The location and the view was amazing nice swimming pool and terraces
This was a beautiful place. We had a very romantic room...balcony, view of countryside, tastefully decorated. Loved the big bathroom...very clean and well-kept hotel. The staff was helpful and spoke English...and tried very hard to understand our Italian! Beautiful area, and quiet, historic setting.
There is a lot of activities, we did quad over the ETNA Invasion of bugs
We rented a Jr Suite at the Borgo hotel for 5 nights. The staff were very friendly and took care of our every need even before we asked for it. All basic facilities were available and one has the choice of ordering half-board dinner by the day. The place is in a remote suburb called Mitogio very close to the river so close you'll be able to hear it. Dinner is occasionally provided at a hotel Casa Delle Monache or alternatviely at the Borgo hotel which provides a nice change of environment for halfboarders. The place is quiet remote and I didn't notice any public transport so be sure you have your own. Dinner is occasionally provided at a hotel Casa Delle Monache and I wouldn't advise walking there at night. Luandry service could be a lot better. No internet available. No eating or drinking in rooms.
The quiet environment and the lovely pool area. Good breakfast and well kept rooms. Poor TV reception
Good value for money and excellent location. Excellent breakfasts: dinner service also available. We would stay again if we were in the area. Not so much the stay itself - more the difficulty in finding it. Directions on the internet were a little vague.
Great staff and great food! Very impressive place! The
vERY NICE STAFF. Poor pool. Tennis course was not healthy.
Amazing location, great service, excellent restaurant, top price-quality ratio, great design of the room (masseria-like) N.A.
Fantastic location - easy to get to areas of outstanding natural beauty inland, the coast and more traditional resorts like Taormina. The Junior Suite was in a beatifully converted old mill building. The bed was comfortable, the room very sensitively upgraded and the en suite bathroom facilties excellent. Having to take dinner at a separate property at the time we were there was not ideal but this was almost certainly down to the fatc that the season hadn't really yet kicked in. The check in details and information were a bit sketchy. One had to locate a central reservation area at the entrance to the National Park and find someone who could direct you to the property which had been allocated to you - not a major problem but do be preparedto use a bit of initiative
We liked the inside and outside pools very much and the gym. Very few guests at the hotel so we had much space. We had dinner the first evening and the food was not good, not at all. They had no computer the hotel guests could use.
the fantastic helpful friendly staff at the hotel. the cleanliness and luxury of the bedrooms and of all the main rooms of the hotel. the beauty of the hotel the lovely golf club h ouse in an old villa and the amazing countryside and views of Etna. All in all amazing value for money. there could be more information on the surrounding villages what to visit and where else one could eat. Even th ough the staff couldn't be more helpful to answer any questions it would be nice to have this iinformation to hand.
Rooms, food, golf Court and Spa You have to pay for the SPA
Everything, just perfect! What else can be said? Just perfect! No
During our stay we had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was very very good. Golf was lovely, rooms were clean and comfortable.Restaurant staff was nice. Very difficult to find hotel. It was never stated that outdoor swimming pool was closed from the 15th of September. Indoor swimming pool was available only at a cost €24 per person for 3 hours. Breakfast only fair. Car essential.
The rooms are elegant and the staff is polite, breakfast was fair It's not easy to find the hotel at night,we didn't like the ambient of the restaurant.
Staff is very helpful. Breakfast in good, you can choose what you like. They prepare very good coffee for breakfast.
An excellent welcome from a very friendly host - Valentino. We will have a good memory of our visit.
The friendliness of the staff. They tried to accommodate all our needs, and where very good and friendly. And when the temperatures decreased, the heating was put on. Breakfast time was an excellent experience with the B&B owner and Dinner was excellent too, with a home cooked meals (pasta included every night) and a lot of food for a small person - excellent value for money. The walls are a bit thin :). Athough the room was pretty clean, we believe that room towel and sheet change could have been done more often :).
Very helpfull staf , this little bed and breakfast is very clean and comfortable very cloose to entna where is it possible found more alternativ and adventures escursion. The breakfast buffet is very good with warm quality croissant and more. Thank you for the nice stay .. ok
Nice stuff Very far from main roads , in evening veryu dangourous to drive ( naroww road 20kmh max) . TV in our room not work , very noisy .
the rooms had a very rustic feel and were very comfortable, the warm reception from the staff who made it feel like home and we enjoyed staying in the the village
The B & B is situated in a very quite village. The staff at the B & B was very helpful and the owner is a very nice person. Will definitley book again for a visit to Sicily.
