Pros: The food in Casa do Preto is local cooking at its best. They raise their own animals, cure and smoke the meat, so everything is tasty and fresh. The owners and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Pros: The owners are super-friendly and helpful, the room has every comfort needed and the cooking is great!
Pros: Great, Albertina hostess is a. Genm
Pros: Nice guest house with lovely staff and restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal - they have their own smokehouse for their meat! Really interesting conversation with the owner about the history of the area. Pitoes das Junias is in a fabulous, beautiful location up in the mountains. We went for a lovely walk to the nearby ruins and waterfall.
Pros: Very friendly and helpful owner. The dinner in their restaurant was excellent - local honest tasty kitchen! The view from the village into the mountains is stunning.
Pros: One of our best accommodations during the trip. Great host, very friendly atmosphere. Great food!!! Going there plan to eat in their restaurant. Beautiful location – this village is not postcard-like beautiful but it is magical, quite extraordinary. Also getting there by car is a picturesque ride. Highly highly recommended.

Cons: Smell in the room
Pros: It was clean
Cons: It was colder inside the property than outside - you had to wear a coat and hat to breakfast. Breakfast options were very limited - one of the days there was only bread available with sinews of meat in .. You get no hospitality - staff are bordering on the hostile/ you are made to feel like an inconvenience.
Pros: Nice room, good en-suite and comfortable bed.
Cons: A bit overpriced for what it offered, it's really just a bed and breakfast and, the owner would only accept cash payment.

Pros: Comfortable and quiet
Cons: had to wait 10 minutes for someone to arrive to check us in
Cons: no tv . air conditioning out of service.
Pros: Friendly staff , we were off season so hotel low occupancy but made welcome , rural location , nice view and ideal as part of our motorcycle trail ride
Pros: The hotel was quiet and comfortable. The rates obtained through booking.com are very reasonable during the week.
Cons: For being a Portuguese hotel, the breakfast was fairly generic.
Pros: indoor pool, good value for money
Pros: The hotel restaurant had some very good food and was very good value for money. The solarium was very nice. The room was cozy and there was no noise at night. The reception staff were very friendly.
Pros: The location is superb if you like hill/mountain landscapes. The pool and spa facilities were nice too.
Cons: While checking-in, the receptionist served a customer at the adjoining bar, took 3 phone calls and gave out towels to other guests before finishing our check-in - the delay was not appreciated. The lighting in the room was poor, so it seemed like all the guests were crowded in the very small lounge to read, etc. In our room, the hose for the hair dryer was broken and there was no easy way to let staff know.
Pros: Everything: the breakfast; the room, the beds, the toilet, the pool (the water was cold...) and specially, the sollarium.
Cons: The window of the toilet didn't has privacy.
Pros: The proximity to the Peneda Gerês Natural Park (mountains, lakes, rivers). Amazingly beautiful surroundings. Also, you can walk to the main town (Montalegre), so you don't need the car by night. Basically I enjoyed pretty much everything outside the hotel :) Inside the hotel there was a certain peaceful ambiance, so it's probably good to rest for a while if you don't care about the negative aspects I mention next.
Cons: The room had no sound-proof walls at all. I heard not only people in the corridor, but also people on the next rooms and the music on the town center - until 1:30am) .The bathroom on a double room had a small and leaking shower square, not a bathtub. The breakfast was a little scarce in variety (though the quality was fair). The gym had no working cardio machines, and its room was small and on top of the inside pool (quite steamy without anyone in it, no ventilation). The pool had a damp water in it. The entire spa zone had a careless feel, with no one from the staff around. Overall I would recommend staying in smaller lodges or local rooms for rent, for more or less half the price, the same comfort and nature proximity.
Pros: Confort of the beds and the swimming pool
Cons: The hotel should do some mantainence, just to be actual
