the hotel provides many things to do, so proximity to towns is not much of a problem if you are going there to relax.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, friendly and responsive staff.
Cons: Decor is a little tired and in need of updating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The wellness spa was sensational!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: very tranquil relaxing and enjoyable
Cons: the prices of the meals and cocktails due to the expense we had to eat out as we are just regular income couple maybe you could have some couples meal packages
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is amazing. The property facilities, grounds and gardens are spectacular and that was visiting in winter. We would love to visit them in spring. Staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful.
Cons: The deluxe room with garden views in which we stayed, was well worn. Whilst the views are lovely, some refurb would improve comfort and meet guests expectation of a “5 star” resort room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The people could not have been more lovely and helpful. A beaming smile greeted us and the service and amenities were excellent. Beautifully located and the children saw rabbits, kookaburras, cows, ducks and horses just walking around the grounds. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Dinner was excellent and the children’s menu was very good. Highly recommend.
7.5 Good
Pros: Large fires. Loved dinner. Lovely welcome. Ambience of property (though it was gale force outside and we didn't get to explore much).
Cons: Room was too hot. Would have liked set of sheets and blanket to regulate body temperature! Talking heat - the breakfast (eggs, bacon etc) was cold.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property amazing history fabulous service excellent accommodation will definitely be back
Cons: Cups and saucers with small plates not just mugs in the rooms
5.0 Okay
Pros: We booked on the reputation of the Peppers franchise. Our room was disappointing and comparable to a motel room. Bathroom had no space to put anything nor hang anything. Not even a hook to hang a robe. Customary tea and coffee and not even a package biscuit to go with. The lounge had no magazine, papers etc and when I asked reception I was informed that “ there was one yesterday but someone must have nicked it”. For a Manor house we found it lacked ambience. The grounds were neglected, with dead shrubs and a proliferation of weeds. While there is a drought it does not need water to clean up the entrance, pick up branches, and generally tidy up as any good gardener knows. It makes all the difference. We have a garden in the Blue Mountains, and in winter we spend time on garden keeping. Ie cleaning up leaves, picking up branches and twigs blown off by the strong winds. All together a disappointing couple of days.
Cons: See above.. make some improvements in the bathroom of room 51 eg hooks to hang a towel or robes. Add some biscuits to the tea and coffee available in the room. Clean up the garden entrance to reception which is not an expensive exercise. Include at least a Continental breakfast in the tariff. We paid $372 for two nights. With breakfast adding $28 or$23 if we booked the night before. Outrageous charge!
7.5 Good
Pros: Food and service was great. We appreciated being able to have a late checkout. It is a lovely area to stay in with short drives to surrounding villages, markets and dining.
Cons: The parking is quite a distance which is worrying from a security view point. We had to wait quite a while at check in which is pretty slow.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is loaded with old world charm, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The overall feeling is one of understated elegance, and the open fireplaces were beautiful and added to the comfort, much needed for a winter escape. We were upgraded to a room in the garden wing with a king size bed. it was very clean and the heater worked fantastically and made it very cosy. It was quiet too. The location of the hotel is very tranquil and serene, although not within walking distance to any amenities.
Cons: We didn't breakfast included, which was a shame, and therefore it made it a little pricey. However, we did order from the grazing menu one evening and the food was mostly good, except one of our party had the burger and it was undercooked. I recommend if you want prime position in front of one of the fireplaces, you jump in quickly and they are very popular.

