10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully designed room with a feeling of authenticity and great views of the cliffs on the other side of the valley of the Tarn. Amazing breakfast with homemade products. Friendly and welcoming, very attentive hosts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing-great location, wonderful hosts. Best breakfast we had in France! Very comfortable room with a great shower. Try to give yourself a couple of nights here!
Cons: If you type the address given by booking.com into gps it doesn't take you to the right location, and takes you down some very old, very narrow streets. Just drive past the main village of Compeyre and you will see signs-or e-mail the property beforehand for directions. We arrived later than we had hoped and it was difficult in the dark.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed a quiet, comfortable room in a stunning and lovingly restored grand house. The common rooms are spacious, attractive, and very well-appointed and the hosts are very gracious.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just very neat and comfortable. The owners went out of their way to make our stay a very pleasant one. Just top!

Pros: What a great location in the Tarn Valley! The house and garden have been meticulously restored and we had a beautiful breakfast with local ingredients and lovely homemade jellies.
la Petite Boynarde - Rivière-sur-Tarn - Building

9.5 Excellent (114 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Anita & Pascal were excellent hosts. Breakfast was beautiful all home cooked bread and pastries Nothing was too much trouble Very knowledgeable about surrounding areas and places to visit and eat at Let very views from our balcony
Cons: Nothing to fault
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely couple who own property. Helpful about things to see.
Cons: Toilet between two other rooms so felt self conscious using it.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The owners really charming, very good breakfast, good location.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: If the rooms in La Petite Boynarde were larger it would almost certainly score a perfect TripAdvisor 10. The hosts are delightfully friendly and helpful. The location is central for a day trip to the Gorge du Tarn or the hillside, scenic village of Peyre and its spectacular view of the viaduct at Millau, and the road to the impressive ruins of the Chateau de Peyrelade virtually starts in the back garden. The house has a large external patio overlooking a small creek and stone bridge, an ideal location for a glass or two of wine at the end of the day. The dining room is very impressive with its enormous fireplace, even more so when the breakfast fare is laid out. The hosts go to a lot of effort with the breakfast, providing homemade cakes and jams. Anita also made some special gluten free pancakes for my wife. One of the best continental breakfasts we have had during our 4 week stay in France. The perfect score miss is almost certainly a result of the small rooms, hence the Petite in its name. Ours had a separate toilet and bathroom and a small balcony, with a table and two chairs, which increased its spaciousness. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The tariff was very good value so RECOMMENDED if you are not allergic to a small room for a night or two.
Cons: The hosts have put a lot of effort into the communal areas for the guests, the dining room and riverside patio, and into their continental breakfast but probably need to slightly upgrade the facilities in the rooms. They do not provide toiletries except for hand wash, or tissues and the towels are a bit small and thin. Tea/coffee making facilities are not available in the room, possibly due to space or power point issues, but they are available in the dining room. The 5.00 pm check-in is also a bit late for the travelling tourist. Minor negatives in many respects but they do create negative perceptions in a guest’s mind and are easily rectified. Still RECOMMENDED.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners although they spoke only little English - but that is our problem. Very good breakfast. Enjoyed meeting other guest at breakfast. I would certainly stay there again. As a bonus there was a hill climb in the village. Great fun.
Cons: Little disappointed that we didn't have an en-suite toilet and bathroom. We did have our own but had to venture onto the landing to get to it. Also parking was under a tree which dropped very sticky sap during the evening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pascal and Anita were charming hosts and La Petite Boynarde was a lovely place to stay perfectly placed for visiting the Tarn Gorges and Millau, with a wonderful breakfast too we couldn't have asked for more.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rooms, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast. What more can you want from a one night stop.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great! The hosts were such a nice couple and although we spoke no French and they do not speak English, we were able to communicate. We met 4 other couples staying at the B&B and all enjoyed a homecooked meal together the first night of our stay which was very good. The room was very clean and we enjoyed sitting on the tiny balcony attached to it. The location is great if you are interested in kayaking on the river Tarn as it is only a 4 minute drive to a company called Aqua Soleil which offers a 8km or 16km run. We really enjoyed our time!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Each room is unique and clean. Anita and Pascal put a lot of effort to make visitors feeling home.
Cons: Not speaking French creates a major difficulty in this accommodation. The breakfast is good for the ones liking sweat stuff (jam, cake etc) but some hearty items are missing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was perfect for us. Quiet, comfortable, tastefully decorated. Our hosts were charming, very welcoming and helpful. Very good breakfast too.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: There simply is not anything we did not like; this property exceeded all and surpassed every expectation we had. From the moment you arrive you feel welcome and very spoilt. After a quick show of the property you are shown to your room and there the indulgence begins! After a long ride we both plunged into the swimming pool with fabulous views. We ordered the evening meal on booking and I have to say, the meal was excellent and once again, exceeded all expectation. We dinned with the hosts and guests and had an absolute blast from beginning to end. I was in my element as I love dinner parties and indulgent food :) We will be back one day and fill the house with more friends...........!
Cons: Leaving!

