Price was great, about a 10 minute drive to Okemo. It was an older hotel but everything was in working order. It's a great place for a ski trip on a budget.
Location is just down the road from Okemo. Also not a bad little view of the mountain from all rooms. Clean and comfortable for the price point. it could use some updating but it works.
Not much The beds were both broken and in horrible shape. The carpet on the floors was half coming up the floor in the showers was in very bad shape. The entire place smelled like mildew. Then they have crazy hours for the hot tubs you can only use it from 4p-8p. In my opinion it was a waste of money I will never stay here again I hope no one else does either no
owner was great, got us a good deal on lift tickets price should have been about $40 a night less but like said above in question 1 it would of been if I had delt with owner directly
The Timber Inn is a great deal if you're going to Ludlow to ski Okemo. It's just a mile out of "town" (Ludlow is pretty small), but there is a free shuttle to the mountain and free van shuttles to take you to and from restaurants (or you can walk across the street to Sam's Steakhouse) so it's all very convenient. The rooms are nice, nothing spectacular (the TV's are almost antiques), but they are very clean and the shower was wonderful - endless hot hot water and good pressure. The proprietor was very friendly and recommended some great local spots for dining out, and made it very easy for us to get checked in very late at night. As stated earlier, the TV's left a little something to be desired (the remotes don't let you adjust the volume - you have to get out of bed for that).
The rooms are comfortable with WIFI and cable TV. I was happily surprised with the microwave and refridgerator. I will go back there just for that. It is just right on the main road so there is traffic noise. It was nothing that was a deal breaker.
The beds are comfortable. There was no coffee maker in the room.
My husband and I got married at Echo Lake Inn and we can't say enough wonderful things about it! As a courtesy the entire Inn was reserved for the weekend for us exclusively. The food, location, setting, service, and absolutely everything was beyond perfect! Our guests (and us too) were all treated like family, and we felt like celebrities! It was wonderful to have everyone together in once place. The front porch was the place to be- we spent more time there than anywhere else! Laurence, the Innkeeper, was so wonderful to us and helped me with absolutely everything, and Neil was the most attentive and wonderful man (always making sure I was happy and had whatever I needed or wanted). We were so in love with our Luxury King Suite that we booked an extra night! We will absolutely be going back to celebrate our anniversary, and I know my friends and family will be going back as they just fell in love with the Inn too.
My husband and I were married at the Echo Lake Inn. From the first moment I started working with the Innkeeper Laurance and the wedding planner Ruxana I ran into NOT once single issue. Every request was met quickly and exceeded my expectation. The cost is very affordable, both the rooms and the wedding. The location, food, and staff are amazing and the environment is so welcoming you don't want to leave. My guests had nothing but wonderful complliments about the food, service and beauty of the wedding and staff. My wedding was completetly error free due to the attention to detail and professionalism at the Inn. Laurance made our day perfect and for that I will always be grateful. My husband and I have decided to return very frequently for dinners, weekend getaways and of course our anniversaries (and we live 20 minutes away)
The hotel staff were excellent as was the breakfast we were served. The room and bath were minimal, but overall adequate.
Perfectly located less than one mile from Okemo and directly on the shuttle route. Michael, Irene, and Marlowe are very welcoming. My polite, quiet 8 year old son was very welcome and enjoyed himself. However, this is a quiet B&B and rambunctious children would be bored. Nothing. Liked it all.
I thought it was a delightful place. Good food, interesting accomodations in a lovely old home that has been well preserved. Care was given to maintaining the original architecture and charm. Food was good and staff was very attentive. Pricey, but that's the way it is with nice places. The absence of an elavator makes the need for a bellman important.
Excellent facility....quite charming and luxurious!
We booked this hotel online 'special' and it was awful. The room was dirty, the common areas smelled terrible and the pools were small and crowded. To top it all off, the 'Pointe' where we stayed was really a motor lodge type motel - right on a main road. We did look at switching into a Castle room - they were somewhat better than the Pointe but still not what I expected from the website. We asked the front desk for information about nearby movies and they were NOT helpful - pointed us to a newspaper in the foyer that was from February .... shabby, depressing, not a good place for a romantic weekend.
Appearances can be deceiving. We booked their $* internet special. We saw the pictures of the mansion and thought that our accommodations would be similar in style. \n \nWhat we got was a 1/3 condo, 2 twin beds butted up to each other, 1/2 shower (large enough for a midget), maid service who only brought new towels, etc. You get the picture. \n \nWas up here for our anniversary, made dinner reservations only to be told busload of tourists were to be in at 6 pm and no one can be there at that time. We changed our plans and made dinner reservations at the Inn at Weathersfield. (BTW Great food, superb atmosphere) \n \nMeanwhile, the mansion's food was so-so. Not the best I had, nor the worst. \n \nBottle of champagne and chocolates was nice touch, but totally out of character for room quality. \n \nSo the question is would I stay back here in the condo...NO! \n \nThe mansion would be nice, except for the fact that there are nicer places to stay for the money. \n
Charming building and location - felt like visiting a relative more than staying in a hotel. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Breakfast was substantial and tasty. No television in the room (not a deal-breaker, but would have been nice to have) and Wifi was weak, at best.
I love staying at the Okemo Inn. Ron the owner is always so pleasant and friendly. The Inn has alot of character. Always look forward to going there.
Beautiful lodge and decorations. Very clean and cozy. Bathroom in our double bed room is too small. There's extra charge for my kid to stay in our room.
Warm welcome, great breakfast, always around, clean rooms, couldn't find anything wrong with the place. Definitely staying there again.
