Location, efficiency, friendly staff
Our rooms were in the new wing which is a fair walk from the lift with a number of confusing doors. Also the views from the rooms overlooking the courtyard were poor with some concrete constructions in front of the windows.
We liked the attention to detail and friendliness, helpfulness of the staff. Breakfast buffet was excellent.
Luxury environment, great music selection, very nice breakfast, great location
Location was fabulous. Hotel was clean, safe, quiet.
It offers so much inside that youeasily spend a weekend not leaving the hotel. There is a huge difference in the types of rooms available. the smallest rooms are really too small but are still well appointed. There was a significant amount of building work with associated noise.
The service, the sun terrace, pool and gym area, the situation in Munich, the brekfast The smelling of the room
They gave us probably the oldest room in the house. I stayed there 2 months ago and had a totally different room... Was because of booking via booking.com or because booking late? Who knows...
The whole experience - the attentiveness of the staff, the comfort of the room and the location of the hotel. As it was a business trip I didn't have a chance to use the spa or eat in the restaurants (as we ate out) but will definitely be back.
The rooms were incredibly spacious and the service was excellent. The beds were a bit firm, and they were the weird Euro style -- two twin beds made a king. Other than that, it was wonderful!
fantastic hotel, very helpful and friendly staff, upgraded us to a junior suite which was very spacious, would not hesitate to visit again
Location is perfect but no value for money Location is perfect but no value for money
This is a five star location with two star rooms. Go out the front door and walk to all the good sites. The rooms were very disappointing. Old, needs updating. Very overpriced for the room
The location of the hotel was excellent. The room was incredibly small for the cost/five star rating
The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful - pleasant attitudes . The first room they showed us was unkempt looking (rumpled bed) - it also had a damp odor, The hotel lobby is lovely - however, the hallway rugs are faded and sometimes stained. The rooms are small and need updating (desparately!!!)
Very gool luxury hotel, with heritage, traditions and royal atmosphere. Excellent food arrangements, bars and restaurants. Comfortable rooms. Friendly service. We arrived to the hotel at 18.00, and it found out thet our room was not yet ready. No wireless internet in rooms was available.
The staff really made you feel like a VIP guest, and were friendly and efficient.
the staff were very helpful, location great room is quite small and bland!
Excellent hotel, with perfect location. Extremely helpfull and friendly staff, gourmet food, comfortable rooms. None
Freindly staff, and a nice spa. The LAN internet connection is very bad, and it`s not worth paying for.
The room facilities The lobby is very loud you can't hear anything , and the rooms hallway is very old
The location is exellent, THE BEST in Munich. Too much people from the Middle East 90%
Excellent service Bit expensive, breakfast very expensive and bar a bit small
Classic and classy design, location, staff, breakfast, the music at the bar.
Ambiance, cleanliness and nice staff
The rooms are wll furnished, good high speed internet, excellent central location The Breakfast is a total rip off. It does not matter what you order, you pay €27. Thi sis simply outrageous rip off.
The decoration of the room and the free wi-fi. The exterior of the building
theirs great restraint for dinar and good serves rely thanx allot its mazing
Luxury room and good services
excellent concierge service. Reception did utmost to give us a room we were happy with. Excellent breakfast staff. Very poor views (look out onto a multi storey car park) from back of hotel and I had requested a room with view on booking form. Very disappointing to get allocated very small room with car park building darkening the room even more. The gym is too small!!
I would like to thank all the staff for the excellent services they have provided to us during our recent stay for the christmas holidays. We were very happy to be there. Rooms were very clean and spacious with excellent decoration. Ideal location in the centre of the old town. We strong recommend this hotel .
everything top class: location, service, restaurants, roof bar.. Internet access is not included in the roomrate, unusual for a hotel of this class. No WIFI, only wired access available
The location was superb, the room very quiet
Unbelievable experience, it was the first time that I've seen in a hotel the following, all the staff knew the guest name, a prayer carpet and a compass was prepared in the room(respect to the Muslim guest needs), complements fruit and minibar without alcoholic drinks refilled on a daily basis. The room services food is the best in quality. And laundry service fulfills the guest needs. Never the less the location of the hotel is the best, and it worth every cent. Finally one of the main reasons that will make me to come back to Munich is this hotel.
