Pros: The hotel was in a good position for access to the town and to continue our onward journey the day after arrival. The rooms were adequate although getting a little tired, and there was a function going on meaning there were no hotel facilities to enjoy a drink in the communal areas.
Cons: There was a blatant attempt to overcharge the bar bill we had incurred making the experience a little untrustworthy and not a place we would want to rush back to.
Pros: Very clean, near town centre, comfortable room well decorated with a modern feel. We arrived on a wet Monday evening and their cafeteria served simple freshly cooked food which was tasty, so very pleased we didn't have to trudge around town looking for food!! Excellent breakfast included in price. we ate pineapple, belong, oranges but there was also a choice of cheese and meats.
Pros: Clean Clean Clean. We had been 27 hours in transit and easily found hotel in central town! Check-in a breeze! Hot Shower and good recommend Cafe for dinner! Quiet night with great breakfast and we were on the road to Sarria for the Camino!
Pros: Stayed here before as a stopover between Santander & the Algarve. Very clean and comfortable with a good choice for breakfast. Near the centre of town with shops and restaurants nearby. Highly recommended
Pros: Location, free parking on the other side of the street, big room.
Cons: Old bathtub and shower, poor breakfast
Pros: Big room (superior). Big bed. Jacuzzi bath. Nice toiletries.
Cons: No safe in the room. Air conditioning not that cool.
Pros: Breakfast was very good/variety convenient for walking into town pleasant/helpful staff given a bottle of water for next part of journey
Pros: Great hotel with spacious room, extra comfy bed and large bathroom. Excellent breakfast and reasonably priced bar service in the evening. On-street parking close by. The hotel is a short walk from the historic centre but also a short hop to the motorway. We stayed overnight on a long drive northwards but would be happy to return for a longer stay.
Cons: Still supplying toiletries and glasses in the bathroom with plastic wrapping - they have to find alternatives! Maybe the reception staff could have been a bit more "chatty", but that's just my preference!
This country house is located in the Castilian village of San Pelayo, 35 minutes’ drive from Valladolid. Well-situated for birdwatching, it offers a charming garden and a lounge with a fireplace. The rooms at Centro San Pelayo feature country-style décor, with wood floors and wooden ceiling beams. Each one has a private bathroom, a private balcony and a patio with great views. Guests can get food and drinks onsite. Centro San Pelayo offers easy access to the A-6, A-62 and A-11 Motorways. Zamora and Salamanca are both around 1 hour and 15 minutes’ drive away.
Pros: The best host I ever meet
Cons: Nothing everything’s perfect
Pros: It’s owner - super friendly. Good food. Excellent location. Very comfortable
Pros: The owner lady was really nuce and good chef.
Pros: We liked everything
Cons: The location was too remote and far away from the main town.
Pros: + Beautiful view from the room and terass with sun in the morning + Large good modern flat screen tv with possibility to connect chrome cast + Very clean bathroom + Beautiful building and decoration + A package of home made cookies for the journey was a nice toutch + lots of nice paths for walks near the hotel, small peaceful dirt roads and the forest. + it was nice to have a wardrobe - a proper place to hang clothes and put bags. + the salt stone lamp gave a cozy ambiance
Cons: - We got a twin bed instead of a double bed (in the booking confirmation it said double bed, width: 130-150 cm) We had asked for a double bed. Strange since the hotel wasnt fully booked. - the room didnt have a proper Tea/Coffee kettle, just a milk foamer. The water will not be hot enough for tea or coffee and it can only heat 2,5 dl so if you are two persons it will take a while before you can enjoy luke warm coffee together. - 20 Euro extra for two dogs in the room is too much. 15 Euro had been ok but not more. - only cash. Doesnt support credit card. - lots of dust under the bed and at the place for the cups, milk foamer and Tea box.
Pros: The scenery, the building, the veranda for relaxing in the sun.
Cons: The cost of the evening meal was shocking, also when offered the meal it was not made apparent that we would be charged for it on checking out.
Pros: We arrived to San Pelayo - Valladolid (Spain) last night for an overnight to keep going in our journey today, and let me tell you that we are amazed to find places like this one and people like Asunción, the owner of the hotel where we stayed ...
Pros: The room was spotless and comfortable.
Cons: The property is situated in a very remote hamlet with no shops to buy food for 10 miles. Going by the reviews we were expecting to be able to have an evening meal but were told by the proprietor that we had to travel another 10 miles to get something. We had travelled non stop for 3 days by that time and were bitterly disappointed. On our second day she locked us out of the hotel for 2 hours whilst she had a siesta. She had refused to let us take the keys with us so that we could get back in. Communication was poor but she made it very clear that a payment in cash was required as we checked in!! We have travelled many times throughout Spain but this was our most unhelpful experience yet. We can’t understand how she had so many reviews with a score of 9/10.
Cons: Only downside was that we were charged fir breakfast when it was included in the price. Was very difficult to communicate this.

