10.0 Excellent
Pros: I am reluctant to call this a hotel it is like being a very special guest in this wonderful couple's beautiful and unique home. An interesting and imposing building perched on a hill with wonderful views towards the Alps. Rooms and communal areas are all decorated and furnished in a quirky way that reflect the personality of the hard working owner family. The food is special and with all the personal touches and home made additions the evening meal and breakfast served in a beautifully restored conservatory is an experience in itself. I highly recommend this establishment. Do it!
Cons: Sadly it was raining and a bit cloudy during my stay which meant my view from a beautiful veranda accessed directly from my room was tantalisingly obscured. Other than that it is impossible to fault anything about this superb establishment.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Genuinely wonderful welcome. Hosts were charming, the place was very comfortable and is in a great location, with fabulous views. Building has been recently tastefully renovated to a high standard. We enjoyed our evening meal, good quality French cooking with mostly local ingredients. We shared a digestif and a few jokes with our hosts, who also speak reasonable English. Very happy to recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is perfect. Beatifully designed and comofortable. Tought is in every detail from the lines to the soaps. Breakfast is great. One of the best places we have stayed in.
Cons: Lack of a possiblty to make tea or coffee in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Le Domaine de Dony is beautifully furnished from one local shop. We had booked our room, and on arriving were offered a different room if we wanted it. Both rooms were very different so it was a difficult choice, but eventually we selected the one with both a bath and a shower. Our hosts were very accommodating. Their restaurant was closed but a meal was cooked just for us, as we were the only guests that night. The food was different, and tasty. The mushroom soup with nuts and caramel crunch, has to be tasted to be believed. Very talented chef. The room was extremely clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable we had slept in. Highly recommend.
Cons: We could not fault the place or our hosts. There was nothing that we didn't like.

Pros: It was a really good place for family with 3 kids. Kids sleep upstairs on single beds and parents have one double bed. There are also a big garden with trampoline and whirlpool. A breakfast in the morning was served outside which was very pleasant and nice experience.
Cons: We didn't like access to the apartment through owner's living room so we didn't have direct access outside which was quite inconvenient. I would also appreciate if there is a key to lock the apartment from inside.

Cons: The three steps down behind a curtain that lead into our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were really friendly, brought us breakfast in the morning, which was really sweet. The location is so peaceful, perfect place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine in the garden.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay very much. The accommodation was perfect for our family of 5. It was lovely to be able to eat outdoors and for the kids to use the garden. It was also nice to have breakfast when we pleased (bread, chocolate cereal, orange juice, jam and butter in the fridge, coffee/tea and milk) and helpful not to have to do dishes in the morning! The bedding was good, and there were children's toys and books available to us.
Cons: There was a heat wave when we were there and it was indeed very hot in the studio. There wasn't much the owners could do, aside from installing a ceiling fan or an a/c unit. We had a standing fan, but our children had trouble sleeping for a large part of the night. Also, shades would be a nice addition.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely little find, very peaceful. The family who own it were very pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a lovely little gite and very well fitted. Set in a pleasing garden and very quiet.
Cons: The side of the studio has large windows, letting in too much heat, making it difficult to sleep. It definitely NEEDS sun blinds as there is no aircon. Otherwise I would have given a higher score, the rest was really good.

5.5 Okay
Cons: very basic breakfast, no TV in the rooms, no credit card payment, awkward smell in the house
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcome and a delightful country location
Cons: Didn't notice that they only take cash so I had to drive 20min each way to the nearest cash point after I arrived
5.8 Okay
Pros: It is very close to Grenoble Airport (20 min drive) The host was friendly and helpful The room is modern and has a boutique hotel look and feel. And the bed is big and comfortable The radiator ;) it was cold outside but it was warm in the room which is nice It was fun for children to look at the rabbit in a cage right next to the dinner/breakfast table, plus the donkeys, chickens and cat (outside).
Cons: The bedroom is split into two levels. The room has got an adjoining window with the bathroom, which is fortunately frosted glass. If you use the bathroom at night, the light beams into the bedroom (not good for your roommates). Additionally, there are 2 clear windows in the floor of the upper level of the bedroom, looking down into the bathroom, which isn’t private at all. Said bathroom isn’t en suite. The stairs to the upper level of the room are dangerous for small children. The radiator made on/off noise throughout the night The host warned us that he will be back home 45minutes after the beginning of the check in hours, so we had to alternate our plans to arrive later to the property. We were offered dinner at restaurant prices (20€ per adult and 10€ per child including wine) we were not asked what would we like or given any choice but we still expected a hearty meal for the money...it was extreamly overpriced for what it was (starter - microwaved pumpkin soup (in a mini bowl that is normally used for creme brûlée) ,salad leaves, bread, a bit of pate and several gherkins, main - plain boiled rice and also shop bought (not homemade) quenelles lyonnaise with sauce, desert - cheese (selection of 3) a piece of slightly burned cold apple pie and half a scoop of ice cream and tea, and we also drank about half a bottle of white wine). That was 50€ for 2 adults and 1child, who didn’t even like the quenelles, meant for the main he had a bit of plain rice! The breakfast was very sweet, no savoury option was offered (croissants (1per person), baguette, butter, home made jam selection of 4 (they were very tasty!!!) and for drinks there was tea, milk, hot chocolate and juice) In the listing it clearly stated that children over the age of 2 pay 15€ per night if using EXTRA BEDS. My 3 year old slept in bed with me but the host still tried to charge us 15€, luckily we discussed that and got our 15€ back.

