The location was great for walking to the old city. We would recommend if you are interested in this part of Munich to turn in your car if you have one. Driving is hectic and parking expensive. Breakfast was great if you got there early.
The fourth floor smelled like someone had taken a room deodorizer to mask an unpleasant smell. This experience was repeated in my room, which smelled even more (perhaps like it had been a smoking room once) and there were numerous stains on the carpet and shower curtain.
Plenty of hot water from a powerful shower head. The staff were friendly and when explaining issues regarding noise to receptionist he changed our rooms for us. Unfortunately he could not solve the ehs issue. I made complaints while there but I want to re-iterate that it is simply ridiculous that in order to have a twin room, the beds lie beneath the bed-side shelf. I do not want to wake up during the night have hit my head of the corner of a thick wooden shelf. There was no practical space- nowhere to put luggage, nowhere to leave a toothbrush. The only shelf was cluttered with empty containers. The lighting was appalling. I liked the red and the mood lighting but I couldn't read the a/c settings on the wall with every single light switched on. I expected it to be small so the space was not an issue just the impractical layout.
Access to all areas of munich incl english garden and uban. Also close to decent bars and rest Incredibly cramped toilet in room 9 - I wouldn't stay again because of that
the breakfast :) safe not working, was not repaired even on asking for it 2-3 times
Everything was as I had anticipated it would be.
size, comfort, quiet of the room expensive internet connection
Claenliness of the room and the very well kept hotel in general.
I just like the stuff. This is neither a 4 star nor a boutique hotel. Just a painted pension. The was no bathroom in my room even I stayed in a double room.Toilet, shower and lavatory were placed separately in the room. There is a 2 star hotel on the other side of the street it is cheaper and more compfortable than this one.
Location Room & bath too smal
The hotel is in a good place into Munich. The room was a little bit small.
The staff were very friendly and the location was excellent The Air Conditioning does NOT work! It is extremely hot in the hotel, even when its cool and rainy outside. If you keep the window open then the noise from the street is very loud and the fan just cannot keep up.
Great location and value for the money. Courteous hotel staff. Would stay here again. Very small room, but not a big issue since we used the hotel only as a place to sleep.
The breakfast is very good. Heater doesn't work well.
Location, price and was quiet (apart from dustbin collection morning!). Staff were great, breakfast pretty good. Can walk to the city centre, Englisher Garten etc.
It's location - in the center of Munich. The breakfast was delightful and rich. The staff was very friendly and helped us a lot. Rooms are very small, but it wasn't so bad.
position parking not available; room very small
The location was very good. It was near the main railway station and old city centre. And the staff is also helpful. Breakfast was nice. I have a car and i need a parking space for my car. The hotel has a special parking space on site but it's really difficult to park in there. Very small and narrow.
Fiendly, clean and tidy. Good vfm No air con so hot and stuffy with windows shut; noisy with windows open (but didn't bother me).
Hotel Antares provided an affordable alternative to the other Oktoberfest price-gauged hotels. The free breakfast was great, and I was pleasantly surprised by the large and modern bathroom. The hotel is located in a really cute neighborhood, just a 10 minute walk to Old Town, 5 minutes to Odeonsplatz, and a 30 minute walk to the main train station. The rooms here are really tiny, even for European standards. We stayed on an unseasonably warm fall night, so we had to sleep with the windows open for some fresh air. This meant that all the noises of the city on a Friday night carried up into our room. I don't blame the hotel, but with only 7 stories, it's hard to find a room away from the noise.
Very helpful staff and easy walking distance to the centre of the city. Some good restaurants and cafes and the Englishchergarten is nearby Very small room; hard pillows
The hotel had a lovely breakfast buffet included in the rate. Definitely a plus.
Basic amenities, provides what one expects from a hotel: room with bathroom, door locks, quiet enough and decent breakfast.
Awesome breakfast, super friendly staff None
I did enjoy the short distance to the old city and the surrounding parks The internet connection was poor or non-existing.
The facility was out of date Internet was very slow and had to log in with ID and Password every time I use it Staff were rude and were not helpful, when asked for recommendation on where to eat they just told me to turn right and go down the street and there was nothing there when I did. Bed was very small with not enough cushion I had to check my room key in every time I left and came back to the room
The location is pretty nice, the breakfast was reasonable, and the room was very clean. Equipment of the bathroom wasn't neither modern, nor convenient. Internet in the hotel is not free (for some reason they were charging 3 dollars per day), but I was able to connect to a random wifi network from a nearby cafe.
the rooms are much too small for 3* hotel and the furniture inside is like in a hostel to reduce the number of stars to 2*
It was off the beaten track, but still close enough to walk to all the key attractions within the city center. In one of the nicest areas of Munich.
simple, comfortable, quiet, nice bed on platform, nothing fancy, great location, very friendly staff, windows open up for fresh air, good lighting, roomy bathroom, cool balcony. Not the Ritz but if you want to be near great places in Munich, this is nice. Super breakfast.
