The staff here is truly outstanding. The front desk staff was excellent. Very helpful and great with answering any questions. Everyone speaks english should you need it. The restaurant staff was also friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The location is really ideal. Just 2 subway stops from the main area downtown and in a very safe, quiet, upscale neighborhood. If you were to walk, it's an easy 40 minutes. The rooms are lovely and tastefully decorated. There is a beautiful garden on the main floor and a great terrace on the fourth floor with sauna, steam bath and small gym. I would stay here again without hesitation. nothing - everything was great!
This is not a typical formula hotel. The room felt like it could be in someone's home. It was easy to forget we were ina hotel.
everyone was very polite ,young and good behaivor No carpet in the room.
The whole experience. The staff were very friendly and professional. The room spacious.
The room was very clean and bright. The hotel staff kept the room very clean and were very congenial. Lack of any blankets besides the down comforter. The comforter was too hot for the weather and without air-conditioned rooms they wre just too wram to use.
The hotel front desk staff (all of them) were amazing! They were super helpful, courteous and friendly. The wait staff in the dining room (we only ate breakfast there), were also terrific. The hotel should be complimented on hiring and training such great employees. Hotel was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Room was spacious, and many amenities were complimentary .
Extremely comfortable, excellent service, superb location
great friendly staff
Big room, nicely disigned, helpful personnel, reasonable internet access offer, flexible cancellation policy no good coffe for breakfast, no TV channel in Russian
Loved everything here as usual when in Munich: friendliness of staff, beautifully appointed rooms and bathrooms, cleanliness, fantastic breakfast and all the little extras. Free wi-fi should be standard in this category; some rooms overlooking street can be noisy;
wonderful, very friendly and helpful staff! Very good breakfast, marvellous garden, nice athmosphere, we had a very good time there and we surely will come again! noisy room (couldnt sleep for hours), no air condition, bath room very small, general condition not acceptabel for five stars (bath door did not close properly, door of the safe banging against the furniture door, you have to switch off several lights when leaving the room ...)
We felt very welcome - friendly and helpfull staff, good breakfast and pretty decor. The location, in a residential neighbourhood, is very calm and pleasant. The position is quite far from the railway station. Room and toilet were small - but compensated for by a lovely conservatory.
Excellent location and very friendly and helpful staff (front desk, breakfast etc.). Will definitely stay here again.
Very friendly and comfortable, and the perfect base for the Munich Opera Festival.
atmosphere & vicinity to Maximillian Strasse
It was a pleasure to stay in such a lovely hotel - excellent breakfast service and very helpful staff. I know Muenchen well and this hotel is in a great position. Finding any light switches near the bed was a small problem but it would not deter me from staying there again.
The room exceeded our expectation, very good location, excellent service.
The staff and breakfast The hotel was very expensive; out of date and needs a renowal
Character of the hotel. Made a change from the usual anonynmous modern box. Breakfast served at the table made apleasant change. No
Hotel de charme with excellent polite staff. Convenient location near Maximilian Strasse in a quiet road with nice places to eat and drink. Spacious tastefully furnished room with balcony overlooking the Renaissance courtyard. Breakfast served at the table. No air conditioning.
Beds and breakfast invisible step in the entrence whwre I fell badly Tobaccosmoke woke us up in the middle of the night
location,, close but far enough away to get a better feel for the city
We stayed during Oktoberfest, and the hotel was fully booked. The staff was very helpful and curteous. Fairly basic hotel accomodations, but clean. Hotel was in a quiet part of city, just outside the old town with very convenient access to the metro. Near some nice bars and restaurants.
caring and helpful staff
conveniently located near the Garten and the U-bahn, walking distance to both. room was clean, bathroom was extremely large - however the shower was a stall only, even though there was room for a tub in there. Internet was available in the Lobby on a computer, however we could never get the wireless to connect to the Droid phone. the first person that greeted us when we first arrived was very nice, the rest seemed a bit grumpy. It was busy due to Oktoberfest, but still... We arrived at 9 am, check-in is 2. they held our bags for us so we could site see, but when we arrived back at 2:30, our room was still not ready. We had the only room on that level w/out a street view and in the morning we clearly heard the kitchen/restaurant staff through our window via the courtyard below at 5 am. We were on the first floor - which equates to the 2nd floor in US, there was no elevator to this floor. I don't mind stairs, but there was elevator to other levels. Bathroom seemed a bit "hospital-ish" with it's huge size, but mostly it's sterile feel.