Excellent front desk staff, concierge services, drinks and atmosphere in the bar, rooms design, prime location No
good and friendly service, central location a big plus
Balcony, accommodating staff. When I had asked if I could check in 2 hours early, they said yes. When I arrived it turned out this was not possible. Which would have been fine if I wasn't am traveling for 10 hours and if everything in Munich wasn't closed on Sunday's.
Hotel is beautiful, upscale, modern and comfortable. Location is top rate, directly across from the virtualize markt. The staff was very friendly - though they seemed to have some issues which I suspect are from the hotel being rather new. Staff needs to be better trained in restarting the room with amenities. Coffee, sugar, other items were often not re-supplied. Room heating system failed while we were there; howevet, hey did supply us with a portable heater that worked well,
Great location. Great staff. Awesome fitness center.
The location was perfect, the breakfast was enough full and staff was very welcome and helpful. We enjoyed our staying there.
The staff, breakfast & location
The location, staff and cleanliness were fantastic. The rooms were actually larger than I expected. Beds were too hard.....but it seems most Euro branded hotels are thus way.
location Suggest to travelers that they do not drive in Munich. We received excellent directions from the hotel and doorman made parking very easy, but Munich is not a city to drive in, even if it is only coming and going. Take public transport.
Everything was perfect ... literally . every staff member seemed to know my name . The room was outstanding. Big , clean and just the right temperature . No in house movies . Everything else was fantastic
Great location - staff very helpful and curteous.
Location was very convenient to Marien Platz, Hoffbrau Haus and city market. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The only complaint we had was not being able to lower the thermostat setting in our room.
The quiet rooms, central location, and excellent breakfast. Reception was very helpful. Highly recommended.
The location of the hotel and the competent and helpful staff in reception and lobby.
Excellent location what ever do you do - go out in the city, go to the restaurants or shopping. Easy accessable public transport (Tram and S-bahn). Noisless environment. Frendly staff. Comfortable bed. Quite small room. Old and small (14") TV set. Embarrassing remote control (only 6 buttons). It is time to change ordinarie room locks to more modern card locks.
Buffet breakfast was above average. Only the lack of Air Condictioning. But I suppose temperatures in the 80's F are not common in Munich-?
Small rooms, with budget furniture. Seems more like a 3 star hotel. Internet available for a fee - this is 21st century, internet should be free! More, it was not working! :-(. Overall, the value doesn't justify the money. 145 Euros per night is too much! You may want to try a 5 star at this price.
Very comfortable and helpful, friendly staff. Room was very nice and reasonable size. Location is perfect for central Munich. paying for wifi. 8 euro per hour with T-moblie
Location only Internet connection problems, towels looking very old, expensive for what it offers
location and good breakfast no aircondition,
Location. Acceptable breakfast. Good service. No air conditioning. No elevator. No included wi-fi. Far from a 4 star hotel.
Good location. Center of MUnich. Internet is not free of charge
The location was excellent,The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was terrific, and the room was nice.
Excellent location, helpful staff, clean rooms.
Breakfast View, street noise, some staff unfriendly and unaccommodating, no minibar (refrigerator). Very expensive.
breakfast, room cleanliness, location price may be a bit high
very good location, nice quite big room, srawberries and sparkling wine for breakfast no mini-bar at the room, no warm breakfast
Great location, walking distance to most historical areas and great restaurants, very easy & reasonable parking, excellent breakfast. Quiet, clean rooms. Very updated and clean
Location is fantastic; right in the center of everything. The hotel is lovely and romantic. The service and breakfast are top notch, and everything was kept very clean. Given these, I would say the overall value is very good. My room was rather small. It was fine for an overnight business trip and I generally don't need much space. But if you prefer a larger room, this may not be the best fit. I would gladly give up space for the other amenities and price, however.
The location is very central, short walking distance to shopping areas, etc. The surrounding area offers quite a few good restaurants. Good breakfast. We could literally hear people in the next room talking. You need to climb some steps to reach the elevator, and there were some additional steps just before reaching our room. Therefore, it caused some inconvenience when we needed to take the kinderwagen to the room. however, the hotel helps you with storing it at the entrance. However, overall I will rate this hotel as very good.
