Our stay was made very relaxed due to the wonderfull couple who own and run Terriciae. They made us so welcome even though our French was not so good!! The rooms are very comfortable and simply furnished. The breakfasts were fresh and very nice. The hotel is well positioned for sightseeing in Provence and Camarge with a charming village within walking distance.
Friendliness of the hotel staff made our stay.
The hotel was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and the service from the owners/staff was extremely good and helpful. It is the sort of hotel that we would love to stay in again and will do so if we revisit this area. The hotel is very well situated for visiting the many attractions in the area and we did not have adequate time over the three dats we were there.
the kindness of the staff'', the promptness of the service perhaps to add light yugurt and tomatoes at breakfat- but it is a very individual need..the hotel was very good
Excellent Hôtel with very charming owners! Best location & value for money to explore the Provence with a nice swimming pool waiting for you at the end of the day!Very Good Restaurants in Mouriès.We will come back next time. Poor Wifi coverage in the rooms only..
Very friendly and helpful owners; hotel kept very clean and tidy and good value breakfast. Hotel lacks charm, new and efficient.
The welcome, friendliness and willingness to help of the family who run the hotel and their patience with our limited french; the excellent breakfasts; the fact that it was central to so many areas for sightseeing .Enjoyed our stay so much we hope to return, NO!!
Friendly hosts, good buffet breakfast, clean and comfortable room, nice swimming pool. Location in deserted area, surrounding of th swimming not very nice.
We really admired this hotel after certain not so nice experience with other 3-4 star French hotels. It's excellent the staff and the hotel, very quite, very clean. Good location for sea lovers and those who wants to see the Provence in general. Just have to have a car for that. We liked everything
Clean and functional
Very nice and quiet! Excellent Dinner. Very friendly staff. Secure place and parking ground. Close to Avignon. Will come back...
Relaxing, clean and friendly Too expensive by far and poor location
quiteness, close to town centre, spacious garden pool water was not heated and a bit too cold
All the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, especially the staff at reception, and the restaurant was of a good standard.
The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but once through the doors a large, beautiful courtyard (very well maintained) appears. Nice pool area, and well appointed spa area. Fantastic meal at the restaurant. Very friendly staff. The location is a little "off the beaten path", and you need a car to get anywhere. Overall, a little pricey (both room rate and restaurant).
Spa facilities, swimming pool area and the hotel grounds and decor were very nice. Staff were also very attentive. Free wifi in the bedrooms. My room was very small although I was advised of this when booking so can't complain, there are a couple like this, and based on other reviews, most rooms are larger (although this would cost extra to the 185€ we paid per night). My main issue was the cost of any extras in the hotel. Menu prices and drinks were extortionate even if it has a michelin star. Since it's a good 10 minute drive from Avignon, if you don't have a car, you have to go by Taxi, and for some reason that costed around 25€ each one way journey too, making it an expensive couple of days. Not sure if it's normal, but the taxi drivers seemed to start their meter when they were called by the hotel, so the starting tariff would range from 6.50€ to 8.50€ which isn't great.
The staff were very attentive and polite. The layout and facilities in the hotel were lovely and there was a lot of attention to detail. Lovely scented rooms.
The friendliness of the staff and the food was fantastic Need a map to get there!!!
We knew this hotel from a previous stay 10 years ago, it was nice to find out that it still matched our expectations. The restaurant as good as ever.
We absolutely loved this hotel! It has lots of Provencial charm and our room was very pretty and spacious. It is the perfect place to stay in Provence if you don't want to be with all the crowds in Avignon center. It is about a 10 minute drive to Avignon and easy access to other areas of the Luberon region. There are no restaraunts nearby so you will need a car for sure. The hotel has wonderful food but is pricey. It has a great outdoor pool, indoor pool with spa, very lush landscaping and beautiful patios. Very attentive service and wonderful personel.
Main hotel building. Pool. Location. Bait and switch. This is yet another hotel that advertises its newly renovated rooms yet puts people into old rooms that have not been renovated for decades. I had no idea that these rooms even existed. Mine room smelled of 'granny's house' and the bathroom looked like something out of a 1970s sitcom. Even the mattress felt old with springs digging in your back. The main hotel has been beautifully done with a shabby-chic feel. This made me only feel that I was part of the help. Unless you know you can get one of the nicer rooms, I would avoid this hotel. The service, however, was friendly enough.
