Pros: Quiet, friendly and helpful staff, clean, nicely decorated. It was very easy to get into Bilbao by train at the suggestion of an hotel staff member.
Cons: There was not obvious to us that we could eat there in the evening and we spent ages unnecessarily trying to find a local restaurant, all of which were shut.
Pros: The hotel was in a lovely, if not easy to find location, and the staff were great. As a bed and breakfast stop it is lovely.
Cons: We had booked on the basis of being able to get an evening meal here. The restaurant is only for breakfast. It is under the flight path for the airport and a new road being built will make it a lot busier.
Pros: The proprietors made us feel very welcome and were most accomodating to us as we were traveling by bicycle.
Pros: This hotel is a gem. It is situated in an unpromising suburb of Bilbao, but is a beautiful building. There are regular, cheap local trains to Bilbao, which is much better than taking your car into the city centre. The hotel is run by a couple with a young family and they coudn't do enough to help and make us feel welcome.
Pros: very comfortable room, and nice welcome from proprietors. Breakfast was very pleasant.
Cons: road works make location slightly difficult to find on foot, need to follow signs carefully!
Pros: Beuatiful location even though next to an industrial estate and Motorway. Handy for the through traveller via Bilbao.
Cons: Could have been more informative about evening meal arrangements. Recommendations for local restaurants not helpful.
Pros: The welcome and friendliness of the owners. Their lovely house in peaceful surroundings, the attention to detail in the decor and beautiful bedroom. A very relaxing place to stay and extremely good value.
Pros: friendly atmosphere quiet location
Cons: Out of the way location which was nice but no dining facility which meant after a long day's drive we were obliged to go out again to eat in the evening and the local restaurant did not open till 21.00 although with a little persuasion this was bought forward to 20.30
Cons: Not as rural as expected. It was close to and overlooking a high way and in the middle of the industrial part of town. Not that charming!!
Cons: no english speaking staff

Pros: Comfortable and clean rrom with modern en suite facilities.
Cons: The half-hearty attempt to provide food in a restaurant that we suspect was officially closed. The meal was awful and it would have been better to tell us dinner was unavailable with a recommendation of where to go for a decent meal.
Pros: The girl on reception really looked after us and took us into Vitoria because their restaurant was closed. We chose her recommended restaurant and it was excellent.
Cons: The restaurant had had an electrical fire and there was only fast food alternatives within walking distance. Only reason for marking down service facilities.