Pros: Friendly welcome and very comfortable
Cons: You need a car
7.5 Good
Pros: The owners were very helpful but didn’t speak English so used a translator.
Cons: The owners were lovely but went out during the day so no one around. It would have been nice to have refreshments available in the room as we had no car we stayed in site and had nothing to drink. The pool was lovely although under a cover like a greenhouse. The place is very remote a car is essential but as we had to stay there for a wedding ended up using cabs for eating out which was very expensive. The taxi driver was lovely and always on time and recommended where to eat. Again no English but used her phone to translate!
9.5 Excellent
Cons: No coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

Cons: All great! No complaints whatsoever.

Pros: Used only as an overnight stop before flying out of Grenoble. Rural location but only 20 minute drive to airport. Lovely place, we arrived too late to make use of their lovely looking restaurant but she kindly organised a simple supper for us. Situated in a lovely area, they were setting up a Sunday Market as we were leaving in the court yard by the Church, would have loved to have stayed longer. Will definitely return if in the area

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely splendid location in tiny village, next to a wonderful Romanesque church, in a beautiful setting. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Only the beds were somewhat hard, but that's personal. Breakfast was great. Romans feels like a small haven far away from the 'real' world. Wonderful place.

6.8 Good
Pros: The very kind lady from the hotel
Cons: It was on a very bussy road and because of the very laud cars and motorcicles we can not sleep
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great town and great hotel
Cons: Hand held shower.. just need a holder screwed to the wall
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As with many other people before us, this was just a stopover. But what a stopover it was! Firstly, our navigation system in the car directed us through the narrowest, darkest roads. Still sorry about a young couple whose amorous solitude was so unexpectedly interrupted by us trying to navigate to the place. We arrived quite late but the host was very friendly and helpful. The room, albeit on the third floor, was very spacious and comfortable. A really spacious one, with a great bathroom. Some people complain that the shower has no curtain, I found it an interesting solution. The breakfast was very good, the lady who served it was very friendly. The place itself has a good location on the lake, so for those travellers who are in no hurry, take a walk to the lake. If you go along the same street as the hotel is on, when you reach the lake, continue walking past the sailing school and very soon to your right there is a stone bench ideally located to provide a very good view of the lake. We sat there sipping champagne we bought the day before and eating bread from a local boulangerie. Again, highly recommended quiiet and peaceful place. Could have easily stayed at Rossli longer if we knew the place was so good.
Cons: There isn't anything to complain about
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money, comfortable, clean and large room. Very friendly host. It was exactly what we were looking for in a stop-over hotel. So much better than staying in an anonymous chain. Excellent breakfast.

Pros: Very friendly service and a cozy property. Was just an overnight during a roadtrip, but seems to be a beautiful area. Great restaurant just down the street. Dog-friendly property. Safe parking in the back for our van loaded with bicycles. Great breakfast with croissants, cheese, meats, and yogurt.
Cons: Bed was a little on the short side
8.0 Excellent

Cons: I thought the price was a little bit steep but it would not stop me from coming back
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was absolutely perfect!
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Stylish room and en-suite shower room. Very pleasant host. Beautiful breakfast served in host's kitchen studio. Close to motorway and alongside town centre. Ideal for a journey stop-over.
Cons: Quite difficult to locate the house. Eventually managed to park on the street outside, but had got very wet in the pouring rain searching for the precise address on foot prior to that, despite sat nav, which told us we'd arrived...... Very few places to eat in the town on a Friday night. Eventually came across a Moroccan restaurant, which served plain, wholesome food - a relief (we were soaked through by then, having had to wait another half hour before they opened). It filled up very quickly - clearly the only restaurant open. Why, in such a strategic location?
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast in lovely room
Cons: We had a ground floor room which was smaller than the upstairs rooms & right on the pavement. If we stayed again, which we would, we would ask for a room upstairs.

