Hotel staff were polite and efficient. The rooms that face onto the Fontanka canal are too noisy to sleep in. The car traffic is loud and non-stop, there is loud music on that side of the building, and street drinkers congregate just outside the windows. The rooms that face onto a very grimy courtyard are quiet, but tiny. The breakfast provided was a paper lunch bag, with instant cereal, juice and crackers.
The location The noise from the street, and the very run-down entrance/stairway.
This is my second stay here. It's clean, comfortable, and is good value. Location was suitable for my requirements. It is an honest no frills hotel with a light snack type breakfast included. If you want more, look elswhere. Don't be put off by the entrance. It is common with others. The real entrance is one floor up.
Was basic, good value. Area ok. Plenty of variety for eating in the area at various prices and standards. No WiFi/internet, but lots of cafes etc.in the area have this for a reasonable price. Entrance a bit off-putting, but don't worry the hotel (one floor up) is fine.
Very nice hotel in the center of the city. Good restorants and foodshops close to the hotel
The location is great. It was warm in the hotel. There was a safe deposit box in my room. I paid only ~50% of the usual room rate. Good for solo-travelers without sophisticated tastes. The entrance is extremely dirty. The walls in my room were stained with something, and so was the bathroom floor. The room is small. The interior decoration is poor. I don't understand why they claim that it is a hotel of a premium category. The breakfast is poor.
Good place at the city. There is a cooler in the common kitchien. There was warm water all of time. Noisly from a corridor, because of flooring.
friendly staff nothing
It's located in the centre of Spb. It takes a few minutes to go to the Hermitage and other places of interest.
Overall it was a great place to stay, I liked the relaxed atmosphere and that we could use the kitchen to make hot drinks whenever we wanted to. I also liked that we had free use of the computer and internet and printer to print out our e-tickets. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean with clean bedding and towels that were changed every day when necessary. 1. We asked for an extra bed to make a twin room into a triple room, the extra bed was an old sofa bed which was quite bulky compared to the amount of space we had in the room, which meant we had to squeeze past it and climb over it. 2. I paid for the group stay by card. This payment was taken at the head office and I wasn't informed how much money they were going to take from my card until I got home from the trip after the payment had been taken. I already knew the price for the rooms and the airport transfers but I wasn't advised about the registration charge and would have liked to have been given an itemised bill before paying. 3. The snow from the roof was melting & dripping onto plastic under our window which was very noisy.
It is excellent hotel for city trip. cenral location. near metro station and sights. breakfast is good enough. nice staff. there was a bit cold in the room, but hotel staff brought small radiator.
good price, close to city center / хорошая цена, близко к центру города
Excellent location (5 min on foot from Moscow railway station and Nevsky prospect & a lot of different cafes, bars, shops, salons nearby), friendly staff, comfortable room
The hotel staff was polite and helpful; they also offered us transfer from the airport which was reasonable price; the only problem is their rather poor English, but that is not limited to this hotel and its staff, but is a general problem in Russia. I also want to mention rather convenient location of the hotel, which is only 5 min walk from one of the central metro stations; it is also in the walking distance from the main of tourist attractions. There is a computer with solid wired internet access in the lobby, but no possibility for either cable of wifi internet in the rooms
Quite a nice B&B hotel. Location in the city centre, surrounded by lots of places of interest. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms.
Great location and friendly staff. Stairway and warm water. It is not against hotel it is more about owners of this building, might be St.Petersburg жкх.
an attempt of the receptionist to be nice Breakfast was quite poore and uncomfortable, room is small for the price/family size. Almost no curtains - not good for St. Pet summer nights. Stairs is under repairs, etc.
nice people, wll located The entrance door is a bit of a shock but very nice once inside, good breakfast
Enjoyed the proximity to all things of interest--shopping, museums, etc.
Thin walls and doors: you hear too much noise and conversations from other rooms.
friendly stuff too noisy
nice, cosy place with a familiar outlook and friendly management
respect and care by the staff, very nice lady called ludmilla and receptionist very helpful.
nothing!!! bad service, bad smell terrible stuff
Very dirty bathroom
Cute little hotel (only 5 rooms) on a perfect location (side street of Nevski Prospect, near Moskovsky Railway terminal)! Great for a city trip, with everything on walking distance. We had a very good (english speaking!) reception, especially Maria Soboleva was very kind and helpful. Breakfast on the room and visa-registration included. We couldnt'ahve asked for anything more and had a wonderful time in Saint Petersburg. No creditcards accepted.
very pleasant and helpful reception staff, the hotel centrally located
The hotel was very near the centre of the city and close to all the shops, restaurants and bars
the location is great (in the quiet street, near to Nevskiy and Ligovskiy prospekts), the room is cosy in spite of the size. the wi-fi was really speedy, though it was payed by the hotel only when we asked for it)).it is a real budget hotel much nicer than any of this category in Paris) the breakfast is so far from the continental))
location is good The only think thati did not like it was that I could here the noise from other rooms quiet clearly.
The staff is extremely friendly, the hotel was very clean. The price was excellent, and the location was PERFECT. close walk to the blue metro line, which gets you pretty much everywhere you want to be in a hurry. Also not far from good restaurants, sightseeing, and shopping. hotel was also very clean, and has private bathrooms. I would stay here again. The room was smaller than I expected, but it was not a problem it still had everything I needed, wi-fi, small TV and a good sized bed. The entrance is a bit difficult to find, it's actually slightly down an alley off of Bolshoy Prospekt, even though the address is on Bolshoy.
the level of accommodation and location corrsponds to price this is no hotel, this is a big flat in the 1st floor in the house with a six rooms without private zone, you hear everything....
just easy to get around the city the thin walls
