10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were passing through for one evening to breakup a long drive, checked-in at 7pm and left at 5am the next morning, so cannot comment on the facilities as we did not use them (sadly, as they looked great). The reception staff was very welcoming, we were given a 2 bedroom apartment which was large, comfortable, modern and clean. The entire building looked brand new. It’s just off the main highway through Jura, so a great location for a stop off. All their restaurants were booked out for dinner (Saturday evening) but the reception staff gave us names of others in the village and we managed to get the last available table at a lovely bistro; in other words, book restaurants in advance.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was superb, very friendly host and very helpful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is simply great and totally worth the additional fee. The room was spacious for our family with a nice bath with abundant water. It looks a bit worn-out from the outside but is really nice and cosy inside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We very much enjoyed our one night stay. The hotel is very well presented inside and out, and so quiet at night because it is away from the main road, but it was still very easy to find in the small village. We were not able to eat in the restaurant as it was a Sunday evening, but the Pinto family very kindly booked a table for us at a restaurant close by. The Pinto family are very friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and we will definitely be returning next year on our way to Italy to eat in the charming restaurant.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff !
Cons: Some of the rooms would benefit from a make over, eg door handle, hangers etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing food, amenities and staff
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean rooms
Cons: The breakfast was meager to say the least. It was so small they didn't even supply plates to put it on. When we went to breakfast, our daughter came in a little after we were seated and told us that the staff, four people, were tearing our room apart and we still had our things in it and hadn't checked out yet. I went back to the room to ask what they were doing and they just threw their hands up in the air and talked loudly amongst themselves. They left quickly and I locked the door. They proceeded to do the same thing to our daughter's room after I walked away because a lady that was staying down the hall saw what was happening, and went back to retrieve her valuables and cell phone and told us they were in our children's room doing the same thing. We found this to be very disturbing and never encountered anything like this in all our trips to Europe.
6.8 Good
Cons: We were asked to check out at 10:00 AM although we mentioned that a little later was convenient for us (this was Sunday!). No flexibility.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location. Excellent overnight stay on way back from Italy. Delicious evening meal
Cons: Nothing. We have stayed there twice before.
7.5 Good
Pros: Easy car parking out side by to front door of the hotel. Excellent family room with a bunk bed in a side bedroom.
Cons: limited choice of food for breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service provided by the guy in reception. WiFi worked just fine. My room had a balcony where I could try my wet clothes.
Cons: The rate was a bit high, given that breakfast cost +8 euros per person per night. Check-in time was rather late (at 17:30).

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful setting and great breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location in a quiet area. Good breakfast; not the usual coffee bread and jam.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We were travelling to Annecy for 2 nights early May. Got caught in unexpected heavy sleet and very cold weather (not good travelling on a motorcycle). Turned back (by now 6pm), found this (only hotel with room in the town/ resort). Last room available too. Really pleased how this worked out. Very clean and comfy.
Cons: No kettle in room. No plant based milk or yogurt for breakfast. I feel by now all hotels should be catering for those on a plant based diet with at least some options and clear labelling. Fruit plus bead and jam gets a little tiring after a while.
6.3 Good
Pros: Swimming pool
Cons: One can hear people in neighbouring rooms talking. The place was generally very noisy.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: It was not hotel but a kind of retirement house or school vacation house
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic pool and jacuzzi, lovely quiet location, comfortable rooms, really modern bathrooms.
Cons: Breakfast room had quite a few flies buzzing around. The room was lovely and airy with windows open, thus letting flies in. The room would benefit from some sort of fly control as they were a bit problematic.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Screaming kids at the spa area

6.8 Good
Cons: The price for the dinner is expensive For a very basic meal which everyone received (you can't choose) we paid 20€ per person + drinks Because there are no restaurants around you have to eat there
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, welcoming staff, tasty breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly hosts, we felt like visiting our grandmother in the countryside, enjoying a real hospitality. No problems with late check-in. Excellent regional food served in the restaurant. Good location, if you like a peaceful and quite places, feeling close to nature. Extraordinary possibility to take a horse riding.
Cons: Basic breakfast. No wifi access.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice view, friendly staff. In the right place for our journey. Food available on site.
Cons: I expect this would be a great place to stay as part of an adventure holiday. It felt a bit spartan and youth hostel like to us, but ok for a stopover. We ate there, as no choice, and the lack of options is a problem if you have any kind of special diet. Bread, cheese, ham and lettuce was the dinner, take it or leave it! I was grateful that they charged me less for not having the ham (as vegetarian.)
6.3 Good
Pros: lovely fresh bread for breakfast
Cons: shared showers and loos
5.5 Okay
Cons: 2 Toilets and showers were shared among all the rooms at the same floor. I wasn't aware of this , probably my fault for not reading the small print.
Les Remparts - Nozeroy - Building