Pros: great outback location, the design of the hotel and furniture in the room is unique, nice breakfast
Cons: stuff is not speaking English
Pros: Check in efficiency, beautiful room, magnificent hacienda-like premises, peaceful surroundings, horses close by...
Cons: Included dinner quality was poor : reheated lamb chops, simplistic salad.
Pros: Great breakfast Horse riding was excellent - thoroughly recommended. All levels, with specific expertise in dressage lessons. Rides through the lavender fields.
Pros: The architecture, the service and cleaning.
Cons: It's a beautiful and very clean hotel
Cons: The room we stayed at didn't have the heating on so it was a bit cold at the beginning. I guess it's a hotel more for summertime or spring.
Pros: Great staff, clean and quiet place. Very complete breakfast, dinner was tasty altough a bit expensive for Spain.
Cons: Maestro cards will not work there, had to drive 15 minutes one way and other 15 minutes back to reach an ATM machine.
Pros: Great service by staff and great restaurant
Cons: It was a little bit cold in the rooms (end November) and even though the hotel is almost new, it was difficult to keep the room warm
Pros: Beautiful location - peaceful and lovely. Great food at the hotel and great value for money in general.
Pros: The hotel was very clean and comfortable and staff were excellent, room spotless.
Pros: Hotel is very rural, decoration excellent throughout with plenty of inside and outside seating areas and grounds. Evening meal enjoyed in wonderful dining room, with good personal service.
Pros: Clean, warm and friendly room (as home). Staff very efficient. Great - traditional food- restaurant (dinner and breakfast).
Pros: Great rooms and price
Cons: Advertised with full internet connections, but this does not work anywhere in the hotel
Pros: The price (30 euros with breakfast), the calm environment. They have several paid countryside activities, like horseriding, quad rides, etc.
Cons: Dinner was expensive, its located away from a big city.
Pros: the contact with nature
Pros: Rural location
Cons: Lack of information about its facilities
With a stay at Palacio Rejadorada in Toro, you'll be a 5-minute walk from Colegiata de Santa Maria la Mayor and 7 minutes by foot from Dominio del Bendito. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
Pros: Beautiful old historic building, spotlessly clean room. Lovely cafe with an enclosed courtyard. Delicious breakfast. Safe place to store our bicycles.
Cons: The only negative thing which no one can do anything about is the church bells. They ring every 15 minutes of the day and night! Take ear plugs for a good nights sleep!
Pros: Location and heritage property
Cons: All good
Pros: Staying in such an historic home that had been made very much to today’s requirements yet still maintaining the charm of yesteryear.
Cons: Some loud noise at night
Pros: convenient location
Cons: breakfast could be better

Pros: Very convenient to the motorway but also in a lovely and quiet location. Lovely old building and comfortable room with nice view.
Cons: Sound proofing between rooms could be better although after everyone had settled down it was fine.
Pros: very nice parador, kind of in the middle of nowhere but in the wine region. need a car to get around and they have very limited parking
Cons: middle of nowhere, limited parking. facilities were nice but hot tub was not hot even after we asked and they said they would turn it on. service in the bar at night was overextended. took a long time to get refills on our wine and when it came it was practically thrown at us
Pros: Very comfortable bed and excellent personal welcome on arrival
Cons: The gym is awful. The equipment didn’t work so I would suggest not having one unless you’re going to do it properly. Today if a hotel advertises a gym I expect it to be a great hi tech work out space.
Pros: Paradors are always a safe and good value option, well located and usually in some lovely old buildings. You are always guaranteed a clean, well appointed room, friendly helpful staff and a good breakfast.
Pros: It was walking distance to the town.
Cons: The lounge was closed during our stay for a special event but we didn’t see any evidence of such.
Pros: Hotel fine for overnight stop on way to Ferry. Close to town. Pool looked lovely but weather was terrible.
Cons: Bed small. Breakfast expensive and ate dinner locally.
Pros: Beautiful grounds and room. Clean and comfortable. Good value for money

