Pros: Close to a metro system and also close to the bus that takes you to the train station in less then 20 mins. Overall, great location. Also the hotel itself is pretty neat, the room has high ceilings and comfy bed. Friendly staff.
Cons: We reserved a room for three. The hotel added an extra bed to the room which was terrible (squeaking and extremely not comfortable). We asked them to change the bed, but things did not improve. The room is very small and the walls of the bathroom are somewhat transparent. This does not fit 3 people. We cannot recommend this hotel. At least not for more than 2 people.
Pros: Good hotel, new, modern, well run. Good breakfast, good internet, comfortable rooms.
Cons: Local area is dull and empty, but there's an S-Bahn station directly opposite, so local transport is relatively easy. Also an U-Bahn not too far away.
Pros: Great Service
In Mitte, Berlin's historical center, this hotel is within 0.5 miles (0.8 kilometers) of Potsdamer Platz and the Checkpoint Charlie Museum. Gendarmenmarkt and Brandenburg Gate are within 0.9 miles (1.4 kilometers).
Cons: Few dining choices within walking distance but access to transport is excellent.

The central location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the capital. End your evening in our bar or restaurant or take some time out to relax in our fitness and spa area.
Pros: The internet should be improved as one had to log into wifi again and again several times a day, even if you had not left the hotel.
The booking did not come through for 48 hours.
The hotel is conveniently located in Berlin, has comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast, with vegan options.
Pros: Standards of finish and cleanliness exceptionally high. Nice rooms - well equipped.
Cons: Whilst the bar staff were nice, they were unable to mix cocktails! The Negroni cocktail is made of one part gin, one part vermouth rosso, and one part Campari, garnished with orange peel. It is considered an apéritif.
Located in Mitte, this luxury hotel is within a 10-minute walk of German Historical Museum, Gendarmenmarkt, and Galeries Lafayette. Berlin Cathedral and Museum Island are also within 10 minutes.
Cons: Lack of air conditioning, though I gather that's usual for Germany.
Pros: We loved the hotel...great location, beautiful decor, comfortable and clean, plus the Aqua Dom view was outstanding! We'd stay here again in a heartbeat (and we will be back!)
Located in the historic Mitte neighborhood, this Berlin hotel is on the banks of the River Spree and close to Berlin Cathedral, Alexanderplatz Square, and Museum Island, not to mention the metro station for those wishing to explore farther.
Pros: The location is great, my room was spacious with a nice bathroom over the kudam. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
Cons: The location of the hotel is great and very friendly professional staff
Swissotel Berlin is an elegant and modern hotel in the heart of Berlin, located on Germany's most famous shopping boulevard the Kurfuerstendamm. The hotel is lessthan 10 km from Tegel airport, 4 km from Messe Berlin, art galleries and museums, and close to renowned Berlin attractions including the Memorial Church as well as Europe's largest department store KaDeWe.
Pros: Room was cool (no COOLING or HEAT, though!). Lobby etc cool when you weren't stuck because the elevators weren't working. The transit pass is AWESOME, however... IF you can figure out where/how you're going.
Cons: SHIT INTERNET! No AC or heat! I spent most of my downtime/travel planning at the Menninger hotel about 50 metres away. FREE internet for ALL (FAST, actually works) in their bar...so spent my $ there, instead of InterSHITTY.
Pros: I liked the location, the modern decor, the very friendly staff, and cleanliness at a low price.

Pros: Hotel was quiet and close to our main choice of event/attractions.
Cons: Booking through Kayak was more expensive than walking in and checking-in at the front desk.

Pros: Staff members greeted us warmly and the lobby looked very luxe, so it was a good first impression. We found the room and bathroom to be very clean and of a good size for two people - not spacious, but pretty similar to most American budget chain hotel room sizes. The bathroom had a large countertop area for toiletries, and it was great to have some chairs in the room, too, so we didn't have to sit on the bed all the time. Sure, the carpet looked worn, but nothing else looked shabby and it didn't affect our comfort level at all. We always hung the "do not disturb" sign on the door overnight and were never bothered by housekeeping. Plus, the location was perfect - a block in one direction to the metro, and a block in the other direction to the bus. It was extremely convenient to get around, and close to plenty of restaurants, shops and things to do and see. We got an excellent deal on .Price..line. and were very happy with our stay.
Cons: The water temperature in the shower fluctuated a bit during peak showering times. Also, the mattresses were harder than I'd like and thus not that comfortable for me, but that is subjective. Pillows were quite flat, but they happily sent us more when we asked.
Pros: I liked the pool and that they had bikes for rent. It was close to a lot of things which was very nice.
Cons: Housekeeping woke us up every morning at 10 am. When I'm on vacation I don't want people coming into my room and waking me up. Any other hotel I've stayed in they don't start housekeeping until noon or so but I guess that's how it is here in Germany. The shower wasn't draining but they fixed that the last day we were there.
Cons: The hotel room smelled like smoke despite the staff leaving the window open. The room was tiny and the bed was practically a pull out. I use Kayak to book hotels and was disappointed by this choice especially considering the extremely high price I pay of over 350 dollars for a small twin bed.
Pros: Swimming pool
Cons: Cigarette smoke smell
Pros: Thhe Breakfast Buffet was fine!
Cons: The Hotel is really old and you see it in any corner! The carpets are from the 70´s the curtains were so dirty and even damaged! It was difficult to close the curtains to get darkness in the room to sleep. Even the uniforms of the staff were obviously used and old like the carpets! Not a good feeling to stay in that house.
In the central Mitte district, this hotel is steps from Unter den Linden and a 2-minute walk from a subway station. Brandenburg Gate, Gendarmenmarkt, and Museum Island are all within 0.8 km (0.5 mi).
Pros: brilliant. Location in amazing restaurant, in the center of everything. Best value for your money.
Cons: Nothing bad about this place
Pros: Really appreciated an early check-in after travelling all night from Canada.
The staff were all friendly and very helpful for any questions that I had about tourist sites, subway, bus routes etc.
I was given a free upgrade to a larger room because of my extended stay.
Very reasonable hotel rates.
Great buffet breakfast very good.