Overview Reviews
A stay at Les Remparts places you in the heart of Nozeroy, and within a 10-minute drive of Haut-Jura Regional Nature Reserve. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.8 Good
Pros: Interesting small village. People were friendly and helpful. Room had a nice view and was comfortable.
Cons: Many shops and restaurants only open periodically. Renovations were taking place on the property and outside the room it was not ready for occupants.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Stylish newly renovated room. Very quiet location. Easy to access & park. Kitchen with large dining area available.
Cons: One of the least comfortable beds I ever had - extremely soft combined with a firm pillow. Breakfast nice and tasty however no variety.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nozeroy is a beautifully located town glorious views all around. Our hotel room looked out over fields, you could hear cow bells, it was extremely quiet. The room was all new, shower excellent, good bed
Cons: The floor of our room was dirty. The evening meal was poor, and there was no where else to eat in town
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This place is such great value and a lovely location, a little magic to arrive finding the village on a hilltop behind old beautiful walls. The B&B is sweet and have a lovely restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The owner is lovely and creates a nice atmosphere. This was our 4th stay coming to and from ski holiday and we will defiantly come back again.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: I booked this hotel on a none cancellation deal but wanted to stay an extra night. I requested this through Booking .com on 10th November 2016 and had no reply. I asked the hotel direct and got no reply until 16th May 2017. I am pleased I made alternative arrangements. When we arrived on our motorbike at around 6.00 pm and there was no one there. After a phone call a woman arrived speaking almost no English. We were given our room key, shown to the door and the woman was about to leave. We asked about the bar and restaurant and were told "Ferme". Asked the woman where else we might find somewhere to eat. The reply 5 kilometers away. We were not given any information about the swimming pool, terrace, common room etc. We did not even have any water. There was a gap above the en-suite, no trim around the door frame the cladding attached with exposed staples. When we picked up our crash helmets the next morning they were covered in dust 1 from the wardrobe & one from the table. The breakfast was only average.
7.0 Good
Pros: The village was so quaint and charming. The merchants were friendly and helpful (be prepared to speak French!) Had everything one would need for a short stay in the area. A true experience of rural life in France. Perfect spot to visit the region.
Cons: 'Pool' small and dirty. Close to 40 degree heat wave so my kids determined to go in. Took them half an hour to clean it out. Dirt and bird droppings still in it, my wife declined. Shower in room but shared toilet end of hallway ( typical of europe to have random washroom set up) No air con (again not uncommon) 'Petit dejeuner' not worth the price for a croissant and coffee
6.8 Good
Pros: This hotel/ pension offers very good value for money and is clean and comfortable. The room we stayed in had clearly recently been refurbished, in fact probably restructured to an extent as one interior wall had yet to be rendered or painted. Having said that the room was comfortable and a reasonable size for a family room. The en-suite bathroom and toilet were separate, which also works well when there are four people in the room! While the plumbing seemed a little dodgy when using the toilet and sink, the shower (also apparently new) was first class in terms of pressure. Les Remparts is a bit unusual, but is value for money for a one-night stopover. A more detailed review of this accommodation can be found on https://undercoverofthewrite.wordpress.com/. Check it out and join the debate.
Cons: The accommodation is spread over two locations across the road from each other, which is not immediately obvious on arrival. Neither appeared to be open but, fortunately, a local resident appeared and went and fetched our hostess from one of them. We were then showed to our room (in the other building) and finally asked if we would be taking breakfast. When we declined, the relief of the woman was palpable! We later saw her leaving the village by car. Once she had gone it was clear that the hotel was completely unmanned. Also, the restaurant – lauded on Bookings.com – was closed as, indeed, was the whole village. Luckily we had some cheese, baguettes and wine in the car! It was the ghost hotel in a ghost village as we seemed to be the only guests in a hotel with no staff and a village with no resident!
7.5 Good
Cons: All the bars and restaurants closed on a Monday....we had to travel for 15 mins to nearest large town, where the only restaurant open was McDonald's....slightly disappointing after a 400 mile drive...wish we had known beforehand!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely crispy cotton sheets. Spacious room with 2(!) chairs. Great view of the waterfall from our window (we were upgraded for this room but at no extra charge) Charming, helpful staff. Good restaurant and not over-priced considering it had a captive clientele as it was miles from amywhere else.
Cons: No air-con and no fridge. Unfortunately we visited this hotel when the temperature hit 35°so the night was a little uncomfortable.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: Shower head was like being hit with a water canon! From all directions! Otherwise all was fine!

Pros: Dinner was excellent. Trout, of course, but cooked perfectly. The hotel is old fashioned but has charm as a result.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have spent there 1 night away from our little monsters. Very nice room. Great, cozy restaurant. Beautiful surroundings and places to walk in nature. The hotel is on the side of the road but it was quiet. We will come back.

Cons: small remark :the extra pillow did not smell fresh
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are excellent. Very spacious, has everything you need. Looking beautiful, very quiet, very nice atmosphere. Breakfast is excellent. The hotel is situated right on top of a beautiful waterfall, stunning view.
Cons: Lady in reception does not speak English even though the booking page says English can be spoken (and it doesn't look like she got out of her way to understand is and help us with what we needed) Rooms are right on the road, it is not looking safe to open the windows overnight. Breakfast is expensive.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, size of the room, food quality
5.8 Okay
Pros: Large family room. Breakfast was sufficient
Cons: Mold in bathroom. The menu in the restaurant is too expensive for what you get and the food tasted awful. We had to wait for the menu and ask for drinks ourselves. After one hour! we got our food. The fish was disgusting dripped in oil. The filet was not well done and didn't taste well. The herb butter had a tasteless spinach taste. We asked for vegetables but my daughter got one tomato. And the salate aside is one leaf and a mini tomato. The waiters never look at you and after 2 hours we finally were ready and just had one drink.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: - Very calm place near river, woods and meadows - Spacious well equipped apartment - Petanque and children playgrounds - Our stay was like on the castle (old building, furniture, ... but modern equipment) - Wonderful nature just few km away - our children really liked all the trips my wife organised for us
Cons: - Wi-fi connection available just outside reception - ideal to enjoy disconnected vacation - No shop/pub/civilization around (few km away is SupetU hypermarket - so no problem with a car)