The Imperial Motel - Bowral - Building
13
8.3 Excellent (755 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at The Imperial Motel in Bowral, you'll be a 4-minute walk from Corbett Gardens and 13 minutes by foot from International Cricket Hall of Fame. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel/Motel is very well located in Bowral's main street and an easy walk to all the shops. They have a good casual bar and bistro and pizzeria for lunch and dinner. They don't do breakfast - but a great café right across the road call The Mill Café which ticks those boxes.
Cons: No complaints at all . Maybe the bathroom was a bit "cool" in winter - didn't seem to have heating in there but no big issue.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, easy check in and out, exactly what you need for a simple stay where you need a reliable base.
Cons: Bathroom smelt a bit strange, potentially something in the drain. Didn’t impact us though as did not spend lots of time in the apartment.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is the second time I have stayed at the Imperial to attend a business conference held just across the road so convenience of location and price is great. Food at the pub is of a good standard and reasonably priced. The room did not have a kitchenette as such but there was a mini fridge, kettle and toaster so DIY breakfast is an easy option. The hotel provided mugs and plates but cereal bowls and spoons would be a bonus. :)
Cons: My main criticism (if you can call it that?) was that although the rooms were spotlessly clean the cleaning product used in the bathroom was a bit too strong. The room was well aired and I opened all windows on arrival but it was still quite overpowering... almost made my eyes water. Another thing to note (and this could just be that I am used to my quiet rural surrounds at home) is that it's not the most tranquil hotel. There was definitely no noise from the pub itself, but the stairs and breezeway outside the rooms are concrete and quite noisy when people arrive back at their rooms late at night and are chatting and laughing all the way up the stairs. Also, being across the carpark from the pub, the Cleanaway truck arrived early to take away the rubbish and bottles. Not a big problem as I was there on business and this hotel certainly suits that type of traveller. Lots of cafes and restaurants close by and supermarkets just a short walk. (* May just have been my room, but my TV reception was pretty jumpy... didn't really bother me as I only had the TV on for company but could be an issue if you actually wanted to watch something).

Pros: Bed was very comfortable, great views and friendly staff
Cons: More farm tours/activities would have made the trip even better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The studio was beautiful and warm and people friendly, the animals farm were great
4.5 Okay
Pros: The bed was very cumfy. Contact prior to arrival was great.
Cons: We stayed in the Superior Studio... We were woken by kids next door playing right by the window. I believe this studio should not be put on bookings.com or listed for accommodation when you have a full-time family renting the house next door. The family rent the house next door... so it is their right to have the kids play and enjoy their house. But it's not right to have it as accommodation for people looking to "get away" for a quiet weekend and you are woken by kids playing/yelling first thing in the morn. The toilet was not the cleanest either.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The accomodation was spacious for 8 of us. The price was great compared to other properties in the region during Easter long weekend. The house was clean with old time charm. The owner and staff are really nice and welcoming. The shop is full of local organic produce and not overly priced. The cafe is great. We had freshly laid eggs for breakfast which tasted superb. The farm tour was the highlight of the trip. Will definitely come back.
Cons: Two toilets would definitely help with the waiting when we have 8 in the house. Also it would be good to have brooms and vacuum cleaner around. The kitchen has wood bench top and I keep worrying about all the water we splashed might damage it when we cooked and washed up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The people were so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. The bed was comfy.
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely open fireplace, great country views and extremely helpful staff.
Cons: Dishwasher not working properly. No downstairs bathroom for three bedrooms.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfy The room was warm Clean cosy cottage Lovely host Will stay again
Cons: No chairs out the front to sit outside Kids next door waking us at 7 am on Sunday morning One lounge chair needs a throw very old and a tad smelly
6.3 Good
Pros: 4 bedroom house, 2 showers, 1 toilet. Plenty of room for kids indoors and outdoors.
Cons: Except for children's walk of 45 mins on a Sunday morning children cannot be involved with the animals. House neeeds more conveniences eg cloth to wipe down benchtops, coffee making machine, tray to cook on, extra toilet. Crockery is made up of bits and pieces,, some cups with obvious chips in them. Linen was clean but no washers.
7.5 Good
Cons: No bath mat