Friendly staff and nice location. Some restaurants nearby. Internet not working, plumbing problems, no hot water over w/e and mon
Location is ideal Bathrooms in our room (104) had bad drains
Very friendly staff who made our Munich holidays comfortable.
large rooms so many stairs and the lifts don't lead to rooms, rather lauggage must be carried on stairs
close to munich city center , about 10 min
Great central location No parking
Friendly staff, decent location, clean, atmosphere Expensive during fair period
The location is great, really nice neighbourhood, great parts of the city (centre) as well as Englischer Garten within walking distance. It would be a good service if using the internet on the public computer would be for free. I'm glad my room was not facing the street, I can imagine that the tramline going past the house can be quite noisy.
Our room was very nicely furnitured, very nice and new bathroom with a warmed floor, which is very convenient. Very quiet hotel not far from the very center. Parking is free. Breakfast seemed a bit poor. No omlett (only boiled eggs), no sausages, no frsh juice. Internet in the lobby is not free.
excellent staff, convenient to city activities internet service not always available
small, quite and very clean hotel wc there were no: lotion, bath cap
I truly enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel. It was like coming into a old home and being greeted by a friendly landlord instead of a sterile/professional business hotel one so often chooses. The friendly and serviceminded personal was the key element.
Central in Munich, close to subway, cosy atmosphere
This is a charming hotel with helpful and polite staff. Although the location is somewhat removed from Marienplatz, there is a metro station across the street and around the corner a lovely square with several wonderful restaurants & cafes. An additional plus: we were able to park our car in front of the hotel. Except for a misunderstanding about my room reservation which was rectified in the end, our experience was fabulous!
The kind helpfulness of the staff. The Library The availability of the Herald Tribune The water pressure The front steps
Spacious room No free wireless internet access in room (hotspot wi-fi is available in room but is not free).
Nice room and breakfast, the location is just north of Marienplatz. As a suggestion, if you have 3 or more people, it's actually cheaper to get a taxi from Marienplatz than to take the U-bahn unless you have a day pass - only about 6 euros. It'd be nice if the hotel set up a free internet station
It is not so far from city center. Very small rooms with thin walls, so you easily hear every sound from corridor and nearest rooms. Shower is inconvenient and room itself is uncomfortable because of its small size. Well, it is not so bad, but I think these rooms don't match the price.
The apartment was arranged for us though we paid for the double room. Also the facilities there were great! The lift and staircase, if I have several big luggages, might have issue to the room.
Firstly the location close to the centre of the city and the english garden (very profitable for runners). The room was comfortable and clean. The price excellent
The rate was very high during Octoberfest
Quality of room, bathroom, room facilities & breakfast; practical location (close to underground station); quiet neighbourhood; friendly & helpful staff absence of coffee-making facility in room
only 10 min to the city center, parking, wifi, standart germany breakfest
Excellent location, comfortable beds, good showers, extra security with second inner locking door. could use a fresh coat of paint in the hallways for better presentation, walls were a little thin (meaning could hear alot of the activity in the hallway and adjoining rooms) but it was not busy during our stay so it wasn't a problem.
The location is 1 stop or 15 minutes from the down town area.It is a very quiet location, nice big rooms and parking. the breakfast was poor so i am pleased to have walked 2 blocks to a cafe for 5 euros and had a coffee & pastry.
Breakfast was good, although the space in the breakfast room is kind of small. Perfect location - 1 min to U4 and U5 metro station. No lift, reception closes around 21.00 which is very early, if you have questions-there is nobody, the inner space outside of the hotel is a bit too dark.
Friendliness of staff No DSF on television
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is good and quiet, located away from the noise of the main road. Room was big and had a huge LCD TV. Latest decor for bathroom and shower area. Great value for money! It was located near a church, so you have 1 ring every 15 mins, and the hourly chimes, from 7am to 10pm - natural alarm clock, but can get rather irritating after awhile.
Good location of the hotel (just in front of the exit from the underground), good value for money, polite and helpful staff. A lift is missing and the code lock system seems hard to operate (and also too prone to malfunctions), which makes the hotel problematic for people with disabilities regarding mobility or sight.
The best 2-star hotel, that I've been to. Brand new furnishing. Location is good. There is a U-bahn station just across the street. 2 stops away you have Marienplatz. Well, in fact the 15 min. walk between the hotel and the center of Munich is a very pleasant and beautiful one. The neighborhood of the hotel is also cozy if you look around a little. All in all a highly recomendable hotel.