The hotel was very nice and was a good location. The breakfast was great, and the staff was nice. Rooms were good sized and nicely furnished. Also it was really nice to have the free internet in the lobby. Several times we asked the staff for information and tips on sightseeing. They were very nice and helpful, but did not have very much information to provide. We also had difficulty paying with two separate credit cards on check-out, even though when we checked in we were told this would be no problem.
Location. rooms are big enough. The pictures are deceptive, we had an old room that didn't look like the pictures. The bathroom was especially old. The breakfast room is too small.
Very nice room
Breakfast was excellent Internet connection was poor
Hotel Hauser was a great little hotel, right next to the university. Close to a metro stop and it's even an okay walk to the city center. Staff was friendly and breakfast great. No iron, but that's typical of Europe. Also the room doors were hard to lock/unlock and you had to actually put the key in and lock it from the inside when you got in the room.
Bathroom is tiny. Not much room to move around in the double room - there is around 30 cm space between the bed and the table
the location near the University and it is close to the Underground stop.l
This hotel is very convenient to the subway system, friendly staff, and clean rooms.
Excellent service from this friendly, well located hotel. Clean, good breakfast and well decorated rooms
free internet access
The hotel is well located and accessible to anywhere in Munchen with good public transportation. Breakfast is of quality and I especially appreciate the possibility to leave my luggage for more than a few days there. It is very thoughtful and generous of the direction. For this I'll return to this hotel again in the near future.
staff, breakfast, convienec to everything early cleaning--but with do not disturb sign--no problem
The location is perfect for visiting at LMU. The building is a little noisy.
The location is 1 stop or 15 minutes from the down town area.It is a very quiet location, nice big rooms and parking. the breakfast was poor so i am pleased to have walked 2 blocks to a cafe for 5 euros and had a coffee & pastry.
The apartment was arranged for us though we paid for the double room. Also the facilities there were great! The lift and staircase, if I have several big luggages, might have issue to the room.
Firstly the location close to the centre of the city and the english garden (very profitable for runners). The room was comfortable and clean. The price excellent
Excellent location, comfortable beds, good showers, extra security with second inner locking door. could use a fresh coat of paint in the hallways for better presentation, walls were a little thin (meaning could hear alot of the activity in the hallway and adjoining rooms) but it was not busy during our stay so it wasn't a problem.
Quality of room, bathroom, room facilities & breakfast; practical location (close to underground station); quiet neighbourhood; friendly & helpful staff absence of coffee-making facility in room
It is not so far from city center. Very small rooms with thin walls, so you easily hear every sound from corridor and nearest rooms. Shower is inconvenient and room itself is uncomfortable because of its small size. Well, it is not so bad, but I think these rooms don't match the price.
The rate was very high during Octoberfest
only 10 min to the city center, parking, wifi, standart germany breakfest
Nice room and breakfast, the location is just north of Marienplatz. As a suggestion, if you have 3 or more people, it's actually cheaper to get a taxi from Marienplatz than to take the U-bahn unless you have a day pass - only about 6 euros. It'd be nice if the hotel set up a free internet station
Spacious room No free wireless internet access in room (hotspot wi-fi is available in room but is not free).
Good location, conformable bed and very clean sheets Room is small and a little noisy
quirky rooms bathroom tiny and sink in bedroom and not bathroom - reception not clearly signposted and hard to find when arriving late at night
Nice size rooms, very clean, comfy beds could do with more pillows as they were very soft, bathrooms are very small but do the job
Level of the hotel was in reality much lower than description, their website, and some reviews. Poor value, as the price was not so cheap.
The location is absolutely wonderful - the whole of Munich is right at your door step, without having to pay too much. It is located on a street with everything and anything one could need. Rooms are individually decorated with what appears to be antique furniture.
Location was good. Staff was friendly.
There are very kindness staff. Too narrow road to parking area.
Very close to shops and restruants, all the rooms are different bathrooms are very small, and the toilets make a lot of noise!!
The hotel staff was wonderful and very friendly. Excellent location. Nothing
right in the city, could walk to shops, cafes and museums. offered parking for 10 euros a day. and the price of the hotel included breakfast. staff was not always there. was a bit confusing as to where to park and how to access the hotel when we came back from a night out we needed a code to get in but no one gave us that code.
Great location. Rooms were nice and clean.