The Owner was very helpful, providing extra pillows and a kettle when asked. There is the added bonus of an excellent restaurant next door.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner went well beyond the call of duty to take care of us after an unscheduled night stop due to a flight cancellation. Very generously we were collected from the airport in the snow and returned there in the morning when it became clear that transport would be difficult. We were provided with an exceptional supper at around midnight - and an equally exceptional breakfast this morning. A kinder, more positive individual would be hard to find in any walk of life. Thank you so much for looking after us!...
5.8 Okay
Pros: Friendly owner collected us from the airport and dropped us back to the airport. Nice local town with a number of restaurants, but if you are travelling with young children, don't expect to find much / anything open before 7pm. The restaurant next door to the hotel was nice enough - their menu was a bit sophisticated for my 4 year old, but they did their best to accommodate her with something simpler and she was happy!
Cons: No shower in the bathroom (just a shower attachment by the bath taps) so not possible to have a shower. Some extras were added to the bill without explanation (we'd been offered some slightly stale leftover croissants from the previous morning's breakfast, which we weren't expecting to be charged for and there was no mention of a charge at the time, which I assumed to be because they were leftovers which would otherwise be binned, but these were added to the bill). Also a charge was added for the airport transfers, which we'd understood to be included as part of the hotel's offering.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very helpful
Cons: Nothing really

Pros: I liked calm and situation. I really appreciated good road connection with Grenoble and neighbouring towns. Good value for money. Spacious room. Nice view.
Cons: Reception 24/24 wasn't a case. For those who have to check-out early, a nasty surprise (Reception works from 07:00 a.m.). Restaurant is closing early.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet and calm place. Sleeping listening the frogs was different and even a nice experience, pure country
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great scenery and ambiance. Excellent value for money. The personnel was very welcoming and accommodating.
Cons: Bathroom in my room was quite dated, I would recommend a refurbishment considering the quality level that the hotel is capable of offering. A small fridge in the room would also be a great asset. As well as a vending machines downstairs for night bites. Also, my room was at the end of the corridor and wi-fi signal was not good.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: cleam newly renovated foom BUT they could also have updated the bathroom -1980's standard

Cons: Very limited English channels on the TV.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome, our host was brilliant at English. He answered all questions and requests very quickly and charmingly even when we thought we lost the room key. The hotel has a private beach which is less than a minute away and lake Paladru is wonderful. The hotel is surrounded by great restaurants - not all French. Would we go back? yes but for a lot longer than the few days we spent there.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location by a beautiful lake with lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel has its own beach with a decent range of facilities, including a pier for swimming. Friendly staff who spoke English. Comfortable room with good beds.
Cons: There was no air-conditioning in the room, just a fan, which didn't do much to tackle the heat. The room smelt of smoke, and I wasn't aware before arriving that it was a smoking room. The WiFi didn't seem to reach my room, so I couldn't connect. I felt that the price was quite expensive for the standard of the room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast with plenty of choice and fresh ingredients. Comfortable room.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Close to the airport, WiFi good and owner tried to be hospitable
Cons: Wasn’t what we expected at all... we thought this was a small hotel or Gite... this is someone’s house and your given a room there. It’s clearly a B&B and it’s not well represented this way on the Booking.com web site. The website is not representative at all and the breakfast is tea and a helping of croissants. Again not what we expected. The rooms are dated and I don’t recommend staying here.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The generosity of Giancarlo. The nearest restaurant is over 4 miles (6km) away, and he volunteered to drive us there. He also asked the restaurant staff to ring him when we had finished eating so that he could drive us back. I offered to reimburse him for the trips, but he refused.
Cons: The pillows were too soft and there was only one per person. The place was difficult to find until we used Google maps.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Giancarlo and Pepita make you feel welcome in their home and had breakfast with us.They are very nice people. Our room although in the house had complete privacy, its own blacony, private bathroom and toilet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We got a last minute booking due to missed flights. Gianluca and pepita were very friendly and drove us to the nearest restaurant when stuck for dinner. They have a lovely dog called ECCO! Thanks again and would recommend this gite to anyway looking for a quiet getaway in the country side with easy access to the airport.