As far as French standards apply the staff were very helpful and accommodating and the room was of a very good international standard. The design and layout was attractive and appealing - especially the provincial styling. Dietary issues (allergies) were catered for well. The landscape setting was very charming I would not eat at the restaurant regularly because it only offered a very expensive menu. If you are travelling for some time such a menu becomes unaffordable. For us location was a serious issue. As international guests, we did not realise that the hotel was so cut off from the local towns. This needs to be better explained. We would have preferred accommodation walking distance to Les Baux or one of the other villages - because they were a strong part of the appeal of the area. The garden was not finished and there was no temporary signage to reception. You've travelled hundreds of kilometres, lugging suitcases over loose gravel and no one helps you locate reception or assist with carrying the case. It was a very bad initial impression.
The hotel offered good attention to detail, tasteful decor and a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed the level of service and care offered by the dedicated. staff. It is superbly situated for exploring Avignon, Arles, Nimes and the Carmargue. The pool was fairly close to the road - the traffic noise was noticable in an otherwise peaceful setting. Also the sound insulation between our room and the next was not to the best standard.
the friendly welcome, the professional staff in the restaurant, the excellent food. the perfect setting of the hotel the breakfast service in the morning a bit slow
lovely, relaxed location. Well situated for sightseeing. Rooms well kept and modern. Friendly staff. breakfast overpriced with no feasible alternative nearby
Everything contributes to a lovely peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. The interior decor is very relaxing and tasteful, the surroundings delightfully 'provencal'. Lovely main building and confortable bedrooms, very nice pool, green lawns and even the use of 'petanque' boules. A huge bonus was that every single member of staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We had high expectations for a big family celebration gathering three generations and every detail was perfect, including a very nice dinner. If only we could have stayed longer.... Nothing major. Just one thing we noted: coming from Maussane there are no signs on the road indicatin g that the hotel is near. It is very easy to miss it.
The garden is wonderful ! the swimming pool and the breakfast around... a real pleasure !! The price of the restaurant is a bit high. Prefer the room in the bastide they are modern but a bit more expensive...
We liked this typical atmosphere one gets in French Hotels et Chateaux, unique in the world. We also liked the central situation in the Provence, close to Avignon, very close to the highway. no complaints
The staffs of hotel are very nice and friendly. Dinner was excellent and especially enjoyed to see wine list which had a lot of reasonable priced bordeaux grand vin of good vintage.
perfect kitchen and stuff, nice pool and atmosphere
The hotel is beautiful with excellent grounds. First class restaurant. The air-conditioning in our room did not work which made for a very hot night. Staff were informed but took no action.
Accomodation is very complete, staff is professional. The ambiance is nice (manor and chapel). Swimming pool relatively big. The elevator in the chapel is very slow and the carpet in it has to be cleaned. But this is a minor issue.
A charming inn rich with history. The grounds are beautiful and one of the best bathrooms we have had in France. A lovely place if money is no object, although we did get three nights for the price of two on the booking.com site. The meals were over the top expensive. We were seated in the dining room and the owner came in and told my husband he should be wearing a jacket for dinner. This embarrassing situation could have been avoided if the website had indicated their policy or strong suggestion for dress attire. Because of this, we chose not to eat subsequent meals at the hotel and dined elsewhere.
The service was excellent, the food was out of this world (congratulations to the chef), overall the staff was very friendly and helped regarding all our requests. Relaxed atmosphere No, we were very happy. Clients should be aware that although the rooms are very reasonably priced (semi-luxurious, I would say), the restaurant is very expensive. But it was well worth it. The food was stupendous.
Great Service and Food, very rustic and very french Air conditioning did not work very well in the room because of poor design
Standard of hotel A1 100% top notch, as too were the staff. Fantastic location, ditto premises and attention to detail. Totally perfect in every way, could not have been better. We will return.....
Value for money Lack of detail description of how to find the place
The hotel is in the heart of the Provence. It is ideally located for tours by car to Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Arles, Nimes etc. The hotel is run by a very friendly Belgian family. André is the Boss, Nancy is a great cook and Vanessa is responsible for everything. The dinners are really excellent. This place should get at least one Michelin Star asap. Secret tip: ask for the big table in the kitchen!
Enjoyed the view of the Apilles and the location of the hotel within Provence which made it easy to drive to various towns and sights. Our room was exceedingly small and noisy, noteworthy for a hotel that lists itself as 4 Star. Also, its location was very inconvenient--having to climb stairs through the lobby/restaurant.
The minute we walked into the establishment the service was impeccable. The room was clean and spacious with a door opening onto a verandah overlooking the olive groves. The biggest selling point however was the dinner. My husband and I (who I might add are great connoisseurs of food) have not eaten a meal as good as we both ate that night in many, many years. NO
Lovely room and surroundings. Did not like the attitude of owner. We felt we were not welcome.
