Pros: The chateau is simply amazing. The room was large (and exactly as shown on the photos), the staff was very friendly and the breakfast outside in the sun (in October!) was perfect :)
Pros: Charming location with a big room and some animals surrounding the property
Cons: The shower did not evacuate the water properly.
Pros: A splendid old chateau in lovely French countryside.Warm welcome from friendly hosts who remained pleasant and calm when I lost the key(later found) and had to disturb them late at night..Breakfast was exceptionally good .
Pros: We were lucky enough to stay at the beginning of season, so we were the only ones there. We had the Chateau to ourselves. It was a very pleasant and peaceful stay. The room was excellent and spacious along with the on suite bathroom. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The host was lovely and made sure we enjoyed our stay whilst there, Very knowledgeable on surrounding area and places to visit. Would love to visit here again .
Cons: Sorry! Nothing to dislike
Pros: Management of the premises
Pros: Our hostess was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic and bedroom comfortable. Just wished we had other guests to chat to and have an evening meal there with.
Cons: The chateau was wonderful, but the only thing I can say is don't go to the pizza restaurant in the town, it was awful!
Pros: This was our second time to visit chateau breduriere and it did not disappoint. It is such a beautiful place to stay on amazing grounds. Marieke was a great host and made us a delicious 3 course meal in the chateau which was delicious! We look forward to our next visit to this beautiful place.
Pros: Room was very comfortable, bed was large and plenty of quilts, blankets, pillows. Toiletries could have been a little.more generous, lots of hot water. Fridge bar was sufficiently stocked. Good dutch tv programmes (no adverts!) Breakfast simple but varied and very adequate and choice of tea or coffee. The baguettes were ranked amongst the best we have tasted in France. Nice gardens and surrounds to walk if you want to with friendly donkeys close by.
Cons: As mentioned above toiletries could have been a little more generous but everything else was pretty much as described and we felt rested. It is a reasonable and do-able drive to the coast if you want a choice of dinner venues otherwise we were not aware of anywhere closer to go for dinner.
Pros: The most perfect place for our last minute weekend away. I stumbled across this chateau whilst googling romantic vineyards to stay in France and it exceeded all my expectations. Our room was amazing, so big and light with everything we needed and an incredible view over the vineyard. The pool was lovely and relaxing. Breakfast was lovely both days and our dinner on the terrace at the front of the chateau was just amazing, so romantic! We enjoyed their wine so much we managed 5 bottles over the 2 days, next time we will definitely come back in the car!! Thank you Marieke for making us feel so very welcome.
Pros: Welcome just right, not intrusive but very helpful. We felt our room was luxurious but comfortable. The breakfast were superb and we wish we had more time to stay and sample the dinners, next time. A wonderful stay, very central for exploring the Pays De La Loire region, which we wanted to do. Visit made extra special by wonderful hosts

Pros: Its French rustic charm, lovely hosts and excellent breakfasts. Home made buns etc The owner and his daughter could not have done more to help us enjoy our very short stay.
Cons: Nothing bad to say.
Pros: comfortable large bedroom and great bathroom, nice host, very helpful re our delayed arrival due to weather
Cons: Bit tricky to find in the dark...but we made it.
Pros: Hospitality was absalutely amazing, we got lost and they drove around to find us. Breakfast was enough to feed 10 people. Great value for money. Really nice people.
Cons: Insects, but your in the country side so nothing you can do about it.
Pros: We were weary when we arrived after a long drive and were greeted with home made cake and coffee,we had an evening meal and the only fault 'there was too much's realy lovely three course meal in a beautiful French farmhouse. We sat outside with a glass of wine on a glorious evening.
Cons: That we hadn't booked for longer and spent our Golden wedding there, which we travelled on to Bergerac for.

