Great location. Friendly and efficient staff.
Its location is good to see nice view. Internet access is not available.
Good Hotel, friendly welcoming staff and atmosphere No
Great location for walking both up and down the Poqueira Valley.Very friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant - menu de la dia with 3 choices for starter, main and desert for around 12 euros. Free internet!
Excellent location for relaxing or as a base for walks. Staff were generally very helpful.Best continental breakfast of any hotel we have stayed in. Evening buffet was excellent value for money with plenty of choice and good standard. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be a nice addition after being out all day
Delightful in every way!
The location of the hotel is excellent with good views and superbly placed for long hikes into quite serious mountains. It is worth remembering that the hotel is at 1500m altitude and is in quite a rustic area so it's certainly not a slick city centre hotel. Staff were knowledable about local hikes. Very well suited for upmarket hikers.
Very helpful. Rooms comfortable and relaxed. Food plentiful and good.
Location and views. Village facilities. Pool not yet commissioned for the summer.
warm welcome, professional attention to detail, carefully designed rooms that provide with space, comfort, cleanliness. culinary is not a strong point.
The peace and quiet of the surrounding areas Nobody spoke any English except the receptionist. Everything was in Spanish, including the menu, and the waiter spoke no English at all. We chose off the menu blindly because we couldn't communicate.
the receptionist was friendly and very helpful and the food was good the room was not clean or properly serviced on arrival-no towels, bathmat or robes however this was quicklt rectified
Excellent friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful setting with superb sunset views of distant hills, great swimming pool for cooling off after hiking, quiet tranquil little village. Apartments were basic but rustic with a lot of charm, nicely decorated. Restaurant was very good, hearty meals at a good price. Very keen to go back nex year
Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful manager. Good dinner menu, well cooked. The rooms were a little dark and uninviting
The serenity of the environment and the cleanliness of the hotel were first class. We got automatically upgraded one category since most rooms were not occupied. The remote key to open the gate at night did not work so we had to climb over the gate to operate the key from the inside. That was OK for us but I can imagine less mobile people to have an issue (and there was no number to call to solve the issue at that time of night).
The apartments are amazing, quiet, great views, excellent value for ~50 Euro! The hotel is 1-2 km from town, we did find a path the last day to avoid the road, but it is meant for those with a car. Some laundry soap would be nice. Also the pool was still being filled the day we arrived (1 June).
the setting in the mountains is amazing, fantastic - and then the swimming pool with views on the tranquil mountains
A magical location, varied and easy to follow walks in the region. Lovely out door and indoor pools to relax in after a days walking. Warm friendly staff.
A charming hotel. Very large rooms; inside + outside swimming pools; great view over the Sierra Nevada. It was a joy staying here. 5 Minutes from Trevelez. Staff speak very little English.
quiet hotel building works at front of hotel
bit rooms, all with nice view no airconditioning. Spa was not included and too expensive.
Great views. Nice food. Bathroom had an unpleasant odour. Swimming pool was closed. Tv in my room did not work.
fantastic location from a scenic perspective, but very isolated in terms of other villages (so eating out or drinking is a long drive and thats if anything is open) . The friendliness of the staff was a real plus point Hotel was a four star rated but was very tired and needs a refurb!.Dinner is too late at 9pm should be 8pm.....
The view was marvelous with the Sierra Nevada in the backyard, the outside swimming pool was very good, but cold. The room size was huge and there was a pool table in the lounge. All and all a hotel with a very nice atmosphere. Hot water from solar energy led to cold water with the cloudy weather, not all staff spoke English very well
The views Rooms were not very clean, bed was very uncomfortable, saw lots of bugs in our room, food was not enjoyable, getting there was a huge pain. Do not recommend this hotel. Worst we stayed in while traveling in Spain. Prices were way to expensive for what it was.
Although the hotel is 5 minutes drive from the nearest town (Trevelez), it is what it claims, a self-contained village. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Facilities are excellent; an outdoor pool giving a superb view of the mountains and a very warm indoor pool. Buffet breakfast provides good choice and dinners are of high quality at reasonable price. A good base to explore Alpujarras. There were occasions when we felt that there were insufficient staff on duty to attend to the needs of the guests quickly enough.
We stayed one night on our honeymoon traveling through Spain. The hotel was small but staffed with very friendly people. Their restaurant is fantastic. Do heed other traveler's notes about access -- it was a challenge navigating the VERY narrow streets to the hotel's parking lot, but it was manageable with a planned route and the assistance of a spotter.
The view is extraordinary. You need a small car to reach the parking.
The room are clean. The restaurant serves good food and not expensive at all. Except the good food, the red wine de la casa is not drinkable (maybe just this bottle). The isolation between rooms are very poor, we can hear clearly what is happening next door, even when people switch off the light or snoring.
Nice hotel, good coking, wonderful surroundings, nice and helpful people in the hotel , interresting old town,
I don't know excactly what it is, but the hotels location, the wonderful owners, the atmosphere, makes this hotel the best place for us to stay, and overgoes the most expensive luxurious hotels for me, because of its authentic atmosphere. It is perfect for walks in the Alpujarras. We would love to come back
location, service, cleanliness, decor, everything about the place was lovely thank you no
Very friendly staff, that made us feel at home right away. Room was functional and the balcony lovely. The food in the restaurant was excellent.
Lovely situation with good views from the balcony. Very friendly & attentive staff. Good standard of meals. Excellent value Room was slightly smokey.
Stunning location within Las Alpujarras among vineyards, almond trees and olive trees. Family run and pleasant staff. Good wholesome food. Reasonably priced.
Very nice room, clean and comfortable. Nice balcony from wich it was possible to watch the nice mountains view. Nice staff, very kind. The resaurant meals are very good and cheap.
This was the most pleasant stay in all our trip in Spain. Even though it was not a very luxurious hotel, the personal attention we got from the owners was formidable. All rooms have balconies with exceptional views. We will definitely try to come back to the Almirez and stay longer next time. It takes only 40 minutes to nice beaches, if you want to combine both swimming and the relaxation in the mountains. There was nothing we did not like
Very friendly owners, very good food and for the one night we were there - very quiet. Nothing
This family hotel was a real good Spanish experience. When booking a suite one expects some facilities as coffee making and a small fridge for room refreshments. A missed oppertunity.
Very well run and helpful staff. Beautiful location.
The staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were great, with heated floors and a private patio. Nice restaurant and bar as well. My only complaint is that it is a bit far from the three closest towns that tourists are likely to want to visit. Even though the straight distance isn't very far in km, the winding roads make the trip a bit long, if you've had a long day or a few drinks