Location Restaurant closed (out of season) but did offer to open with limited menu
Good food, friendly staff, nice pool. Accommodation was in a new extension that was unfinished, building work was still in progress.
location is excellent, between small hills and nice pleasant villages, rooms are comfortable they had problems with internet and in three days the problems were not solved
The location was perfect for us as we wanted to stay in the countryside. It also has a pool. Our room was very nice and we had a verandah facing the Alpilles, and that was very pleasant. The airconditioning did not work properly. Breakfast was very expensive at 17 euro per person - the 'buffet' was very basic and to eat at the restaurant for dinner was 55 euro per person. Because of the location you have to drive a few minutes to get to other restaurants, which is not a problem if you come by car. The restaurants in Mausanne are excellent and good value.
Splendid hotel in a beautiful part of the French Provence. Wonderfully decorated room with direct access to the garden. Hotel is surrounded by olivetrees and provençal plants and flowers. Excellent, professional staff that really takes care for a perfect stay.
A very relaxing hotel in a good location for touring a beautiful area of France. This is without doubt the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in.
I loved the friendliness and assistance of the front desk the very best, then sitting by the pool.
the comfort and location none
location and very serene
Fantastic experience with quite and serene surroundings and a very accommodating staff. Very comfortable room, beautiful grounds, secure parking, tennis court, amazing pool, scrumptious breakfast....a total delight. Great wifi Internet throughout hotel. Convenient to attractions in surrounding villages. Easy to find if you use GPS and look for signs. We adored this place! No
quiet, lot of flies during our visit inside the room. The staff was dealing with the problem in an adaquat way.
Very friendly and welcoming staff, great setting (swimming pool, gardens), and great breakfast. Not at all, our stay was very pleasant!
Great Location, dog friendly and very friendly staff
It was quiet and meet our expectations.
Very well located: shops, bars, restaurants all within walking range. All essential facilities on-site, friendly staff.
Excellent faciliites and service in ideal, quiet location. Possibly a bit impersonal and characterless for long holiday but ideal for short break or business.
Garden view. Pleasant and helpful staff. Nothing fancy about the room but good value and charming small town.
Very clean and withing walking distance of the village Cost of breakfast, we did not have it at the hotel.
Good location near les beux de provence and st remy de provence. Friendly and accomodating staff First room that we were given clearly used to be a smoking room and the smell of the old carpet was the first thing I noticed when we entered. We changed rooms for one in the new block which was better, although not exceptional and in my opinion not worthy of the room rate (which excluded breakfast - we had found nicer hotels with breakfast included elsewhere at a better rate on our travels around provence that week). I've heard that the rooms on the ground floor are nicer though....
The staff was extremely friendly and the facilities were nice, clean and conveniently located. Parking got filled when I arrived but could park the car on the side of the entry way
location within a short walk of the centre of Maussane with its bars restaurants and shops
Very calm, beautiful surroundings, interesting sites nearby. Breakfast could be better. Coffee was not very good (why not offer espresso, for example?), bread could be better.
The silence and country-view The stinking toilet, the old uncomfortable shower where you have to hold the shower in 1 hand and use the other to wash yourself or put the shower down when you need both hands to squeeze the soap out of a bottle hanging on the wall, much overpriced!
The helpfulness of the staff with ideas and scheduling of transportation. The nearness (walking distance) to Maussane. Because of the time of year, we had no other options than taxi service. Buses had stopped running.
Great price, great breakfast (and it was included in price), helpful staff at hotel, nice location, quiet, clean, free parking. The bed was just a little bit uncomforatble for me (too hard). I made do with some pillows from the bed and then I was fine.
Our room was very nice, spacious and comfortable. The pool was perfect!
Self-catering facilities, free parking, spacious accommodation. Convenient for 2 supermarkets. Nothing
Nice yard, tasty breakfast Highway near hotel (little noisy)
Friendly staff, spotless apartments, brilliant pool, close to Arles, excellent place as a stop over. No bad points
Despite being somewhat out of the way the hotel makes an excellent base for exploring numerous interesting areas. The reception was warm, the assistance offered wonderful. Excellent self-catering facilities and large welcoming pool on hot days. Highly recommended.
The apartments are very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The location is excellent for sightseeing nearby villages.
Spacious, well designed and well equipped apartment. Tranquil setting and very easy to forget that you are technically on an industrial estate. Main town within easy walking distance.
The staff is very friendly and the apartment is large and comfortable. The location of the hotel was in the middle of an industrial zone.
It was a apartment of good dimensions, with kitchenette, satelite T V, Wifi in a nice compound near to Arles and Les Baux. The compound was in a small industrial area, and next to a large Intermarché supermarket, which was very convenient. The management was also very cooperative, as we reserved a booking.com apartment for 4 persons, but only paid for 2 persons. As you rent an apartment, no cleaning takes place during a short stay (we stayed 3 nights). The town centre is 1/2 km. away but has not many restaurants or shops.