Pros: Very informal and the owners very friendly and helpful, very pet friendly.
Cons: The property could have been better signposted.
Pros: The room was huuuuuge!!! And the bed even more! And the whole place is awesome! My French is horrible, but still we managed to communicate with no problem. Unfortunately I was there only one night on the way back to UK, but the place definitely deserves more time.
Pros: Helpful owners. Very good value for money. Spacious room and well heated.
Cons: I need a window open at night and there’s a lot of noise from traffic. However, if you don’t open the window, the double glazing is very good.
Pros: Comfortable bed, brilliant breakfast. Great house and great hosts.
Cons: The bed sheets smelled of cigarettes. No shampoo.
Pros: Beautiful house and garden, large room and relaxation area huge bed.
Cons: Extra firm mattress
Pros: Pleasant garden and very good off street parking.
Cons: WIFI not available in room, not a major problem as it was available just outside.
Cons: Impossibe not to eventually hit your head on the crossbeam across the middle of room. Also, there was a centipede in bed.
Pros: The owners were pleasant & friendly. A kettle, fridge, hairdryer, TV & microwave were all provided. Very clean. Comfy beds. Warm & cosy.
Cons: Low ceilings crossed by large beams were an issue for both myself at 5ft 5in & my husband (6ft 2in).
Pros: Lovely bread and home made jams for breakfast.
Pros: The pool and garden were just what we needed after driving all day and arriving in a thunder storm which cleared quickly. The upstairs accom was great.
Cons: It was raining heavily when we arrived and the number 3 on the fence is very faded. The picture on booking.com is different from what you see from the road and no where does it say L'Aubinoise. There is a gite notice on the fence but we weren't "looking for "a gite" as that's not in the booking.com wording. But they did come and find us at a local shop.

Pros: The staff was very friendly, very clean and tidy - better than expected. Very comfy bed.
Cons: Staff barely speaks english
Pros: The owner is very pleasant and helping out with questions regarding sightseeing, mareuil wine, etc. The rooms are well-furbished for the category, everything is standard and in good state, the beds were very confortable. Breakfast was standard French breakfast, good bread, croissants, pains au chocolat. If you are visiting the region it is a nice place to stay at for a weekend or a couple of nights.
Pros: Location suited us. Pet friendly block of nicely presented cottages Own Restuarant which we had used used numerous times when Hotel under original ownership.
Cons: Reception was prickly, the new Owner and his wife made a real meal about us having a dog, a small silent ageing Bichon. We did however booked dinner. Unusually, 30 minute slot to arrive , settle in and prefer everything. No second chances. “When you’re in OUR hotel, you do what we tell you to do” ! The Owners were now waiter and chef. He was dressed in scruffy, Primark style black t,shirt and black lounging pants, a man of his age should be wearing a white shirt and tie, black slacks a leather shoes. He is a waiter in a Restuarant, not a kid in a kebab house! Not dirty trainers. Disrespectful. The menu was brief. Two starters, both terrines. Entrecôte 250g. Lemon craquant or cheese. We had to remind him that he had not asked “la cuissance?’ Bleue or A Point? he asked. No other choice. My wife explained that she liked her steak pink in the middle, moist but no blood. Fair enough. This was just not acceptable! After going back and forth with no avail, my wife started to stand up to leave, The waiters face was cold and unsettling. With out saying what he was going to order,he suddenly just walked off. My terrine was ok. Steaks arrived, very large portion of standard thin chips and a little brown lump. Steaks were both about 10 x 7 cms. Nothing like 250 g. Perhaps that was the weight of both? The meat was in fact beautifully cooked There were seven diners in the cavernous dining room, which was cold. The ambiance was frigid. Made worse by the Christmas festive decorations which should be removed immediately, if not made vaguely festive. This man is just not in the right job. He had absolutely no comprehension of Service with a Smile. We were so disappointed. Mareuillais has never been a busy hotspot but the previous Owners were humans! Generous portions of homely food, served with a smile, and a bit of a chat. A warm, welcoming dining room, not a poor attempt at a gourmet Gastro Restuarant, which is certainly NOT what Mareuil is looking for.
Pros: Good room, idea for what we needed. Lovely restaurant at property, with very good value set menu