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, an elevator, and coffee/tea in a common area. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Very helpful staff.
Cons: The room was extremely over-parfumed and cold. There were no extra blankets. The floor in the room was a bit dirty.
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Good value for money
Cons: No restaurant but directed to another hotel opposite which was very good and reasonable
Pros: Clean and friendly with a good breakfast
Cons: No restaurant
Pros: Good location on the edge of town. Staff is friendly and room is adequate.
Cons: Bathroom smelled of urine. Toilette had not been cleaned. Fresh urine stains under the seat.
Pros: This hotel is easily accessed and very clean. Excellent coffee!
Cons: There is very little parking, which was full when we arrived. Our room felt a little dated and the shower was difficult to operate.
With a stay at Hotel Resort El Montico in Tordesillas, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Didactico del Encaje Museum and Royal Convent of Santa Clara. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lady in Reception was really kind and helpful. She told us she had spent time as an Au Pair in Kilkenny Ireland to help with her English whch was very good. We found out she also speaks excellent French! Room was cosy and we really liked the design of the hotel which is very unusual.
Cons: The food in the restaurant was terrible and expensive. The menu was quite adventurous but the chef was either incapable or could not be bothered producing it! Also, we felt the constant on and off of the lights on the corridor was escessive.
Pros: Great location straight off the motorway, ideal as a stopover, with good bar & tapas available. Breakfast was ok for the money ( cheaper than others we have stayed at) The hotel is huge with lots of nice seating areas , would definitely go again
Cons: Nothing to complain about
Pros: Good location for travelling, lovely large rooms which were clean and comfortable. Food and drink from bar good. Lovely lady on reception was really helpful with communicating with bar/restaurant staff.
Cons: Although this is supposedly a dog friendly hotel there are very few spaces you can sit with them. We could not go in the bar or restaurant and although we could sit near reception for a drink from the bar we could not eat there. We had to take food to our room which was fine but not as dog friendly as other places. The bar and restaurant staff did not speak any English and my Spanish is very limited. Luckily the lovely lady on reception helped to translate what we needed and sorted room service for us.
Pros: Comfortable large room
Pros: Ok and convenient for an overnight stop.
Cons: Poor food choice.
With a stay at Hotel Juan II in Toro, you'll be a 1-minute walk from Colegiata de Santa Maria la Mayor and 8 minutes by foot from Dominio del Bendito. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location of this hotel is EXCELLENT. It is next to La Colegiata, and a block away from La Esquina de Las Colas (best restaurant in Toro). The terrace of the Malaspina restaurant, the hotel's restaurant, is a great place to have a drink with an astonishing view of the valley. The staff are very lovely and accommodating. We were very charmed by this place. We will return!
Pros: Very cozy hotel, with beautiful decoration details and beautilful open hight views. Very close to museums, churches and mayor plazas and Wine tasting shops (Toro is a mayor wine maker town in Spain). The room was a nice size and with a nice size bathroom. The town is gourgeous to walk and visit. Recente new owers are doing a great job to made this hotel great! The front desk customer service was great and very helpful.
Cons: The Roman Bridge with waterfalls at the perimeter of the city is abandoned, lacks of maintenance, fenced and hard to reach it! Plus the flyes and smell from fabela's houses next to this area kills this turistic attraction (and fortunately not close at all to this hotel Juan II).
Pros: The rooms are spaceous, the bathroom is big. The view from the balcony is stunning. The location is perfect.
Cons: The walls are thin, and the fixtures somewhat dated.
Pros: The location of the hotel is lovely with beautiful views over the river valley. Our room was comfortable with two double beds. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but found lovely bars in the main square and an excellent restaurant - Carpe Diem - highly recommended. Nice breakfast in the main square.
Cons: Parking is tricky outside the hotel with cars maneuvering to get into the spaces, as the road is quite narrow. On arrival, there was no-one in Reception and we ended up phoning the hotel to draw attention to ourselves. The corridor where our room was located had a strong smell of smoke and some of the rooms were clearly "smokers". The swimming pool has steps only going down into the deep end so not suitable for anyone who does not like to go out of their depth though I suppose you could just lower yourself down over the edge at the shallow end. The bar/restaurant was extremely busy on a Sunday. We went there for a late night drink after dinner and the waitress had not heard of a wine that was listed on the wine list left in our room. All in all, expensive for what it was.
Pros: A lovely place to stay. Very comfortable and central to the town
Cons: Tricky to find because of all the one way streets
Pros: Beautiful large room, double aspect overlooking the river valley on one side and the Church on the other. Large very comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The room and the rest of the hotel very clean. Good, free parking right outside the hotel. The hotel is situated only a few metres from the main street with plenty of good bars and restaurants. We ate in the hotel restaurant on Sunday evening, there was a set dinner for 16 Euros, which included three courses, water, and a bottle of wine between two. Whilst the choice was fairly limited, the food was good, and at that price, a bargain. We had our pet dog with us, he was made welcome, and there were some good walks from the hotel. We will certainly return.
Cons: A fridge would have been handy to keep drinks cool, but other than that, nothing.
Pros: Excellent position in the heart of the old town, very close to bars, restaurants and shops. Although becoming slightly dated, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are welcoming and helpful and are on hand 24hrs. There are lovely views down the river valley from some of the rooms.
Cons: A fridge would be useful. On the night we stayed there was a lot of noise from a function in the downstairs bar / function room, which went on until 3.30 am !
A stay at Hotel Zaravencia places you in the heart of Toro, steps from Colegiata de Santa Maria la Mayor and 6 minutes by foot from Dominio del Bendito. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk.
Pros: Bed was extremely comfortable, manager very friendly. Family perfect destination.
Pros: This was the best room we had out of the nine hotels we stayed in (and they were all good). We had the top room at the front, with the floor to ceiling windows and it was spectacular. The quality of light in the room was outstanding - never been in a hotel room quite like it. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable in all respects. Great view.
Cons: Nothing I can recall.
Pros: Room good.
Cons: Reception area too public and parking poor for elderly .
Pros: Centrally located in main square , with a very interesting immediate environment. The staff were very welcoming and the room was very good. Excellent value for money. perfect base for visiting the old town.
Pros: Very welcoming, a lovely room at the front overlooking the Plaza Mayor. Although it was a Feria the Hotel Bar and restaurant remained open unlike a lot of the other places in town. Very friendly staff. Excellent Hotel!