Pros: Great location, welcoming friendly staff, really good food. Stayed 2 nights, sad to leave. Hope to come again for a week! Great for nature or adventure sports lover.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The unique, rural location and surroundings, the attractive, bright, spacious rooms and luxury bathrooms, very good breakfast, the very good restaurant, the very large terrace on one large bridge, the rest on the sun loungers by the spacious swimming pool, the rustling of the leaves and the rapids in the Tarn on the sun loungers right on the banks of the Tarn . . . and the particularly friendly and helpful staff and employees . . . makes Hôtel de la Muse et du Rozier to . . . . . . . MY MOST FAVOURITE HOTEL!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel on the river with incredible views, wonderful breakfast and dinner, friendly and accommodating staff. A wonderful stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is absolutely amazing. The views from the Gorges du Tarn are fantastic. You can choose the transparent waters of the river or the peaceful pool and just relax. The rooms are very comfortable and really well decorated. The restaurant is perfect, because of the location, in an upper deck with views from the river, and because of the food. We will definitely come back and spend more time in this gorgeous place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view on the river.

Chateau de Lugagnac - Rivière-sur-Tarn - Outdoors view
7
9.0 Excellent (122 reviews)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The property was really different, peaceful and quiet and away from it all. The room was huge, as was the bathroom. The hosts were lovely, they had only a little English but they made us welcome. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Our room was quite dark, and the floor was very creaky! We would have benefitted from a fan as it was warm at night and it was a bit hard to get air in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very easy to book. Apple maps will take you straight to the door. Stunning location and building. The kids were delighted with their room inside the turret. Delightful family running the place - Frank and Caroline are really nice and eager to please. Table d'hote is highly recomemnded. Multiple courses (too many to count) of delicious home-made food with excellent company. Surrounding countryside is amazing.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A superb property set on a hillside above the gorges, full of character and history. Operated by a delightful family. Excellent breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience of staying at the Chateau was incredible. We could not rate any higher.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: STUNNING VIEWS FROM YOUR VERY OWN CHATEAU ON A HILL. CHARMING PERIOD PROPERTY WITH VERY NICE OWNERS.
Cons: NO FOOD / DRINK AVAILABLE WITHOUT PRE-BOOKING (THIS WAS NOT CLEAR AT THE TIME OF BOOKING) SO AFTER A VERY LONG DRIVE, WE HAD TO GET BACK IN THE CAR TO THE LOCAL VILLAGE FOR EVENING MEAL. (THE OWNER DID GIVE US ONE BEER EACH AS A GESTURE, WHICH WAS NICE).THE BREAKFAST WAS OK OVERALL - WITH SOME NICE HOMEMADE TOUCHES., AND SERVED IN A BARONIAL HALL.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved staying in a French chateau. Breakfast was amazing... beautiful homemade jams, baking and local produce including a basket of freshly picked cherries! Family very friendly. Frank was exceptional at looking after his guests. He spoke much better English than our limited French. We appreciated swimming in the pool - very hot when we stayed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: If you want some peace and quiet then you are going to the right place. Spacious rooms and ideally placed in the Gorge de Tarn for day trips out and about. If you are not into walking then you will require the car for anything you want to do as the chateau is fairly distant from the main road in the valley.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It's a castle so don't expect all the twentieth century luxury and comfort as it would spoil the whole experience. Large room with seating & table, amble original wardrobes, magnificent on-suit marble bathroom in the tower with views across the Tarn valley. Comfy bed slept like a log, spoiled for choice at breakfast with plenty of homemade jams, cakes and flans plus the usual eggs, cheese, yogurts, breads etc.
Cons: Leaving
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing restored 14th century French castle. Magnificent views and great hosts.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The novelty of being in a 14th century castle and welcoming & charming hosts
Cons: Once that novelty wore off - the shortcomings were brought into sharp focus ie 2.5km tortuous road leading to the property, very hot bedroom - especially without an electric fan and inability to open the windows, dirty pool area, no change of towels after day 1 ( call me old fashioned but even a decent B&B should change over the dirties ) and inadequate breakfast Not “vfm” in our book