The location of the hotel, the presonnell as well as the La Famiglia restaurant was ok. The singleroom was very small and we had to change it to a doubleroom for single use. No information in english in the rooms. Very small TV in the rooms, could hardly watch it from your bed. I got a feeling this hotel was meant for elderly persons without children. The breakfast was quite ok but could have included scrumbled eggs, sausages, bacon etc.
Excellent location and services. Very polite and helpful staff.
Location, cosiness rooms too small
Convenience: best location, having an in-house cafe for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon coffee (with delicious pastries!) Style: rooms, common areas thoughtfully and attractively designed Staff: first rate, attentive and accommodating
staff very cold towards guests, staff loudly fighting and arguing in front of guests, poor breakfast buffet offer, very high price for the service rendered
Very nice hotel. Absence of the air conditioning made my stay not so comfortable, it was too hot in the room, what is not acceptable for such expensive hotel.
Good hotel, good breakfast
It was a clean room, and the staff was very nice.
Great location, good size room and bathroom. Decent breakfast.
The location was excellent! The noice was coming from outside surprisingly clearly.
The location of the hotel was excellent. We were initally booked in for 2 nights and decided to stay another night. Once we parked our car we did not need it again until we checked out as we were able to walk everywhere. The staff were friendly and our room was clean and comfortable.
Location in munich, comfortable room, adequate dinning room, good service, friendly staff, reception good, doorway assistance good. People were both friendly and helpfull. Rooms were not heated to usa standards but qit all right vs other hotels of same class in germany.
The location was excellent. The room was very noisy, no tea/coffee facilities, no aircon, very very poor value for money - it was twice the price of the 2 other hotels that were four star that I stayed in, and half as nice!! Not a 4 star hotel if I compare it to others.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel is on a small side street within a short walk to the Marienplatz and Munich's famous Glockenspiel. We stayed one Saturday night in November, and while the hotel is located on a small, quiet side street, it shares that street with a bar. Now that the laws in Germany have changed and smoking is no longer allowed in bars and restaurants, people must go out onto the street to smoke. So the quiet street transforms into a loud, crowded extension of the bar from about 11:00 in the evening until 5:00 am the next morning.
Very responsive. Not a thing.
Central location, excellent breakfast selection, reliable service, old world charm. The front desk staff is distant rather than friendly, but they are efficient and get the job done, which is enough for me.
nice bar, lovely clean room restaurant was small and we could not get a reservation
Location, nice rooms, nice staff no
Food, quiet, central location, helpful staff Room heating on ground floor was barely adequate
Excellent room, v quiet but with all mod cons and in the centre of town.
Closer to the Marienplatz and ability to cook light meals The celings were too low; I bumped my head a couple of times while getting up from the bed or the sitting area. The hotel did not provide detalied direction on how to go there from ythe metro station; very difficult to find the hotel.
The apartment had everything a couple would need in a great location in the old part of town near the Hofbrahaus. We found the staff to be excellent, very friendly and more than willing to help in all cases. We madea mistake with our reservation and thought we were checking out a day later. We arrived back from an excursion in the afternoon of our actual departure and realised we needed to get to Frankfurt airport with 4 hours! Unfortunately we weren't able to make it however all 3 staff tried as best as they could to arrange many details. Thankyou The air-conditioning was lousy and the pillows were large yet soft, otherwise quite fine
Very clean and very quiet, excellent shower. Very expensive
My self-catering suite was huge, spotless and wonderfully presented with great furnishings. The little kitchen was very handy and the balcony over the courtyard charming. The hotel's location was fantastic - a short stroll to Marienplatz and the centre of things. Staff at reception were very helpful. It was relatively expensive at €195 a night and breakfast wasn't included in the price of the room.
location and hotel staff
Everything, beautiful, clean hotel. Great location In room refreshemnts were way overpriced
Staff were very helpful, and friendly. Hotel in a wonderful location for the old part of Munich. Not really a 4* Hotel, room standard a good 3*, breakfast buffet average and overpriced at 37 euros for two.