Very helpful staff.
Staff were execllent, very helpful. Town is very old world, which you don't come across too often. Alot of history there. The rooms were cold, walls thin so you hear everything.
Unfortunately, a room in the main house was not available, so we had one in the adjoining building. I did not particulary care for the room, and was kept up by all sorts of noises in the roof. Breakfast was just ok. The location was good, and not too far from going to Mt Etna.
Beautiful site and lovely service. Enjoyed our stay immensely, thank you.
We liked it very much! A great place to stay and next to the (little) trainstation of Calebatiano. We liked the people that helped us very much! And can recommend this for everybody that want to see Taormina or the complete area. Very close to the highway (you can hear the sound very good), but this is in no way a reason to not go to this lovely place.
Guisy and Valerie could not have been more accomodating and friendly, and went out of their way to offer help. The location was beautiful - flowers, lemon groves, and views of Mount Etna. Secure parking and air conditioning were free. Convenient to public transport - train and bus.
The setting and surroundings are lovely. All was very good. Perhaps a clear sign stating the Name in Large letters would be of help.
The friendly and helpful attitude of the staff, Ms Giusy, impressed us very much. She gave us a warm reception as well as attending service during our stay. Easily reach Mt. Etna and beaches. There are good restaurants nearby. No TV in room.
Warm and helpful staff, big garden, very privat. Noisy
peace and quiet. opportunity to have dinner on one night of typical sicilian food. excellent and good value
Antico Borgo is a charming old building set in a lovely garden bursting with colour and surrounded by groves of lemon, orange and other fruit trees. It provides very comfortable, well-appointed accommodation within easy reach of Catania, Taormina and the coast. It is one of the most friendly, welcoming and hospitable of places you can imagine and just remembering it brings a smile to my face. Fresh orange juice for breakfast comes from fruit picked from the tree that morning. And the view across to Mount Etna is stunning. I loved the place and the people. I couldn't fault the hotel itself. The only disadvantage which others have mentioned is its proximity to the busy autostrada but the rooms are quiet and air-conditioned and the noise is not at all intrusive.
The grounds were beautiful and our room very comfortable although air conditioning would improve it. If you go on a Sunday the restaurant is not open. We did not know this and went there particularly for the sicilian food experience, which meant that we were very disappointed and had to settle for an over priced average meal in town. The breakfast was also not as expected, the juice was of the cartoon variety and yet we were surrounded by oranges, there was no fresh fruit etc.
Good location Very noisy (close to motorway), no air conditioning (only ventilation), the windows can not maintained open because the nise and musqitos
Friendly staff. The hotel is very quiet and comfortable. We strongly recommend their restaurant.
Veru friendly staff; very good restaurant; very clean rooms
All the hotel staff make us feel perfectly relaxed. we did not have to worry about anything, they even help us to organize excursions of the area in quad.... Great experience at the hotel. Great atmosphere.... we did not want to come back home...!!!!
The location is great. Castiglione di Sicilia is a nice place to stay away from the crowds of Taormina, but close enough to visit. The hotel is lovely and the attached restaurant is adequate for a nice dinner, just around the corner is a great restaurant, La Dspnesa dell'Etna. The Hotel room was large, with great charm and picturesque views of Etna, the Alcantara and Frankavilla. The beds were very comfortable. There is parking on the nearby square and the town is lovely to walk around. The staff was very helpful. I would stay here again. We had two children and the room was quite comfortable with all 4 of us.
So charming. Right off the square in a lovely Sicilian "hill town"
A perfect example of an Italian family-run hotel. Very friendly, open and attentive staff. Nice and generous rooms and very quiet surroundings, although in the centre of the upper village. Room maintenance and cleaning probably best we ever saw. Food and wine choice in the restaurant and really superb and worth a visit in itself.
Clean, large room(s) and very friendly staff. The food is delicious and for the people who plan to stay, try the homemade red wine; etna rosso. Is one of the best wines I have ever tasted.
Stunning position in an ancient mountaintop medieaval village. Large, modern and very comfortable clean rooms. Definitely recommended and excellent value. Excellent hotel restaurant with very good food. Close to Etna and other interesting sites. Breakfast could be improved with fresh rolls / bread to be added to the variety of cakes.
very good service, very friendly, excellent
Hotel Employee are amazing. We have been traveling since June 23 and this was our favorite place we stayed. This is more like a great B & B with hosts who want your stay to be super memorable and it was! Thank you for all you did for us!! We didn't mind, however, sometime they were working breakfast of picking something up and not at the front desk.