Pros: Close to shops, banks, cafes and a lovely square. Comfy beds and nice room
Cons: Parking a bit far away but we did find somewhere within walking distance that was free.
Pros: Guest rooms located above an atmospheric restaurant. From the entrance door, stairs, price, and the restaurant itself you would expect the rooms to be very basic, but in fact they are not. They are more like a 3-star hotel with large comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. Good Wi-Fi connection.
Pros: Very good location for the town. We've been before. They could cater for gluten free diet.
Cons: Very slippery bath when showering.
Pros: We have stayed here twice before. The accommodation is basic, but scrupulously clean. The evening meal is excellent and well priced. The staff very helpful and friendly

Pros: Location, as it was near motorway.
Cons: Room was a little bit too warm even when heater was turned off and window was open.

Cons: The bathroom had hairs in floor trap. NO wifi in ROOMS. although was stated there would be. Stayed 3 weeks previous and was told then that it was being fixed urgently.

Cons: We like all of place very friendly and a lot of history
Pros: Close to bus station and parking availability.

Pros: Locations is excellent. Right in town and convenient for everything. The town is really pretty. The restaurant is a great evening meal for Half Board. Super value for money and served in a lovely environment. Excellent black out shutters and double glazing meant little noise from outside.
Cons: Maybe we could have selected a no smoking room but this is something to be cautious of when booking. We did not so there was a faint smell of smoke in the room and a clean ash tray.
Pros: Evening dinner was good.
Cons: The room was small beds against radiator walls dirty and bathroom smelly. Dis cover slats that support ma tress on bed were broken . Owner cut corners to save a few cents. Every third light was off which made seeing in corridors difficult

Pros: Handy for an overnight stay whilst driving cross country.
Cons: Maybe could do with a refresh.
Cons: They charged me for breakfast it was included
Pros: At the end of a long day riding 2 motorcycles, being a basic truck stop, everything was available. The bar, the restaurant and they also provided very secure underground parking for us. A good place to stop on the way to somewhere else.
Cons: The restaurant staff could have been a little more helpful, they weren't exactly busy when we went in.
Pros: Convenient for my purpose, I was travelling on foot on a Camino de Santiago and this place was well situated for a night stay following a 25km walk that day. Although basic and lacking in certain regards, I was never the less happy to be able to stay there.
Cons: Old and very basic. Personnel, with the exception of a young lady, was not friendly and didn't seem to care for customers with the exception of the truckers (the place is a truck stop).