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: TV was very small, I thought that been a old style of hotel that the style would have flowed through to the rest of the hotel areas.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Could eat sleep and relax with the fires going.
Cons: The phone lights up and kept me awake.
6.8 Good
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: I was actually disappointed with my stay... The room was a lot smaller than i had seen in the photographs.. The bathroom extremely small... Hallway noisy... ... Was told it was a King room.... And it was a queen bed... Only one chair in the room and the floor was uneven... And very plain, thin, ordinary carpets...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place has the charm that many others just wish for. Sit in the plush chairs near the fire in the lounge and soak in the atmosphere while enjoying a local wine. For a little more action it could be golf or tennis or just walk the lovely gardens. The rooms are more than comfortable. Meals excellent.
Cons: Another night or two would have been great: next time. I don't see the need for the saleable items in the room. To me this is not good taste in such a homely place.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff very lovely and very professional and helpful. The breakfast people where able to advise about places in town worth visiting.
Cons: Dinner - was less than average. The lamb backstrap was tough. Two of the three said lovely when the waitress asked and then regretted the comment - given that three out of the four had this dish and each of us left a piece, and half the potato bake said it all. Given the pictures, price and setting very disappointing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: Room was very small
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location...some staff however did not go the extra mile ; had no idea of what was offered as activities; bar service not great. However overall weekend stay was good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The quietness, the feel, the friendliness of all the staff, the cleanliness. Definitely worth a c visit and next time I may let my husband bring his golf clubs!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Soup delicious
Cons: Bedside lights need to be strong enough so one can read in bed!
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and grounds are wonderful
Cons: Tired mustard coloured walls I. The lounge area is very dated ... being an interior designer I would suggest sage green and soft white would be far most suitable and uplifting

Cons: Nice place, but a tad too pricey for what you get.
6.3 Good
Pros: The grounds were good and had nice homely feel
Cons: Not big social areas and Restaurant seating was terrible not big enough for the amount of people also very expensive for what was delivered
7.0 Good
Pros: The bar was very nice for dinner and the food was lovely.
Cons: For what you pay each night, I think the property could be in better condition, it’s in need of an update. My parents also called a few times to ask a few questions regarding gowns etc because my elderly grandmother was travelling with us and the man at the reception was quite rude.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bar and open fire were very inviting. Breakfast was very substantial.
Cons: A little more detail to cleaning the rooms (e.g. emptying out the bins)

7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice building with lots of period ambience
Cons: Room had herbal tea bags only and staff not happy when asked for normal tea. When hotel is almost empty maybe upgrading your guests would create goodwill, but we did only book the cheapest room.Dont know about the food in the main restaurant but in the golf club bistro it was very poor.I did read a review of their weekend package which was glowing,so maybe it's just me. Richard.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very pleasant ambience. Woody very pleasant.
Cons: Small rooms A bit expensive considering small rooms. Breakfast included when booking, breakfast NOT included when booking paid for and confirmed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great spot, I should have got a bigger room. Ours was too small, water pressure was woeful, reports indicate this is not building wide.
Cons: As above.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The roo service meal was beautiful
Cons: Being an old building it was a little drafty, the heating was continually competing with the cold air leaking in around the windows.
4.5 Okay
Cons: Room was very small Bed was a double and very uncomfortable Bathroom clean but very small and needs some renovation We could hear the people above us walking around etc and the people next door showering The carpet was filthy and needs replacing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Close to facilities in town, a short walk to the supermarket, easy parking, quiet, rooms nice and warm , a short drive to Exeter Village market where Nullarbor Nights Knitwear had a stall
Cons: Minor design feature : Shelf over vanity basin, made it hard to brush one’s teeth
10.0 Excellent
Pros: V nice place. Dinner and service were excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are always the highlight - it is always a pleasure to come back.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old building but don't stay there if you are wanting large modern rooms. Relaxing outlook over the golf course. Bed was comfortable, room was warm, staff were friendly and food was good. Definitely value for money.
Cons: We always want bigger better rooms but for the money this place lacked nothing. Did get some noisy guests come in late at night but that's no reflection on the hotel just rude people.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Service was fantastic
Cons: Shower was very slow.
