Pros: The staff was kind and helpful.
Cons: The room was not very clean. There was a stain on one of the bed sheets, and there was crumbs and food debris from a previous guest on the surfaces.
Pros: The location was great! The room was spacious. The breakfast was delicious, and the hostess was kind. I didn't use it, but it looked like the pool and Jacuzzi were clean - it was busy during my stay.
Cons: There should be a "luggage" cart in the room - I had a big suitcase, and it was difficult to open it up. Also, there was a crack on the floor (in the tile) in the bathroom. In a day and age where people spend a lot of time in front of the TV, I thought it was a bit small for the room, and it wasn't a smart TV.

Pros: The location is good.
Cons: For a Ramada, this hotel is a huge disappointment. With this brand name I expect something nice. Most Ramadas that I have stayed in are modern, clean, well maintained and well staffed. This hotel is very cheaply built, somewhat dated and not well maintained. The staff while, friendly seemed highly unprofessional and untrained. The desk clerk had a difficult time checking us in, entered my credit card data incorrectly causing it to set off a fraud alert on my card and then gave me a key card that didn’t work. The wifi doesn’t work well, the air conditioner was noisy and barely adequate and my faucet dripped. I believe that whoever is responsible for issuing the franchise licenses for Ramada needs to take a serious look at the management of this property. Maybe a Motel 6 sign would be more appropriate.
Pros: Basically nothing except there was hot water in the shower.
Cons: When I walked into the lobby I was greeted by what I thought was another guest. He was wearing a ball cap, sunglasses on the bill upside down, a black T-shirt with skulls, etc, and jeans. To my surprise, he went behind the counter to wait on me. I was concerned about handing my credit card to someone that I wasn't even sure was an employee of the hotel. I had to give him my card twice because he said the terminal locked up. (I knew there would end up being 2 charges after this). I got my room key that took him several tries to program, and went to the outer door closest to my room, as instructed, and the key didn't work. Of course. I walked all the way back to the front of the building and found a totally unlocked door and walked right in. So much for security. I got to my room and immediately regretted my choice to stay here. A rip in the bedding, a muggy feeling in the room that wouldn't go away, mildew stains in the shower, a dust coating on the bathroom mirror frame, the toilet paper had spots where water had been dripped on it (and it was pulled out, like someone had just used it) spider webs with carcasses of meals past stuck in it on 2 walls, and electrical outlets that wouldn't keep our plugs in. It was like throwing a hot dog down a hallway: very loose. The bathroom door is rusty at the bottom and there were fingerprints on the mirror hanging on it. Now, let's talk about the noise... doors slamming, people talking loudly, kids running upstairs... keep in mind, we checked in close to midnight, due to a drive from the Chicago area. Why so much noise this late? Then, when we decided it was too late to change hotels, we started hearing footsteps right above our bed as we were trying to fall asleep. (Think about a very old house with loud creaking floors and a pacing elephant above your head) YUP, that bad. It happened for at least an hour and a half and then it started again around 6 am!!
Pros: breakfast was good.location was convenient to I-70
Cons: no complaints
Pros: The pool was nice and outside . Unfortunately we didn’t get to use it. The staff was really nice.
Cons: Nothing - it was a place to lay my head and locked after certain hours. Which was nice and secure ! Great Place. There was a hidden place that needed to be cleaned.
Pros: Very comfortable beds
Cons: Bathroom smelled like urine Bath mat was wet when we checked in Microwave did not work Could have stayed at other hotels nearby for half the price This was our second stay, first time was great.
Pros: Easy access from the interstate. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly, easy access to a buffet-style restaurant. Great water pressure in the shower. Plenty of parking available.
Cons: Motel was not up to the standards I would expect from a Ramada - rooms are outdated, ceiling in bathroom had peeling paint. AC was functional but failed to pull the humidity from the room which made everything feel damp. Non exhaust fan in bathroom.
Pros: breakfast was very good. location was perfect for us. this is the second time we have stayed while visiting relatives in the area.
Cons: no scrambled eggs and bacon at breakfast!
Pros: Not sure where do I start most definitely not what I expected the bed wasn't changed it was dirty as if it wasn't changed before our arrival ,The microwave didn't work told the staff she says she'll switch the room never did was too busy sitting in the front lobby smooching down her male friend all night the outdoor pool was freaking dirty trash running over and let's not get on the poor cold microwaved breakfast thanks for nothing never again
Pros: The pool was nice
Cons: Its a little dated needs a face lift
Pros: Clean rooms.
Cons: There is no elevator so the stairway hall was an awful smell. It smelled like a locker room that was filled with smelly body odor and wreaked sweat. It was a nasty smell.
Cons: My towel s had stains on them
Pros: Genuinely friendly check-in, helpful staff all around, good value, good bed, room with correct amenities that worked, beautiful carpet in the room, continental breakfast included.
Cons: Rooms were aging awkwardly. Rusted fire extinguisher head looked horrific, odd scuff marks on walls/doors. However, for the price, the friendly staff, and the cleanliness of contact surfaces, would not stop me from staying again.
When you stay at Economy Inn in Vandalia, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Vandalia State House. Featured amenities include express check-in and express check-out. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location
Cons: It needs to be upgraded
Pros: The location
Cons: The room smelled they need to up date there was spider webs in the corner by ceiling I had to go buy bleach to clean the room
Pros: We needed a place to stop on a long road trip. Very conveniently just off the highway.
Pros: The area
Cons: The room had a musty smell
Pros: Smoking rooms available.
Cons: Ancient tv! Dirty! Horrible decor from the 70s.
Pros: Price, location near main road and highway. The cable channels were pretty good.
Cons: Where to start. The clerk could not find my booking.com reservation, so at first charged me for only one night. The towels were clean, but had stains on them from something. Only half the plugs worked in the room, most of the working plugs had things plugged into them. There was bare essential amenities in the room, one soap, no coffee coffeemaker. But there was a mini fridge and a microwave at least. I'm glad I stayed here by myself and not my family.
Cons: The first room they had us in the lights didnt work so they put us in a second room where the toulet didnt work so the maintenance guy came down to fix it and didnt work so they put us in a 3rd room where the maintenance guy started killing cockroaches on the walls in the room. I asked the manager for our money back he refused the matress was stained the room overall was dirty never again will i ever go there im reporting it to the health department
Pros: The beds were VERY comfortable, the place is clean and the location is good. The price is good for the area.
Cons: The fridges and microwave did not work. They don't have an ice machine on site. The smoke detector was missing, just wires hanging out of the wall and the phone was not plugged in and no wire in sight.
Pros: The tv was the best thing in the room
Cons: Didn’t have clean towels, they were all on the ground by the toilet, shower was dirty, the bed doesn’t have sturdy frame, about rolled off the bed because it tilted once you rolled to one side, only 3 of the 6 lights worked
Pros: Great staff
Cons: Bathrooms were not clean
Pros: The room was very comfortable. It was spacious and newly renovated. Much nicer than it looked from the outside. Good value for the money
Cons: The property was not very well marked. We went right past it at first.
Pros: Clean room

Pros: price was good, close to highway
Cons: facilities are older. place was a bit run down
Cons: The room was not very clean. We called about the pool, was told it was open. It wasn’t. NOTHING for breakfast. (Stall ceral and old fruit). Found 2 roaches (dying at least) disappointing for a Red Roof Inn.
Pros: Comfortable and clean
Pros: Update your records the name of the motel has changed it change two months ago why don’t you know this
Cons: Very friendly owners in desperate
Pros: The room smelled really bad. I had to go buy air freshen to get the smell out. I killed a roach in the bathroom. Never will i stay there again.
