The place was very clean, my appartment (201) was huge (estimate 70-80m2), the bed was comfortable and I slept like a rock (even if the pillow was too damned big IMO), the WiFi worked perfectly, breakfast was fine, staff was friendly and efficient, price was quite resonable, bathroom was clean and had a big bathtub, and the location of the hotel is within easy walking distance of the Hauptbahnhof, and within 15-20 min. brisk walk of "Marienplatz". If you're simply looking for a place to sleep and stash your suitcase, then by all means considder Hotel Verdi. If you are looking to use the kitchen or spend significant time in the hotel, pick somewhere else.
To be honest, my room/appartment at Hotel Verdi had some of the most worn out interior that I've encountered so far. The bottom of one of the couches had gone out, the other one had a gash in the upholstery, I never managed to get the TV to work (claimed it didn't have any signal), the oven had two dials missing, the freezer was over-iced, I can't say how well the fridge functioned, the lights over the mirror in the bathroom didn't work, and I doubt that the powersocket worked either (didn't test it). Finally, the hotel is situated in a predominantly "non-german native" area, and there is a couple of lapdancing establishments nearby. The last part didn't give me any cause for problems or bother, but it's worth knowing I think.
The hotel is very clean, comfortable, many facilities, homely, close by railway station but also by Center of Munich; the staff is very friendly, polite. We liked very much there! There hotels with more luxury inside, but the price is very exagerated. At Verdi for the price, the conditions are very good! A lot of success to them and keep in this way!
The TVs programs! I could n' t find any channel with movies in English (classical movies or nice), nor channels as Science, Discovery, History, National Geographic, .... Too many movies porno!??? For a family with a child is not proper, for instance! These should be accessible only if it' s paid for them.
Personal was very friendly, room big enough, wifi access excellent. Sufficiently close to the city center. The breakfast was excellent.
The hotel is located behind the spermarket which case a lot of noise, especially in the morning. The access to the parking place is a bit difficult due to supermarket activity, but the personnel was very helpfull.
Have to entrance throu a food market
Location is in a walking distance either to the historical center and shopping street or to Octoberfest. Very close to the Hauptbahnhoff.
The hotel is located in the Turkish area of Munich, close to hauptbahnhoff, in the courtyard of the Turkish supermarket.
The room appeared to be newly renovated and was very large and comfortable, especially the bath. The kitchen area was also surprisingly nice. The hotel is on a courtyard rather than the street, so it was quiet. Very centrally located (a five-minute walk to the train station, 20 minutes to the Marienplatz).
It would have been nice if they had supplied more towels. Also, although the kitchen was nice, there was little in the way of utensils and equipment - no dishtowels, dishsoap, and no coffeemaker. The neighborhood is not the greatest, but we were happy about the central location.
very, very close to the railwaystation, and in the center of the city of Munich
Room 107 is a brandnew apartment, and very comfortable. The biggest room we ever had ! The room lies in the back of the street, very quiet.Further a lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood.
The room was very clean and having a kitchen was very convenient.
Sometimes a strong smell entered the room, even when the window was closed.
Central , good internet connection ,friendly and very kind staff.Rooms are big enough and kitchen facilities and satellite TV in the room.
Large room and large bathroom. Price relatively ok. "Kitchen" was a plus (wasn't clean though).
Room and especially floor felt dirty. Noisy during daytime (sounded like somebody was moving furniture). Neighbourhood wasn't the nicest one.