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Dinner at the terrace facing the river was great tastewise and landscapewise!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Beautiful location
Cons: It was 36 degrees. The hotel room was unbearably hot. No a/c, not even a fan in the room. Couldn’t sleep as it was far too hot. I felt the room was a little dated and the food a little disappointing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location over the river
Cons: No fan or air con in bedroom
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location and view. We very rarely stay at 2* hotels but made an exception as the restaurant is supposed to be very good and glad we did. Lovely room which I initially thought would be very hot at night but was assured the temperatures would drop and they did, so very comfortable night apart from the fire alarm going off outside our room. Good meal on balcony overlooking the gorge....enjoyed our stay.
Cons: alarm going off .....
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent restaurant and excellent service by the staff.
Cons: Bedroom was very small, bathroom and separate toilet even smaller. However very clean, comfortable bed and great views over the river to the hills. The room therefore was a bit expensive for what it was.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Food exceptional, dining room staff attentive and had working.
Cons: The bedroom could have been a little bigger and toilet easier to use.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The people and the food.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: outside could be tidier but it was at the end of the season.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are simple but tidy, clean and well equipped. Some renovation is to come for the next season! The restaurant is the best part: homemade wonderful fresh food with a personal touch!!! Very generous and at quite a fair price. The whole business is a family affair so the owner and his daughter are very welcoming and nice. Not to mention the pack of activities around it: all very interesting and easily accessible from the hotel. Just give it a try!!!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Plenty of parking. Only staff member we saw was friendly. Ensuite and bedroom were spacious.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful.
6.8 Good
Pros: Relatively cheap room for one night stay for tourists with car. The house is quite old and authentic, it gives a clear picture how people lived here years ago. Nevertheless the room was clean. When we came in the evening after dinner, all parking places were occupied and the owner gave her private place for our car. The breakfast was fine and big enough.
Cons: The shower was in the room, which is unusual. Poor wi-fi connection.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had booked a double room. Upon arrival we received the key for a room on the 2nd floor. The room had been occupied before by someone else. Immediately we received a key for another room, with apologies, on the 1st floor, a twin room (more expensive). Staff is very friendly and room was very clean.
Cons: Breakfast is not included, it is 9,50 euro p.p. it is a good breakfast, enough choice.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location made up for many small faults; as a stop-over, it was 'adequate'; a longer stay is a different matter. The 'auberge' is very small and clearly a converted house but this adds a bit to its charm. The owner is a very welcoming, straight-talking and friendly lady, however.
Cons: White-wood furniture from Ikea bargain basement is ok in a toddler's room: in a hotel where you pay for the privilege it is out of place. Niggly details that could make the difference abound...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Francesca was a wonderful host, very welcoming even though we made a late reservation, she greeted us and was helpful with local knowledge and sites.