Liked the way the bathroom could be visually integrated into the sleeping area (glass wall) by opening the sliding door. Trendy cocktail bar. Super location close to Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt. Could have done without the strip joint opposite, which leads to late night traffic
The location was excellent. The rooms were very nice and clean. Breakfast was not included in the rate as with other hotels we stayed at.
Staff were very helpful and efficient. Decor and ambience excellent. Comfortable lobby and pleasant outdoor area. Needed more wardrobe and cupboard space for clothes and toiletries. Pillows very hard and uncomfortable.
The hotel is beautiful. lovely attention to detail. spacious, clean design, playful and elegant. Emiko restaurant tastes were delicious. The hotel is in an excellent spot to have a romantic walk through Munich center in the evening, or enjoying the sights and sounds of the Viktualienmarkt in the morning. The room was a bit chilly.
What we liked best about the Louis was our room, which was a very affordable room, and was still spacious and comfortable and stylish and it felt like we were staying in a really cozy, upscale bedroom - it did not feel like a hotel room. Oh and the hotel smells amazingly good. The only thing I would change about the room is, we would have appreciated a tea/coffee bar to prepare our own hot drinks; this is a feature we use all the time in hotels, when available. That is the only thing I consider lacking in the room.
They recognised me from previous visit and upgraded me. Gorgeous design of room and facilities. Great location.
Location, the room and staff
Decor was elegant and unusual e.g. recessed closet space. Room (courtyard-facing) was very quiet despite very central city location. Maybe it's louder in summer? There was a restaurant on the terrace directly below. Breakfast tasted absolutely terrific - ingredients all bought fresh at amazing farmer's market across the street. Staff at desk, in restaurant were friendly, cheerful and eager to help. Upon my request, they instantly replaced the "desk stool" with a chair with a back. Stylish and pleasant lobby encouraged a convivial atmosphere. Daily shoe polish service, daily newspaper were nice amenities. Wireless (included in rate) worked flawlessly. Excellent shower an Platform bed was a little bit uncomfortable.
Access to all areas of munich incl english garden and uban. Also close to decent bars and rest Incredibly cramped toilet in room 9 - I wouldn't stay again because of that
I just like the stuff. This is neither a 4 star nor a boutique hotel. Just a painted pension. The was no bathroom in my room even I stayed in a double room.Toilet, shower and lavatory were placed separately in the room. There is a 2 star hotel on the other side of the street it is cheaper and more compfortable than this one.
the breakfast :) safe not working, was not repaired even on asking for it 2-3 times
The fourth floor smelled like someone had taken a room deodorizer to mask an unpleasant smell. This experience was repeated in my room, which smelled even more (perhaps like it had been a smoking room once) and there were numerous stains on the carpet and shower curtain.
Everything was as I had anticipated it would be.
The staff were very friendly and the location was excellent The Air Conditioning does NOT work! It is extremely hot in the hotel, even when its cool and rainy outside. If you keep the window open then the noise from the street is very loud and the fan just cannot keep up.
size, comfort, quiet of the room expensive internet connection
The location was great for walking to the old city. We would recommend if you are interested in this part of Munich to turn in your car if you have one. Driving is hectic and parking expensive. Breakfast was great if you got there early.
Location Room & bath too smal
Plenty of hot water from a powerful shower head. The staff were friendly and when explaining issues regarding noise to receptionist he changed our rooms for us. Unfortunately he could not solve the ehs issue. I made complaints while there but I want to re-iterate that it is simply ridiculous that in order to have a twin room, the beds lie beneath the bed-side shelf. I do not want to wake up during the night have hit my head of the corner of a thick wooden shelf. There was no practical space- nowhere to put luggage, nowhere to leave a toothbrush. The only shelf was cluttered with empty containers. The lighting was appalling. I liked the red and the mood lighting but I couldn't read the a/c settings on the wall with every single light switched on. I expected it to be small so the space was not an issue just the impractical layout.
The hotel is in a good place into Munich. The room was a little bit small.
Claenliness of the room and the very well kept hotel in general.
